I need to understand one thing regarding billing per user per workspace. If I am the owner and at the same time creator/editor/everything of 3 different workspaces, am I charged as “one user” or “three users”? There are three of use in the team who will need access to many different workspaces. Will we get charged per email address (even if that user uses 4 workspaces) or per number of workspaces that user uses? I have been using this booking form template (here is the community post where I found it) to try and create a student registration form, but I'm running into some snags. I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. The basic requirement is below (once I have that established, I'll play around and try and make it a bit better). What I need is a form where:Student enters in their student ID.Student chooses a research topic from the list.When they submit, this reserves that topic for that student, assigning their student ID against the topic. I have five topics (for simplicity sake: blue, green, red, pink, brown), and each topic has 25 spaces available. Is it possible to only show a certain Extension Dashboard based on the selected Table view? Whenever I am in Table A, I want to see only the extension dashboard for Table A without having to select and change it every time.

This was asked by another user, but closed without a response. What are workarounds, other than downloading/uploading a CSV, to copy a table structure from one base to another?

Hi,I am new to Airtable coming from Xano and using Thunkable as my mobile front end.In Xano I can create and API endpoint which will allow me to search for a specific value in a column in a table.  I see that I use the AirTable API to get a record but that is by record id.If I wanted to search by a field, email address for example, how would I accomplish this?ThanksSteve

I have synced my calendar (using sync to an external calendar option under share view) to my google calendar on my laptop. I see the events from that calendar there. On my phone, I have set up to see google calendars. When I look at a date that I know there is an event for, I do not see it. Any ideas as to why I would see it on the desktop calendar, but not on my phone?

Below is what I want to do, more specifically, what training can I consume to achieve the goals outlined below. In a perfect world, I would also be able to put this data into a form or template that allows for repeatable recreation without making it from scratch every time. I'm trying to figure out how to build a data set that manages several different parameters of a home automation system. I need to store devices by types and rooms/areas. So I created an airtable app and now I want to hand it over to my client so he can do the subscription himself.Am I right in thinking the only way to do this is:create a new workspaceMake him the owner of the workspacemove the base and interface into this new workspace.It does seem overly convoluted. He is added to the current workspace but i can't see a way to upgrade his access to owner.Am I missing something?Thanks

Hi!I've got 2 bases, one for managing a list of employees and the other for managing some cars.I need to assign some tasks to specific Users from the employee base so I decided to sync the Employee details table to the Cars base.After the sync, the result table in the Cars base shows the User field (of User type) from the Employee details table as an User field (of Text type).What do I need to do, as I need the User field in User format.Thanks!

I am not a habitual Airtable user, nor am I much of a tech person, so I apologize if this question has been answered and I wasn't able to find it.I am developing a database for my perfume collection using Airtable, and for most parts of this project it's great. I would really like to be able to track the dates that I wore each scent (currently I do this in a hand-written notebook, and I have years of data that I'd love to input). I can't figure out if this is possible or how I might do it. I have seen both "no" and "yes?" posts but nothing definitive or for what sounds like the kind of tracking I am doing.Thank you very much in advance!

I am trying to link a note to a record but I've gotten error codes that always change even when I perform the same action. I've tried using different browsers, clearing cache and cookies, clearing history. Nothing works. I've submitted a ticket to AirTable but I have yet to hear from them. Nobody else internally is experiencing this. 

I am facing issue in Files Table. I have column name “File” ,I did the setup to get the size using formula, in column “File size” but that is not working now. Can you please help me with this issue? Actually, It was working till yesterday , but today it stopped working and I cannot find the formula. Can you please help me out with the task, I jsut want formula to get File Size from From Attachments.

Hi all I’m just getting started with Airtable after seeing a fair few posts telling me I should use it instead of a CRM. I’m here but I’m not seeing what a the fuss is about? Is anyone actually using this as a CRM? As well as using it as a CRM, I want to use it as a marketing tool which I also hear it can do with ease. How do I post to social media from Airtable? There are soooooooo many videos on YouTube but none explain how to actually do it. Are there actually any good tutorials to get started rather than these clickbait ones. Thanks

What are the display dimensions of gallery view images? I want to upload the perfect size image so there is no re-scale or crop…or at least keep them to a minimum.

I have synced my airtable calendar to google cal, but in google it only shows the date field from my airtable, not the name of the event-I find no option to change what shows in google calendar-I don't need the date to appear only the event name in the correct date.HELPPPPPPP-Thanks.. 

Hello, Everyone!I am desperately looking for a solution for something where I thought that it's easy to do. But somehow this is beyond my thinking. 🙂The situation:I have a table, grouped by a reference ("EXA"). Several records with same reference ("EXA") go through different "status" until it's done. The "status" gets updated slice by slice for the records with same reference. So far so good.What do I want to achieve:once all records under same reference have reached the same status (for e.g. "DELIVERED to project site") I want to get an alert. Best would be an automation which sends an email saying that all is done for EXA# 24DE535529298955B6.I hope the solution is not too easy, otherwise I would be frustrated by my own skills. 🙂Kai 

If I am in Base A and click the “+ Add or Import” button and select the “Sync data from Airtable base” option and select a table from Base B it brings in and syncs the table. One thing though is single and multiple collaborator fields get converted to Single line text. Is this expected? Is there a way to make it stay as a Collaborator field?

Hello,I am trying to create a stacked bar graph in Airtable like the one I made in excel, but there's something I'm not quite understanding about how the chart extension tool works in Airtable. I cannot group the different day ranges under the record #, only the total, not the individual segments stacked. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.  

I've noticed we've been having issues managing the number of "Builders" we have on our company's Airtable account. In the Admin Panel it indicates that we have a limited number of "Builders" and "Contributors" included in our plan, and there are billing implications if we go over this number. Unfortunately we keep going over the number but can't seem to work out why!I have tried to find more information on the functionality of these user seat license types, but all I could find was information about Airtable user permission levels (Owner, Creator, Editor, Commenter, Viewer) and haven't been able to work out how they are connected, but the definitions of the user seat license types seems to indicate that a "Builder" seat allows users to have Creator level permissions, and a "Contributor" seat allows users to have Editor level permissions:Builder: Builders are able to create and customise bases and workspacesContributor: Contributors are able to edit records in existing bases and wo

Was just informed that our card was being charged for a pro plan. There was an unauthorized person on our account.  We don't use AirTable and we followed all the instructions: (a)  I deleted the user and then (d) downgraded, but then I got a message that AirTable will go to free on March 17, 2025.  This is unacceptable.

How to make combinations of field in between columns : Exemple : Product ALPHA - VARIANT LINKED TO IT : SUBVARIANT-X - Items compatible 1,2,3. + SUBVARIANT-Y compatible 7,8,9- If I select SUBVARIANT-X : item 1. Then only SUBVARIANT 8 is compatible is this combination.Any suggestion to make it happen ?
