I am trying to group my line items by campaign but whenever I create a new campaign name, it automatically generates a new line item with just that campaign title in my empty/null cells section. If I try to delete that line item, the entire campaign gets deleted and my cells become ungrouped. For example, if I link my calls called “Apple”, “Blood”, and “Clifford” to a campaign called “Red”, they are grouped together but the system also generates a line item called “Red” that appears in the null cells box and it won’t let me delete it without it automatically deleting and ungrouping Apple, Clifford and Blood.

Hello, With an Airtable apps, I generated QR codes in order to label the products in my stock and improve my follow-up. So, I need to print them on label sheets, but I don’t know how to do it (one QR code in x copy per sheet) Can you help me please? Which third-party tool to use (word, google docs or other)? How to send the information? Thank you in advance

I’ve been experimenting with the Airtable - Hootsuite automations. I’ve been able to schedule posts for Twitter and Facebook. I haven’t been able to schedule Pinterest pins. Has anyone been able to schedule a Pinterest Pin using Airtable’s Hootsuite integration? There doesn’t seem to be a way to specify the board a pin should be posted to. I’m guessing that’s why I am having trouble scheduling my pins. Thank you.

I don’t know how to officially request a feature, but I think it would be grand if I could move automations around in the list, rather than have them listed in the order they were created. This would make organizing long lists of automations much easier! While I’m at it, can we also get a “duplicate automation” button or a copy/paste? I often have to create several automations that are *slightly* different and being able to duplicate or copy/paste would save time.

I am building a somewhat advanced Base. Base functions “live” in Beta-mode. However, any tinkering with proposed changes is done on identical copy of this Base, the one in “Test Mode”. Question 1: is there an easy way to move/copy an automation from Test to Live ? Currently we resort to copying Automations “by hand”. Question 2: is there a way to convert a created Automation to Script? without writing out the script ?Then I would just copy/paste the script with minor edits

I created an automation to trigger when I change a Status in one of the field. I tested the with old mail id. It was working fine. I tested with my new official mail id. It was working fine. When I switched on the automation, out of 300 records, only 100 successfully triggered. Rest of it failed… I am getting this message in reason for failure. “This automation is no longer authorized to use the configured Gmail account. Please select a new Gmail account for this step.” I again Tested it with one record. Its working. Kindly help. Bala

I’m using Airtable to send personalised emails trough gmail with zapier. I used to fill one field with all the text of the email formatted in html. I was getting the field number from zapier options. It was looking like this : {{71809321__Name}} Zapier no longer give the option to get the number of a field, but only automated picking of a field. Do someone know who to get this code number ? Dear Community, I am thrilled about the automations but I am banging my head against a wall when it comes to date feilds and I am hopeing you all can be of assistance. I have two Bases, one for Orders Details and one for Order Fullfilment. The Order Fulfillment base has a synced table pulling the orders in from Order Details. The Orders have delivery dates attached to them. Deliveries go out each day on one truck and there is data that I want to collect for each delivery date, so I have created a table in Order Fulfillment to list each Delivery and the primary field is Date. I then linked the Delivry table to the Orders table. I then tried to create Automations so that when a new record is created (or updated) in the Order table, the Delivery Date feild would automatically populate the Linked field to the Deliveries…thus either linking the Order to that date’s Delivery record or, creating a new Delivery record because there is not yet a Delivery record for that date. I have STARTTIME, DURATION,CALCULATEDENDTIME and ENDTIME fields. After entering values for STARTTIME and DURATION, the CALCULATEDENDTIME adds the two. My automation is setup to trigger when a value is entered into DURATION, and copy CALCULATEDENDTIME to ENDTIME . Here is the problem: automation does not read the complete data entry, just it’s first typed digit!!! The CALCULATEDENDTIME does the DATEADD with each digit I type- ONE DIGIT AT A TIME!!!, and automation thinks I’m done. Example-if my STARTTIME is 12:00 and DURATION is ‘60’ minutes: CALCULATEDENDTIME changes to 12:06 immediately upon typing the first digit of the DURATION (the ‘6’), the automation then triggers and assumes the CALCULATEDENDTIME is complete. I continue typing the DURATION (‘0’), but the trigger is already executed. Any suggestions to have it work with the complete entry?

I have an issue that was working fine up until today and for the life of me I can not figure out what broke. I have a table of dates I have a table of events I have a table of games played at events When a game is added to an event I create a new record of it in my game list to get the Game + Date of Event so I know when it was played. Previous I was then able to copy the date from the event into the date column via automation but as of today it keeps telling me that the link can’t accept the format. So you are clear the first column of the Date table is the date field and what I am trying to copy in is a date field. Also this worked fine up until today

I am trying to set up an automation to change the status of a project from “currently active” to “past” if the date entered in the end date field is before today. Yet when I create a new record with an end date in the future, the automation I’ve currently set up still changes the status to past and I have to manually change it back to currently active. I have turned off the automation for now until I can figure out what’s wrong, but would appreciate help figuring out why it’s not working correctly. Here are my parameters in the attached images. Update: I’ve determined there’s a difference in how the automation responds based on whether I start manually typing in an end date, or whether I use the field’s calendar to click ahead to the date and select it directly. I have a linked field value in a base that’s populated by an automation - basically it’s copy pasting from a google sheet and important industry values, and I need to map these to our internal values. So I have a value that comes in like “Energy, Chemical, and Utilities”. My linked field is set up so as to not allow lining to multiple fields, and yet when this value comes through instead of being linked to one field my value is suddenly being linked to 3 new fields - Energy - Chemical - and Utilities. I need a simple fix here! I know I can use a substitue formula + a copy paste automation, but that seems like a A LOT for what should be the behaviour I set up for, no linking to multiple fields! If you can suggest a script that I can check out, or an automation, I would rather not have several too many fields to solve this. Thanks!

Hey all, I’ve run into an interesting problem with AirTable. I have an automation script thats finds all records from today and emails those records with the “Render as HTML Grid” option. Some field values are truncated, and I couldn’t find a way to affect the row size or CSS rules that are causing this to happen. For example: For example, there’s a parent <div> that wraps the table enforcing a max-width of 1000px (and overflow-x: auto!) and inside of each <td> element, there’s rules for a max-width of 250px and overflow: hidden. Hi, I have an automation set up to post in slack when a new record is created. When I test the automation, it posts correctly, but when I set the automation live and manually create a new record it does not post. I updated the automation this morning to use the new Form Submitted feature (which is really what we wanted originally) but the same issue occurs: the testing posts, but it does not work when live and a User submits a form. Any thoughts?

Hello! I’m trying to use Airtable Automation to publish a tweet every time there are new records that match some conditions. It was working well when I was testing it last week until today, when I received a Twitter error. Screenshot of the error: The problem is that I don’t receive any other information. Could you help me discover what is happening? (BTW, first I had a problem when publishing a tweet with an image (it was a correct image but it said incorrect size). But after removing the image from the record I received this other error. Thanks!

Can automations be programed to send to outside emails that are not current users of airtable?

Hi! I’m trying to find a way to automate the creation of timeslots between a start date/time and end date/time. I have an employer using my platform that needs to create x number of slots with y duration on a given day, without having to manually create each timeslots record. This employer doesn’t have direct access to the Airtable base, and I’m trying to find a solution where I don’t have to do it manually for them. I’ve looked through some of the apps and scripts already on the system, but I haven’t found anything useful yet. Any resources or ideas that you think I should look at? Thanks! Sean

Hi all! I’m developing a script that triggers when a new row is added to a table (it makes HTTP call to retrieve more data, and add to the missing columns). I’m currently using “When record is created” as a trigger, and it works well in cases where the entire row is added to the table at the same time through other automations, or copy-paste. My problem is with written inputs. So if a user writes the data manually, the script triggers too soon, before all the columns are filled in, thus with only partial inputs to my HTTP call. What’s the best way to overcome this? Intuitive I thought the trigger would work so that when a user is adding the row, it fires only when the focus goes away from the added row. Hi. I’ve been racking my brain for hours with something that was supposed to be simple. I have a tab called “customers” with my customers’ name and phone number. on this tab there are two columns that are the registration and name of the last barber who attended them. The calls are registered in the “Schedules” tab I would like that with each new appointment, the registration and name of the last barber who made the service to be changed. The common key between the two tables is the customer’s phone number. Can someone help me ?

Help please! I created a ‘Create Record’ automation with the following trigger: When a record matches conditions in table 1, it creates a record in table 4. (Works Fine) The problem is with the record it CREATES in table 4. It’s doing exactly what I want when it runs the test, but when I create a NEW record in table 1 that matches the conditions (triggering the action of creating the record in table 4), it’s filling in the field in table 4 with ONLY the first letter of the word(s) it’s supposed to be inserting. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong :weary: Any help is so appreciated!!!

Hi! I’m trying to set up an automation where when a new record is created in an “Events” table, a script runs that checks whether the event participants are already scheduled for other events at the same time. I know that both @Kamille_Parks and @Jeremy_Oglesby have created scripts that fulfill this requirement (great job by the way!), both of which can be used in the Scripts App, but since both of them require inputs and output tables/headings, they don’t play well with scripts in Automations. Has anyone adapted these scripts to work within an Automation? This would be an amazing feature to have, as it could run in the background whenever someone submits a form for a new event.
