Today there was an update called Refreshed linked record picker in Interfaces which makes the record picker for linked fields more compact and consistent.  I like the idea, but it breaks some important things in our workflow.Namely, it does not show images, and it truncates the record names.Here you can see a snippet of an interface which shows a linked field.  There are a few records already linked (circled in green) with image thumbnails appearing on the right side of the card (red arrow).  Clicking the "Add group" button opens the new record picker (circled in blue) which severely truncates the record name and does not show image thumbnails.  

I'd like to send an email to a user when a Linked field is updated, but ONLY send the new updates, not the entire contents of the field.I'm working on a job board. I want to email the organization that posted the job every time a new applicant applies to their posting.I have two Tables – Users and Job Postings. The two fields are linked so that each Job record shows the Users that have applied to the job, and each User record shows the Jobs they have applied to.It seems like I can only email the ENTIRE "Users" field to the job poster through the automations creator. Ideally, I would send a daily email to the job poster with only the NEW profiles that have applied to the job.Any help here is appreciated!

Hi,I have a currency column that is being auto-calculated, and the way Airtable is summing the numbers is sometimes incorrect - off by a few cents.I suspect this is because the auto-calucations sometimes come from .00 or .000 fractional ownership of certain goods, so when Airtable sums a bunch of those at once it's somehow dropping or carrying over fractions of cents...If I copy and paste the whole list of numbers in Excel, for instance, it gives me the correct total. So I'm searching for a way to somehow convert the auto-calculated field to a plain number field which will hopefully only give me the sum of the numbers as they are.Any suggestions for how to to this? Thanks!

I have failed at several attempts to create a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) in Airtable. I am looking to have Various Processes that an employee can choose from to create a series of tasks to complete based on that chosen SOP. I have searched in the templates and it doesn’t look like this has been done before. Any ideas how I could structure this? I would also like the ability to add and alter SOPs once they are created. I envision a main table with each employee and a list of the SOP’s they are in the process of and the tasks they need to do.

So I am having an issue with Airtable on MAC. When I am in any base and on the first table the button to add another table is constantly flickering. (see Link for a video, not my video but same issue),https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/text-in-header-blinking-flashing-bug/td-p/132478The weird thing is it isn't happening across all my devices. So I have a Mac Studio and on Safari, this is where I am having the issue, But on the MacBook Air and Safari I am not having this issue. Both devices are on Apple Silicon. Is there anything I can do to fix this? 

I find that the pricing page shows that the free plan can have unlimited bases. Detailed plan comparison table on the pricing page shows that free plan can have only 1 workspace. Also I find in this page Airtable Plans - Summary & Overview | Airtable Support page that each workspace can have only 500 bases. So as per that the free plan can have only 500 bases. So what is correct - 500 bases or unlimited bases?. 

I have two tables: "Billing" and "Activities". I'm trying to find a way to combine this data so that I can see $ received from bills while only including "TimeEntry's". In this specific scenario, the amount I would need to see is $530, since the $100 is an ExpenseEntry.It is way too time consuming to manually count the hundreds of records, so I need a formula or an easier way to compute this. I am a historian, constructing a historical database (1940s-60s). When I click on my linked record for a person or institution, some of which will have to link to 1000+ records, I notice that the records are almost arranged in date order - but not quite. As I scroll down, I will notice up to 20 or 30 records running from earlier to later, as I would like, then a record from a decade earlier will appear next, followed by another run of (successful) earlier-later sequencing, though often for yet another subset of years. Naturally, I would like the entire contents of a linked record to run from earlier to later. I cannot see what other sort criterion the linked record might be using. It certainly isn’t the random 6-digit number I’ve created for each record ID. What is odd is how the linked record is almost in date order.

Is there any mechanism which can be used to allow only some records within a list view to be editable? I would like my team to be able to edit records until they are marked as complete, after which editing should no longer be allowed. I'd also like to be able to show the completed records in the same view, so work arounds such as using different views (which is what we are doing currently) make our workflow less easy to follow.

Hello Airtablers, My base is a list of leads with linked tables of their respective organizations and locations. I am evaluating a new sales tool called Apollo and I’m trying to configure their API into my base so I can pull the contacts and organizations. I understand the basic logic here, but my experience using APIs like this is minimal. Can anyone shed some light on how I can go about linking Airtable and Apollo? I have a base for which I wanted to create a daily email automation. - Trigger - every 1 day at 8am- Action (find records that have tasks (a field) with a status of TO DO. - Action (send an email)It looks like in the email that I am able to do attachments and either use data from the trigger (at a scheduled time) or action (find records). But when I click on Find Records....it will not let me choose anything...I either see invalid choice for input, cannot assign list of string to collection of complex types. It will not let me attach they actual data! Any help is appreciated. 

Is it possible to make a search box appear also in the “grid view” on mobile (as happens in the desktop version)?

Hi All, A search of the community yielded the same question but no definite answer. I have created a view on Airtable, shared it so users can search and find info that they need. Problem - filtering, grouping, and search work only on desktop or laptop browsers. None of those options are available on mobile devices. Is there a workaround or some way to get at least the filter and search to work on a mobile device? Thanks in advance. Regards, usha

Hi all -I am working to update an Airtable table using responses to a Qualtrics survey via Zapier. I have many multiple choice questions, some up to 17 options, and the column these feed to in Airtable is itself a multiselect field column (so I want each item to show up separately). At first, I had the issue that when I listed all multiple choice fields from qualtrics one next to the other, it put it in as one giant option, as shown in the right of the attached Airtable screenshot (early stage growth stage as one item). I resolved this partially by putting commas between the fields, as shown in the zapier screenshot. That turned into the left example in airtable - now they are separate items, but if an item is not selected, it still includes a blank entry. Is there a trick to resolve this? Open to all ideas - thank you!

I'm not certain if the OAuth flow is working as expected...When initiating an OAuth flow for an existing, and currently logged-in user, the OAuth pattern works as expected. After the OAuth consent screen is displayed, flow correctly redirects the user to the redirect_uri.However, if a user is NOT logged in, the flow works to the point of providing an Airtable login screen for the user and then drops them into their admin page WITHOUT a OAuth consent screen. I would have presumed that for users who have not logged in, Airtable would allow them to login and then proceed to the OAuth consent process. As it stands now, users are dropped into Airtable without ever redirecting back to the calling site leaving users stranded. And assistance on this would be appreciated.

Hi there, we’re looking for an alternative solution to Jotform. We are wildlife rangers working in African National Parks. We use a Jotform to complete our ‘Daily Station Report’ which includes daily roll call and station statistics. We use ruggedised iPads, we open the form online, go offline to do roll call, and then go online to sync the form (I believe airtable can do same).Our challenge is the insanely convoluted and over complex back end. It takes an entire (frustrating) day every time we want to add a name to the roll call, because of the calculations which add up how many staff present, away, sick etc.We have 64 staff at this park in Zimbabwe, and the Staff Sgt has to read them out and tick the right box (present, away etc). So he can’t write in the name each day, or he’ll standing in front of the rangers for hours! We need a SIMPLE front end (see iCloud link to screenshot of current Jotform) to this, and the ability to EASILY make changes when need

Hi, So for the purposes of this problem, say i have 4 tables: Customer table: a list of all customers. New Leads: a list of all leads. Orders: a list of all orders currently being executed. Disputes: a list of all disputes. All records in new leads/orders/disputes have a record from the customer table as a linked record. We have over 100 customers. For our meetings, what we’d like to do is have a dashboard of sorts where we can select any particular customer, and get the new leads, orders & disputes to all appear on one page. Afaik, i can’t see any easy way to do this in airtable. Is there any block or any way that could help me create this? Thanks zeta

Is there a way to track viewership, clicks, or engagement in general for an interface? I'm currently using Interfaces for a Project Status Update site, and it would be quite interesting to see how users are engaging with its content. I'd love to see a heatmap of sorts as to what pages or content is being viewed most, or where the drop-off is to inform if what I've created is providing value. I could otherwise solicit written or vebal feedback through an Airtable form, but figured data would be another compelling way to gain that feedback. 

I make extensive use of the hierarchical list function, but there is one thing I can't work out how to do. I've made a minimal example here: I have three tables, projects, groups and records. Projects can have several groups, and groups contain several records. I would like to be able to filter the view based on which project a group is assigned to. I can add a lookup field inside the record (which is what is shown in my screenshot filtering for project Bob), but I would like to have groups A, B and C hidden in this view, because they are on project Alice. I can't use the 'hide sections with no additional rows' option, because I would like my users to be able to add new records to group F, which is a member of project Bob but empty. Are there any features which would allow me to achieve this goal?

When trying to read or write data to and from a long text field via the API, I am loosing the newlines.This is an example of what I have in the field:When reading the content through the API, I am getting this:Also, when writing \n to the field via the API it get's stored literally, i.e., is not translated into linebreaks:I cannot find any hint how to encode newlines in the API docs or the forum.Any help would be highly appreciated.  

Hi all,We have a marketing calendar table which links a CAMPAIGN to individual DISCOUNT records in another table. Each CAMPAIGN has 4 or 5 DISCOUNTS in successive panels, and so we have 5 linked records from each CAMPAIGN to the DISCOUNT table, labeled Panel 1 - Panel 5. I would like to have ideally one field in the DISCOUNT table corresponding to the date of the associated CAMPAIGN, but I can't figure out how to aggregate the multiple PANEL fields into one single lookup. Is this possible?I've tried Concatenate & run into issues with datetime format, as well as issues concatenating empty records).
