This question is similar to what another person asked here:I would like to also:1- Select the fields where duplicates values exist.2- Select to keep the newest record to keep3- Run it and be done.however I would like this to be the case with newly created records as well. Every new record that contains a duplicate value in a field would be kept while the existing record with the same value would be deleted. This way the newest record with the value is kept, the old is deleted. The solution in the above link only works for existing records, not newly created records. So I was wondering if there is a way to delete records in this way in Airtable. fyi: my new records are being made using a post API request, if that information helps. thank you

Hello Airtable community,This is my first Airtable project having previously used Trello and Monday.com.I am looking to create a project management tool with standard features (client, contact, team member, project, etc).  Where I am getting stuck when mapping out/setting up is:Projects are to have a start and end date (proposed) or a timeline that can be changed depending on progress on-site. This ideally will have subitems as stages or tasks. I see this as quite straight forward. Team members will be assigned to a project, which can change daily. For example: Team member 1 works on Project 1 next week, however on the following week we need team member 1 on project 2 for 2 days, then back to project 1.  Equipment/machinery TO be treated similar to team members or as items? So they can also be allocated to a project for differing times.With the above in mind, my boss would like to continue sending out a daily (or weekly) schedule showing who is where on what day and what equipment need

I am trying to add a hyperlink that will direct applicants to a third party website within the help text of a form, in order for applicants to visit this site they will currently have to manually copy and past the link in to their browser.  is there a way to have it so that they could just click on the link provided and that would open up the link? so this english proficiency test link is the one I am referring to…   Thank you in advance!

Hey! We have a difficult airtable formula to create that outputs 1 or 0 based on how soon a date is. Could you tell me if you could help?This is the problem:We have a variable called {Deadline}, which is the deadline to respond to a job. We have a job board linked to airtable. However, this is also the deadline for us as recruiters do our work with the applicant. It's still up on the website even minutes before the deadline. So if someone responds, it's too late, which is frustrating for them. But we still would want them to apply in case we have the time.So we need AT LEAST 8 hours (a 9:00 until 17:00 workday) * 60 minutes (for more accuracy) = 480 minutes to do our recruitment work. So we need a formula that says: IF we have less than or equal to 480 minutes of work during work hours until the deadline, the formula should be 1 (indicating to us that we should give a warning on the website when someone applies that we might not make it but will try). My system allows people to sign up for projects and when they sign up, I have an automation running that adds them to the projects table from the users table. The issue is, it’s not allowing that user to be added to multiple projects. If a user clicks the link on a different project, they are removed from the first one. Any insights on why this behavior is happening?

Hi allI’m on the free Airtable tier and I’ve created a basic app to store data about the salamis I make as a hobby. There are several tables. The default interfaces pages are fine for my needs. Is there a way to create a basic homepage that shows when I open the airtable app on my phone that shows me a simple form that has a button to create a new salami, create a new daily measurement, daily PH test, new recipe etc?I have a form but can’t see how to have the buttons open a new form (ie open the Add Salami form) and I can’t see how to have it open by default, and I can’t see a way to have it show when I open the app or the Interface in the app. My guess is that within that is my answer.  But can anyone help?

Hi there, It has been a while since i last made any significant updates to my Airtable projects so I am a bit rusty. I am struggling to find the best way to create “a table inside a table”....I have a table called “Quotes” that has these fieldsQuote ID (single line text) Option (some clients will review different configurations) Line items (multi-select)I want the Line items field to select multiple (static data) records from another table called “products” and then list them inside the quote record. Is this even possible? Any other way to achieve a similar result? 

Hello,I am endeavoring to create a social-media post manager/tracker to coordinate reposting of the same centrally-approved content on the same dates by many different agencies for various campaigns.  The first table contains a record for each content item with the posting date(s) assigned, along with the agencies who will need to post; since there may be multiple posting dates, instead of a Date field, I have added a table just for dates to make this a Linked Record selection.  My second table, which has a row for each selectable date, pulls in the content to be posted on each selected date with a lookup for the agencies tied to each. This is intended to be the table that contains views specific to each agency for their own status updates, filtered to show each agency's approved content assignments (via the "Msg Approved by City" checkbox). This is how I would like it to work when the base is put into use.  Note that I tried to use Autonumber for the primary f

Gents, do you know how to connect the Airtable db with Telegram bot?

So CSV has proven to be a problem for me. I downloaded a CSV file from Homebase, the database my dad used before either of us had ever heard of Airtable, and his product description cells were separated out because of all the commas within. How do I prevent that from happening with Airtable? I’m currently combing through my dad’s 50,000+ records to cut-and-paste clauses back into their origin cells and it is a complete nightmare. It’s not something I can do every time I download a CSV file from Airtable. Please, oh please, tell me there’s a way to avoid getting cells separated out because they’re long text fields with product descriptions that include commas. :fearful:

Hi I am extremely confused by Airtables Linked records and dependencies. Former Access User - I am used to the process of a query design where one takes two tables, identify the matched field on both tables and then having the ability to create a new table with the records from both tables or update one table based on that field relationship. In airtable I can’t see to find a way to do this.I keep creating a linked record in airtable from one table to another and it’s empty.. if I make a lookup field up it wants me to add things but I have the data in both tables I just need to manipulate. I have watched and read airtable instructions over and over and it’s not clicking!! 

Hello,I am having trouble getting a script to automatically generate records from two lists: bonus plan and staff list into “bonustable”. I was able to set up the automation steps to find the corresponding lists from the bonus plan and staff list. I have tried AI to get the script but it is not iterating each item from the input list. Hi,Which Language setting should be used to paste formulas, i mean here:  Several times I wanted to ask it on old forum engine, but then just selected ‘Javascript’ and postponed it until next time. Here it looks not so good, so maybe I’m just missing a better way to do it?Well, in my opinion, the Javascript was better in old forum as well, here it’s too much red, while red supposed to be warning/error color. But maybe it’s just a matter of taste and mine is far from perfect.

I’m working on a voting app, where there are tons of enhancements. There’s a ‘Votes’ field which is of type ‘User.’ Users can add their names to that field in order to vote for that enhancement. This is based on a simple, single table.I want to have an interface page that lists enhancements that have gotten votes, sorted by the number of votes each has gotten. So if I add my name to that Users-type field, the number of votes for that enhancement goes up by one, and the sorted list of enhancements by number of votes gets appropriately updated.I thought I could just do a calculated field with this formula: COUNTALL({Votes})However, that’s giving me a value of one (1) for each record, even though right now most fields have no entries and a few have 2 or three.I’ve only done pretty basic things with Airtable, so I’m hoping there’s a simple way to do this and I just can’t get google to find it for me. Any help you can offer would be appreciated! 

I am struggling with the last stage of an automation and keep getting a message that it's received invalid inputs but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm a Literary Agent and have a Titles table, an Authors table and an Editors Table.When I'm working on a book and chat to an editor about it I have a section in the title field where I can add a link to an editor who wants to see that book and it will create a new entry in my submission tracker that is named 'Title - Editor' so that when I come to do my submission I have a full list of who I've spoken to in the right place. This brings through the title/author information no problem, but, the editors are all lumped in together on the linked field which means I can't separate out and easily find the publisher/imprint info. I've created a formula that will pull the editor name from the main field on this table. Then I've created an automation that says when the editor name calculation updates, find a record that matches

I use Airtable as a logbook for the vehicle (TABLE1). Each row = one trip. I would like to use automation to send myself an email when an oil change is due. So I need to total the miles driven (from TABLE1) and compare that to when the oil change is due, which should be placed in another table (TABLE2).Is it possible to create one record in TAB2 that still shows the current SUM column from TAB1 (same number as in the summary bar)?I don't want to use a rollup that has to be manually updated each time.

Having a few issues with new dashboards...Is there a way to not use a list, but instead use a grid layout for data on a dashboard? List view, especially here where you can not do levels, is useless.Is there a way to edit records in-line in the dashboard? no matter what I do, I can't seem to make it editable and have to expand each record individually. I built a project management tool using softr as the UI. I am looking to build an airtable automation that sends and email upon various triggers with the airtable data. The triggers seem to work fine, I am having trouble pulling in the data I need from related records in other tables. The data structure in this example would be:Project Table - has a field containing project members. This field is related to the user table Users table - has individual records for each user and a field in each user record containing all the projects it is associated with Drafts Table - Each record contains the data about a video draft I have built, including the project the draft is related to.The desired automation would detect a new draft record has been created and find the associated project record which contains a field defining the “primary project contact”. I have a database of contacts and I would like to keep a record of the activities or meetings in which they participate (I don't know if in each activity I should adjust the form for this action). But it would only be to add this new column, not to create duplicates of people each time they attend an activity. Thanksss!!!

Airtable has how to autocomplete fields in a form, that is to say that through a unique key it preloads data already existing in the database that are requested in the form.
