I have a base with two tables: Employees and Projects.Employees has a primary field of Employee ID and Project IDs.Projects has a primary field of Project ID, Project Manager(s), and Status.In the Employees table I want the field "Project IDs" to be automatically populated with the corresponding Project ID from the Projects table when the Employee ID matches any names in the Project Manager(s) and when Status is not "Completed".Sounds like it should be simple. But I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any assistance! 

Hey guys, I am trying to automate my content posting through AirTable and Make and everything works fine until Instagram has to access the video file/URL from AirTable, then it fails and gives me errors. It's because my table is not publicly accessible so how can I change that so Instagram can access the Video URL without being blocked?

Hello everyone,I'm working with an automation system on Make.com, where I generate images using an API and then send them to Airtable. However, I’m currently facing an issue:When the generated image is returned via a webhook from Make, I’m unable to insert it into a specific field of a table in Airtable.Here’s what I’ve done so far and the problem I’m encountering:I THINK I created an Airtable record with a Record ID (see screenshots).When I attempt to update this record in Airtable, I receive an error message stating, “Received invalid inputs.” At this point, the Record ID appears to be missing(see screenshots).I’m not sure how to retain the Record ID or even confirm whether a record was successfully created (see screenshots).Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can offer guidance on resolving this?Thank you for your help!

Hi, how are you?I have one table of leads that has the date each lead entered the system.Another table of advertising expenses where I pull yesterday's advertising expenses every day.At the end, I want to make a total of how much a lead costs me each day.I thought about adding a column in the advertising expenses table where I would pull the total of each day's leads and then divide the expense by the number of leads.But - I can't figure out how to do it correctly without running a lot of internal automation.Could it be that I'm missing something? It seems very simple and logical to me that it should be possible to do it quite easily.I would appreciate your help!Thank you very much!

Hello, I have a price list table and I want to update them following sector index.I will use api from the french statistic instute to automate the process but I am not sure which tool to use. I woyld be keen on just doing an airtable script.I am able to use the api of the institute (but I don't know how to code it into airtable script), the answer is a big xml file which contains basically a large number of series with dates  and values for each in two lists of the node serie X. What I want is to be able to parse this xml to merge the dates because there are the same and put it in a column and create one column for one index with the value.There are plenty of tools but I don't know which process is the best.Thanks you for your help!If required, I can attach the xml response file.

I’m very new to airtable but have learned a lot by watching tutorials and searching the community. I’m not sure if I’m searching for the right thing for this particular issue though. I’m setting up an airtable for a client who has a form that needs to be completed by his clients on a weekly basis. He needs to know who hasn’t submitted the form 3 days past the day he sends it out which will be on the same day each week. For instance, he’ll send the email with the form attached to be completed every Monday and if someone doesn’t fill it out by Thursday, we need to automate an email to follow up and remind them to complete it. I’m thinking I need a field dedicated to auto-populating whatever the current day is or at least a formula that shows when the week starts and when it ends. What formula do I need for this? This is literally the last thing I need in order to complete this airtable setup but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a solution with 2 tables: An Invoices table containing invoice information (date, amount, etc.) A Payments table containing payment information (amount, method, date, etc.) I want to link these tables so payments can be applied to invoices. I need a column that shows the remaining balance of each invoice after full or partial payments are applied. I created this using a lookup field and formula field in the Invoices table. However, I'm having trouble when I need to apply one payment across multiple invoices (either to the same vendor or different vendors). Currently, the lookup field calculates the full payment amount towards each invoice, which is incorrect. Is there a way to split a single payment across several invoices, allowing me to specify how much of the payment should be applied to each invoice? I need the final balances to correctly reflect the payments for each invoice.

I created a form for our rental car contract in Fillout. Everything is populating correctly into airtable except the time. My issue is that I put the "date - time out" in the form eg 12/19 8:00pm. It will populate to airtable as 12/20 3:00am if I have the airtable time set to UTC. if I change the time in airtable to Denver (which is correct) it populates properly from fillout to airtable. HOWEVER, when I open the PDF everything in changed back to being a day in the future at 3:00am. I think it will work properly if I create seperate fields for date and time, which I can do, but it seems like it should be able to work by doing it the way I am. I'm sure this is a timezone code I cant for the life of me figure out. Please help, Thanks!

Hi,I am setting up an automation with integration with Outlook emails. I can only find limited trigger options. I don't want all my emails to go into AT, only select ones. I figured I would do this by making the trigger conditional, i.e. only when an email is designated with a certain category will the integration trigger and the email post in AT. Does anybody know if this is possible?Thank you in advance, Christopher

Hi there-- When working with the Form builder (NOT the interface or the form view), I get the following message when I go to publish a form with a linked field. Does this mean that the linked record itself is somehow exposed, or is this warning just in regards to the fact that the linked field in the form builder can be configured to show additional fields and not just the primary field? Thanks in advance for any help.Linked records will be visible to anyone on the web.To hide sensitive data, edit the linked record field to limit what users can select. 

I have a list of volunteers that, when I collapse all, clearly shows their hours for the year - see attached.I would like to sort by this list in order to be able to see who had the most hours this year.Is that possible? If not - how else can I aggregate the info to get what I need?Thanks!~Lisa

Hi Airtable Community,I am wanting to create dashboards to represent my data from Airtable, using Google Looker Studio. What is the best way to get my data from Airtable into Looker Studio automatically? I have tried using the 3rd party Airtable Connectors offered on Google Looker Studio, but I keep getting an error where access is automatically revoked by Airtable due to  "security concerns". I have looked at the 3rd party integrations on Airtable and all seems fine there in terms of permissions.Using the Google sheets sync function won't work as my datasets are too large. And I am not too great at working with APIs either. And the Interface provided in Airtable is not an option.Any suggestions would be great!Thanks!!

I have this formula for calculating the quarter and the fiscal year of when an invoice should be paid.Program Start date is 7-4-2024 (which is Q3). I want it to be paid the quarter after (so this one would be be paid Q4, FY24) but its showing Q3 - FY25. Hi everyone, I need to create a single field that automatically shows the top 3 clients for each employee, based on the total number of bookings (records) they have assigned to them. Ideally the field would be dynamic and will adjust automatically. We are using this field to integrate with external platform, Glide.We have separate tables for clients, employees and bookings, and all utilise linked records for other purposes so we are very familiar with them. I'm just unsure about how to pull this data automatically, and if it can be done as a multiple linked-record field or if it would only work as a text formula.I understand a lookup field can be used to show the first or last 3 items based on the lookup source, however I can't sort this to show the highest ranked. Example below. I really need to show the top 3 clients for each employee, and be able to easily click into their details like a linked-record allows. Any ideas you have would be much appreciated. 

Hi - looking for some assistance with an interface where I am looking to achieve filtering according to a selection. The example is as follows, I have a timeline view which we will filter by a 'Customer' field, which we would then subsequently want a field which we have called 'Deals' that only relating to the specific customer. The currently 'Deal' filter is a look up field which comes from a separate base.  

Hi everyone, a few questions as I'm trying to find the best solution.Background; my employee would like to export client data from Airtable to import into a Google Sheet as they prefer working in that platform (they have issues with how AT can't filter/search via record comments, so we use a long text field for 'notes' but it overrides if someone else adds to it -- any solutions here would also be helpful).They will use the data to follow up with clients that have not booked their service after set periods of time (e.g. 3 months, 6 months, 12+ months).Anyway, back to the main issue - they want to be able to sort/filter, or automatically change the colour or move into a group after set periods of time since their latest booking. I'd prefer they work directly in AT as the data will always be up to date and it doesn't rely on automations. This is driving me nuts and I can’t believe I’m a hard time figuring this out… I have a personal AirTable account for my freelance clients, personal projects, domestic stuff. I also have several partners that use AirTable. I do not wish to merge these accounts because that’s insanity, but I would like to be able to use both simultaneously without signing out/signing in constantly. Is this a very easy feature that I can’t figure out? Otherwise I’m launching a private window + the app or I could use something like Station to have multiple instances running. Ideally, I’d be running both my personal account and my work account from the desktop app, mobile app, etc. Any ideas?

Hello,I have a project table and a milestones table. I want to update the status of my project record to “complete” when all the statuses of the linked milestones are also “complete”i have a roll up field which pulls back the unique array of the milestones, so I have all the milestone statuses comma separated as a text string, but I can’t figure out the formula to look at that field and determine if all the milestones are showing complete or not 

I’m trying to create an online volunteer sign up system very similar to SignUp Genius, but through Airtable so that the data is easier to work with on my end for scheduling and data management. Ideally, it would show the event options, the position options, and then once all the positions are filled for each particular it would no longer show the option to sign up for that event. I would want to gather each individual volunteers name, email, and phone number. So this is less for long term volunteer management right now, but so sign ups and scheduling management for a series of related events with similar staffing needs. It’s pretty small scale, we have about 20 events that need 2-4 volunteer staff at each. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I’m working on a directory that has a Categories column set to the Multiple Select field type. I’ve cleaned up a good number of mistyped entries in this column, which created a lot of unused categories. Whenever I filter by a category, I see all of the unused data in the list. Is there any way I can remove all unused data?
