Hello, I am trying to automate Airtable with JIRA using microsoft Flow. At my company we have restrictions that imposes that I use the Microsoft Solution. I would like to create a JIRA ticket every time I created a record in my Airtable Table. In microsoft flow I need a trigger to start the flow. Can someone know how to get the airtable trigger for when a new record is created? Thank you

So I have makerspace with 100+ members. Thanks to airtable, we have a status if they're active or inactive (current members vs members who quit). Many of us make files that we share with the membership for lasercut SVGs, or 3D print files.  Within our airtable database we know their status, name, wiki account and wiki password. By wiki, we have a dokuwiki site that members have sign-in capability to. If they quit, we can turn that off.  So we can control if they can see the url to download, but this doesn't mean that they can't be sent the url by a friend to download, or have a saved list of links before they quit.So I'm thinking that legit members can use a form link to request a file, then we write an automation that gets the file and emails it to them.  Also, to complicate matters a little further, I'm thinking about storing the files on a google drive or dropbox to avoid attachment size limits on our airtable team account, but I am thinking this can be hand

Hello, I am trying to use the “Update Google Doc” automation but I do not understand how to fill the “Content” section with the “Select field” option. I have created a google doc template with fields using the google add-on “Fillable Document”, but when I click on “select field” option in the Airtable automation, I do not see any field to select. Does anyone know how I have to set up my google doc template so that Airtble identifies fields from this file? Thank you Pascal

HiCertain users in my organization are using an interface to submit work order requisitions and getting a random and sporadic message on some requisitions mid-way through the submission, but not all users and not all the time. The message reads "Project Hidden, The project might have been edited, or your permissions changed." Any ideas what may be causing this or anyone else seen this message before? 

So I have a single Attachments field in a table that allows for multiple individual files to be attached to a record. I want to create another field that counts the number of files that have been uploaded/attached to that record. I then want to them pull this number into the primary field of the table to provide a quick way to see how many files have been attached to the record (e.g., 5 videos, 11 screenshots). However, the built-in ‘count’ formulas seem to be only counting the occurrence of an attachment for the record, not the number of individual files within the record; so as a result, it is only showing things as having 1 or 0 attachments, even though there are multiple individual files that have been attached to that record within the Attachments field. I came across an old thread about counting attachments (for some reason it’s preventing me from including the link here) but it seems outdated given the formulas now available, plus I could not get the formula to work at

Hi, I’m looking to use the interface designer or any other airtable solution to filter records with shared users in an easy way. Similar filtering to an e-commerce store like Best Buy. So someone could choose pull-downs from linked records to say they want a 1. “laptop”, 2. “white color” and the page would show all records that meet those criteria. I know this can all be done within an airtable base but I’m looking to simplify it for less tech-savvy users. Thanks, Jordan

I’ve attempted to follow the recommendations here to detect duplicates in a field but have not been successful and could use some expert eyes on what I’ve implemented. I did put a reply on that thread but since it’s a couple of years old, figured I should start my own question. Here are 2 screenshots from the 2 tables in play. Anyone see where I went wrong? TIA!

Before signing up, I’d like to know a couple things about Forms and Interfaces. For my use case, Forms will most likely be the most common data entry means. Interfaces will be the most common way my users will edit a record’s data. Can my users not go straight into the “Open form” view of a form from the main tables tab? I don’t want them to have to click the “Open form” button to use the form (and I certainly don’t want them to be able to edit a form’s layout, etc.) How about an Interface? Is there no way to launch an Interface from a table screen? Like, why isn’t there an entry in the sidebar like there is for all the other views for that table? Thanks!

Hello, I've got a Base where each record is a person. I'm trying to create an automation that will share that record as a URL with each person (using their email address in one of the Fields), but not ALL the Fields in the record. I know I could manually create and send Shared Views that had the Fields I wanted, but this is hundreds of people, so I can't do it manually and I'm looking for a way to automate it.

How can I have an automation (or formula) return only the first record in a manually sorted table or view? I have clients submitting tasks and manually sorting the tasks according to the order in which they would like them completed, and we only work on one task at a time. I'm trying to build an automation that changes the status of the next task ("next" is determined by the manual sort field) to "in progress" when there are no longer any tasks for that client in progress. How can I do this without creating views for every client? 

Hi, community! I need some help with this. I'm setting up a bank reconciliation in Airtable and need a column to record all the transactions from my bank account. Additionally, I'd like another column that shows the running balance for each transaction, reflecting the total income and expenses up to that point. I'm not looking for a single overall balance, but rather a balance that updates with each individual transaction.

I've created a table where I have a multiselect field, and then grouped the data by that field.The effect in my table is that each unique combination of selected fields from the multiselect column has it's own group. So for example, if one record has "A" in that field, and another has "A" and "B", I have one group that JUST has the record with "A", and separate group for the records that have ONLY BOTH "A" and "B" (so the first record with ONLY "A" is not included in that group).I know some people don't like this but I actually want it this way - and what's frustrating is that now when I'm creating a List Interface, it works the opposite! So my list of records is grouped in the interface by that same multiselect field, but now the records are duplicated across groups.So, the record with only "A" is showing up in the group that is labeled "A" only, AND in the group that is labeled for both "A" and "B".Is there a setting I'm missing to get the list vie

I created a very mobile-friendly app using AirTable, had participants download the AirTable mobile app, and attempted to showcase the mobile interface with about 80 participants in a room. Participants complained of seeing completely blank screens or only partial amounts of data showing up.Is the Teams Edition insufficient for this use case, and do I need the business or enterprise version to handle this type of traffic? *P.S. The wifi was not the issue. 

So I’m a real estate agent and I use Airtable to keep track of all my deals. I have one block for rentals. In rentals it’s very common for a prospective tenant to want to see all my current active listings. I typically have 40-60+ rentals at any given time, some times more. Right now, when people ask for my list, I ask for their search parameters, go through the entire list myself, then respond back with a few listings. The problem is I have 25-75 people reaching out a day and 40-60 listings, plus an entire buy/sell side of the business. It’s becoming impossibly time consuming. So when I heard about the ability to create a shareable link to my up-to-date database, I got really excited. Especially when I realized I could hide fields that are for internal use only and I do not want prospects to see. I’m currently selling my airtable base as a product. How to do that? Is there a way to create a user base that will be able to view the database? Collaborators would work best, but I don’t want them to see my changes and emails of other collaborators

I have been getting this very annoying bug where when I start editing on any interface page, the logo and header images on all of the overview pages across all of the interfaces in that base are automatically removed. Nearly every time I publish after making changes to one interface page, I have to reupload headers and logos to all overview pages. I hope developers can fix this soon!

Hi guys, I current have a button that opens a url that is a Make Web Hook, I was wondering is there anyway for the same button to also update the record.My plan is to open url to send email in sengrid, aswell as update status from Open > Sent. Has anyone done this before? I am testing a simple base approach which has three tables: Clients, Contacts and Jobs.The clients table has linked records to contacts to denote all the contacts that we work with at that client. And linked records to jobs to denote all the jobs we are working on with that client. A client can have multiple linked contacts and multiple jobs, but contacts and jobs can only be linked to one client.When I'm creating a new job record, I'd like to select the specific contact at the client who represents the lead contact for that particular project.I realise this can be achieved by a simple linked record field to the contacts table. However, when selecting from the contacts table, this shows all contacts regardless of which client they are at. Which theoretically means it would be possible to assign a contact from a different client than the job is for.What I was hoping was that there was a way to filter or add conditions to the linked record options so that w

I have Airtable views embedded on a google site page, and when you open a record detail you can see the attachment thumbnails in the attachments field, but then when you click on one of the attachments to view full-size, there is an error message "this page is blocked by browser". I'm building a project management platform. In my current configuration, there is a table for Projects, and another for Tasks. When a Project is created, an automation runs to add corresponding Tasks. The Project table has a "Status" field, with options for In Progress, On Hold, Canceled, and Done.When a Project status is changed from In Progress to On Hold, I added an automation that also changes the status of the underlying Tasks to On Hold (so the individuals to whom those tasks are assigned now to pause work on them).But how would I create an automation to switch that Task status back to In Progress if the parent Project status is changed back?If I set the trigger to be "when record in Project matches conditions (status = In Progress), it's going to update a lot of tasks that should be updated.Is there a scripting solution for "if a project was On Hold and now is In Progress, change all underlying Tasks statuses that were On Ho

Hello,I have a base that has many tables that are synced via emailed CSVs. One table was initially set up with multiple emailed files where they were ingested as updates to the table, which resulted in the ~100,000 records needed. for initial setup.Since then, updates are sent through each night with updates (which are much smaller record counts). Some of the records that are updated causes them to fall "out of scope", meaning they aren't needed in the table anymore. I'm aware of the ability to delete records, one by one, that are not in the source data (current emailed CSV), however since the emailed CSVs are a much smaller subset, and at this point there are MANY "out of scope" records, it would result in searching through a list of over 100,000 records, for each record that needs to be deleted.Now, to my question - is there any way to mass delete records, given the circumstances described above?
