Hello, I'm frustrated! For nearly two hours I've been looking at Airtable documents trying to achieve what I could do in five minutes with a spreadsheet using the filter or query functions. There are a few recent posts on the same subject but each case is slightly different and I'm too frustrated to focus for long. Soon I need to go off to my paid work having spent the entire afternoon on this.I've got one table with a list of unique place names in the primary field along with related data, I want a second table in the same "base" (I think that's the word) to display all places with specific matching data. For example, list all places in a specific region where the region is specified in another column of the first table.Maybe linked records or lookup or both are what I need, or neither. Nothing is clear. I follow the advice in videos and articles then in practice half the time the option to lookup for link a record isn't even shown.If it's possible with Airtabl

I want to sum all the parts required for open orders and display them in the Inventory Table "Required For Orders" field. Hi, I need an attendance tracker for a nonprofit organization that organizes different activities throughout the year. I first tried doing a form that our coordinators of each activity would use to report the activity, time, description/impact, and attendance. The attendance is linked to a table that compiles the beneficiaries of the different activities that are run by the Non-profit. We already have some beneficiaries or previous participants in this table and so some of the attendees are already in our records, but when we have new attendees, I would like to be able to generate a new record from a form. I am able to add a new record in the grid view, but not in the Form. I have already tried doing an interface and it still won't give me the option to add new records in both form or interface. Hey all, I've created a form to solicit website feedback.I will place it in our CMS on *every* article we run - thousands and thousands of pieces of content. I want to auto fill in one field ('sourceurl') with my own javascript snippet, which works, but the problem is I can't target the field - every time you load the form, it dynamically generates a new ID for the input field. We have enterprise support (and I've even spoken to our rep and put in tech requests). I've also posted here and was told my solution should work, but at that time, I didn't realize the IDs generate fresh, so I am still trying to get this working.I've even used the 'field manager' which lists a static ID for the field, but this static ID is not used in the embedded iframe as far as I can tell.

Hello Airtable Community!I am trying to build something and I am STUMPED. Hoping someone can help! CONTEXT: I run a coaching business that services multiple clients. I am trying to build a tracker that tracks the number of coaching sessions that are booked each month.I would like to track (1) total number of monthly sessions across all clients and (2) the total number monthly sessions for each client. Clients can book up to 3 sessions.Currently, I am only doing (1) total number of monthly sessions across all clients. I have a table that records each booked session and links it to the month that it was booked in. The linked record then uses a count field to sum up the number of Session #1s, Session #2s, and Session #3s. Lastly, I use a formula field to sum up the total number of All Sessions (#1 + #2 + #3) to get a total of session

Hello,I am building a base for a restaurant's catering service. Right now, I have a table with the catering menu with items and prices per item. I have another table for the catering orders. I created a field that links to the catering menu to select the person's order. The issue I encountered was that I cannot select the same record more than once. So if an order includes 2 of more of the same item, I can only mark it once.I know linking to the same record multiple times is not possible. So I am trying to find alternative solutions. Thanks.  

I have a script, creating records from an API. The API data works fine. Instead, I'm having trouble entering a Linked Field value. I understand it needs to an array, but I can't get it to work.I have one table of Schools. The script loops through the schools, does an API call using the school ID, then creates records in the Courses table."school.id" returns the Airtable record ID correctly in the console log. I need that to be entered in the School Link field at the end. I used the Airtable tutorial on making a booking system (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES1RyNPv_Kg&t=246s) which got me 90% of what I need. Now, I need time slots to remain persistent based on the team selected. For example:I have a 6 PM, 7 PM, and 8, PM time slot open, but I also have 3 different teams with those time slots available. If team A is selected for the 6 PM time slot, I need that slot to vanish if the user selects team A from the drop-down on the next booking. I also need the 6 PM slot to show up for Teams B and C until those are selected.It's almost like taking the basic booking system but enhancing it so you can schedule time with different yoga teachers who are available during the same time slot, while simultaneously preventing double-booking by employing a filtering mechanism similar to the basic booking system tutorial.Any h

I have been trying to wrap my brain around this for months now. I just can't figure out how to do it. I want a table with all my team's tasks. Each project has multiple assignments and each assignment has multiple tasks (usually around 10 or so). We usually enter 10 - 150 assignments at a time and they are spread out over multiple start dates. There are a couple of different assignment types and each has a different list of tasks. There's some additional data that we attach to each assignment (requirements) and tasks (expected hours to complete, etc). All of that is in various tables. Our upload spreadsheet has all the requirements, first person assigned (starting the assignment), start date, etc. What I need to do is enter, copy/paste, or upload the list of assignments and have airtable: 1) create the list of tasks for each assignment based on the assignment type1a) each task in sequence using a formula (e.g. start date + 3 work

Hi all, I have a table with a field that is constantly updated (everytime the user clicks a button, this field stores the user email). The problem is that when a new user clicks this button the email gets replaced by the email from the user who clicked last. I would like to set up an automation so that every time this field gets update for it to copy the email to a different field where all the emails from people who have clicked gets stored.So far I created a text field which receives de email information when the user clicks the button and also created a linked field (linked to the users table) that is where I would like to have everyone who has clicked.Any tips or help will be highly appreciated. Hi Everyone,I'm new to Airtable and formulas and have a pretty simple formula that is displaying a hyphen as a result of a calculation of zero, instead of the number 0. Hello All,I need to migrate all of my records from an old base in to a new base.  The records in the old base have been assigned a number (through Auto ID plus a formula).  We are leaving the old base behind, importing all of the records in to the new one base, and resuming work in the new base.  I am trying to figure out how I can have Airtable resume number sequencing from where we left off in the old base and continue in the new base.  The new number sequence does not have to start exactly where the old one left off, and i cannot have the Auto Number feature assign a new number to existing records that I have imported.For example, we use Airtable to create and track projects.  Whenever a project is created, we have a summary field formula that takes the Auto Number (in this example 50011) and joins with with the prefix PR- (making it PR-49998) and also joins it with the project name (again in this example it is Organic Social Retainer - TEST

Hi all,I'm using Airtable for a recruitment company. I have a table for candidates and for job listings. I want to be able to enter a new job with a salary, location and function and then have candidates who match the 3 criteria highlighted.So far I've created tables for salary, location and function then put linked fields for each in my job listing table and candidate table. So I can now tag the roles and candidates with each criteria and then using look-up fields show the candidates who have matched each criteria individually against the role.It would be great if there was a way to show candidates who match each of the 3 criteria. So a way of comparing the data across 3 lookup fields and highlighting any matches. Or is there an easier way to achieve this?Many thanks

Hi !I'd like to substitute the "€" symbol only when it's alone in a field. (alone but with a space in front)For example, I've sometine a field with :1.00 €2.00 €€€€and it's very ugly in our contract.  ><I thought at the "LEN" and "FIND" formulas but I struggle to not replace the € when it is accompanied with a number... It would require a formula that only searches and replaces € symbols when it is alone with a leading space.Any ideas will be greatly appreciated :-)))) Thanks !
