I am trying to figure out an effective way to share a view with external collaborators. Companies like Smartsheets allow unlimited guest editors for no extra cost on their business plan, but it seems that with Airtable if I want to share my project plan with a customer just to mark tasks as complete we need to pay $10/mo/user for portals, or full price to get them into the company Airtable account. Are there any alternatives here? How have you guys accomplished this effectively?

Are there ways to export on-screen data for the applicable record or child records to a PDF or XLSX from interface designer? I'm aware of the page builder extension in the base, and the download to csv option in the base view screen - but I want my users to stay in interfaces. I'd like to be able to add a button up top that says "Export to XLSX" on a project plan and have an XLSX or CSV document be spawned for download from the interfaces screen. Alternatively it could be emailed or pushed to cloud storage.Is there a way to do this natively? Or only with 3rd party integrations?

Hi everybody, as you can see I try to connect my airtable with my ghost CMS and I click “yes” on the field where it says “include file content, because it seems an existing problemn with Airtable. But whatever I do in zapier, it still an outdated URL. Is there any workaroudn to fix this?

Hi, I’m looking for a formula that will flag when a name is appearing in different columns in the same row. This is to flag scheduling conflicts. Column A, Column B, Column C, Column DParticipant X, Participant X, Participant Y, Participant Z Here is my current formula for 2 columns:IF(AND({Column A} != "", {Column A} = {Column B}),"Duplicate")It works. But when I try to add more columns, it breaks down. Can anyone help? Or is there another method altogether?

 I need help in displaying number of characters entered, and number of characters left in text fields in forms. Something like this:The number of characters remaining should get dynamically updated as the user types/deletes the characters.

Does anyone have a current script that is parsing any emails beiing received in the new “trigger when email received”. Hi there, I’m trying to create an airtable automation script whereby it takes in the Full name of a record and changes only the first letter into uppercase (upper caps). I have 2 forms that a customer fills out - 1 is info about the company, which populates on the company table. The second is for the employees table and it collects info about each employee that works at the company. I currently have the form set up to collect the company info first, then they click “continue” and it redirects to the employee form. They then have the ability to fill out the employee form as many times as needed. I tried using a pre-filled link for this button to auto fill in the company name on the employee table linking the two, but that does not work. Should I be using an automation? Is there any solution for this that does not include using a 3rd app?Any ideas for linking the records is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Can anyone give me a definitive answer to this question?I have a list Interface with 3 levels of heirarchy - Apiary, Hive, InspectionThis is for beekeeping. An apiary is a collection of Hives and Hives are inspected frequently.On desktop in a browser (Safari) I can click into the Apiary Details and scroll down to the list of Hives and add a new one.Still on desktop, when I expand the Apiary the interface shows its Hives as expected with an ‘+Add Record’ (why can’t I call them Hives?) button, and when I expand a Hive I can see the inspections as expected and at the bottom of the list of inspections is a ‘+ Add Inspection’. All good. Makes sense.But none of those things are available in mobile (iOS 18.3.2, iPhone 12 Pro)I can open an item at any level and edit that item but I can’t add new hives or inspecti

Hi all,I have a list layout in Interface which allows users to click into records.  In the page which loads, I have a list block which shows a list of players who have played a game.  I have it set up to allow users to add new players to that list.  It works as expected on desktop, but not on the mobile Interface.  On mobile any existing players are visible, but there's no button to add a new player to the list.Is this a feature that just hasn't come out yet or am I missing something super obvious lol?  TIA!

My base has a people table and a calendar table. The primary field in the people table is name. In the calendar table, the people table is linked with a field called assignee. In the calendar table, the assignee field correctly displays the primary field name value in grid, calendar, kanban, timeline, gallery and list views, however in all ~100 gannt views my team has created the assignee field now incorrectly displays the airtable record ID of the linked record in the people table. This just began yesterday.  Why is this happening?Am I able to change something to correct this?

Hi all,We've been using a Page Designer invoice setup for a few years without issue, but we're now running into a problem where the Address field isn’t displaying properly.Originally, the Address was pulled in via a lookup field. The field shows the correct data in the row, but Page Designer is displaying a “0” instead of the address.As a troubleshooting step, I also tried using a plain long text field with the address manually entered—but in Page Designer, it just shows a blank square. It’s like the field isn’t registering at all.Is anyone else running into this? Or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve it?

Hi There!I'm developing a resource allocation base for my team, where tasks may involve multiple collaborators, each with distinct daily availability and varying percentages of time commitment. While assigning resources at the project level is an option, it doesn't accommodate the differing daily time percentages required by each collaborator. How can I structure the template to effectively account for these variables?

In our base, we have a field where users can select a project from a linked table. However, we want users to only select from existing projects, not create new ones. Currently, the small "+" button still appears next to the field, allowing users to add new projects—something we want to prevent.Is there an easy way to disable or hide the "+" button in a linked record field without locking or restricting the entire field or table for the user? We're looking for a solution that allows selection from existing records but completely disables the creation of new ones via this interface.Screenshot to show that often projects are added by incident - which we would like to prevent 

Hi Team, I would like to understand, how to automatically reset the form sub-field values, when user change the parent input field. Here is a simple example,Form has two fields, Country and State which is dynamically populated using Linked record feature State field will be shown displayed, only when Country field is not-empty (ie, only when user selects the country, state field will be enabled for selection) Once user selects the Country and State, and when we clear the country selection, then automatically state field is getting disappeared as per the condition mentioned in step-2 When user selects the country again, State field is shown, but with previously selected value We do not want this field to show the users previous selection, because user has changed the country , hence we want user to reselect the state freshly and not showing the previous selected value 

Have automation to run when record is created, When record is created, It will set added_date, add_by(person email) and set record as active. It does 2 of 3… It doesnt add person email address. What could I be doing wrong?   

Hi all,I'm trying to create a gantt where I could provide a start date for the first task and from there the start dates and end dates of all other tasks would be calculated automatically (the start date of a task is the MAX of the end dates of all its predecessors).I have a the predecessors as self Links to the same table. I have reconnected everything but get the follwing error message.Error message "This automation is no longer authorized to use the configured Google Sheets account. Hey all,I would like to update the access for some base collaborators who currently have full access to base & Interface to Interface-only access (these users were already shared as collaborators before it was possible to share an Interface without giving access to the base).In this case, does anyone know if I have to entirely delete these users from the base and then re-share them as Interface-only contributors (with the 'Allow access to data in the base' unchecked upon share)?Thanks in advance!

I have a use case for airtable product and want to see if its possible already or if its planned or suggested. Or maybe its outside of the scope of what airtables invisions to do with its product.In a nutshell it would make airtable act like a platform, where relatively complex soft and apps are developed and sold out as a product on its own to other businesses and customers. Use case description:1. I create a workflow with automations, syncs and all that airtable has to offer in one workspace, with multiple bases synced between them in one workspace. So it becomse like a app or a soft in itself.2. Then this workspace is like the "Admin or Blueprint Workspace", that can be replicated multiple times (100ds, and 1000ds of times), that creates "child workspaces" of this workspace.3. Hi There!I am trying to build a resource allocation base for one of my teams. The ask is that a task may have multiple collaborators with varying % daily time required AND availability. How do I account for this in the template?I could theoretically do this on the project level BUT that does not take % daily time required into account. Any thoughts?
