I am creating an automation between airtable and slack, so when a record is created in a view in airtable it notifies a slack channel, and tags people based on another field - but I'm having a few issues!In the record we have today's date, the task type, details about the task, the scheduled date and the member of staff needing to be notified. If no staff member is mentioned, it notifies the channelI have the trigger set up as "When a record enters a view" and a delay totaling 116 seconds (multiple scripts one after another) with an action to find the record. In the run history this is complete, and it shows the fields and their content - however the slack notification is not including any of the fields in the message. Additionally, if 2 members of staff are tagged, it only actions the first one, then finishes the automation. Any help appreciated, some images attached

Hello everyone,I have a form from which i collect various data for my events. I am trying to create an automation to pull 2 parts of the form to put them in 2 new records in some other tables (Form -> Contact[table] and Company[table]).I was having no issue at all until I tried to pull the data of a single select field from my trigger record (the form) and use it as input for a single select field in the other table. It only gives me the possibility of choosing an option from the destination table an not from the trigger record. Also meaning, the blue button to choose which data to pull isn't appearing.Anybody had the same issue and/or have a solution for this subject matter ? I would really appreciate your help !Thank you all

Hello everyone,I need to insert the current date in a filed when a second field is updated (Yes or no) in the record updated.My need is that the first field is a "Date" because it could be modified inserting a different date in the case of any modification.I can not find any solution: automation with a button is too difficult for me (script) and automation does not the job for the record updating.Please can you help me? Hi all,I am stumped on this, but I imagine it's something fairly straightforward.I want to run an automation that will copy data from one field (Copy-to-field) to another (Copy-from-field) but preserve the original data in the Copy-to-field.Note - the Copy-to-field is a look-up field.The trouble is, when the Copy-to-field contains data, it  is wiped by the new data from the Copy-from-field.I have tried adding the Copy-to-field as a data source in the Copy-to-field in the automation, along with the new data I want added but this throws up two problems:1. It combines the original data with the new data, rather than keeping them as separate entities as I need, which is important because this is a look up field (i.e. it creates a new combined record in the look-up table e.g. instead of 'Joe' and 'Bob' as two distinct entities, the entry just become a single entity 'Joe Bob' )2. Hello 👋I have been building automation to link data from one table to another when one table receives data from Airtable's Web Clipper extension.I have a way to do this, and when I run each step of the automation test, the data is populated in the correct fields in the other table.The problem is that on the final step of the automation, Airtable thinks that it received invalid inputs despite it correctly updating the record when running the test.I will try to outline the automation below:1. Web Clipper is sending data to a table called 'Applications'; it has a single select field for Companies, linked from a table called 'Companies'.2. If a company does not exist in the Companies table, there is a text field for New Company's.3. The rest of the data is entered into the Web Clipper and sent.4. I have information coming in from another application that puts a list of email addresses in a text field and I want to use that list of emails to each contact associated with that list and link them in a separate link field. I've tried to think through ways I can use Loop on Zapier, but it overwrites each subsequent contact, and Airtable doesn't seem to let me use a comma-separated list as something to use with it's repeat action in Automations. Any ideas?

Hey guys, Just signed up and exploring all the possibilities of Airtable.What I need to do is create a chart tracking my financial portfolio performance over time (I doubt it's possible to create charts, so essentially a table with two columns - one with the day, one with the portfolio value - extracted from another table. Can the entry creation be automated?So let's say every day at 6am, it creates a new entry for that day and takes the value of the portfolio at that time.I hope it's clear.Example: Sun 24$10,250Mo 25$10,480Tue 26$9,880Another option would be to have the days pre-populated (manually) for the whole month or year, and the automation would simply find the current day and write the portfolio value in the appropriate column next to it.Beyond the chart visualisation, I'd then need to perform further operations on this table, like weekly/monthly performance, biggest drawdown, average projected annual growth etc.  

Hello,I set up an automation to notify certain colleagues when an asset is due to expire or up for renewal. Everything looks right, but when I send a test of the notice to myself and one other person, the notification goes through, but the identified asset that is due to expire is not included with the email notification. How do I sync up the notice with the asset? Thank you,Alisha

  A good example of what I am trying to do . . . . when you fill out a job application and it says list your most recent employment and it provides categories for date, company, address, title, etcetera.  I want the person answering to be able to say I have two and then a table is created where they can then fill in the information for each.  The number would/could be different for individuals answering . . . I want airtable to take the answer to one question and create a custom table within the questionnaire to collect the data needed for the specific number answered.How do I create something like this in airtable?

Hi,I'm trying to find a way but have yet to find anyone who has managed to solve this specific problem. I want to include an image, a big thumbnail in the body of the email, and it needs to be fetched from an attachment field "Artwork" in the trigger record.I have tried;1. Adding the small attachment thumbnail to the body, which makes the thumbnail too small and compressed.2. Using a formula to derive a public image URL from the attachment and including that in the body, which doesn't seem to work anymore since Airtable doesn't support public URLs from attachments (?).3. Simply adding the attachment in the email and choosing "Thumbnail" which leads to an error message saying "map(Artwork, propertyGetter("thumbnails")) cannot be converted to a string".Unsure of what to try next. I am attempting to send information from Airtable to Zapier and ultimately a message to a client. I am using the Automations > When Record Is Created trigger to Run Script. Randomly it successfully completes at 28 seconds but rare.Any options to fix this?

Dear community,We have a group coffee and drinks pool at work that everyone can help themselves to as long as they write up their use. I am using airtable to track everyones consumption and payments, which works great. I managed to set up automations for emails to notify what the users owe and when their payment has been received. The only thing that I can't figure out for the life of me is how I set up an automated email reminder if they haven't paid after 14 days.I have the following table (simplified):Let's say I do the invoicing every 15th of the month and want to send out a payment reminder on the last day of the month. In my example above person ABC wouldn't need a reminder because they already paid while person XYZ still owes $30. I figured out how to send out an email if the Total is >$0 but I can't figure out how to make it conditional that this email is only send out at the end of the month.Of course I tried to read up on that because I guess I am not the first person who

HiFirst time here ! I have a problem with the Google form automation. I use the trigger "When response arrive" to get the answer from a Google form. The automation was working well, retrieving the answers from the google sheet and adding them to my database. But for a few weeks now, the retrieval no longer works (it doesn't trigger at all). I've checked that the trigger and action tests are ok.I also noticed that when I modified the width of a line in google sheet, the automatization was triggered and brought back all the records that hadn't been taken.  I've tried duplicating the automation and reconfiguring the trigger, but it doesn't change anything....

Hello! I have two fields as per this table:ScoreLikelihood15%220%340%460%580%Is it possible to type a score 1-5 in that field and return the associated percentage in the Likelihood field. Then also being able to do the reverse when needed: ie. typing in the percentage in the likelihhood field and return the associated score in the score field? Many thanks to anyone who might be able to help me with this. Hi all,I would like to create an automation that triggers each time a record is created to update a formula (I guess, this is the part I'm unsure about).One table creates records through an automated link to Google Calendar, creating a field with a number value (number of hours) and a single line text (a name). In another table, I want to add up all the hours in one record, titled by the same name. This record already exists, so it needs to be updated every time Google Calendar creates another record with the name of the person in it.I already set up the automation to trigger each time a record is created and link it to the second table via "search records" and IF {Name} in table one IS {Name} in table two (paraphrasing here). Now I can't figure out what to put in the formula field in the second table to actually let it update and show the sum of the hours of all the records in table one.Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi Everyone,I have two automations that I need to combine into one. Is there anyway to merge the two or move pieces from one to the other without having to rebuild the content? I would have set it up as one automation to start with, but I was new at this and didn't see how to do so at the time. We're bumping up against automation limits, so it's important to combine them.Since they both trigger the sending of emails with a lot of inserted fields, it's a hassle to do it manually as even if I copy and paste, I have to manually re-insert the custom fields.  I tried searching but only got results related to automations that merge records, not anything about merging the automations themselves. Thanks for any insights you can provide! Regards,Anne

I have tried to build an automation from instantly to Airtable. I want to make dashboards for campaign data. My problem is:I want the fields in the (Data_Handling) table to update automatically, when data is updated via an API in the Instantly combined table. I have created the record IDs because i thought it would make it like working in excel in a way. But i vant seem to figure out why i cant make the update record function work in the automation. Hi,I am trying to create an automation where:If "Adviser 1 ranking" column has been updated as "Outstanding", then the "Adviser 1 rating" column will automatically have 5 stars appearing. Same goes to any update on "Adviser 2 Ranking" will update the "Adviser 2 rating", "Adviser 3 Ranking" with "Adviser 3 rating". In all 3 single select Adviser ranking fields, I have "Outstanding" (i.e. 5 stars), "Very good" (i.e., 4), "Good" (i.e.,3), "Poor" (i.e.,2), "Try Again" (i.e.,1).Could anyone please help out?Thanks! 🙂
