Hi, I built an automation that uses the “when sheets row is created” trigger. Until about 9:30 am today (8/4), the automation was working as intended without prompting from a human. However, now the automation does not automatically trigger when a new row is created with the same format that was working previously. I’ve tested each individual step including the trigger which, when tested, returns the values of the newest row. I’m pretty sure that the issue is that the trigger is not checking the assigned sheet automatically, though I am not 100% sure. Does anybody have ideas for something to fix the issue? Any help would be very appreciated.

I’m a little bit lost on this one and hoping for some help from the community. I’ve been using this automation without issue for months, but recently something changed and now it’s throwing me an error. (I’m guessing something updated on Airtables end). I have an automation which runs whenever a customers record is updated (which includes a rollup field of their orders). I then run a script to take the customers linked order records and sort them, so that newest orders show at the top. Up until this point, everything is working as expected, and the output of the script is a sorted list of the linked record ‘names’ (which in this case are Order ID’s, like 12345). The next step, ‘Update a record’ is where I’m now getting the error everytime this automation runs. It should (as before) take the output of the script and update the linked ‘Orders’ field in the customer record that changed, triggering the automation. That’s all it does, not changing any other fields.

Hey everyone! Today we had an issue where a few of our automations started failing due to all of our “Link to _” fields breaking. We have been using these fields as a main link between tables, and they have all started failing with the same error: Field “_ ID” cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field. Does anybody have any idea what might have happened? This all started happening around 1:30pm EDT today, and it is not just one table, but at least 4 or 5 tables. Any insight into what might have happened would be very much appreciated. It is a very big workflow issue for our company as this drives a lot of what we work on a daily basis. Thank you!

Hi! Do you know if there is a limit for automate Slack or Email messages?

I’ve set up automations where I receive an email everytime a new record enters a base. They were working totally fine but for some reason I stopped receiving emails. I checked my spam and nothing. I tried changing the email address and it seems to be working for a different email address but not for my normal work email. Any idea on how I can resolve this?

Hi there, I’m using Airtables automation to output an email report for managers. I have a webhook that is meant to create new records on a table. Some records have new values for a singleSelect type field. I tried to create a function (code bellow) to provision new options but it fails with “Error: Cannot update field config from scripting automation”. Without the field my await table.updateRecordAsync also fails if I pass text to this singleSelect field. Is there a way to trigger an automation when a record is removed from a view? I know there is one from when a record enter a view, but I need the opposite and my random tests have not been working!

Hello, I have a problem with automation trigger on update. I have configured update trigger on 3 fields: features, nextfeature, scripts. Hello all – I’m working on an airtable base which will run an application process for organizations. I have one table called “Organizations” which includes info about organizations (ones that have applied and ones that haven’t) and another table called “Applications” which feeds from a Typeform which applicants fill out. In simple terms here’s what I’d like to happen…check for matches, update matched records, create new record if there isn’t a match. Here’s what I want in more detail: Script runs and checks for matches between the Organization table and the Applications table. A match is a record in the Organization table with the same name as in the Application table. For records that match across both tables I’d like to update the Organization table to reflect that the matched organization has an application in the Applications table. Hi Is it possible to edit the fields selected fields in the digest (ie add/remove) when creating an HTML Grid. All I seem to be able to do is start a new one which is a pain if I want to add extra fields. Also, as a seperate question, is it possible to copy/paste parts of one automation to another? Hi there We have a pro account and I have a simple approval for set up that when someone submits me an idea on a form, they can add their email address if they would like an emailed update as to the approval status of that idea. But, when I put that e-mail address in the “To” Field I just keep getting told the e-mail field is blank - despite me having made sure there are no blank fields on the table. Is this fixable or can the automation only send to a set email address and not one from the table itself? As stated, we have a pro account so it should not be the e-mail address itself that is causing the problem. Thanks Shaun

I have been digging around the forums for an answer to this, and wondering if someone can help me with a creative solution here or point me to a similar problem. I am trying to set out a work flow that is automated, and checked off when a new “Student Note” is submitted” So here is the flow: If “Services” = “1 qEEG”, the flow should be as follows: qEEG 1 Report1 ROF1 Finished If “services” = Pre & Post” or “4 Part” qEEG 1 Report1 ROF1 qEEG 2 Report2 ROF2 Finished So for example, if someone submits a “Student Note” as “qEEG 1”, I want the status to read “Report 1”. But if there is also a note that says “qEEG 2”, I want that to read “Report 2”. I’m working on building an automation in Airtable that alerts a specific Teams chat member that something has occurred. I’ve found MS documentation about using the tag to format a mention for a bot, but I can’t seem to get the mention to actually work in the automated message. Every combination I try just ends up as a plain text representation of what I put between the tag, but I know the automation can read tags properly because it’s properly formatting a hyperlink I’ve added to the message using <a href " "> I’ve tried (with and without the @ symbols included): <at>@ First Last</at> <at>@First Last</at> <at>@FirstLast</at> <at>@ FirstLast</at> <at>@emailaddress@domain.com</at> …and probably some other combinations of email address, the person’s name, and the @ symbol. Hi We have an Automation that sends a reminder email when a record enters a view which is done on a date basis. Is it possible to get these to come in at a specific time, say 10.00, rather than at 01.44 (we are based in the UK). As they get lost in other overnight emails when people come into work. Hello all, I found the “Create child linked records” script and it does exactly what I need to do, but I want to trigger it from within an automation, and instead of entering the number of child records, pull that information in from the input.config() from the trigger of the automation. I have a parent table called “ListInfo” and a child table called “List”. The primary key of the of the parent table is a field called “ListName”. The child table has a linked field also called “ListName”. I would like this automation to create the “ListSize” number of child records in the child table each time a record in the parent table is created and meets the triggering conditions of the automation (the “ListName” is not empty, the “ListSize” is not empty and the record was created today) . My input variables for the automation are “parentRecord”

Is there any way to create an automation or something that would allow me to push a button in AirTable and it would change the content /value of another field? Example: Field 1 - Record title. HI people, I work on a booking system for workout coach They have differents mensual subcriptions plans for 4 to 8 sessions I need to follow the number of session of each subscriber based on the plan they choose (up to 4 or 8) So i have 1 table to follow the mensual subcriptions And 1 table to follow the booking of the sessions. I think to follow the number of sessions booking by each subscribers, i created a 3rd table based on the mails using for the booking. For that I make a link to another record field of the booking session and a rollup to count each time the mail appear (in the same cell). When i add mail manualy in the link to another record cell it’s okay But i want to automat this action but I still can’t find to do this I tried Integromat and Airtable Script, that add data in the next line (cf: screenshot) Can you help me ?

Hello people, My goal is to use sweet airtable to store the data from my psychology experiment. I would like to create 5 table (Metrics, 1-4 experiment). Each experiment needs to contain a lot of fields. Data schema is -probe[i]-id -probe[i]-feature1 -probe[i]-feature2 -probe[i]-feature3 -probe[i]-feature4 Each experiment will have i === 192 which means I need to create 960 fields. I was searching for script to do it automatically, however I did not find per-defined one. I found this site (Airtable Blocks SDK), however I have not clue how to get is going (tried automation, apps). Im not sure, if the tool is not suitable for the task or my programming skills are not suitable for the tool. I would be grateful, once I will get advice how to overcome the problem. Cheers

Hello. I am trying to automate linking one record in one table to several records in another table. I have one table called ‘Payments’ and another called ‘Entries’. Each payment is for several entries. Once a record is created in Payments I need that to trigger an automation that first finds all the records in Entries associated with that payment (I have these as a list, separated by a comma, in a single line text field in the payment record) and then update those records to link them to the payment. Is this possible? So many thanks to anyone who can help!
