Hello Airtable Community.  I've reached my wits end and so has chatGPT 🙂  I am using the following scripting code in an Automation to extract some data from the record that triggered the automation and insert into an external API.  Most of it is working as expected until the very end of the first function where I keep getting   CONSOLE.ERROR "Error processing Airtable update:" "Unexpected end of JSON input"  I've tried lots of logs to understand the input and everything appears in order to me.  JSON is coming back fine in each of the "console.logs" indicated in the code here.  An example here:What could be causing this error?  Source code below:  // Function to escape HTML characters function escapeHtml(input) {

Airtable, Please consider adding tabs/pages to the Record review area. There are workflows were you do not want to be scrolling up and down. Tabs would allow “pages” for other fields, text descriptions, etc. This would be similar to using the Description app. Thanks, Jonathan

I am hoping someone can help answer this basic question.We have a survey where our athletes answer using a ranting system. I want to take the rating once in airtable and assign it a number value. 1 star = 1, 2 stars = 2, 3 stars = 3, 4 stars = 4, and 5 stars =5 so I can total.Is this an easy thing to do or do I need to get the data into a number before it hits airtable?

Hi everyone, I need to have a “Filter” column that is pulling date values from 3-4 different columns and selecting the one that is the most recent. So if we have 3/10/2021, 3/10/2022 and 3/10/2023, the date that populates the “Filter” column is 3/10/2023. It’s not always consistent which column will have the most updated date. Is that possible to write a formula for? Update: MAX () doesn’t seem to work for anything other than Number fields. Desired outcome is to look at multiple Date column values, pull latest date value or if all the values are the same, output the same value.

I've got a handful of companies that had meetings taking place on various dates.  I want to filter out those companies who did not meet on both 07/17/2023 and 12/05/2023.  For example, if Company A met only on 07/17/2023, it would not be shown.  If Company B met on 07/17/2023, 09/26/2023, and 12/05/2023, only the July and December meeting dates would be shown.  If Company C met on 07/17/2023 and 12/05/2023 only, that record would be shown as-is.  I've attached a file as an example.  Thank you!

I need read-only users to be able to click a button and delete a record. I am just about to start learning JS (how many people are saying that now Airtable Scripting exists!) but currently have no coding knowledge! Can anyone help with a script I can run on a button being clicked to delete the relevant record? Thanks in advance!

I am creating a mapping from record_ids to view name. IIRC there is no better way to to do this than list all records in each view and then create this mapping. To reduce the traffic, I would like to return no fields, when I am traversing each view. However this doesn't seem to be possible as of right now. Would it be possible to add this option to API ?

Hi everyone! I'm trying to tackle an issue that I'm not sure I can solve with Airtable, but hoping to alongside Zapier integrations. I want to randomize monthly meetings across our staff, volunteers, and board. Not everyone is willing to use Slack, where I could just install an app integration, so I'm hoping to automate monthly emails through Airtable. I have a list of about 30 people in our CRM, so what I need to do is create a formula/automation that randomly pairs those people together on a monthly basis. Does anyone know if and how I could do this in Airtable? I would love for this to just run in the background, rather than me having to manually do this every month. Thank you!

Hello! When attempting to edit an app, I enter https://localhost:9000 into the Edit app dialog box, and I’m getting the following message: As well, I run into this screen when going directly to https://localhost:9000 in Chrome: This did not occur previously. I’m not sure what happened but I don’t know what I’m supposed to enable. There doesn’t appear to be an allow-insecure-localhost flag when I go chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hi, I am trying to populate in a cell, "Urgent" when a project is coming up on its {Due Date} within 7 days of today AND the cell that has my completed date, {Date Filed} is Empty. If {Date Filed} is Not Empty, i'd like it to populate "Completed". If {Due Date} is over 7 days away and {Date Filed} is Empty, i'd like it to populate "Pending".Any assistance is appreciated. I have some interfaces where list views are grouped by client name.  I would like a "collapse all" or "expand all" function so that in those interfaces, it is possible to quickly expand all the lists or collapse them and then go one-by-one.  The only "global" controls that I see are filter and sort.  Are there others, or some way to do "collapse all" and "expand all" elsewhere?  Thanks.

Greetings. My automation receives a webhook from a form. In subsequent steps, I'm unable to reference the field values: it's gray, and hovering displays the error "Cannot assign list of collection of complex types to collection of complex types."How can I reference these values, or at least reference the raw JSON in a scripting step?

Has anyone succeeded in merging Airtable data with InDesign CC layouts/style-sheets? :nerd_face: We’d love to be able to leverage online datasets to populate nicely designed layouts for PDF export. This export will be done both locally, as final artwork files for professional print; and hopefully… automatically. We’d :sparkling_heart: LURV :sparkling_heart: to be able to generate PDFs, in the cloud, using real-deal layouts, that can then be relayed/ingested via other integrated services like Dropbox, Slack, email, etc. How would you build an Airtable-InDesign CC-Google Cloud Print-Slack/Email stack? I am building out an intake form for system issues. When a form comes in I want the ticket to be assigned based on who moves the ticket into in progress. I see that I can put conditions to assign to a certain person but not build it out based on how put it in progress. Any help would be great.

I have a form built. Today I was asked to add an option to a multi-select field and published it. I added the option and it is showing in all views and in the preview, but it is not showing on the public-facing version of the form. I am not sure what I am missing that is causing the option to show everywhere except the public-facing side.

I have a "main" table, call it A.  It holds client names.  I have a second table, call it "B."  It will hold deadlines.  For every A record, i.e. client, Table B should have one corresponding record where a lookup field (call it "Name") populates with the "Name" field in Table A.  Then Table B holds deadlines specific to each "carried over" or "mirrored" record from Table A. It should be that when a record is created in A, a corresponding record (assuming auto-number-generated?) would be created in B, with the name lookup from A.  Then deadlines get logged in Table B, and an interface created to allow viewing of deadlines and other things from various other tables for the various clients in Table A. But Table A is the master table.The aim is to have sensible table size (one giant table with every imaginable deadline would be unwieldy) but not have to manually create Table B Deadline records for every Name/Client in Table A.Many

Background:I work for a training provider, offering courses online and in-person. We work with ~50 (and counting...) independent instructors to deliver our live Zoom and field sessions.When scheduling our course deliveries, our Program Managers reach out to instructors with the correct skillset and book according to availability (they're mostly self-employed so have commitments that we don't have visibility of). Once booked, PM allocates the instructor to that specific delivery. In Airtable, that's currently a link between our Instructor table and [Year] Deliveries table.Many of our deliveries are multi-week courses that involve instructors teaching different weeks/modules. One 10 week delivery often has 20 instructors allocated to it.We can have multiple deliveries running at any one time, with different instructor skillsets required.

The cell gives an error (NaN) when the linked table does not contain any linked records. I want to create a formula that will fill-in the cell as '1' if the 'average (values)' is not possible. Thank you.

I’ve got two tables that I’m embedding in a Sharepoint page, using an iframe window. They work great, except that there’s some kind of splash screen showing the Airtable logo that doesn’t go away until the user mouses over it. I just got metadata api and I’m trying to connect it with my airtable and get data but it is not connecting and keeps throwing me errors. I tried performing a GET request on postman as well but it still did not work.

 Hi, I need help with an automation that I can't get to work. I have set up 2 separate automations, both triggers "when record matches condition" (different conditions) one adds one linked record, to field "work" and the other automation adds another linked record to the same field. However, they seem to overwrite the existing linked record. How do I avoid this? I tried setting it up so that I pull in the actual linked record field and then separated by a comma the record id, but that made the automation pull in 2 different linked records, when I only wanted the one 🤔 🤔Any tips? Hi  I'm familiar with the Maps extension in AT and using it without issue but I'm interested in making the map public and embedding onto a website. I've seen some posts about this coming at some point but they date back a few years and so I suspect that's not happening anytime soon. So my question is, what is the easiest way to do this? I understand there is a Google API (Many Map API's) and also some mention of Mapbox but they both seem over complicated for my usecase. This is a very simple request of maybe 10-15 points on the map that could change every few weeks. Has anyone done this, any pointers on the easiest method ? Much appreciated  Jason
