Hi Everyone, I’m working on a TV series, and looking for some online database solution for a really easy(-looking) task: I have to follow the realationships between the characters of the TV show during the script writing (friends/enemies/…etc - it can also be a simple list). So it means I make a list with the names of the characters I guess, and then I need to duplicate this list and somehow make a third list that contains the connections between them (it’s like a two dimensional graph). And then the second question: if the database is finished, how can I easily make the entries (we are talking about hundreds of character names). For example, I have two names in the list: “Joe” and “Bob”. I want to change their relationship into “friends”. I guess I will need some kind of combined searching form that looks for the two names and make me able the change the third data between them. Do you think I can do this in Airtable? Hi everyone, would you please tell me how to convert a multiple date string field (i.e., 2/11/2024, 3/3/2024, 2/19/2024, 2/25/2024) to the correct format date field that reflects all the dates in the string field? Please note that the string field mentioned contains the date values based on a lookup function from its source field or table. Hi there, Brand new to Airtable and have been messing around with it to see if it fits our needs. I’ve been impressed! One question I have yet to find the answer for is… Is there a way to process a submission fee payment as part of forms created through Airtable? As an organization, we collect a small application fee. While I assumed that Airtable’s integration with Stripe/Paypal would make this easy, I have yet to find a way to do so? Any help or potential workarounds would be appreciated.

I'm trying to build an IF Formula that seems like it would be straight-forwarded, but is proving to be more complicated than I thought it would be and has got me stumped. Both fields are Lookup fields getting a Rollup value from another table. I started with a basic IF formula, but the problem is it resulted in X $0 values being replaced by the Y value, when I wanted the $0 X value to be returned.IF(X,X,Y) Then I tried to a formula to say if X is equal to or greater than 0, and that worked, but it would not return Y if the X Column was blank. IF(X >=0,X,Y) So, I tried an IF / Or Formula. I have a fairly niche-type issue that I've not been able to figure out; for context, I've created a check in base optimized for a team of supervisors to check in/out staff using the Airtable mobile app. I have 2 tables linked together, where one represents 1 record for every shift (named "All Shifts"), which is linked to a table (named "BA Data") that houses the staff info of whoever is scheduled for a shift. I would like for my Supervisors to be able to open the linked record (aka "BA Data") while looking at the "All Shifts" table and be able to modify a "Current Location" field and a "Lead Notes" field (both are housed in the "BA Data" table). The navigation to do so seems to work just fine, but when a user opens the linked record from the mobile app, it appears that the Sort is defaulted to newest to oldest fields, in the order they've been modified; I know this because when I converted the oldest field to "Current Location" in order to bump it up to the t

Hi all, I'm working on a donor management system for a non-profit org.  Donors make pledges to give $x on x recurring basis, usually something like $50 a month.I've got a table for Donors, one for pledges, and one for donations.I need to have a way to check whether pledges are being fulfilled by donors.  So if John Smith pledged $50 a month, has he actually sent $50 a month?But how do you search for what's NOT there???  I am stumped on how to approach this one!Any thoughts???

I have a table where different group clients submit weekly weights on a form.I'm calculating "starting weight - weekly weight = X". With each submission, I send them an automated email that records what their weight loss is, BUT even though their weekly weight loss differs, I want to only send them the max weight they've lost of all the weeks submitted.e.g. starting weight - 200lbsweek 1 submission = 194 (6lbs lost)week 2 submission = 196 (4lbs lost)week 3 submission = 197 (3lbs lost)So their record will continue to pull only the "194 (6lbs lost)" until a higher weight loss is submitted. How do I do that? The rollup fields are not working for me - or am I missing something! The current rollup field is reflecting all 0 but there are no zero entries.

Hi everyone,I'm new to Airtable and I'm trying to automate the process of updating fields in a primary table based on records filled out in a secondary table. Both tables share the same ID for each record. The primary table serves as my master record, while the secondary table contains five fields that will be completed via a form. I'm pre-populating the ID in the form to ensure consistency across tables. However, I'm struggling to find a way to automatically reflect the updates from the secondary table in the master record table as soon as a new record is created. I feel like there should be a simple solution, but I haven't managed to figure it out yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all, I have DB on airtable and softr is processing the data and displaying as needed. My next step is to push the displayed images to Pinterest, but when I try to add the URL of the product page from Soft to Pinterest I'm getting this errorURL: https://shop.engroovers.com/tribesigns-products?recordId=recr9Wkxlqh0kM7H9"No images found. When an interface button is used to trigger an automation, does it leave any kind of trail in terms of date clicked?I am making an interface for a staff member to generate a draft contract, but she needs to do it only once. Since the button is so easy to click, I am afraid of it being generated multiple times. I thought I could somehow put a field showing below it of the date the automation ran. Thanks!

I have a payroll base that tracks timesheets and commissionable transactions for our employees. It includes the following linked tables:EmployeesTimesheetsThe Employees table includes information for name, address, email, etc. Additionally, there is a Straight Time (ST) Hourly Rate field. We have thousands of records in the Timesheets table from daily entries submitted by employees. The submissions simply consist of:Employee NameStart Date/TimeEnd Date/TimeFormula fields calculate the number of hours worked. To calculate ST Gross Pay, a lookup field displays the ST Hourly Rate from the Employees table. That is multiplied by the number of hours worked.We recently decided to give an employee a raise in his ST Hourly Rate. My client has a team of several Creators and one Owner. They want to make an Interface that is only viewable to the Owner. When I create a new Interface and choose not to share with users (I click "Not Now" on the dialogue box shown below), then I go to Manage Permissions, it shows that all Creators have permissions to the new Interface. I can't figure out a way to remove access to Interfaces for Creators. Is this even possible? Or do they need to be downgraded to have permissions set for them?

Our customer fills out the Form, and the countdown stars when the Form is submitted. So the first field is "Form date" DATETIME_FORMAT(CREATED_TIME(), 'D. M. YYYY')The second field is "Days" DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Form date}, 'days') And the third field is "Countdown"45-{Days} This works fine, but the problem is, that when the status is "sent" or "refund" the countdown don't stop. So the point is, that I want to know how long one case was open. I can also use just one status, let's say "complete" but now I stumble upon one problem.I don't have a specific date field for the end of the case (it depends on the case - some wants refund, some wants exchange or repair). Generally, I've been very happy with Airtable's documentation and what's available in the community.  Not so much with this issue.  I see posts ALL OVER the community about people needing to query a table or view and filter their results (like a typical WHERE clause in SQL).  This is one of the most common questions/issues I see, and yet the support from Airtable staff on providing very clear example code for accomplishing this is between abysmal to non-existent.  I'm no genius, but I'm fairly bright.  Trying to figure out the exact syntax for accomplishing this from the info available is way to difficult!  Come on, Airtable!  Help us out!I'd like to see a new section that supplies plenty of specific script code samples for the most common query filtering, such as...1) A basic string field "where FIELD = 'Some value'"2) When multiple fields need to be included . I have been testing Process St for documenting my tasks/processes to delegate to others. It is a great tool that lets me create the steps on a left navigation and then add text/images and videos to each step. I was curious if there might be a way I could do this in Airtable. I am stuck because I can’t include text and pictures or videos on the same field. Here is an example one I did using Process St. app.process.st

Due to the deprecation of the API keys, you won't be able to connect your Airtable with your Typeform. Since personal access tokens don't work you are not able to advance. Typeform will repeatedly ask you for your API key which you can't create anymore.How can this be resolved? Hope someone can help, thanks.
