I have a table with 1000 rows containing films information. I have a field called provider, which lists Netflix amazon prime etc. The issue is when a title is on both amazon and Netflix I end up with 2 rows. The provider field has their respective provider names in and the field itself is a multi-select type. What I want is one record but with the provider, field to contain both. Like "Netflix, amazon" How do I go about this? It needs to be a dynamic automation. as when Netflix removes it from their library I want to retain the record but remove just that category. I have views set up filtering by the value of this provider field too. I added the dedupe extension but don't see how to get what I need from it. Thanks 

Hi!I'm trying to create an automation that is applied when a particular field contains today's date.  However, when I apply this condition, it can no longer find any relevant records.  All other conditions are working correctly, my specified field does indeed contain today's date when I check my table, and my Airtable calendar is correctly synched.  Any suggestions out there?Cheers!!John

I had a script configured to generate a task list  on a button trigger based on the one in the Airtable Marketplace that had the settings input. I have moved everyone out of the base and into Interfaces, so the button won't work.I tried to write a new script (and I know nothing about writing code) to run on a status change trigger automation. It runs with no errors, and recognizes the input.config from the input variables I set up in the automation but doesn't actually create the new records. I had a developer friend look at it, but he's not familiar with Airtable, and the suggestions he did make were way over my head. Hello, I'm trying to create a "create record" automation when a new record is added to table A (Seeds); a new linked record is created in table B (Web Archiving_QA). The input data in table A (Seeds) to create the new record is a website URL.The automation is formatted: After successful testing, and turning the automation on. When I input a new URL to create a new record in Table A (seeds), I only get a blank new record in Table B (Web Archiving_QA) But if run the automation with the Test Step section > "Run as configured" I get the correct automation results, meaning the inputed URL in table A shows up as a new record in table B. from in the automation viewlinked URL from table A shows up in the record in table BI run into the same problem when I change the trigger to "When a record enters a view".Why am I only getting the desired results via "Run as Configured"? Thanks!   

i am using a step in an automation that i’m hoping will allow me to add a related record to a field that already has related records in it. the prior steps in the automation are picking out which record i want the script done to. i am brand new to scripting, so i’m guessing it’s something obvious. i got this from the documentation here: Airtable Scripting table.updateRecordAsync(record, { ‘Which trainings?’: [ …record.getCellValue(‘Which trainings?’), { id: newTraining }] }); when i test the step, it says the field “Which trainings?” can’t accept the provided value & when i ask it to show me what it got from the step above, it shows me an empty set. the newTraining value is the record id of the related record i want to add to the field. any help is appreciated!!

I'm working an automation where I need to compare a numerical value(s) within the same column.  When data is imported to Airtable, it is dumped and appended to the base already created.  I need to create an automation that compares all the duplicates, replaces totals(money) and deletes the old data ALL while sending an email notification at the end when this is complete.  Good luck and I could use all the help I can get.

 Hi, warning!  I'm new to Airtable and using the basic tier.I'm trying to create a website that will show different lists depending on the answers submitted in a form. I have created the website in Softr and a Form in Tally. The website connects to the form which now populates a table in Airtable.Users have to answer two questions, each with two options. Eg Answer A or B and then answer C or D.  This gives me four groups: AC AD BC and BD. My Base in Airtable now has a table where the primary field shows the time of submission (I have not collected emails or names) and then what their choices are in two single-select fields.   I want to  post/send/display one of four different possible responses on the website dependent on their answers.   I have tried to create an automation using 4 sets of conditions but have not been able to get the logic correct.  I have selected automations from the source table and then set the trigger to activate when

Hi All,. I am relatively new to Airtable and am hoping for guidance regarding an issue I have encountered. I have a table of riders which I use to record day to day notes and injury information. It is reviewed daily by our Doctor who then decides depending on the injury if the rider should take a break from competing or if they can be cleared immediately to continue . When the Doctor decides that the rider can be cleared I would like to have a button that she clicks which clears the relevant fields but also automatically creates a new record in another table to retain a copy of this information for reporting purposes at the end of the year. The relevant fields are 1) a linked record from another table showing venue incident took place 2) checkbox 3) a single select 4) long text 5) attachmentthanks

Hi, I have created an automation with a 'when condition met' trigger and then update the record. I have a few as the lead's details change. So when they appear in the flow i want to fill some new columns, then when they become a lead, i fill an extra column and then when they're a qualified lead - another column is filled using the automations.Like I said they're all running successfully, within the actual details of the automation, it shows it has filled the new columns correctly but in the actual table the colums are sometimes empty.Any ideas?

I have an automation in a client's base that is triggered by updating the value of a specific field. A few days ago, hundreds of records (but not all of them) had the automation trigger, and it caused some data chaos. Looking at the record history, I can see that no one changed the value of that field. The automation triggered for seemingly no reason. Has this ever happened to you? I have a ticket for support already submitted. Example of a record that was not updated manually, and randomly triggered the automation.  

Hello! Is there a way to use the "When a form is submitted" automation trigger but send different emails based on different responses to the form? We have a single select option and we are looking to send different emails based on which option was chosen. I would just choose the "when a record matches conditions" option but we sometimes change the single select option and I dont want emails sent when that happens, just when the form is submitted. Im happy to use a workaround but dont know exactly what that might look like. Thank you!

I need to create an automation that works between three tables.Whenever a record from table B is linked to a record in table A, I need to create a record in table C that references those two records. If I link multiple records in at the same time, I need to create a new record for each that are linked.So basically, I need to create a record in table C that is [Table B Value]-[Table A Value.]My problem right now is that if I use the "when record updated" condition, it just won't work.If I link multiple records at once I can't pull out the Table B values individually. It ends up just creating one record of all the values.And if I there are multiple values in the table, it pulls them all.If I link[Table B Value]-[Table A Value 1] and [Table A Value 2] simultaneously,I need the automation to create simultaneously in Table C:[Table B Value]-[Table A Value 1] [Table B Value]-[Table A Value 2]Thanks for reading and any help would be appreciated.

Hi, all! Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to convert a script (made for me by someone else - I am not a programmer) to run in an automation? Hello everyoneI have a problem with the history of deleted attachments.I have 2 fields "Attachments" (images): Field A and Field BI have a Make scenario that generates the attachment of field B if the attachment of field A is filled in Airtable. The Field B attachment generated by Make is the same image as the Field A attachment to which the Make scenario adds a watermark and formats the name.>> No problemI have an Airtable automation that if the Field A attachment is deleted, then airtable deletes the Field B attachment.>> No problem eitherIf I delete the existing attachment in field A and put a new attachment in field A (a new image), then first Airtable deletes the attachment in field B (thanks to the Airtable automation) but then in field B instead of having the new image corresponding to the new attachment in field A (sent by Make), Airtable puts the old image in field B.In Make, I can see perfectly that the image sent to Airtable in Field B is the right one. I'm using a script in an automation to try and add a new option to a single select field. As far as I can tell, everything seems setup correctly.
