Hi all,I am new to AirtableI am currently trying to create an internal fit out tracker for a construction project for a block of apartments, i am looking at tracking and reporting the completion of each trade completing their task within each apartment.I've currently set up a base with 3 tables in, the first table (see image) lists the apartment number (270 in total)The second table has Fitout Tasks (See Image), which consists of 1st fix, 2nd fix, and final fixThe Third table (See image) is the Fitout subtasks that are the children of each of the above fixes, i.e the 1st fix has 9 sub task that need to be completed so that we can move on to the second fix, the second fix has 14 sub tasks that again need to be completed so that you can then move on to the final fix which has 16 tasks.I've linked each of the sub-tasks(Third table) to the Tasks (Second table) and then linked both the tasks and subtasks to each of the apartment blocks.The

Im currently creating a database for retrieve data from a questionnaire, in this database I have two tables, a “result” table where I store all the answers, and a “text” table where I store texts that will be displayed in relation to the responses obtained. For example : Part of my questionnaire is used to obtain a “self-confidence” score, depending on this score one of the 3 “self-confidence” texts will be displayed (low self-confidence, medium self-confidence, or hightself-confidence) . To do this I first created a formula field “calculation text self-confidence” which allows me, depending on the score obtained, to obtain a value 1, 2 or 3 (this value is used to determine which of the 3 texts I want to display). Hi, I have a database for a marketplace and I want to calculate average rating for each service. I have a table called Services, which lists each service, and there is a column called Reviews, which links to a table called Reviews with a primary column that has the formula for listing the number of stars numerically (rating). How would I get the average rating for each Service and have that as a column in Services?

I am hoping there is a formula to achieve this... but not sure. I want to automatically generate the formatting that is in the "IDEAL" field on the right, that way this does not have to be done manually.Any help/thoughts would be appreciated!

Is there a way to group values by only a select number of groups? I have a cell title "groups" where we dump in all records the various groups that we have in our base. i.e. Accelerator, Incubator, Advisory Board, Faculty, etc.. This means when I go to group one section, in this case the advisory board, the group gets split into multiple groups. Those with just "Advisory Board," those with "Advisory Board and Incubator" etc.Is it possible to just group these by "Advisory Board" and "Faculty" and ignore all the other "Groups" that are present?TIA!

I have two lookup fields that are an array inside my table. One shows the number of products (30, 30, 30, etc.) and the other show the name of the products (product name 1, product name 2, product name 3, etc.).If the fields have just one product, I can easily concatenate them into "number" & "name" (e.g., 30 product name 1), but that doesn't work on multiple arrays. I'm trying to combine the fields such that the output will be number and name in order (e.g., 30 product name 1, 30 product name 2).It seems like ARRAYJOIN() into a list is the appropriate function, but I can't get it to work. Hello,I'm new to Airtable, and I had a question about how I can go about the following process:I have a table in my base that has a research participant's name for each row, and each name has 4 CSV files of measurements attached to it. All 4 of these CSV files have the same types of measurements for each participant. Ideally, I would like to compile all of these CSV files into a table (either in the same table or a different one) where there is a participant name for each row, followed by all of their measurements. That way, I will be able to run statistics based on this data. Does anyone know of a good way to go about this? I've tried some things with the CSV Import Extension, but it seems that importing CSV files from the original table into a new one isn't supported.Thank you!

Hello guys,I have a field that use a simple formula to calculate the time passed (in minutes) between the created time of a record and Now that goes like this: DATETIME_DIFF(  {Created},  NOW(),  'minutes') * -1 The time displayed in minutes on the field does not update every minute.If can go from 1 minute, to 5 and then to 8 or 9. My question is:How can I have this field value update by the minute of even in seconds if the formula shows the time in second? Hope I explain my self correctly 🙂 Thanks in advanc

Hey Airtable community!I'm working on a table where documents expire but not necessarily I need update them or actually mark them as expired, so my action depends on what the owner of the document decides.My idea is to send an automatic e-mail when a document expires, where it would be a brief informative with 2 options: mark documet as expired or update document. I want this options to be buttons where the person only has to click and I would receive an automatic e-mail with the response. Does anyone know a way of doing this?

Hi All,I've been trying to use the below formula to exclude weekends, so rather than showing 7 days to show 5 days instead. it seem to make sense using 3 but I'm not sure why? when the formula is returned  and Date Reservation Time Stamp is blank it returns NaN Days Remaining is there a way to say IF {Date Reservation Time Stamp} is blank show as Blank on the output? formula I'm currently using DATETIME_DIFF((WORKDAY({Date Reservation Time Stamp},3)),TODAY(),'days') & " Days Remaining"

I have ~20 independent interfaces, all of which are intended to maintain identical structure and formatting. Is there a way to push/publish design modifications from one interface across ALL interfaces? I unfortunately can’t make use of the interface filter and record selector tool for my application.  

I have an automation that triggers at midnight every night. It runs a Find Records on a table with a date field, looking for dates that match "Yesterday." Below is a screen cap of the trigger going off at the right time/day (7/15). It should have pulled a record made on 7/14 (which I have confirmed exists and matches all of the other requirements for the lookup). I'm worried that the record "created time" is in PDT but that the lookup automation is in GMT, and therefore is puling the wrong date? Timezones always feel hazardous to automate around, so any insight or best practices advice would be so helpful! Thank you! 

Hello everyone. Within my Airtable interface, I would like to create a form where users can add their input to a table that is already visible within the same interface, so normally, when someone submits a form, it's immediately shown in that already-visible table, but I'd like to have an approval process before. Therefore, I'm wondering if it's possible to establish an authorization process in which I, or any other contributors, can "approve" a submitted input before it is officially added to the base.Thanks in advance.

I have Integromat automatically generate invoices vai Google Sheets using data from AirTable. Although after the invoice is generated it is fairly ugly given there is no formatting on the Google Sheet. These invoices are dynamic so I cannot use a static template that I format in advance. Is there a way to have integromat/airtable format the dynamically created google sheet? Thank You, Friends.

Having a hard time making it that when Entering a new contact, they can also add a new organization. I should note...Contacts and Orgs are on two separate Tables. Interface is 'contact' centric -- ie, it's viewing the contacts table. I've figured out how to allow users to create a new contact, but within that contact, I can't seem to Add a new org. No idea where this 'contact form' template has come from -- there isn't a corresponding form on my dataand within the customize button, I see no means with which to permit 'adding a new org'Please tell me this is an option 🤞🤞🤞

We maintain an Airtable base for each of our clients, as a central knowledgebase for the work we complete with them.The challenge we have is that we are always finding ways to improve the base/interface design, and there's no easy way of pushing these updates to every existing customer, resulting in inconsistent implementations.The more obvious answer is for all customers to be on the same base. Still, we use multiple interfaces on top for each customer, which then isn't very scaleable or user-friendly for admins having to navigate to the right interface. The other issue here is that we consider this an asset we can hand back to the client when parting ways, so having to unpick just their data when this happens is another potential hurdle.We could build our own custom software to replace interfaces, but we love the Interface design and feature set and don't want to have to invest unnecessarily.  Our current update process involves

Is there a way to add hyperlinks to comment threads or does anyone know the full capability list of the comment threads. Was looking for an article but could not find. We are using the comment thread for project management and so want to see all the use cases. 

I am a little confused about the release of all these new features in the interface designer for the record detail pages. Many great additions and functions. Many that we asked for. Thank you.BUTAll of them only seem to apply only to new pages I create (which is a good thing for now), not to existent pages.  Do I eventually have to redo all my old pages from scratch or will these new features eventually be available (by my own choice) on my existent pages?Many things seem to have gone missing or are different:I can no longer place individual text elements on my pages.I can no longer user separators.I can no longer duplicate reference field items, such as lists, etc. to use them in different places of my page.I can no longer place the comments section where it best suits our needs.I can no longer place buttons exactly where I need them.I can no longer idividually

Hi all,This is my first time in the community so I am learning as I go forward 🙂I have 9 bases for 9 different countries that have their own data and interfaces. However, I want to have these 9 bases synced into one base which I did using the import from airtable and sync function. The problem is joining these 9 synced bases in one table. I tried scripts, I tried automation based on time to create new records (still facing major issues with this) and the main problem is when it comes to updating the info in the main table with the 9 synced bases. Since airtable creates its own records ID, I am not able to do the updates because whenever airtable creates an ID and then you copy it to another table the ID changes.Regarding the scripts, since we have info linked between tables, drop-down and check boxes in the tables the script is not able to do the required copy or update.Any idea how to work around this?Thank you for your help

I have fields for "First Name" and "Preferred Name." I want the "Preferred Name" field to default to the value in "First Name," but still be editable if a different preferred name is desired. I also want to implement a similar approach for the mailing address, where the "Mailing Address" field defaults to the value in the "Physical Address" field but allows for easy editing when needed.Any ideas on how to achieve this without duplicating fields? I appreciate your input and suggestions!
