Hi all Airtablers, I was trying to connect a task from Apify to Airtable via Datafetcher. I did that in the first run a few weeks ago and it worked. Now i tried to schedule the task, but it gives the error below.  I checked the actor task and it's fine. not sure where is the issue. any help/advice is appreciated.  

I'm getting the error 'Field "Student" cannot accept the provided value: Cannot modify a computed field.'. The field "Student" ISN'T a computed field, though; it's a linked record field.What confuses me the most is that when I tested this automation it worked flawlessly, both in 'generate a preview' and 'run as configured' tests. It's only in live runs that it fails. Does anybody have any clues as to what's going on?

I am trying to create a script so it will give me a running total for a base view on certain columns. For example. My brokerage I want to make a top 5 in different categories on our interfase. From what I am seeing I can not add columbs up so I created views for each agent. Within those views I was hoping to have an automation that searches the view every so often and runs a script to talley up the totals in a columb and then the automation will update the number on another base acocrding to that agent.  So Agent is Mary White on our brokerage tracker I made a Mary White View. Set up a automation to Find All records for Mary White in her view Set up a script to run totals for Columns "total sales" , "total commissions" Total Unites and so forth Script enters total into selected field in leaderboard base under designated agent and this is automatically updated every day. through the same s

I created a staff scheduler with a series of automations that copies a shift (Workday Date and Start/End Times, Location linked field, employee linked field, notes) to a future date based on 4 checkbox fields (creating a shift 1, 2, 3 and 4 days in the future).While the tool works great, I started receiving an error with only ONE location linked field every time I try to copy a shift. The error reads as follows: 'Creating the record failed due to insufficient permissions.' I have tried several fixes, including creating a duplicate of the location in question in the parent table and cutting and pasting pertinent information and linking fields about that location into the new record. I am completely stumped and as it is impossible to reach Airtable directly anymore, I figured I'd turn to the forums.Thanks in Advance!

As per the attachment, I have created an automation with multiple steps starting with a form being submitted and ending with an email being sent to the customer who submitted the form.The email body requires data from the previous steps of the automation to be updated.The problem is that it seems the automation doesn't run in sequence (each step following once the previous one has been complete), rather all steps run simultaneously. This causes the email body to be missing data, because the final email is being sent before the records have been updated according to the previous steps.Am I doing something wrong?

Hello!I have the following bases tables:- Team- Emails Teams has records of people grouped by single select types of teams (Management, Development, Operations).Emails has email records that is populated by a form. The form asks for, among other things, the group it is to be sent to. This is a separate field not linked to the team field in Teams. Once the email has been approved, i have a trigger when the status of the email submitted is "good to go".I would like to know how to go about automating sending an email when that is done, to the defined group of people. e.g. Team "Management" is selected on the email submission form, once approved the an email sends to that group.Appreciate any help 🙂 PS: Is there a way to manually send an email from airtable? Hi All, I'm trying to use a linked record to pull up the TRT of an asset that's listed out as a full timecode, extract just the hours and minutes and put that into a duration field. I've gotten so far as to pull the hours and minutes but when I set the automation to fill the duration, because it's not reading the text as seconds, it's coming in with the wrong duration. I haven't been able to get datetime_parse to convert the text to time. I can sense there's an easier way to do this that I'm just not landing on but nothing I've tried has worked. 

Hey all!I run the backend of a small newspaper, and one thing we do is make a list of "happenings" that we publish each month. I had set up a back-end system via Airtable collection form, and the listings were then compiled into a Google doc via automations, and it was working great until this month when suddenly basically all my automations were failing - suspiciously only ones that involve dates like one-day and multi-day events. Did something change with Airtable automations in the past few weeks or what is going on! I had to manually add all the listings this month and it was a pain. Desperately hoping someone can advise, happy to share more info -- could not for the life of me figure it out,Thank you!!

Hey all, I am trying to create a solution to reduce the image sizes in one of our bases, that is wildly over limits due to being populated with MASSIVE cell phone photos uploaded via a form.Currently I have setup an automation to trigger a miniextensions webhook that compresses the image and places the resulting smaller file into a new field.What I would like to do now is create an automation to run at a specific time to delete the contents of the original field automatically.The update record function does not support deleting field data (why?).Can someone assist? Hello Community,My email automation that I use to send out reports has failed 3 times in a row and does not give me any information besides it has "failed". I went to the automation itself, tested it, and it said everything was fine. So I am not sure what the issue is. I am attaching a photo of the email I keep receiving. Hopefully I can get this figured out soon. (This is also just the normal email automation, not the gmail specific one.)

Hello everyone,Always with the ultimate goal of creating the perfect automated ToDo List,I have a script I was able to write that copies tasks from one table, pastes them into another table. The script copies the important information (task name, task categories, who's responsible and when it needs to be done). My script then links the task to the event in the ToDo Lists.But it's impossible to copy the dependencies between my tasks (link to another record) directly into the script. In any case, I was unable to do so and no one replied to my previous post. I got around the problem by asking the script to copy the dependency links from my main table into a text column in my ToDo Lists table.So I created a second automation to "Update record" the new records created by my script, to copy the text from the text column to the parent Task column, which is a link column to other records.As I said, I have about ten child tasks linked to its parent task (13 p

We want to create a warning system that alerts us if a new booking comes in that matches the name, email or phone number of a previous guest that has caused issues in the past.When a previous guest has caused an issue, we flag them as High Alert on Airtable.This puts them into a View called “Guest Warning”.We want to build an automation that sends us a message or email when a booking comes in that matches the name, number or email of any records (guests) in the “Guest Warning” view.How do we do this?Thanks,Ollie

We want to connect their name and email (as submitted in the form) to a preexisting linked record with their details.  Sometimes, staff will fill in multiple names and emails at once, separated by commas. Hello dear communityI want to be able to automate the email sending, every time I have a new registration from a person, I must send a welcome email attaching an excel file (this excel file will be the same for all new registrations), what would have to vary is the sending to different emails, what I need is that a new record is automatically created and I sent the welcome email attached to the excel file that I have stored in a table.I hope I have explained myself well.I look forward to your comments, thank you!

Hi I'm trying to set up my base (I have a separate Reminder base just for this purpose) so that it should sync my Airtable to the Outlook calendar, it should show up all my reminders that I have in that base, is there a possibility that it should work both ways? I want to be able to add reminders in my Outlook that will be editable within Airtable but I should be able to create new ones.I have already created the calendar in my Outlook.I'm looking to have that it should bring in new ones and export to the same location And where do I get the Event ID? What should I be looking out for?

Hi I used to use the extension that moved records over from one table to another on the same base however, due to API Keys ending and becoming Tokens this extension has been removed from the options. It was essential in my job. My only option now is to copy over the records but I can only copy them in the same table not into a different table can someone please help?Thank You!

Hi everyone,I have an automation here that works perfectly fine when I add a new dataset into my grid view. Once I switch to a form to add a new dataset the automation doesn't work properly. The automation I duplicated starts but the value is wrong. With a single automation nothing at all happens.Not sure what it is. Maybe the trigger "when record is updated" vs "when record is created". I duplicated everything tried to keep everything the same, which is not really possible.
