This is a repost from the AI Incubator I was a part of at the end of 2025.I just wanted to follow up on the AI Plays webinar, quite a few people were interested in the custom interfaces but were not entirely sure what they were capable of and how to generate them. Now I can’t find exact prompts, when I’ve been testing I’ve kind of just given a vague explanation of what I’ve wanted the interface to do and then iterated and fine tuned with specific prompts to make changes to the interface. From my understanding, Custom Interfaces use React UI Component which is essentially JavaScript and then uses a Tailwind CSS to control styling and layout. That is the extent of my code knowledge at the moment but its pretty powerful and can make some really pretty interfaces, and aesthetics are my favourite thing to play with 😂. I have a table holding some addresses across several fields (street,city, district etc). I would like an easy way to find possible duplicates in this table, given that the addresses entered are never exactly the same. So, “123 East Wilton Blvd, Westsea, Long Beach, Calif’ and ‘Beach Towers, 123 East Wilton Boulevard, Long Beach, Calif’ would suggest a match.I was wondering whether I could use an AI function to do this? Ideally when a new record is entered, the user would be prompted with the question - ‘This looks similar’Anyone done anything like this? I don’t have the luxury of a postcode lookup as the addresses are worldwide.

In my life outside all things Airtable I have a large collection of curated resources on Product Operations. podcasts, articles, resources I have created, along with my partner in crime on this venture. We want to create a custom GPT based on all this content that we can make available to our followers, peers and professionals. Does anyone have experience of being able to do this with Airtable? I think I can get the information into airtable using field agents to scan docs and pages, transcripts etc.  I would guess Omni would then take over and it would be used as the searcher and retrieves of summarized information. Thoughts?

Submitting our form causes buffering. The device used to fill out the form is a cell phone.I am not sure if it’s a data issue or maybe the size of the logo used in the form.Can anyone advise about this issue? Thank you

Hi all,I’m hoping for some guidance — I’m very close, but clearly missing something small.We are importing a PDF into Airtable and triggering an automation via a button. The PDF contains multiple features, and each feature includes nine distinct data points.Our automation flow is:Trigger (button click) Omni – Generate structured data Repeat for each Create recordIn the Generate structured data step:The output schema is set to Array Each array item is an Object The object contains nine key/value pairs, all defined as Text Omni correctly reports finding 27 features, which matches the documentIf we configure the schema as a single string, we reliably get one very accurate record created. When we switch to an array schema, Omni reports the correct number of items and allows us to use Repeat for each, but no records are created in the Create record step.The challenge seems to be:We need an array to repeat for each feature But when using the array output, Create record does not generate any

I’m trying to extract information from within our confluence setup, using field agents to locate specific piece of information from a specified page (via URL). I got it to work once, but now it just says it cannot access the page, as if it has no authentication (which is probably true). Is there a way to provide it with authentication to go do what it needs to do? Curious how I got it to work the first time too

Hello! I am baffled by this issue. Essentially, I am creating a way for my office to check-out certain items (laptop chargers, phone chargers, etc.) using QR codes. I’ve got a form that allows people to use their phones (yay!), and I’ve got an array of QR codes that are just text based and give the name of the item, so every time someone scans them, the text pops up with the item name, and then they answer form questions like:whether the item is being checked out or backed in (the person enters this themselves), the name of the person doing the checkingAnd this is great. My fields track all the information I need, the QR codes work, etc.  BUT I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME LINK these records to my “Equipment” table, which I am making so our tech team can keep an eye on things like:Is this item available or checked out currently? Who was the last person to check it out? When was it last checked out?As you can see, I’ve tried a linked field, but I have to continuously select the Equipment N

Our team currently uses a legacy spreadsheet in Excel that is connected to Power Automate. This is visible by many teams and transitioning this workflow from Spreadsheet to Airtable would cause more issues than concerns. I’m wonder if its possible to connect excel to Airtable and make it live so everything is in real-time so that I can use Airtable dashboards to showcase the data we get in the spreadsheet. Is a 3rd party application needed?

We’ve been testing AI agents in production since around April 2025, and what’s already working well is the shift away from rigid trigger action workflows toward agent-led orchestration. Instead of chaining dozens of conditional steps, we’re using agents to interpret context, decide the next action, and only fall back to deterministic logic for guardrails (validation, approvals, cost limits, and failure handling). In practice, this has reduced workflow complexity and made automations far more resilient to edge cases and changing inputs. For those deploying agents today: how are you structuring the balance between agent autonomy and manual or rule-based oversight? What decisions do you still refuse to fully delegate?

My base has crashed. No one can access it for some reason. I’m able to access other bases but not this one. I’ve put in a customer support ticket but haven't gotten a confirmation email for it. It’s critical that I don't lose this information, please help!

Hi all, Am I correct in assuming that there’s no way to duplicate a base via API? It seems weird that there’s so much you can do loads of customisation with creating a base via API except you can’t do the 1-click duplicate which is available in the UI? The problem with the create base API is that several things don’t work - e.g. AI fields. It’s not practical to use API to create base then manually have to go in and configure a bunch of AI fields by copy/pasting the prompt in 😅 Any workarounds anyone has found?

I manage a statewide calendar on which people submit their events via a form. Many of these dates repeat weekly. How do I set up an automation to add subsequent events automatically rather than having to do it manually? 

AirTable newbie here. We have a reasonable sized AirTable databased with our providers of services. They have different modalities, levels of expertise, qualifications etc.The filters we have in work fine but this one colleague is untrainable (the Director of the company so not approachable or open to more training) and finds them far too confusing. She has her own grid.Questions: is it possible to make some preset filters which are clearly labelled the she can just click once? E.g X type of provider, with X modality in X location. 2. It would be good to remove other filter possibilities so she doesn't get confused.At the moment under the filter boxes in the first drop down after "where" we have a long list (e.g surname, contract, role, status, ID, long list of qualification types, availability, referrals preferences etc. The middle box (if contains, is not, is any of etc) changes depending on the selection of the first box (not a long list) and the final box is also dependent on the f

I’ve been working on AirTable for a few years now, and I’ve developed a decent set of tooling for inspecting and documenting particularly complex AirTable bases. Edit after ~1h of investigation: it turns out these are rate limits that are the culprit. Which raises a new question: if I change the email address in the automation, will it impact the runs that are currently in progress? My guess is no. And so, if no, is there any way to trigger a re-run of the currently stuck runs?  I several automations running that involve sending emails. They have both run over 6k times until yesterday around 8pm many runs are stuck in “pending”. There are several things puzzling about it:There isn’t a clear cut off when the automations started getting stuck. See screenshot below: several still pending from before 9pm on Oct 16, followed by successful runs, then everything after 10.15pm is pending.2.Runs stuck at different steps. The automation has two steps: find records, then send email. The earlier runs are stuck at the step of sending an email. I’m creating a list of property. Each item has one or more owners pulled from a separate table. I need to be able to add multiple owners for each property and assign a percentage of ownership. Eg. Property A is 100% owned by Bob    (owner is pulled from another table but percentage is specific to this record)Property B is 50% owned by Bob and 50% owned by Jim. Any ideas?

I track media hits through a Base with 3 tabs/tables: Reporter Info, Media Campaigns and Articles. I’ve been trying to link these 3 tables so when I enter an article’s URL in the Article table, which also has columns for Media Campaign and Reporter Name, it will automatically fill the article URL and Reporter Name in the Media Campaigns table...and the article URL and media campaign name will appear in the Reporter Info table under the Reporter’s Name. I have managed to link the Articles table to the Media Campaigns, so the article’s URL will auto-fill but the corresponding Reporter field won’t automatically appear for that Campaign. And If I’m on the Reporters page, and select the reporter’s name, I have to enter the Media Campaign name, which then does auto-fill the article URL tied to that media campaign and reporter.But I want all 3 fields to automatically fill in the Reporter & Media Campaign tables, when I enter those fields in the Article Table. Is that possible?
