I posted in the ideas about my desire to have Page Designer integrated with the Interface Designer. I would like the employees at my company to be able to work within the Interface and generate letters for our clients through PDFs that are exported to the desktop.I know there are so many third party solutions to document generation, but I was wondering if it is possible to create a script that would be activated by a button in the interface to generate a letter that will save to the users desktop using one of the third party solutions.A click to download letter button.   

Hello!I am trying to create a way to track our recruitment conversion rates (for a large program where participants apply to be part of). I know it should be possible, but not sure how to configure it all. Here are the key elements:We have an existing airtable base where all prospective program participants apply via a form. A required field as part of the application form is "how did you hear about our program." Hoping someone smarter than me can helpI am looking to update a dropdown menu (to show a quote is accepted) on Airtable when a user approves a quote on our quoting software (Quotient)I am using a quoting software called Quotient, works with Zapier, I am successfully done the 'trigger > find record > but I cannot find how to update a dropdown.The record is found based on the same unique text in Quotient which marries up to the unique customer reference in Airtable.I've added some screenshots which may help to understand

I've created a button that links to a script. The script duplicates the line where the button sits and duplicates linked records housed in another table. However, the script crashes seven out of ten times. Is there any way to mitigate this? Is it my internet connection? I'm tearing my hair out as it's almost quicker to manually go around all tables and duplicate records and wire them back up by hand 😧

Hello,I am building a project management tool and want to send daily messages to the users on late tasks, upcoming etc...to do so, I have created my automation as follow: The idea is to run automation everyday, look for all users from a table 'participants', and for each one of them search for late tasks assigned to them. Generate an email and send it to each recipient. (I don't want to generate 1 email per late task.... too many messages)This works great as is, except that if there is nothing late in the queue for a user, he will still get an email with an empty table...anybody has a solution to add a condition on this automation?thanks!

I have a table of worklist items that are assigned to users. I want to create an automation that once triggered will execute the "find records" and would go through the distinct list of users that have open tasks.  Open tasks I can do with a filter, but how do I work it out such that if Joe has 3 tasks, the action only executes once for Joe?I tried the group but it didn't seem to do the trick (unless I'm doing it incorrectly). I could just do it all in a script, but I'd rather use the no-code tools to drive the automation. Thanks.

Hi! So, I tried an automation to send an email to some designated people from a list on Table 2 when a record enters a view on Table 1. The users are coming from a linked record from T1 to T2, but when I configured the automation, the system apparently didn't read the emails are emails so, so it failed to send anything. Am I missing something on how to do it?  Background: All of the users are Airtable users but they don't have access to the email accounts linked to those emails.

I have tried the scripting route, but it asks for installation of node.js libraries. I'm exploring ways to automatically assign a publish date based on a rolling schedule I can pre-set. I'm looking to avoid manually setting dates and want the system to add content to the schedule automatically. I'm not sure if I need to create a formula for this or another table to reference back to. Hello.Very new to Airtable. I am a designer working with a marketer for an events org. We are using Aritable to manage all our projects. I need a unique number for all the projects and am wondering if it's possible to auto number across multiple tables in a base, as that is how she is going to organize (tab for brochures, tab for print ads, etc.)I also would like an alpha prefix because we will have another base for another events org that we work on simultaneously.Ideally, I would like to have all projects in both bases just be auto assigned a unique number, but I don't know if that is possible either.Thanks for any help!

Hi, I am having trouble creating an automation to update a record in a table. When I try to set up the "Find Record" step, I'm getting an error that "cannot assign list of string to string" and I don't know how to proceed or how to fix my data set up in order for the automation to work.The issue (I think) is that in the table I'm trying to update has a linked field which is the unique identifier I need for the automation to find the value I want to add to the table I am updating.  I'll try to explain the data structure and what I'm trying to do. Table 1: ContractsTable 2: Contract Items (this is a list of "products" that are associated/organized with Contracts for clients in Table 1)Table 3: Books (this has an association with Contracts (from Table 1) to a book). One book can have several contracts. One contract can have several books. Table 4: Results (Products from Table 2 is the primary organizing principle for this table, and this is the one I am trying to updat

Is it possible to delay an action from happening? I really like Slack notifications for new records, but I’d like the action to wait say, 1 minute after the record is created so that I can finish adding all of the fields. Is that possible?

I have a date field that contains "2020-11-26" and another field of type selection. I would like to put the date "2020-11-26" in the selection field by transforming it into "26/11/2024". How can I do this?

I am creating an automation script in transferring data from a source table to a target table. The source contains AI generated responses so everything is in text. I have 4 fields in the target table as single-select fields and I found out that the error I am getting is for those fields. Here's the code below. In the Change Request form I've created, users can enter information about a change request -- item, change type, notes, screenshots, etc -- and then they can use a multiple select dropdown to choose up to four Regions where the changes should apply.I'm using a Repeating group to cycle through the Regions input to create a separate record for each Region. 4 Regions chosen, 4 rows, 3 Regions chosen, 3 rows, etc. Beautiful! The trouble is, it also creates a single row with ALL 4 or ALL 3 regions etc on it. How do I stop that?

I need my company logo to appear in every record in a table so that I can have it appear on the sales brochure I create in extensions (unless someone can explain how to do this using the static element there but I can't find a way to attach it there).Is there a way (possibly an automation?) to have that field auto-fill with the attachment whenever a new record is created? Thank you

I'm trying to connect MS Power Automate to Airtable. A lot of info seems to be stale out there. I have this flow, which parses data. I found this step HTTP Webhook. I'm hoping to make this a trigger for an Airtable automation. However, when I run the flow, it gives me a bad request error at this step.Does anyone know if this is possible to set up like this?  

Hello, I would like someone to help me. I have a date field that I want to change the format of in order to include it in an automation that sends an email informing about the appointment date. To format the date that appears in the email, I created a formula field and an automation so that the date (which is of the "date" field type) is converted into a more user-friendly format. However, when I link the email content with the formula field, it’s not retrieving the date. So, I created a new automation to transfer this date to a text field, but when I do that, the text field throws an error. I am attaching screenshots of everything. 

Hi all I want to send out weekly email notifications to all my customers which shows only the records (orders) which relates to them (i.e. I dont want to show one customer someone elses orders and ) and where status of the order is NOT complete and ETD (date or formula) is on or before the last day of the current month.The records (orders) are found in my order line items table with the information (quantity dispatches, quantity remaining, ETD,  etc)I have a 'look up' customer email address field in this table so I would think this is how this could work? Note that my customers and suppliers both sit in the same table called 'Locations'I also want this to be in one automation (i.e. I dont want to create an automation per customer) so is there a way to send out to all customers? Any suggestions @TheTimeSavingCo @kuovonne ?Thank you!

Hi all As per my screenshot below, I have a filter for orders with an ETD (estimated time departure) on or before the last day of the current month. On the first day of each month i currently manually update this. How can I set up an automation that occurs on the first day of each month that updates 'exact date' to the last day of each month? e.g. 30th sepertember today so 1st October should update filter with exact date to 31st October.@kuovonne @TheTimeSavingCo - let me know if you guys have any suggestions too please? My base has a field formatted for URLs. When I use automation to send the URL for a given record, how do I make that reference a clickable link in the email? It looks like I should be able to do that with Markdown, but I haven’t figured out the details. Thanks in advance!

I need to send a gmail via an automation that I need to format the body with a script as there's a lot of data I need to collate and format.  Is it possible to have a step that runs a script (I have a team acct), populates a long edit text on a record as a formatted email body, with urls etc, then on the next step of the automation gmail that field?It seems like it'd be "yes", and I'm going to try it out tonight, but if there are any warnings or cautions anyone has to offer, I'd love to hear it.Thanks.JeffEDIT:  As I was working on this adding the long text field to my table, it got me thinking that I might just create a new table called "gmail" that I populate with all the particulars, and then have a separate automation that sends those gmails out and updates the row with the status and date/time sent.  Nuts?
