Hi, would it be possible to be able to automatically have default billions / millions / thousands separator for all field defined as number only ? Ideally for integer and decimal numbers Ideally with choice for European or American way of writting It would significantly improve the readability of such big numbers. Airtable : 10987654321.01 US : 10’987’654’321.01 Europe : 10 987 654 321,01
I am using the long text field with rich text formatting to implement a checklist in my Airtable entries. What I would love to happen is for every new entry created, to have this specific rich text be added to every single entry so that each entry has the checklist instead of manually adding it to each one. Is anything like this possible?
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if it is possible to embed the map block on a website. I’d like to just embed the map itself and then have the items clicked on the map pop up to reveal the Airtable record for those items. Is this possible? Thank you!
I have created a Real Estate Transaction Management Block in Airtable and I am looking to also utilize it as a CRM, as most of the data is the same. I found it easier to create a separate tab within the same Block to avoid transferring all of that data. It is currently working pretty well but, I am having 2 issues that I can’t seem to figure out. For clients that have multiple transactions I cannot figure out a way for it to only pull/display data from the most recent transaction for items like Purchase Anniversary and Mailing Address. We like to send out Birthday, Anniversary and Sale Anniversary cards in the respective months. In Excel I can use the MONTH Function to filter out all Birthday’s/Anniversaries that are happening within the month regardless of year. In Airtable it seems I cannot do this unless I create an OR Filter for that month for every year. Any help with either of these issues would be greatly appreciated.
I have a table that keeps track of calls being made by volunteers. The base has 3 main tables: callers, people being called, and a call log where volunteers submit a form detailing their calls (the tables are all linked). The call log form has a field where callers put “yes” if they reached the person and “no” if they did not reach the person. I want to create a view of the “people being called” table where there are only the people who have not been reached for all of the lates 3 calls. How can I do this? I know I could do rollup fields for the calls, and I have used this to keep track of when the last call was for each person, how many calls total, etc. But I am not sure how to keep track of the characteristics of the 3 latest calls.
I want to be able to take live notes during a video recording, and then be able to go back into the recording and find things easily. More specifically, imagine a user: Opens empty table Types text into record 1, time is noted in adjacent cell as 00:00 (mm:ss) [it takes them 5 seconds to do this] Types text into record 2, time is noted in adjacent cell as 00:05 (mm:ss) [it takes them 15 seconds to do this] Types text into record 3, time is noted in adjacent cell as 00:20 (mm:ss) And so on…
Are there any downside to enabling rich text in the long text field? Any implications for Zapier or Integromat integrations?
Hi. Does anyone know if it’s possible to copy several attachments at once and then paste them across a select range of records in one go? Many thanks in advance! Katy
The goal, to send a client a list of PDFs called Offering Memorandum of interest, and another Field/column called “Properties sent.” Unfortunately, the Field/Column named “Attachments” does not have the “+” sign that allows the creator/owner to upload an Offering Memorandum (PDF) of the property from the Field entitled “Address” of the properties, which is the field used to input the all of the data and attachments for the properties. The Field/Column we named “Properties Sent” has a “+” and the ability to upload an attachment from AirTable . The email sent to the client - who is not shared as an Owner/Creator or Read-only client - includes the title of the attachments under the Field “Properties sent,” but not the PDF file, which is how the data and attachments were originally input into AirTable. This creates some double work, and defeats the concept of Airtable - to attach info inputted within AirTable, unless you can help me out. One issue is, to be able to email the PDF attachm
I am more familiar with join tables, SQL etc. I have 3 tables: “person”, “activity” and “activitylog” “activity log” is essentially a join table that stores the person ID and activity ID. I created two linked fields in the “activity log” table and AT created two fields for each: “ActivityID”, “ActivityID (From activity table)”, “personID”, and “PersonID (from person table”) I am updating the join table from Integromat and it works fine, but I don’t understand why AT creates two fields for a linked record? What I’m trying to accomplish: log all activities people do and issue rewards based on accomplishing ‘missions’ show me who has done what activities (and other aggregate reporting) This is super simple in my old world of SQL server stuff, but is there a reason why AT creates 2 fields, or am I not going about this the right way?
I’m looking to create a base in Airtable to keep track expiration dates for products we sell. We are trying to replace our current expiration date tracking software with an Airtable base. Our current software solution allows us to setup as many email notifications as possible as the expiration date nears. Each notification reminder can have its own specified days for the scheduled notification email to go out in addition to assigning a specific email template with customer subject line and content. Here’s what the settings look like in our current software. What I’d like to do is setup automation using Airtable, Integromat and Gmail’s SMTP service. The current base I created only has 4 columns, SKU (text), Supplier (dropdown), Expiration Date (date), and Owner (Collaborator). Needs: I need the automation to run once daily checking each record for any products (records) nearing expiration at the intervals they are set to. The challenge is that not all suppliers will have the same
Hi, As far as I can tell there isn’t an option to use a slider for entering numbers - or a way to set minimum and maximum. values. It doesn’t even look possible to have a slider for a percentage field. The only workaround I can think of for entering values quicky and having some kind of visual feedback of numbers is to use a rating field, but this obviously limits one to only 5 possible values, which is pretty limiting. This seems like a completely bizarre oversight in what otherwise seems like a really useful and excellent product - am I missing something? thanks, Josh
share.getcloudapp.com – 22 May 20 Screen Recording 2020-05-22 at 08.54 AM.gif Shared with CloudApp We have an airtable set up to list the podcasts we are sponsoring. We have the main scheduling tab (Podcast Sponsoring) as well as the canned reads that we send each podcaster (Canned Read). On the PS tab, we list which product they are sponsoring. Product 1 or Product 2. We want Airtable to look at what is in that column; Prodcut 1 or 2 and bring in the information that is listed for that product in the Canned Read tab. Is there a way to do that?
I have an education provider table: that lists among others item, the commission %, which is hard-coded ( written manually as per our agreement with them) every time we have a new education provider sign up with us, we create their record. We have this system working fine. But now there is changes in the commission % with one of the education providers. We can’t just simply change the commission percentage in the commission % field of the Education Provider table for that education provider record, because by doing this, it will wrongly calculate the commission for all previous clients related to that education provider based on the updated commission %. What’s the solution for this? apart from make a new commission % table and link the new created commission % table with Education provider’s cCommission % field ?
I’m looking to build an Airtable for my medical clinic. Would anyone know where I can find some resources on building something like this? I have gone through the templates in the Airtable Universe but haven’t been able to find anything.
Hello all, I’m a new user. I’d like to know if it is possibile to build a “simple” grid to make it easy for technicians to log their planned hours (numbers in blue) for each task. I made some tests but wasn’t able to create something like this… can you give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance!
We have Portfolio management need and thinking of using airtable. Is it the right tool? How does it compare to Microsoft Project and Smartsheet? Will like to have Classical project management fields start date, end date, % completion, at risk etc. Ability to zoom in / zoom out based on workstream - sub workstream - project - task multiple projects have dependency on each other. Gantt Chart and dependency mapping critical. Dashboard to provide high level visibility to executives, project managers and stakeholders. Thanks
Typeform offers an Airtable integration, and I’ve managed to map my fields, except I need to capture the timestamp of the date/time that the Typeform was submitted. Typeform does capture this data and calls it “Submit Date (UTC)”. I wish to map the data of that field to a field/column in my Airtable. Have anyone figured this out? Is it not possible?
We have an unusual situation where we need one account in terms of access to our shared Airtables but need to split the payment between two methods for accounting purposes. Is this possible? In other words, we need to add more users than we currently pay for, give them access to existing shared Airtables, but pay for the new users separately from the old. It’s the equivalent of splitting a bill at a restaurant. Thanks for your help and any creative solutions.
Hi Airtable! I have a base that I created in which I will be adding Notes from Apple. There are duplicate records, but there is no key, except for a formula to create different record ID’s. This ID is unique for all records, including duplicates. My question is how do I create a unique key, when each of the fields are not unique in my base. Fields: DATE *these dates are not all different SUBJECT *some are the same NOTES *the titles are either too varied or the same TIME CREATED *some of the same records will have different times FORMULA *creates a different record ID, even if it’s a duplicate Perhaps the formula can be adjusted to create the same ID for all duplicates, based on another field? If so, I don’t quite know how to do that. I have created a share link to my base, I thought it might be easier. I would appreciate any help. Thank you, Mary Kay P.S. For some reason my share link looks like this. If you go to the last record, there’s a link (View larger version) to view the who
Hi everyone, Looking for a way to do a multi-step filter within AirTable. Here’s an example of the filters I would need: Where Level 3 Org is Org1 OR Where Level 3 Org is Org2 AND Job Family contains Job1 OR Where Level 3 Org is Org3 AND Job Family contains Job2 Is this possible? It looks like no since you cannot nest filters together in that way. I can do these filters in individual views, but I need an aggregated list in the long run. Any thoughts?
Airtable Masters, I have set up related tables with rollups and lookups in the past, but this problem has me stumped. I am trying to determine a process capacity by looking at each order and determining the number of units due between the current time and the due date of the order. I have read several post where similar questions are asked, but no answers given. Is this even possible with Airtable? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
I am trying to create a system for project managers at our firm to request a new project. I’m thrilled about the new conditional fields in form view as it allows me to only show fields if the requester has selected certain parameters. It works like this: Project Manager fills out the airtable form. One question is multi-select and asks what services we are including to the client. PM selects all services we are providing for that project and because I’ve got conditional fields set up, it only asks additional questions about the services selected. That part works great - however, when our accounting team goes to look at the records submitted through the form, there’s A LOT of blank cells because the project managers are only filling out questions for the services they selected, not every possible service. I’m looking for a way to hide blank cells when a record is expanded from grid view, OR from one of the other views if necessary. Any ideas?
Hi! I’m new to AirTable and I’m not very advanced with using functions, but I think I will need to use at least a few to do what I’m trying to do. I currently have a column of what are essentially tags for a given gene’s function, and I’d like to convert them to tags in Airtable by making them each options in a multiple-select field. Is there a way to easily use the semicolons in the text as separators/delimiters to automatically generate the selections and convert the entries as they are to multiple select smoothly? Thanks in advance!
So, I built a new form…and tested it…I cannot attach an image by selecting “Take Photo” in the attachment field. All options work except for “Take Photo”…this is an Android device. Did something change…I’ve been using forms on mobile and adding photo attachment without issue until today.
