This morning, trying to use an interface created a long time ago, I encountered an anomaly:when I go to create a record, it does not extract the list of valid values if it has to extract them from a table via a filter.I enclose two screenshots showing how the list on the form is empty, while the preview list of selection criteria has the correct values.Thank you for your support in resolving this anomaly

I've got an automation in Airtable to send a record ID to Make to then fetch some data and send a whatsapp message. When I send the content of a 'Long text field' - it fails. I've tried adding a function in Make to remove all special characters like line feeds etc. and send to WhatsApp - but I can't get it right. Anybody know what special characters are used or the regex I could use?In my trouble-shooting, I created a single line text field and copied the text in there - then use that to send to whatsapp - and it works...  just without the line breaks. Any ideas for me please? 

Is anyone using the Resource Allocation Template, or is there a explainer video on how to use it? It looks awesome, but it's overwhelming. I'm not sure where to start. Regarding how to set up that whole process, I'm unsure how to even begin setting an amount of time required to complete a given task. We have a work order that comes in for a design task. It may take 8 hours... no problem, I can assess that and assign a time of 8 hours. But that job then comes in and out numerous times for varying degrees of revisions. Those revisits don't require 8 hours each, so I'm unclear how to best set the time duration so that it's properly allocated once the initial job goes out the door.Any insights on how to start using the amazing new Resource Allocation template is a

Previously I have added PDF attachment via API call. This was done using presigned S3 url of a PDF and updating table's field with {"url": url, "filename": filename} whereas url has no ".pdf" in but filename bears the form of "xxx.pdf". These PDFs can be opened on iphone app through open with browser, where redirection would be opening a pdf. (Content-type GETing the link is application/pdf).From yesterday, uploads done the same way would get the right pdf file but with header Content-type: binary/octet-stream. On the phone the pdf failed at displaying and tried to download a file instead. My question is:i)  has anyone experienced specifying filename with .pdf now but not getting pdf back?ii) has anyone got a way way to fix this issue?This change is breaking existing business n

Two questions: Is there a way to say that a record cannot be created without certain fields being filled in? Some fields may be optional but some are absolutely mandatory. Is there a way to constrain the values that a field may contain? For example, you may want to limit a numeric field to values > 0 and less then 100 and reject a record whose field falls outside of those constraints Thanks in advance!

I’ve duplicated some tables and then afterwards renamed them. However, in lookup fields when selecting a table to lookup from the original name still shows up, which makes me have to guess which is the right one. Anyone experiencing this too and knows how to recache the table names or sth?

Hi y'all - I think I've found a VERY dumb breach in Airtable that's leaking PII.  I've sent in an email and reached out via the help system, but I suspect these forums might be better monitored - could an Airtable rep please find a way to contact me for proof? If I can figure out a way to share an image w/o showing how the breach is happening, I'll update this thread and do so.

I want to be able to use something like the Forms feature to add multiple records in one go for non-licensed viewers, but the forms feature is limited to one record at a time and the editable shared view does not support copy and paste. For example: I have a Project name record I want to add (view #1) x number of tasks records linked to the project name (view #2) and x number of project collaborators records linked to the project name (view #3). Hello. I have a form on my photo studio website that’s connected to a base where I collect and manage client data and bookings. When someone fills out the form an email is generated and sent to me via Airtable with the subject line… “Airtable forms: someone has responded to Photo/Film Booking Request” I’d like to change the subject to something shorter and more relevant like, “Your 08.02.18 Photo/Film Booking Request at (Studio Name)”. This way I can simply reply back to the person with a short, relevant email subject line with the original request email as the first message. Is changing the subject line possible in Airtable or do I need to use Zapier or some other integration? I noticed the SendGrid block, but have not had time to play with that. Thanks!! ~ G

I have many columns that use multiple select fields. However, there are times that they need an option called “Other” and the ability to type in a new option. This option should not be saved into the list of options. I can add another column and let them type in the option there, but since there are so many of these the table is getting quite bulky. Is there a way to have a custom field where you can display an option in multiple select but not add it into the list of options? Or is there another way to accomplish this? Thank you,

Hi all, please help put me out of my misery. I have a database to organise film shoots. I have three tables: scenes, dates and kit Each entry in the scenes table links to an entry in the dates table (the date we’ll shoot that scene), and may or may not link to a number of items in the kit table, indicating whether that scene requires specialist kit (cranes, drones etc). I am trying to make a field in the dates table that summarises what kit is required for that day. When I make this a rollup pointed at the scenes table, kit field, it pulls through all the entries correctly but obviously as there can be many scenes scheduled for a particular day, each of which might require the same bits of kit, I get a lot of duplicates. No matter what combination of ARRAYUNIQUE, ARRAYFLATTEN, ARRAYCOMPACT etc etc I try I can’t get the rollup to show only unique items. I use Airtable for my small property management business. I have to send a list of customers and some data about them to my insurance agent every year as part of the renewal process for my liability insurance. Insurance companies do not want electronic views of databases. They want hard copies. Paper. To do this, it appears that I have to spend a considerable amount of money to use another application to get my data out of Airtable.Is there a way to print a view or an Interface, or send a pdf of the info, or an email that can be printed? If not, then Airtable has become of no value to me. I need to communicate the way my vendors do. A cannot bend to them to using systems they do not want. I am a very small company. Whenever I try to communicate with my agent, the webpage prompts me to upgrade my Twilio account from the free trial. Air's tech support mentioned that I can use any plan other than the free trial. However, my budget is extremely limited, around $100 per month, and I'm not familiar with Twilio's pricing. Which Twilio plan would be the most affordable while still being usable for Air.AI cold calling? Ideally, I'd like to allocate $1 per day for Air.AI, which totals to $30 per month.Which Twilio plan would you recommend that fits within my budget?I'm a complete beginner, and I greatly appreciate anyone who takes the time to assist me. Hey community, I'd like to export all my airtable data (including files) which turns out to be trickier than (at least) I hoped: I understand that there is a CSV export function. The main issue for me here is that the file(s) are stored via the expiry link which makes it... not really (re)useable.Therefore, is there a way to either transform the expiry link into a permanent link or be able to download the complete data?By complete data I also mean keeping the relations: I noticed that there is a way through zapier to export all the data (as files) but they would then have to be linked to the record manually again (from my understanding). Any input is highly appreciated!Thanks, Michael

Does anyone have an issue with emails being rejected from an airtable automation? There was a migration from a different hosting service we used our mail servers on I have disconnected and cleared the cache and reconnected the account but the same issue is happening as the email was the same but the hosting changed I am not getting this issue it seems like from other 3rd parties I was using. This was not doing this before there was no issues sending emails from outlook in connection in airtable so I have no idea what is happening

I'm fairly new to Airtable, so sorry if I'm asking something that is too obvious.I'm thinking about building a prototype for a tool where I use Airtable to store Data via forms, the idea is that the users can "create" a color by giving the values for RGB or HEX, they get a preview of the color and after they commit, the color is stored with the record. It should be a DB of materials for Architectural Visualization, so these colors are the base to configure a material.Is it possible to do something like this with Airtable or I'm in the wrong place here?

I have tried on numerous occasions to cut data from excel and past into Airtable table but keep getting an error.  It is a rather big table but I have done the same operation with earlier data and had not issues.  What:s going on?  See error message below

I’ve been researching the community board for posts on exporting attachments while preserving their association to the correct column (field) and row (record). Is it correct that: as of December 2020, AirTable does not support this behavior directly however, there are third party integration tools which serve this purpose ? If AirTable doesn’t do this directly, it seems like a very significant defect/omission in the product. Thanks for any guidance on this topic.

I have created a form in interface, however, i can't embed it into wordpress becasue "this content could not be embedded". Do you have any solution? If I need to use 3rd party App to redevelop this questionaire form and throw back answers to airtable, do you have any App recommendation as this airtable form has created many conditions with logic flow in order to collect questionaire from outsider? Thank you.  

Hey all, I am trying to add two static images within the extension page designer through the image url but after a few hours the images break and stop working. I have added the images I want to use to another table within the same airtable base and I am copying the image address to add that to the image url for the static image. How do you stop the static images breaking or is there another way to add static images into page designer?Any help would be amazing as I have googled and read other Q&A's and am completely stuck. 

I've contacted support for the first time in the summer of 2022 (!) and I'm still having the same 2 issues: copy/pasting between long text fields doesn't copy the text stylecopy/pasting makes the screen jump from the place in the long text field where I'm copy/pasting to the top of the screenBoth issues are VERY annoying. Is anyone else (still) having this problem?  @MaddieJ, now that support only seems to work for Enterprise clients, how can I escalate this best?! After hearing from support back then that they would look into it, never heard back from them 😑
