I am working on an automation with the purpose of sending an email to a person who took a training. The automation is triggered when I add a training type (this is a multiselect option field in my table). On the subject and message of the email, I would like to show the name and training type. However, whenever I add the training type on the message, it shows the entire list of training. I only want to show the one that person just recently took, in this case, it should be the last item of the list of trainings.Can you please help with this? Any workaround?

I have unsuccessfully tried automations, extensions, and Zaps and haven't been able to work out an error free  approach to my challenge. I'm hoping for guidance on how to achieve the following:Import contacts from .csv files and update the linked source field so that the new source is added (and not replace) existing linked records. Contacts Table 1 - email - fname, lname, org, source<linked Table 2>Sources Table 2 - list_name, emails<link to Table 1>  In descriptive language, I go to events where I get lists of people who came by my booth. I want to enter them into a database (contact info) while keeping track of the various times I've interacted with them (source info). I suspected that this was a simple task but I've spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure it out. Guidance (or a straight up answer) is appreciated.   

Hello,I am trying to create an automation that will create junction records when a record for one table ("students") is created.  Basically, I need a series of new record created in the junction table (called "student.weeks") linking the new student record to records in the other table (the "weeks" table). The "students" table has each a record for each student with their course start and end dates.The "weeks" table has all our school's starting dates (which are basically every week through the calendar year).I assume I could use Airtable's "Create Junction Table" script. But, that would just create records for every starting date (in the "weeks" table), without regard for the student's enrolment dates.  I am hoping someone can give me some help with adjusting the code (below), so that I can use it in an automation that triggers when a new student record is added.Here's the code from Airtable's script: 

Hello,I am studying Airtable, and wonder if this can be done.Basically I have a Grid of data in Data. I want to present this data in Interface, either using selected columns or the whole lot of data.I want to add a button to the right of each data row. Clicking on this button will trigger Automations. This automation will bring up a Lightbox (of something similar) so that the user can type in some text. The script will then inject the phone number (one of the columns) from the row selected into the text.The Lightbox will have another button labelled "Send message". Clicking on this button will trigger a curl command and POST something to an external SMS gateway.Is this possible at all?

Hello! I am importing thousands of records from an excel sheet and there is a long text field that contains data that I would like to organize in a single select field. For example, a record may contain "L4_S2" in the long text and I would like to create a single select for "L4_S2" and update every record that has that condition in the long text. I'm trying to do it with automation, but I can only get it to update one specific record and not each record that has the same condition.

Hi, I am building an automation.I have a custom script filtering out records that required filters not possible with the built in find records actions.I set the output to be a JSON object that looks something like this    [ { Record Id: "3197", Full Name: "Test, Name ", State: "" }, { Record Id: "3198", Full Name: "Test, Name2 ", State: "" } ]    I want to then insert this info as a grid or table in an email, but the only options that I have are to display each attribute separately as a list such as RecordsIds = ["3197","3198"]

I want to send invoice details to Xero to create initial Invoice using 3 separate lines. Date being current date. How to do that in Airtable. Please help me, I am very weak in API Calling.

It looks like right now it is not possible to create nested conditions in Automations for the Trigger. For instance, my trigger would say: WHEN… (part 1) AND … (part 2) … OR (part 3a) … OR (part 3b) Either part 3a or 3b will fulfil the point # 3. I know this can be done by adding the OR conditional field (for 3a and 3b) right in the table and then reference the # 3 condition here without using OR statement. Just wanted to confirm this is currently a limitations, correct?

Hi AT Community,Newbie here.Just getting started on creating a db for Contacts (one table)  and linking those contacts to their Certification records via a unique identifier. The certifications each need their own tables which need (we think) separate tables because the certifications have unique fields.Just using dummy data at the moment as we try to figure things out.I've created a link between the contacts and the certification table based on the unique identifier.There are going to be thousands of Contacts and Certifications created when we migrate our data, and  we'd prefer not to have to manually select the newly created records to link the two tables.I've explored setting up an automation, but that appears to only handle one AT record ID at a time(?)

I'm struggling to set up the right combination of forms/tables/automations to get a particular process to work. I'm doing a 3 part survey and each part of the survey is a separate form in Airtable. Surveys are going to be shared in parts and each survey is meant to build off of the previous survey. All the forms are built using what I've labeled "Overview" which contains all the fields which are being used to ask questions between the three forms. What I'm trying to do is have each form roll up dynamically to the overview table without any manual effort from our team. I created linked fields between the tables and have attempted to use those link fields to update records stored from the previous survey. Survey one is a cold survey. So the vendors we're reaching out to would share their information and then be sent to survey two. Hello!I have a large amount of sales records that I need to automatically transfer from an "Ad Chart" tab to another "Production" tab, to be assigned to various designers. I want to be able to check first if a record already exists on the Production tab before the automation creates a new one, to prevent duplicates. I've already tried the "Find Records" action and while it works initially, we simply have too many records for it to check (I've read that the limit is 100 records), so this will not work at scale. Looking through forums and help posts, it seems I would need a script to accomplish the search, but I am wholly unfamiliar with scripting. Any suggestions?  

hi friends! we are an organization that provides online trainings. i have a base with registrations in one table and a unique attendance list in another table. the other table has a list of all the trainings.so the registrations table is all the registrations we received for each training, so that we can see things like: 100 people registered for training X, 80 were approved to attend (either because they were members or they paid), and 70 actually attended. because people attend multiple trainings, this list contains different registrations for the same person.the attendance table is a list of each person who ever attended a training with a related record field that contains all the trainings they attended, linked from the list. that way we can see things like: 300 people attended our trainings last year, person X attended 4 trainings, Y organization sent 4 people to trainings last year.i have an automation set up that after a training happens & we record t

Hey there!I have two tables. One contains projects, and the other contains tasks. I want to update the status of a project (from pre-production to production) when a certain task is checked off. How would I go about doing this? 

I have two tables - one with orders and one with inventory. The workflow I want is that once the order is ticked as received, it would automatically eithera) find the existing item and update the stock level orb) create a new item if the item is new and there is no existing item.I'm focusing on a) now, since it's more complex. I was able to use Find records to find a unique match from the inventory table. Then I created a conditional action, that checks whether the amount of inventory items is exactly one.The action is configured to run and match the record ID of the inventory item found in the previous step. For that record there exists a number field called "Current inventory" that has the value 500. In the order table there is a number field called "Processing amount", which has the value 17.I'm able to update the Current inventory field with the value 500 -> 17, but what I want to do is add these together to get 517. I am confused on Airtable notifications.  What I want:Setup custom automation so that when certain status' change, then a notification can be sent to user(s). The notification should come through in AirTable notifications first and foremost, and email as secondary.  What I am getting:Automation sends email to user, but no internal notification in AirTable. This seems backwards? I want to avoid having to check multiple systems and missing notifications until a user leaves AirTable and goes to check their email. then they have to click each email notification to jump into each separate task/project for followup. Why doesn't the system generate a in-system notification as well as the email? or provide an option for this in the automation actions? Currently users are processing any "@" notifications within AT, then having to close out and go to email to f

Hello! I am trying to split a single record into multiple records in the same cell. I have a column called "Languages" with single records such as "Arabic & French" or "French & Spanish". I'd like to split all this records in such a way that each cell contains two records "Arabic" "French". Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has a solution on how to pull in emails from Gmail so that I know what emails have been exchanged between me and a client?I currently have a Zapier set up to push emails to a table in Airtable, based on a label "toAirtable" in Gmail. Is it possible to do this instead based on the email of the client? I would need to pass in the client's email as a variable but couldn't figure out how to do that. The other challenge I have is, with the current implementation, since the Zapier is set up to push all emails based on a label regardless of which client it is, I now have to link those emails to the client. Is there a way to quickly index a table based on a particular column, or search by field value, without having to iterate over all the records?Thank you ❤️

Hey All,I created a base to keep track of my doctor's appointments (I've recently been trying to see a lot of specialists in a short time while aiming to keep track of pertinent details regarding my visits).I've successfully linked my appointments to Google Calendar, but what I'd like to do (if possible) is on the day before each scheduled doctor's appointment {Email Send Date}, have Airtable update my linked Google Calendar Event with select information (from my Airtable table's fields), specifically my doctor's address, my concerns, notes, and the doctor's phone #. As you'll see in the automation I attempted, my idea was when the record matches the conditions (when "E-mail Send Date" is Today)I wanted to see if I could have Airtable update a Google Calendar Event. ("E-mail Send Date" is a field I've made with a formula listing the date the day before the appointment

I am looking to assign tasks to non-airtable users by sending them via slack. Is there an integration or extension that allows the assignee to complete the task and update the record on my table without actually going on Airtable? It appears Todoist has that sort of feature but I'm not finding anything on Airtable that enables this. Thanks in advance.

Hi Airtable community!Does anyone know if there's an intermediary (like Zapier or Pabbly) that can link Airtable automations to personal Facebook profiles and personal Insta accounts?  As far as I can tell, most seem to only allow posts to Facebook 'Pages' and Insta business accounts.  Thank you!!John
