Context Unable to create an automation in Airtable. The path is as follows: An update in the "Sleep" field of Table1 triggers a search for records in Table2 that share a common field (using the "Name" field as the link). The automation then uses a script to update the corresponding records in Table2 with the updated "Sleep" content from Table1 into the Table2 fields, that have the same name, "NewSleep."Automation Path Image Below:My script is producing an error "'recordtoUpdate' is declared but its value is never read.(6133)." I believe what this means is the script doesn't understand or have a value it interprets from Table1 "Sleep" and therefore cannot update the the field of "NewSleep" for the records that have the corresponding name. Hi all, my first post here. I did some searching on the forum and couldn't find the answer to my question so here it is.I'm building a client portal where users can add their own records, and share them with others. The records that they have created and shared are shown in their personal overview. This overview is created by adding a condition to all records made ('record creator' is Logged in User's Client Name).Currently, the users need to add their own name to the record they add in order for the filter to work, but this is quite weird and clunky.Therefore, how do I automatically add the user name to a created record? I tried using "Created by", but I found that this doesn't work.Thanks!
I have a base with two tabs:post IDcontent IDFor each post i can select a content: via link to another record (content ID tab)What I can't manage to get done is the following:I want to go to the Post tab and select "published" next to an post ID & it's according content (from content ID tab) and this information should then also automatically appear in my other tab: content ID.At the moment I found a solution but it adds an extra step. I have connected the two tabs via link to another record but I have to select the post first to get the "published" information transferred. Is there a solution to get it automatically?I would like to add new information to the content (select: published) in the post ID tab, also updating this information for the content used in the post, therefore this change should also be visible in the content ID tab.Anyone here has a solution for this issue?Thanks a lot 🙏
We're trying to sync a list of contacts in Airtable to my Apple iCloud Contacts using the Make app https://www.make.com/enWe still don't have it working. Hello AirTable community - I am very new to AirTable and learning the ropes. I have attempted to get a clear answer on this within the regular knowledgebase but cannot find it.I have a Jira Cloud project, and I am exploring using AirTable with the goal to make it easier for my team to navigate work without needing to deal with Jira's UI. I suspect AirTable could be a better experience for them to check their own work, group work in different ways, and ultimately have the "spreadsheet-like" experience they tend to prefer.To accomplish my use case, I need my team to be able to update their tickets from AirTable. I need my team team to edit Assignee, Priority, Status, Release, and sometimes even Summary or Description of a ticket from AirTable or else they won't be able to "avoid Jira completely" like I am hoping I can let them do with this solution.Right now I get the following error whenever trying to edit a field: You don't have permission to edit synced records in this table.&nbs
I habe a base with two tables (simplified below):1 for projects & 1 for the people working the projectsboth tables are connected with "link to other record"one person can work on several projects (allow linking to several records)QUESTION:in the projects table, how can I do a "grouping" by "person" without have all combinations as a group each but always only a single option. 1 Person, all projects listed below.--> Eg: Group: person A, below all projects the person is working onINSTEAD OF (what I always get but don't need): Person A, Person B & Person C, below the project that all of them are working on in this combination (and so on)If that is not possible, I am open for other ideas how best to organize this.My assumption was: person is unique, project is unique but the challenge is, that one person can work on different projects and vice versa. Also, I would like to have all the registered users in one place in Airtable. I now need this form to be available in different languages: French, German, English, Italian, and so on. My concern is mainly with dropdown fields. How would you proceed?
I would like to recreate a transaction sheet and P&L sheet from Google Sheets into Airtable. In Sheets, there is a "Transactions" sheet with all of the company's expenses. The relevant columns for the P&L sheet are data, amount, category 1, subcategory 1, subcategory 2, and subcategory 3. On the "P&L" sheet, which tracks the transactions by categories and month, I am using SUMIFS equations to get the weekly and monthly totals for each category, as well as the total expenses for each month. For example, this is a snippet of the table. It is continuous for the whole year. I would like to recreate this in Airtable. Right now, I have a "Transactions" table in Airtable. The first field in the date, then a field for the category (Employee, SAAS, contract, office), then a field for the first subcategory (USA salary, PH Salary, Intern, Travel, Sales & marketing, etc.) and then another field for the second subcategory (data research, website, PA, etc). Hi all,I am a Campaign Coordinator and I use Airtable to help with my reporting. I currently have every campaign uploaded within Airtable for the entire fiscal year. However, I am looking to filter a bar chart extension to only represent the campaigns for quarter 1.For example, I have a table that represents the campaign goal for each campaign. I created a formula: {Campaign Count}/{Campaign Count Rollup (from Goal) (from Label)} *1However, this represents the percentage of total campaigns for each goal. I am looking to filter the bar chart to represent only the campaigns for Q1. Does anyone have a solution to this?Thank you in advance!
We have a base that has start date and end date columns. Need a formula that counts how many days worked in the month on that project. Anyone done this before?
Is there a way to filter records that contain a word or text string without having to create a filter with the text for each field? I realize this can be done with a search, but I would like to have a view with the filter. Ideally with several words or text strings, with an “Any of” option.
I think this is a formula question .... Maybe extensions or something. I have an interface with two key components: attachments and comments. Since there will be many attachments at any given time, I want to add a data field that looks up/displays only the last uploaded attachment. How can I accomplish this?

Hi there! I have a question about AirTable automations and photos. For our company, our team members fill out a form through AirTable every time they complete a job. There is an automation set up where the answers to the form are emailed to 2 email addresses - the team member who filled out the form, and then a company admin email account. One of the fields in the form is to upload a photo of the job. For a while, the photos were sent as attachments to the email, but that no longer works. Is there any way to either attach or include the photos that are uploaded to the form in the email that is automatically sent with the form answers? I have not been able to figure out a way yet! GG ☀️New to the community and to Airtable automations After hitting a brick wall all morning - linking the records of '⭐️ Associates' and '🤝 Clients' so they update each other when 'Associate' and 'Client' are added to the same row of a field in 'Project ▸ TRACKING' - I now realise I have a new issue, automatically deleting records!i.e. when I delete Client X from Helen the fields remain linked.The current automationwhen Associate, and Client are not emptyupdate Associate table ⬇️ note: to make Record ID be valid I had to select Associate/Edit Token/and select ID 🤷♂Now, how do I go about reversing the process? Or is there simple version to this as I build out more relationships between tables with will become more and more complex 😅In advance thank you 😇
Hi,I'm using the Airtable app on Mac. Whenever I try to input a new user in the User Field, the field prompts for a password autofill with my Apple fingerprint and blocks or hinders my input. I've submitted a support request to Airtable with no response and seen other people with similar problems with no solution. Has someone found a solution to this problem? Thanks
I have two Date fields. I need a third field that simply displays the date in the first field unless it's blank, then displays the date in the second field. Here is the formula I'm using: IF({Dev End} = '', {Deadline}, {Dev End}) The formatting options for both Date fields and the Formula field are the same:I'm having two problems. First, the output date in this new Formula field is coming back one day before where it should be. I assume I could just add a day to the result within the formula, but I'm not sure why this happens in the first place. I suspect they have to do with the Time Zone. If I display the time zone, I see GMT, but I can't seem to select my time zone (EDT) unless I also display the time. I'm not interested in the time.The second problem is that I'm not able to use the Formula field as the end date in a Gantt view. I'm a new user (still on the trial period before going to Pro). I'm trying to import records using the .csv import extension. However, I keep getting the message that I can't import the records because the "table is locked".I've searched the help, looked around here, and opened a trouble ticket 4 days ago to which I have yet to receive a reply about this.In the help, I've found how to unlock a view, but not a table. Can someone please refer me to the solution here? I've looked under every link with no success.Thank you.
I have two tables, one with a list of payroll dates(vertically) for a company and another that is a payroll download that includes payroll dates(vertically), gross pay and employee information. In excel I used the sumif formula to say in sheet 2 sum gross pay for all the rows that equal the payroll start and end date in sheet 1.Example: There are 10 employees so there are 10 rows with different employees names and gross pay amounts in sheet 2. In sheet 1 I have a single row with the start date 1/1/2023 and end date 1/15/2023. I want to be able to to say sum the gross pay for all the rows in sheet 2 that have a start date of 1/1/2023 and end date of 1/15/2023. I need these dates to be referencing something though so that it will sum different date ranges based on the row it is in. So if the next row down in sheet 1 is 1/16/2023 and 1/31/2023 then it will sum all the gross pay amounts in sheet 2 for that date range. I tried the rollup but it is not dynamic enough, and neither i

I couldn't get it back so i figured I would fill it out and see where it went. Suddenly I have a new account and it won't let me log out. Normally I would just shrug this off except that I have an important work that depends on a response in a discussion post I posted on my original account. Sorry if something similar has been posted already - I'm hoping to figure out an automation where when a record on one lable is labled (via checked checkbox) as a primary contact, that record links to the "primary contact" linked record field on a different table. In a perfect world, this could coincide with an automation where if the primary contact changes (a record is unchecked), that record is unlinked, and replaced with the new record.Or - is this possible to do with conditional formatting at all?
