I have 3 tables in my database. Table 1 EVENTS. Table 2 SOURCES. Table 3 RESEARCH. Tables 1 and 2 are linked by the source number in Table 2. If I link the source number to findings on Table 3, will I cause a problem? I am clearly a newbie and appreciate any support. Thank you.
I can’t seem to get any attachments to load. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone found a way around the problem? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have a table of records of students’ test scores. Each time a student takes a test, a new record is created. So, John may have taken 15 tests but Mary may have taken 16. I have not figured out how I can keep a running total of tests taken. I would be grateful if anyone can suggest a way to do this. Thank you:)
In the Universe the CRM example has a beautiful curated list of views on the left hand side. What’s that called? Can I have it in my copy of the base? Airtable Personal CRM - Airtable Universe A base for creating a Personal CRM. Set how often you want to connect with each person, and create a live pipeline of who to reach out to.
Hi! I have a DB for my mouse colony. Each entry has the mouse tag, room location (there are 2 rooms) and cage location within each room. Each cage can host up to 5 mice. However, cage location overlap and need the room number to be identified. I am trying to link/lookup the main table to another table in which each record represents a cage location and has the following fields: -cage location -number of mice in room 1 -list of tags of mice in room 1 -number of mice in room 2 -list of tags of mice in room 2 I started by linking the cage location but when I add a field to lookup back from the main table to list the tags filtered by room location, I get no results… Any advice? Thanks! Best Ferdinando
Hi, I am still an Airtable newbie. We are trying to set up a database of families receiving food from our NGO. I have one table set up for the families (with information like their address, intake records, etc), and one for the records of each individual (with information like birthdate, school reports, gender, etc). I have managed to get column showing the number of individuals in each family (on the family table) and one showing which individuals are children (on the individuals table). Is there a way to get a column on the family table that gives the number of children (under 18s) in each family? (something like a combination of a count and formula field).
Is it possible to do a conditional rollup where it looks for just records this month rather than in the last 30 days? Or do I have to set up the formula with after July 1 and before July 31?
I just made a table that I likely won’t need until next year at tax time. Can I hide it until then so it doesn’t get to confusing?
I am new here. I want to use a zapier intergration that stores info from web page form, using a web hook, into a database here. One filed will be a number between 1 - 5. One represents one star whee five represents five stars. Next, I want to pull the data from this database and display it on a web page but have the numbers 1-5 appear as stars. My question is it possible to make the stars appear using a database here. Anyone know of articles to read or a template? Thanks in advance!
Can anyone help me figure out how to create a base to compare car loans? I’d like to bring in total loan amounts, monthly payments, total interest, etc
Hi I have a column in airtable with url images, and I want to add another column with the image downloaded so I can view actually in airtable as an image, how can I do that? I have a base with three tables. Each table is a log of different types of incidents that occur at our company. All tables are indexed using the date time the incident occurred, and also includes other accompanying data like staff involved, etc. The accompanying data for the three different incident types is different, otherwise I would put them in a single table. What I would like to do is generate a chart that shows how many of each incident occurred each month. I have found out how to generate this chart for one of the incident types using a block, but the block only allows me to pull data from a single table. I’ve tried creating a fourth table to capture all of the summarized data and then build a chart block there, but I’m stuck trying to find the most efficient way to link all of the data. If I create year and month columns in my summary table, is there a way to automatically link to all of the records in other tables with matching year and month, or is linking in Airtable always
I am trying to make my Interaction ID change when my Interaction Type has a different select. I am not a coder but sometimes get luck. This is what I think the formula should say but it’s not working. Can anyone help? hello, I’m getting this message when I’m trying to submit a form. here is the full message. " Warning: potentially risky form The user-created form you are attempting to access has been flagged as a potential risk. If you wish to proceed and view the form anyways, please remember to never submit your passwords through Airtable forms." I tried to contact support but no reply. can it be rectified by me or should I wait for official reply. Thanks.
Total noob, but need to know if in long text aka rich text can you insert an image/picture? Just thinking about using airtable for my blogging needs (airtable-zapier-webflow) and would like to be able to use rich text editor but will need the function to be able to insert images and pictures that can be floated, size adjust, captioned etc within the rich text editor field.
I’m trying to replicate this chart Block from this example here I don’t understand how this stock example was made, do they have a table containing all the stock data at different times? What would that table look like? I understand they would have a table for all the listings, but how would those listings all be linked to hundreds of price data points at different times? Does anyone have an example of this?
I have a grid view with a long text column. Is there a way to either have the row expand to show all of the data in the text cell (similar to that done in excel)? Or some visual indicator that there is more text that is not being shown?
I have an Access database that tracks all the various activities of our Volunteer Fire Department. Everything from emergency calls to training to member information to inventory, etc. I am trying to figure out if I can take that database and go to Airtable. We would like to get away from the desktop, one computer centric vision of database designs. Does anyone have any experience with this in Airtable? Would you be willing to share your thoughts on how to go about this? I have a lot of experience in relational databases, but Airtable does not really follow that paradigm. I have trouble getting out of that box. Thanks ,Scott
I have projects that I want to add links to four generic tasks timers (writing, editing, revising, project management). I want to automatically link every project to those four timers. Is there a way to do that?
Hello! I am using Airtable for managing social media for a non-profit. I have two bases - the Digital Asset Manager and the Social Media Calendar. I would like to link the assets in the DAM to my entries in the SMC so I can see from the DAM when that asset has been used and I can have the SMC use an asset that is already in the DAM. It seems really silly to have to load them into both bases and have them not speak to each other. Am I missing a way to do this?
I’m using Caspio now. I need a searchable database on my website that has the capability to print in pdf, excel, csv. Can I do this same thing with AirTable? Thanks much.
I have created a form view for each employee (5) that is personalized to them, with their name and a fun image for them at the top. It is used to track their billable time per client. In the grid view, however, I’d like to see which form (or person) submitted each line so that I know who completed the work. Is this possible? Thanks so much!
Heya ! I’m having trouble with this one ! It is not a problem specific to AirTable : it would be the same with any other relational database, and it is an open one… What I’m aware of : the most consistent solution would be to have a single ‘Ledger’ table containing both income and expenses. Reason why I would prefer separate tables : the ‘Income’ table is deeply related to the already complicated CRM part of my base the ‘Expenses’ table is related to the Providers part of my base there is no correlation between those parts of the base, and I like it that way ! #K.I.S.S. the data in those two tables are of completely different natures My need : I simply want to compute a monthly net revenue bar chart in a block ! (btw, I’m literally loving the power of AirTable blocks :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: ). Obviously, I would like it entirely automated, and as simple as possible My thoughts : it feels like I need some kind of outer join between the ‘$ExpenseAmount’ and ‘$IncomeAmount’ i
