Hey hey, I have got the following issue. My Airtable links to other apps like Documint, Make.com, NoLoCo etc.Documint for example will use the fields in a table to create a document.However in some cases, when I want to extract the data from the primary field (which is single line text and e.g. "Asset #1") it will not give "Asset #1" as a result but the record ID, e.g. "recnciFjzmZeLA4DY". What do I need to change? I have the same issues when Make.com extracts the data. Best regards,jan 

Hey everyone. I have an automation setup where it emails me anytime a record has been edited or updated within a base of mine. This is great, but I don't know which record or field has been updated so it's hard to figure that part out without created a seperate automation for each field and each record. Any suggestions how the email notification I get sent would alos include which record and which fields were changed that triggered the notification?  

Hi,In our base we have multiple Proposals in one table against each linked Sales Opportunity in another table. One Proposal will be the Primary Proposal and any others will be Secondary. This is done by selecting Primary or Secondary as a single select.If a Secondary Proposal is changed to Primary, I'd like any other Proposals linked to this Opportunity to automatically be changed to Secondary, to avoid there being multiple Primaries.Is there a way to automate this?Many thanks

Hello! In my zap, one of the steps is to find a record in Airtable, based on multi-condition search formula.  The problem is, that recently, despite testing okay in the zapier editor, the data out of this step is unexpected (one long string, no individual values).   I'd previously had a column with linked records in my table, and thought that was causing the weird output, but after deleting it, the issue remains. Also, the _zap_search_was_found_status: is true, which means my zap continues to run with empty values &#128542

I would like to know who attended which trainings, get feedback on participation, etc....Each training is managed independently by a different team, with different constraints.What I have set up :I created a "CONTACT" database with all contacts in a shared table "PEOPLE ".Each project has its own database "PROJECT1", "PROJECT2", etc... I connected the shared table "PEOPLE" in each project database, to retrieve the data of the persons (email, tel). This table is read-only in this database. I add data for each person: "grades obtained, participation, etc...). For now, at the end of the project, I copy the important data of the project (grades, certificates) in the main table "PEOPLE".But obviously this is not ideal.My needIs there a simple way to automatically retrieve some

Hello there. I've hit a brick wall with an automation I'm trying to build. I was hoping to use an interface button to identify all records in a table with an unchecked box within a particular field and then check all of those boxes. I have created an automation where the trigger will be the button, and have then added the "Find Records" action where the condition is all records with an unchecked box. That part runs fine in testing. It all falls apart when I try to update records using the list of Airtable record IDs generated by the previous step and then ask the automation to check the relevant field box of all matching records. Can anyone assist please? 

Hi everyone,I'm currently working on designing a maintenance form for my clients.The maintenance form looks something like this, very simple.But how can I automatically populate the values of other fields after selecting a value in a particular field?For example, if I choose "Assignee A" from the Assignee field can I automatically fill in the Facility and Equipment Type that are assigned to Assignee A? In concept, I will create a table that associates an Assignee with the Facilities and Equipment Types they are responsible for. The person filling out the maintenance form will only need to select the Assignee, and the system will automatically populate the other information.Thank you for your kindly supports!

I used zapier to automatically fill multiselect column. but unlike as I expected, result of zapier goes into one block. not seperated. I think this was caused by double quotes issue, but i don't know how to solve this.I want to make result as second or third rows. however result comes like first row.

Hey All,Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm having a ridiculous amount of trouble. To replicate the same problem I'm having, I'm creating an automation in which I would like to make it so when a record is created in the Test Base table, it automatically ports that name over to the Students' Test Names table. As you'll see, Airtable says the automation ran, but it only pulls in the new REC ID of the record that's been created and not the Student's Name, despite the fact that I think I mapped both, and the "result" shows that it has added the associated student's name, as well as the REC ID. Any thoughts? Thanks.    

Hey there, I'm working on an automation to create a record and one of the fields I'm using for this automation is a long text field. In the Data tab, I've enabled this field to have rich text formatting, which works great in the Data tab! However, in the Automation tab, I'm trying to copy and paste from another Airtable base (I've also tried a Google Doc) that has line breaks and bullet formatting. When pasted into the automation, it strips all of the formatting. I have an email automation running every day at a specific time.Is it possible with airtable to match the time the email is send to different timezones?Eg. the same e-mail is send at 2pm CET and 2pm ACT, etc Thanks  

My team has created an Airtable base that can keep track of everyone participating in our diversity program, and we’ve set it up to allow people to update their participation records using forms as they attend trainings for credit. Is there a way to let people update their attendance records using forms that doesn’t eliminate the previous record of what they had already attended?For example: John Doe has a record in the “participant progress” table. When he completes “Training 1”, he submits a form and Training 1 appears on his record. But the next time he attends something (e.g. “Training 2”) and submits the form, how can we have it ADD Training 2 alongside Training 1 instead of overwriting it?

Hi, I would like to add +1 to a #Number column to a dedicated Name line in one table as soon as a record is created in another table including the same name. Hi community, I have a question related to the taggin proces. I recently uploaded a lot of data in Airtable and I have defined tags. Now I want to create an automation (with script probably) which is able to search in the description and compare with the predifined tags. If there is a match I want that tag to appear in the column "tags".I saw a discussion which somehow was related but not spcifically with matching the description and predefined tags. Is somebody able to help me? I am not a technical spcialist so hopefully it is not too difficult...Thanks!

I have a schedule I am using Airtable for. Each Day of the Week and Associated time has an ID (ex. All Mondays at 4 = 1)I have the ability for people to fill out a form and request a timeslot, but they may want the timeslot for the entirety of the season which I allow them to request. I have an automation that looks at the form request, sees that they are requesting all season and gets the ID and then finds all the other timeslots for the following weeks with that ID. I would then like to update each of those records with the person requesting so it is removed from the list and on the main calendar as booked. Any ideas on how to do this? Also made me think of an amazing feature that would be the ability to dynamically update a Views based on something automated Filter so you can then set automation of anything entering that view.

Hello everyone 🙂I work for a school and some workshops are made in groups of students.For instance, I need the 6 people from the Thursday, 11am slot to receive the same e-mail, visible e-mails in the "To:" field, and to Cc their trainer.Is there a way to select the e-mail addresses from the group meeting these criterias (day, hour) and send the same e-mail to all of them instead of sending individual e-mails?My idea is to do a concatenate formula to blend all addresses, but I'm not sure how to do it, and I'm afraid it would send multiple times the same e-mail...🤯Thanks a ton for your help!

Hi All,I am currently working through learning the Automations section of AT and it's really cool so far.However when I've come to 'connect' to my Twitter account then it fails or . . . something, not sure exactly what.Here is the dialog that finally returns after I have selected 'Connect New Twitter Account'It appears to be working ok, it goes in and I can see Twitter in the background albeit greyed out, then it comes back to this screen.And of course I press 'Sign In' (several times) and it just returns to this same page.I have tried closing it all starting again, logging into Twitter in advance, not logging in..... none of it seems to have any success...Any tips, solutions or just plain good old advice appreciated.Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my question 🙂  

I have an automation that emails the count of records that match certain criteria. This often results in emails that indicate there are 0 records for consideration. I’d like to only fire this automation (or send the email) if there matched records are >0. Is this possible using the new conditional automations, or via scripting? Thanks, Andy.

Seems like it should be relatively simple, all I want to do is use a button from an interface to add 1 to a number field in my tableI'm using the button linked to an automation and here's what it looks like:And this is using a dynamic update:But here's what happens when I test this:So I guess it's the wrong format, and I can't find any documentation on formatting for this. Seems like I can't even add two fields together.So how would you do this?
