I'm currently working on a project where I've implemented a referral code system in Airtable, and I could use some guidance on handling potential duplicates.Here's a brief overview of the situation: I generate referral codes in the format "Four letters of firstname, -D, and last 2 digits of the phone number." For instance, if I have a user named Johnathan with the phone number ending in 19, the referral code would be JOHN-D19. If i have another user named John with the phone number ending in 19, the referral code would also be JOHN-D19. Now, the challenge I'm facing is that I want to avoid assigning the same referral code to different individuals. To achieve this, I'm looking for a solution to identify and handle duplicates. Here's the logic I'm aiming for:Identify Duplicate Referral Codes:If the referral code is duplicated, proceed to the next step.

Hi All,im trying to create a button in an interface, of which the interface has a project record picker, that will trigger an automation, to find records in another table.the project picker is set to a particular table called PROJECTS.the button is set to find records in a table called PAYMENTSwhen creating the button and setting up the automation, the conditions of the FIND RECORDS option can set up all the requirements but won’t limit to the particular project that the Record Picker has selected. In fact it won’t let me have any condition relating to the PROJECT. When I test, it picks all records not limited to the PROJECT. Is there any way to let the RECORD PICKER limit the button automation selection… eg.Record Picker: set to PROJECT number ‘100’. Some photos I upload into a table appear sideways both in the table view and expanded cell view, even though the photos themselves are upright in the upload window. I tried to rotate them 90% so they appear sideways in the upload screen, but then they rotate 180% to still appear sideways in the table facing the other way. Help?

I uploaded a bunch of portrait character wardrobe photos but they all flipped landscape. Sucks, but I can’t even figure out how to flip them one by one once in - or even how to reload and ensure it doesn’t happen again. This is the first time this has ever happened - it’s never happened on headshots or location photos. Is there a setting I need to set in the table? Or can I rotate or edit a photo once uploaded? I know Airtable is more of a storage device, not photo editing - but this is not the way I uploaded them originally. Thank you!

I would like to build a library of follow up emails that are stored in a table that will go out to customers at different times depending on where they are in the sales process.  I would like to personalize the emails and provide some other specific information specific to their account.   I envision it as it being kind of a form letter with variables situation For exampleDear {Customer First Name}We have you scheduled for service on {Service Date} arriving between {Start Time} and {End Time}.We look forward to seeing you{Sales person name}There will be 5-10 different emails so I would like for these to be stored in a table that can be easily changed or added to and can be run through a single automation.   I would appreciate any thoughts on how this could possibly be accomplished.  I"m open to using formulas, automations, scripts..  Thanks in advance!

Hello Community.. I hope all is wellI built an Agenda database that has recurring events such as "Daily Lunch Time" and "Weekly Team Meetings" etc.. Keep in mind that new Agenda items with new frequencies keep adding up. Setting a recurrence automation is possible, as a new record of the same Agenda item gets created every time the item is marked done. But what if I need to see the items for the whole year from now, without waiting for the items to get done, and without having the automation run endlessly? I have been looking at a formula or automation for recurring events with different frequencies while having an stop date for the recurrence. would truly appreciate your support if anyone knows a perfect hack for it without the requirement to write a coding script (as I am not experienced in that) neither I hope my question is clear. Hi everyone,I need some help to build some automations please.I would like to modify status after specific period.For example, when a new record is create, the field "creation date" fill be filled.for records below 3 days I want to automatically change the status to "Less than 3 days"for records between 3 days and 5 days I want the status "3 to 5 days"records between 5 days and 10 days, status "5 to 10 days"and below 10 days will have no status. I already tried to make automations with "on this date or later" and "on this date and earlier" but it's not working properly.Thanks for your help and merry christmas!

Is it possible to get AirTable to generate X number of records in a table? Example: Table: Batch Col: Date Col: Batch Number Col: # of Units Produced Table: Units Col: Batch Number Col: Serial Number I’d like to create a record in Batch table, and if I say 10 units were produced in that batch, then automatically 10 NEW records appear in Units table (all of them linked to their batch in the Batch table) and all of them assigned automatically a sequential number (starting number would be MAX of whatever serial number is already in tab from PREVIOUS batch). I can’t even begin to wrap my head around this one. So, the two main issues would be automatically creating X records based on the event of another table AND auto generation of serial numbers starting off at the last serious number of previous batch. Is this impossible?

Hello, probably this topic was discussed here in several ways, but cant find final solution for us. We need to make payment list and as some of the payments are made every month, once click on checkbox, that was that particular row in table payed, it will automatically make copy of the row to next month. Any idea how to do this please? Thank you!

Hello, I have an issue in my company where different departments are sending incorrect clarifications to my department. Now, I want to create a form using Airtable where colleagues can describe their concerns. Once they submit the form, a clarification will be automatically sent to my department in Salesforce (with the correct values). Is this feasible?

I am very new to airtable and just learning. I am building a base for a company that delivers pet food (B2C). and each record in the base is a client with some specific info like (the date of the first scheduled delivery, the day of the week that deliveries should be made and also if he should have a delivery made every week, every 2 weeks etc. I would like to build a calendar in which I could look any given day and know all the clients I should be delivering that day. Any help helps  I am stuck in how to build the calendar part using the client's info, how to automatically set all the future delivery dates based on the client's info.

Hello, hope you are good!I've created an Interface view that i'd like to share to others without granting them the access to the entire base.Right now i just found this  I'm using the free plan, does it mean that the only way i can share my Interface to someone (maybe just by using a link) withouth giving them the access to the base, is with a Team subscription? I think i shared Interfaces in the past, or at least i'm quite sure Anyone faced the same problem?

Can someone help me figure out why the ‘else’ part of my IF statement isn’t working? I'm trying to create a friendly date/time/timezone field IF a certain date field is not blank. That part is working. But if the date field is blank, I want it to put “N/A” in the new field. That part is returning an error. The Problem I'm HavingThe below image will probably tell it best. I have a chart that appears to have duplicate x-asis labeling. Ideally, this data would have a single value per month, but it is duplicating upto 5 times for a given month. What I've DoneI suspect this may be a UI issue because when I scale my Chrome browser to 150x, I get a single x-axis value.This solution doesnt work for me because I have multiple stakeholders who view this data, and explaining to them to fine tune their monitor until theyu get their desired row count just wouldnt work. My QuestionBesides adjusting the zoom ratio of my screen, are there any other solutions you can suggest?

I've read a couple of posts where a solution was provided regarding inserting a logo into a gmail automation and I tried to follow it a few times, with zero success.It's not explained simply to a non-tech person, hence the back-and-forth correspondence between the 'solution provider' and others who were attempting to follow their process.Is there anyone who can explain this to a non-tech person? I have my 'Images' table with attachments field and attachment url field with formulaIF(Attachments, REGEX_EXTRACT(Attachments, "(?:[^(]*\\()([^)]*)")) I also have 1 tag structure and when I enter this into the gmail automation template, nothing comes up. The processseems simple and it's not working. What am I missing?  

I am looking for the best way to query a record from a table and to mark it as Assigned and avoid a different thread of the same automation from picking that row -- something like a select-for-update or distributed locking. In the example below, I don't want 2 simultaneous runs of the automation to pickup gtin3.From what I can find there is no native support for something like this. The best way I can think of is to read an unassigned record and in the next step of the automation to update it as assigned before doing other steps. And later revert it back if the subsequent steps runs into failures. Looking to learn how others might have worked around this.The automation is run in Make.com 

 I have created a base in airtable. I have a multiselect column called "Attendees". One of the options in this column is "Product". I am currently trying to create a calendar view in airtable that is specific to the Product team. To do so, I have created a filter that says "Where "Attendees" has any of "Product"". However the records that have Product tagged do not appear on the calendar. How do I get the records tagged with "Product" under the multiselect column "Attendees" to appear on the calendar? I do not have the option to choose "contains" when I set up the filter. 

Hi, is there a way to make the row height larger than the default using the mobile app? I have my row height set to x-large on Desktop so I can see the pictures that are attached to my rows; is there a way to adjust that setting on the iPhone app?

Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the multiple/single select fields.I've built a database for our team and we recently started using it. The only hiccup I encountered is with Multiple select fields: what I would like to have is a restriction for editors so that they would not be able to create new options within a multiple/single select field. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way of doing it, and as for now, all the editors are able to create new options. This leads to the creation of new options if someone, by mistake, presses enter after having typed a non-existing voice.Would you know how we can avoid that?Thank you very much in advance
