These changes make forms more powerful and allow you to create more sophisticated workflows while simplifying the experience for people using your apps. Conditional Fields: Now you can add rules to show and hide fields in a form based on how your users have filled out earlier fields. You can now support more complicated workflows with Interfaces forms, yet your users will only have to fill out the fields relevant to them. 🔒Limiting Select Options: Take complete control over the available select options in forms. You can now determine which single or multi-select choices are accessible, ensuring a streamlined experience for your users. Say goodbye to unnecessary options cluttering up the form! 📝 Read-only Default Values: Provide valuable context to your users while maintaining control over specific form fields.

With this launch, we're completing the set of field types you can use to dynamically filter results in the linked record picker-- you can now dynamically filter on Single Select, Multiple Select, Date, Formula, Rollup and computed field types. We just launched a feature called attachment annotations that lets you leave comments in a specific position on an Airtable attachment. You can give fast, clear, actionable feedback on any type of visual asset to help speed up your creative process. We currently support annotations on images (JPEGs, PNGs, and GIFs) and videos (MP4 and WebM). Hi all - I hope your week is going well. As you may have noticed this morning, editable shared views was accidentally enabled for all Airtable users and has since been rolled back. First, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused and acknowledge that we know this is a feature that the community is excited about. It has been great to watch people become experts in 30 minutes to share with the community and see all the excitement on Twitter. We know how upsetting it may be that this was accidentally enabled and we want to share some insights into what happened with all of you. We know that collaboration in Airtable is top of mind for many of you (us too!), and the editable shared view feature is one of the many ways we’ve explored making that experience more impactful. Hey everyone, I'm Ruihan, a software engineer at Airtable working on our List View feature. I’m happy to announce another exciting update – grouping! You will now be able to add up to two groups to the bottom-most level of your List View. To add a group in your base, select “Group” in the view menu bar. To add a group to a list view in your interface, head over to your properties panel to enable grouping. Afterwards, you will also be able to sort groups, and drag and drop items from one group to another. We hope this update adds more value to your experience using List View and we’re excited to bring even more useful improvements to this feature in the coming months. TL;DR: We’ve added a new way to quickly group your data in Airtable. Hi Airtable community! My name is Sean and I’m an engineer here at Airtable, focused on finding ways to make Airtable easier to use for everyone. In interviews with users across the board, we’ve heard lots of feedback about confusion with our groups, sorting, and filtering. New users were especially confused with understanding how these features worked and were afraid to test them out for fear of “breaking everything”. With that in mind, we’re in the process of rolling out two features we’re calling “Quick groups” and “quick sort”. Simply put, we’ll make some suggestions based on existing, easily groupable (or sortable) fields already in your base. For example, we’ll recommend grouping by fields such as single-select fields, linked records, and more. And if you want to group by a field we haven’t suggested, clicking “See all fields” will let you do just that. For sorting, you’ll see an option to sort by every field wi

List View is a new view type that makes it easy to create, edit, and manage hierarchical data —whether its projects and tasks, campaigns and deliverables, or a product roadmap and features —all within Airtable. List View is built for creating and managing simple or complex projects, whether a user is looking to manage a single product roadmap or marketing campaign, build company-wide OKRs, or even manage the episode production of a TV show’s season. Projects typically have a number of tasks, and with List View, you can easily organize those tasks based on importance, urgency, deadline, status, or another category. I’m excited to share some updates that we’ve recently made to colors on the platform, designed to improve the Airtable experience. These updates include: Increased vibrancy and contrast of core colors. We’ve refined both the contrast of text and colors against backgrounds. A dark, high-contrast color palette: 10 brand-new colors available to Pro and Enterprise teams. Greater distinction between color combinations, such as those used to indicate status in multiple select fields. Improved support for people with anomalous trichromatic and dichromatic color vision. We are excited to share that AI in Automations is available for everyone participating in the AI beta, along with the ability to generate automatically with GPT-4, in larger bases, and larger context windows! AI in Automations Since the release of the AI field, we’ve received lots of positive feedback on its ease of use and the transformative impact it has had on your workflows. We've also taken note of your requests to integrate AI into Automations, thereby enabling more complex and versatile applications. We’re happy to introduce a new Automation action type, "Generate with AI assist." Hi all! Sharing an update you’ll see this week - you can now hide form fields from a submitters view in Airtable using a new URL parameter. This is meant to create a more seamless user experience by hiding any pre-filled fields on forms. For example, if you’re creating an NPS or beta feedback survey like you’ll see in the example below. On the right, you will see the experience before updating the URL and on the left-hand side, you can see the experience after.
