How can i auto-fill a linked field?i have 2 linked tables in Airtable: CONTENT and CONTENT TYPESIn the table CONTENT i have two linked fields CONTENT TYPE and WORKFLOW In CONTENT TYPES i have the two "originals" of CONTENT TYPE and WORKFLOW If i select in the CONTENT table the linked value CONTENT TYPE and this CONTENT TYPE has a DEFAULT WORKFLOW (i.e. cell is not empty) then the WORKFLOW field in CONTENT table should auto-populate with the DEFAULT WORKFLOW value.Basically only if there is a default workflow (cell not empty) of the Workflow column in the content type table, then this value should be auto-filled on a linked field in the CONTENT table. Hope this makes sense? I know this can be done with an automation inside airtable. but how?

Hello! I have a rollup column that looks fine in the original base, but when synced to another base some of the cells seems to add extra information.For example, in the original base, a cell in the column will say "Person A, Person B"In the synced base though, the same cell will say " , Person A, Person B" instead, as if there's a blank record ahead of the rest of the list.This doesn't affect all cells in the column, just some. Would someone know how to make the column behave correctly in the synced base?

Hi,I cant for the life of me find a formula to I have 3 date columns in each record, only one of these will be populated per record, i want to create an additional single column which would auto populate with the date from either of these 3 fields so i can format it to a week number (and YY of possible).Is this possible to do and if so can anyone help with the formulae for this please?Thank you so much, Sarah 🙂

Hello everyone! I'm a new member in the airtable community and wanted help on my airtable problems. I currently have a base table that receives emails, the problem currently is that it saves the whole email chain instead of just the email itself. I wanted to ask if there's a way (scripting/formula) to automatically remove  lines of texts after the word "From:" for every new entry that comes in.  Thank you!

Hi, I'm really new to Airtable. I was wondering if there was a way to add a button to make fields editable for the Record Detail template. Basically, I want to be able to edit and update the current record on the Record Detail.

I have a table and each record includes a name, address, email address, phone number, and relationship. The relationship field is single select, and it consists of parent, student, donor, alum, and staff. I want to generate a report that gathers all of the records that are students and creates a report of each student's name and email address. How can I do this?

Can someone please help - I’m not sure if a formula, rollup, lookup or another option is best for this scenario. In order to job cost correctly, I do not need the duplicates of the payment amount, as it will show more was paid. I see a way around this by adjusting the amount due, however, with multiple people entering data, and checks being cut differently, based on 3rd party financing department details of payment are not known until the check is cut, typically 30-days after the invoice is received. When a contractor submits an invoice and it is paid as a partial payment - I am currently entering the information twice to keep up with the accounting end, however, as you can see from the example below it looks as if there is still a balance due, when in fact the invoice is closed out with no balance. I use Airtable for my accounting program. My goal with this post is to discover how I can allocate specific and different values from one payment record to multiple linked invoice records. The intent is to provide an unpaid/open balance which is simply the invoice value less the APPLIED payment. Currently, I have only two tables set up for this base. I am wondering if having a third linked table to address the application of different amounts going from one payment record to multiple invoice records will solve my problem. Background: In my base, I have two linked tables. The Invoice table consists of invoice records. (In the Invoice table, one record = one invoice). Hi,I'm really wrestling with finding a solution here and I am sure I am not the only one who has the issue.  I have 2 tables in Airtable:1) Skills Table - fields include SkillId, Name, Description, Link to Skill Definition table via DefinitionId2) Skill Definition Table - fields include DefinitionId, Definition, Level (Level is either Beginner, Intermediate or Expert)When I call the API and GET a skill from the Skill Table I would like the Skill Definition to nest as an object in the response.  I noticed this behavior is possible with the Collaborator type, shown below for the Assigned fieldAt the moment when I link the Skills Definition table to the Skills table and add lookup columns from the Skills Definition table, then call the API from Postman, the fields are shown in a flat structure as an arrayIs there any way I can nest this object linked by the Definition Id like the Collaborator type?Thanks in advance.     

I have two bases and two tables.  Base 2 Table 2 table has initiative name , objectives, key results, earliest date (based on all projects in base 1 table 1) and latest data (based on all projects in base1 table 1)  and list of all program that have the initiatives.  Base 1 Table 1 contains program name, program description, type, priority, start date and release date, status, initiative name.  Base 2 Table 2 is synced to Base 1 table 1 so I can have the product manager can select the appropriate initiative in their program. In base 2 table 2,  I want a field to automatically add projects that have the initiative specified..  Right now, base 1 table 2 (which is synced copy of the initiatives) has the correct project names listed. However in base 2 table 2 the field of the project's name are blank. I am not sure why.

I am trying to create a script using curl which basically would download the image from the url embedded within the field of the JSON I downloaded with the API. curl is supposed to use the whole value of the key `url`(https://v5.airtableusercontent.com/v3/u/29/29/1716998400000/APymLz9oGAW4AZ1vM_9z3w/53CMUJ...) + the value of the `filename` (SKM_36722071214070ff.pdf) and then the desired output name of the file. It would be the same that browsing the url + filename, but when passing just the url to the browser it displays the attachments as the are in the Airtable field, but if I add url + filename in the form url/filename it doesn't displays the file. Is there any other approach that I can download all images attached to my airtable fields programatically, including pdf files, png images, and so on?

I am creating an automation that sends a reminder email if a task is not complete within a certain date. That being said, some users have multiple tasks to complete and receive an individual email for each record they’re attached to. Is there a way I can have a reminder email sent with multiple records condensed into one message so the owner does not receive multiple emails?

Does Airtable support sandbox instances? So for example if I need to develop and test before moving those changes to production, is there a way to do that? What Airtable capabilities allow this? If not, what have people used as a workaround? 

I'm having a problem getting my airtable to properly work with a dynamic page created on our website. There is an embedded form within the dynamic page, and the HTML for this is linked to a record within the aritable "Form HTML".I have been able to get this to work with the simple form html. What I am now trying to do is add on extra criteria within the HTML so that a section of the form is pre populated when loading certain pages. As soon as I add the extra code in it results in problems. I either get that the page cannot be found, or it will say this for about 10 minutes and then magically load, but it will only load on a desktop and not a mobile. I need to re-establish a formula all ready created for our Content Title field?  I changed this to a Single line text and it changed the whole field, how do I change it back?

We have a paid Teams license - just a few seats for the development team.Am I right in thinking that if we share an Interface by email as readonly, then that doesn't require a paid license for that user?We were going to use Softr as the front end, but it looks like Interfaces gives us better functionality.

I'm hoping there's a way to do what I'm trying to accomplish, even if it's not the way I'm thinking...First, a little context:We teach different types of classes (at least 😎 and have a list of students we contact to offer classes and enrollments. Some students may take only one class, some may take 3 or more.What we have doneWe want to be able to store our students' information, assign them to the groups they are interested in (for example, if they are interested in class A, B, and D), and perform the registration process(es) for each of them.To do this, I created 2 tables: one for the classes and all the information related to them (price, dates, location, etc.), and one for the students, where I store the students' information and track their stage as a lead (if they are new, if they need to be contacted to understand more about their interests, etc.). I need to create a base that will allow a user to add a new item (a change in operations, ie: we now date all produce boxes upon arrival, or Host to open all doors for guests arriving and leaving)then each item is assign to a department (Kitchen, Host, etc)Then each team member is to sign off on new process I can create the first part, however, how do I build the base to allow for staff to initial/sign any changes for their assigned departments? Question on best practice. As an automation consultant, I'm building a CRM for my client which will integrate with Typeform, Make etc.Eventually I'd like to transfer ownership to the client while keeping enough access for any maintenance, but I am foreshadowing changes to credentials/access tokens etc resulting in broken links on integrated apps.How does everyone else do it with the least amount of moving pieces in the transfer? Do you start a new workspace and get the client to sign up for a paid Airtable account?

Hi - I am trying to do a daily balance and bills owed table and am wanting to match expected income so that the dates match. Ideally it would also have a daily exchange rate. I am just not sure how to match and roll-up based on varrying criteria without needing a new column for each date. How do I do this? Do I need a third table?

Hi, I have a large table with many columns. But some columns are empty whilst some are full and this differs from a row to row. Is there a way to view single row that it would show only those fields which have some value in it and do not show empty fields? As to have a simpler view of the information. Thanks for suggestions!
