Hi everyone. I am trying to set up an automation where when a diagnosis field for a trip in one table is updated it finds the corresponding person (that is connected) in another table and updates a diagnosis field in that table where only different diagnosis is entered. Attached is what I have started. It doesn't run. I tried adding a find records step but couldn't configure the condition (screen grab also attached). Suggestions please!

Hoping someone here has the missing piece. Goal: In an Airtable form when selecting the Other option to a pre-defined list of options, and entering a single line text for that option, that text then presents in the original table with the other pre-defined options for future selecting. I have:Table 1 that populates via a form built in Form View. The form asks for the submitters State.Multiple tables that are predefined lists of Group names based on State. For example one table is all CA group names, another all MA group names, etc. Each table has an Other option.In the form when someone selects a state, the respective table of their state's Group options presents. Hi,Our process includes creating hundreds of Google Drive folders for client sharing during a year. This is now done manually, and I am looking at automating it if possible. Ideally a trigger in Airtable would the use some information identifying the client, create a Google Drive folder, make the access "Anyone with the link", fetch that link back to Airtable, and send out an email to the client.Alternatively, Airtable would be watching a specified Google Drive directory for creation of new directories, then initiate the process of changing access and pushing the link to Airtable.Any ideas?Rgds,BjörnPS. Hi,We need to collect longer testimonials (round one A4) from hundreds of clients during a year, process them (re-write and polish before publishing) and have the clients approve the edits.Ideally I would just create fields for this in Airtable (draft -> approve button -> final -> published), but to my understanding Airtable doesn't allow free user to edit anything sent out form the base. And forms are made to be one-to-many, not enabling a form per client to be sent out, non?We use Google Sheets so I somehow vaguely think this should be doable with some creative Sheets integrations, but I can't envision it concretely.Anybody out there who could see this clearly, what would be the elegant and robust way to do it?BjörnPS. Hi. I'm new to airtable, but I have a background as an ERP developer. I'm doing baby steps on my application to see if I can get airtable to help me manage a member-run makerspace. Currently I do it with excel and google forms. Hopefully this is something easy to do with an automation, but I'm very green at present.I have google sheet that gets filled in each time a person fills out a google form, including their photo that is stored as a url to a google doc folder.  When I import the data from this google sheet, I can assign it as a url, but is there a way with an automation to take the URL and add it to the record as an attachment?  The end result is that I want to be able to send out a form to the board members to approve, along with the photo of the applicant, if they submit one. Currently I can do this in google forms, notifying the board via an email, but this is the first step of converting our system to airtable.Thanks in advance.Jeff

Hi, I'm setting up an automation so that a webhook from another app (Instantly) triggers it. Webhook contains 'email', 'label' and other values. The goal is - when LABEL is added, it should create a record or update the existing one.I want to set up the following but so far failed:- After the trigger of adding a label...- If a record with the same 'email' field doesn't exist - create a new record.- If a record with the same 'email' field exists - update the record and its label but DON'T replace the old label - just add the new one in the same field with the old one (multi select)-----I think I managed to set up the updating part (pic below) but I don't know how to prevent overwriting the 'label' field when the record with the same email exists.Any ideas?Thanks! 

I have 2 automations that takes ~2500 new records. The first one clears the link field and links them to their matching records in another table. The second takes all of the ones that failed in the first automation(these failures are due to the imported list having items that dont match up cleanly and need to check another field) and ADDs them to the link field.These work >95% of the time. My issue occurs because so many automations run at the same time and some of these records need to link to the same record in the second table. This causes them to overwrite each other. I would like to find a way to slow this automation down and have it run in chunks or even 1by1 since it doesn't take too long per record. Does anyone have any ideas on how to trickle this automation or break it up into chunks?

Hey guys,I'm totally new to Airtable and just trying to find my way around. I am or was a private Notion user for a long time, but was looking for a DSGVO-safe alternative with end-to-end encryption for a simple database or customer overview. Currently, however, I can not yet implement the idea, which I have in mind. I imagine the following scenario:I have a "customer database" where I can store all customers with name, address and contact details. The respective customers I can assign a "tour", that would be either tour 1,2 or tour 3. Tours because I drive out food and have 3 different tours, on which different customers are waiting for me.It also happens that a customer appears several times a week in the same tour. I would like now that I have created in addition to the "customer database" 3 times the respective tour as a calendar view. In the calendar view I would then like to assign the customers from the customer database to the respective delivery date.

Table A is a list of customers and each item they bought. I have a Table B where every time a new customer is added to Table A the customer name and a few other columns are added to Table B. If a customer buys something but the customer name already exists in Table B then nothing happens. Feel like this should be easy but can't figure it out...    

I run a research lab. I'm setting up Airtable to manage purchase requests and inventory. I have two tables:1. Purchase Catalog, with fields 'Item' and 'Current Stock'2. Order Line Items, with relevant fields fields "Quantity' and 'Status'. 'Order Line Items' is a table that represent specific instances of wanting to puchase something. Purchase Catalog represents different items one would purchase. The two tables are linked. When we received an item, I will change the status in 'Order Line Items' to 'Received', at which point, I want the field 'Quantity' (from Order Line Items) to add to the value in field 'Current Stock' (from Purchase Catalog). I asked ChatGPT to make me a script and it looks like it would work but it's not doing anything to change 'Current Stock'. Could someone help me figure out how to do what I'm seeking?

Hi,I set up an automation to create some events in an Airtable table in my Google Calendar (Google Calendar action). This was easy. But I can't figure out how to use the Google Calendar Update action to delete an entry.Since it in the automation says "Leaving selected fields blank will unset them", I tried to update the start/end times with empty fields, but that was impossible. After manually deleting any setting in the automation field, Airtable "repaired" them when I exited from the view.What is the trick?Rgds,Björn

I'm using an Airtable form for leads to fill in and want to count a form completion as a conversion in Google Ads.Is there a way to do this?I could use the action of someone landing on the 'thank you' page to trigger a conversion except the redirect to the thank you page after the Airtable form has been completed does not always seem to happen. Possibly because it takes too long and people have left the site whilst waiting for the thank you page to load.Anyone else tracking Airtable form completions as a lead or conversion and worked out a way to do this?

What is your process for troubleshooting automations in complex bases that have information changing regularly?I have an error occurring with an automation that I am struggling to troubleshoot. I can't seem to replicate the error in my testing, which means I am not accounting for/considering an action happening when the base and relevant records are interacted with. I am struggling to identify the issue, as:1) Airtable doesn't instantly notify you of the issue (notifications take 5-45 minutes) - which is bizarre. In a base where there are likely many more interactions with the record in question by the time I realise the automation has failed, this makes it hard to walk back and figure out what conditions are creating the error.2) Record revision histories don't seem to be overly thorough:a) the log doesn't show where an automation fails,b) the revision history timestamps are recorded unhelpfully as "17 hours ago" etc - which make

Hello,I am trying to develop a maintenance tracking solution that deals with both dates and hours or miles due. I am attempting to configure airtable automations to send notifications as upcoming inspections become near.  I have figured out how to run a notification automation quite easily for those inspections required by a certain date. However I am still trying to determine how to configure the same type of automation with a trigger when the miles or hours reach a certain time. For example, if the next inspection is due at 1,234 miles, I want the automation to trigger when the current vehicle miles are within 5 miles of that number, or anytime that the current miles have exceeded the next due mileage.Thank you for your help.

Hi Airtable Community, I have the following problem. I have a table with tasks and a table with projects.If a task is delayed by x days, I want to display a timing risk in the project. The tasks are linked to the project. However, the tasks are repeated for each project. Therefore, they always have the same names and are not unique. If a task is now delayed, the automation cannot know which project the task belongs to. Do I really have to assign each task a unique name or can I use the record ID somehow?Thank you and bestMirko 

I am creating template tasks  when a project stage is updated. This part of teh Automation is working perfectly However, I want to bring across the team member I have assigned the task to in "Template task" to in the new " Project Tasks"I seem to be unable to get a dynamic field type for Team member. ( I have tried multiple field types) Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

HelloWe have 2 phases of work:Phase 1 is working on what we call "First Pages." Job sub-status = NEWPhase 2 is everything after that. Once marketing returns the job to the designer, Job sub-status = CORRECTIONSI'm looking for a way to automate the change of the sub-status field from NEW to CORRECTIONS.My thought is to have a field called "FIRST PAGES COMPLETE?" and an automation runs to fill that field with "yes" when the conditions are met. Then, if field = "yes" change sub-status accordingly.I'm having trouble figuring out how to track the proper conditions because I'm looking to track a change between very specific options in the "Status" field. Not just when the record is updated in general.I need the automation to look at the "Status" field and analyze when it changes from "In Progress - Design" to either "In Progress - Marketing" or "with Client"Best way to do that?

Hi everyone !I've encountered difficulties in validating the search for an ID. I believe there must be an error in my formula because, after integrating logs to ensure that I was correctly comparing the searched ID with the ID present in the table and the relevant column, I noticed that we have a match, but the formula generates a 'false' instead of a 'true'. Does anyone see my mistake?Thank you

I am using Make.com - Airtable - Update records. I have 5 different modules all returning the same 404 response,  using the outh accessIt locates the base and the table, searching for the primary IDContacted support, sent links and images. No response yet.After some search, 404 errors apparently show up. Airtable did an update in make.comAnyone else having this problem? How do I base my business on this happing?Thanks in advance
