I’m new to airtable, it’s great! I’m trying to use it for a sign-off / authority database for leave requests, expenses claims etc. Is it possible to give a collaborator access to some columns but not others on the database? For instance they could create new requests but only people with sign-off authority could tick the “approved” column for requests. I know you could achieve this effect with a form for new entries but I’d prefer permission controls. Please let me know, thanks Thanks Lyndon
I have recently started with a new organisation as an Airtable Admin for their Enterprise account, and have just recently validated the domain and am now trying to manage user accounts and permissions more effectively including good procedure for deactivation/off-boarding. I've noticed that when editing 'collaborator' fields LOTS of old staff member accounts appear as options and it says they are "Enterprise account users without base access", these same people also appear as options when I am adding people into Airtable user groups. Ideally I would love it if these old staff members were hidden from these lists as it's confusing to sift through so many names.I thought perhaps I could rename them to "zz_name" or something via the Admin panel to at least push them to the bottom of the list and indicate visually that they aren't active, however, I have just realised I can't see them in the Admin user panel AT ALL! I am trying to create an order form for the company I work for. Right now we get orders through email, where the customer just writes what they want on a paper, takes a picture of it, and emails it to us. I need the madness to stop. So I've been looking to create either a form or an interface of sorts that will allow my customers to be able to input their name, and company info including shipping address, and then they are allowed to input their own part numbers and quantity.I do not want to create an inventory table for them to be able to choose, as there are thousands of constantly changing parts and numbers. The customers know the numbers they need to use and how many they need.I am new to Airtable but I do have a decent understanding of how databases are structured and linked relationships. I am having trouble creating the form and allowing the customer to input a number and quantity on their own. If this is too vague, I can explain further on whatever area needs more detail.M
Whenever I attempt to edit some of the binary settings of one of my forms (e.g. the option to "redirect to URL" upon form submission), I get redirected to create a new base. I think this is a bug, but when I chat with the help bot it tells me to "send this information to Airtable support". When I ask the bot how to contact Airtable support, it does not respond. When I try to follow these instructions, I get directed back to the bot. How can I report this bug so it gets fixed?
Hi,I created a base for our nonprofit to manage a program. The main table is called "teams," as we work with teams of young people and educators. I created another table that is linked to teams, called Interactions, so that staff can log interactions there- similar to a CRM. I have a Lookup field in the teams table to show the date and text of the last interaction.The issue is that staff are ignoring this and using Comments instead. I have never instructed anyone to use comments, but it's there and it seems to feel comfortable for people. I am trying to think ahead to issues this will cause. I noticed in another question that you can't call up the most recent comment. Anything else?Thank you!
SOLVED - Seems to have just been an Airtable Glitch for the day.Hi,I have a contacts table from one base synced to another base.It is 2 way synced and I have all settings set to allow editing and creation of new records:However, on the other base with the table synced, it is not allowing me to create new records.It does let me edit records which syncs up fine - but now creating new: Any ideas why this isn't working? Hello everyone,I have a specific need that I can't seem to solve. Basically, my database includes training dates with multiple participants. At the end of the module, we ask the trainer to evaluate each participant on at least 5 criteria.So, for each training, there are 5 or more associated criteria. And each registration is linked to an evaluation form to which each criterion is attached, which are rated on 5 stars at three points in time: "beginning of the training," "middle of the training," and "end of the training."I need to send a form that groups all the evaluation forms of the session as a linked record. And then I need to be able to click on these evaluation forms and then on each criterion on which I can add a rating at the beginning, a rating in the middle, and a rating at the end (3 columns in the rating format). Hello all I’m a reporter who uses Airtable to keep track of big developments on the subjects I cover. When I find a relevant article, I use the clipper to pull the page title, URL and whatever text I’ve highlighted in the story into a table. It’s a nice system. But what I can’t work out is a way to easily log the date of an article’s publication. It doesn’t seem possible to add a date field into the clipper, so at the moment, I’m writing the date manually into a short text field. That’s fine - though if I want to arrange the articles by date, or generate a timeline infographic, I’ll run into problems. How might I work around this? Dave
Hi. I'm just getting started on airtable and I want information on my form builder in my dropdown menu to show on the actual form. When in the form builder it shows the first and last name plus other info such as status and email addresses but on the actual form when I click on the same field it only shows me the first name. Is there a way to change this? I'm trying to change it from the second photo to the first photo on the actual form.

When filling out a form, when selecting a record in a linked field, you see [pic1.jpg].Is it possible to change it so that it looks like [pic2.jpg], in the form view itself.This way you are able to see more information about the record you are selecting. I am creating an automation to bring into AirTable records from a Google sheet that is being populated by Google forms. One of the fields is a Date-Timestamp field. However, even though the formatting is the same in both the spreadsheet and AirTable (namely, Date-Timestamp with the same formatting parameters), the Test Run yields an error that says, “Field ‘Date-Time’ cannot accept the provided value: Could not convert string to date.” Shouldn’t an AirTable automation designed to bring in a variety of fields from Google Sheets be able to bring in Date-Timestamp data without converting strings to dates? Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks. Mike

I cannot get DATETIME_FORMAT to work in a Rollup Field. There are multiple dates present in the Rollup Field, and each displays correctly when NOT using the DATETIME_FORMAT I am attempting: DATETIME_FORMAT(ARRAYJOIN(values, “\n”), “M/DD/YYYY”) But that results in an #ERROR! when there are multiple dates present in the Rollup. It works correctly when there is only one date present in the Rollup Field. I’ve found a couple topics on this same issue, but no resolutions. Thank you!
The little grammarly bubble keeps showing on top of what I'm typing. It's specially bad and annoying when I'm working on formula fields and I can't see my formula. How do I turn it off? Toggling the extension off on chrome didn't seem to work. Cheers,
Can Forms be customized outside of just adding the fields in the table? Can I add labels or pictures that don’t add anything to the table but improve the look of the form?
Hi there - I’m looking to set up a formula to determine fiscal year and can’t figure it out. Help appreciated I tried setting up an IF function (i.e., if the date in the “Engagement End Date” column is on or after 7/1/2018, then the fiscal year is 2019, and if the date in the “Engagement End Date” is on or after 7/1/2019, then fiscal year is 2020.) Also - is there a formula in Airtable comparable to IFERROR? I don’t quite think ERROR and ISERROR formulas are what I’m looking for. Thanks! Thanks!
Hi All,Hopefully, there's more help here haha.My automations have stopped working, I've checked the run count and its around 15k well below the max. During my search for support I found my next invoice has changed from $54 to $257.20!!!!! Now I definitely did not permit this change and I don't know whats changed since my last payment. I've tried getting in contact with Airtable support via the chat but its been 30mins with no response. If you have any potential answers I would be very grateful to hear them.
Hello!Is it possible to enable the revision history to show exact dates (instead of "1w ago, 3y ago," etc.?I continue to run into this--where I am trying to find out when a change was made and I get these approximations. Hoping there is a fix for this or maybe it can be requested on future updates.

I have a form embedded on a wordpress/elementor page, and it is loading extremely slow. On some devices it takes up to 15 seconds to load. This is impacting my conversions.I already reached out to support, but while I wait for them to get back to me, has anyone dealt with this and found a solution?
Once a week I want to email a report from Airtable to stakeholders (who don’t have Airtable logins). This report is based on rows created in a particular table in the last 7 days. Basically a filtered view of the table. The report could be as text, PDF, Excel or HTML. I have managed to use Zapier to send some data on a schedule. But the ‘Find record’ zap only seems to be able to find a single record. Ideally I want to be able to send a whole view or block. Any ideas? This seems like a fairly basic use case.
Let’s say I have the price of several items in column A, and I plan to add more items periodically. How do I create a field that automatically tallies the total of column A as I add each item? Thanks for your help!
I am building an inventory table for a company that I am integrating into their duda website to display their products. On the main inventory page, the "main" image connects to the gallery widget with no issue. On the dynamic page that showcases each individual product, I'd like to highlight the 6-8 additional product images that I've uploaded into a field in Airtable titled "product images". When I connect a gallery widget to this field, nothing appears. Is it possible to connect a widget to a group of images? If not, how can I showcase all images without creating a separate field in airtable for each on and then connecting those fields to individual widgets on the site? Image attached of my setup.
I have an automation that sends an email. Now to my question, when sending a message, there is always the sender's email address at the top and then the following (see attachment). Is it possible to remove the text highlighted in red?
