Hello, I've been using Airtable to create VFX shot lists for feature films and scripted TV series.I find it very useful to display general information (VFX name, Description, Status, etc.), as you can see in the example below:But in some productions, they need me to add specific info for every VFX plate that is part of a particular VFX shot (sometimes it's just one plate, but in some instances there are many). This is pretty easy to achieve using Spreadsheet software (see below):But I'm having a hard time to replicate this simple organisation and layout in Airtable.As you can see, some fields are common for all three plates (Thumbnail, VFX Shot Name, Description), but other fields are specific for each plate (Plate Name, Video track, Plate Durat

I guess I just don't understand how/why Airtable is set up this way.If I have a Pro account.And another has a Pro account.Why can't they just SHARE one of their workspaces and/or bases with me - with edit access - without my having to pay a 3rd time?! To be a Pro user on "their" account?!That makes zero sense to me. ;-/ 

I have a table that has a column, lets call it Food. I want to create datasheets for the drop down options I have set up for the food column and I am looking for a way to cater a page set up based off what drop down option is selected. For example: There are two drop down options. Option one is Soda and option two is Carrot. Some important information about soda would be sugar content, manufacturer, calories, etc... and some important information about Carrots would be, pesticide use, region grown, etc... I have all of these bits of information created in my table and I now want to be able to print of datasheets showing the information. The problem I have is that I don't want to display the same information for both Soda and Carrots because only certain fields apply to each. So my question is, is it possible to create separate page designer layouts for specific field values in a table? If not is there a clever workaround I am missing to make it possible.&nbsp

Hi All,I'm trying to set up a resource tracker using the summarise function within the timeline view.In short, I want to be able take the days associated with a task and spread these across the length of the task. So if a task takes 20 hours and the task length is a week, then the summarise function would say 4 hours for each day and would group accordingly dependent on the scale we were looking at. I'll be grouping by individual, so want to be able to get this value summed across multiple tasks. This must be what the system is doing under the utilisation function, as it'll this to compare the available days to create the percentage, but I don't seem to be able to get it to work. When I go to summarise, and go to sum, it just shows me the total number of hours and doesn't spread the amount across the days. Crucially I don't want the percentage of available time used, I just want the number of hours themselves.  Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to label relationships in this CRM we are building? We have multiple relationships we want to label such as spouses, siblings, advisors, parent-child. We also want it to work in the inverse so it shows that Sally is the child of Tom and Tom is the parent of Sally.

Hi - I'm looking for help building a tracker for customers that sign-up for beta programs. I have a table for Customers. And I have a table with a list of Beta Programs.For each beta program, they will have a google form where customers can be nominated. Then I want it to the feed into Airtable. Each customer nomination needs to go through a process so their status can move from Nominated > Pending > Confirmed. Is it possible to have one table per beta program, then one table that has a list of all beta programs that gives a count of who many customers are confirmed?

I just created a budget table, and three fields(cost, products, and source) are integrated with the product table  (pulling the cost field from the product table when I choose a particular product from the budget table). if the cost field is empty or 0 in the product table, the integrated cost field in the budget table should be editable. But I have no idea since the cost field type is lookup or rollup. Is that possible?

Hello everyone. I have a question here and would like to get your answer to it. If we have many bases in one particular workspace, and some are synced bases and some are source bases, let's say A is a source base and B is a synced base whose data is synced from Base "A". Again, all of them live in the same workspace. If we want to create a new workspace and move Bases "A" and "B" to that new workspace, will this workflow or configuration affect the current data synchronization from Base "A" (source base) to Base "B" (synced base)? Hi all, I'm a fairly proficient AT user but I just can't wrap my brain around this current project. I make and sell jewelry pieces. I do a combination of "stock" items and custom items. For stock items I'll make 5-10 identical pieces that I sell as-is. But then there's the custom work. I want to create a comprehensive system that calculates MSRP for both stock and custom pieces, tracks orders and inventory, and tells me what stock I have currently on-hand. I can't for the life of me figure out how to structure the base to be able to handle both stock items and custom orders. Stock items would record details like size, color choices, weight, etc. But they are set per item. On custom orders those details are set per order, not per item. I've been toying with a base structure something like:Products Table for recording stock itemsOrders Table for recording cust

I'm brand-new to Airtable, and I'm trying to use it for managing an upcoming burlesque show. Each record will have all the details for each act, and then I'll create interfaces for each relevant team member (stage manager, sound board operator, host) that has the information they need for each act, in the order that each act will be going on stage.The most important thing is that the producers need to be able to rapidly change the order of acts in the show, if performers drop out at the last minute or something like that. So what I'm looking for is an easy way for them to be able to change the order of acts in one place -- preferably by drag-and-drop, but entering a sequence number manually will also work -- and then the order of the acts automatically updates in every other interface. Example: The first act is supposed to have performances from Hezzy Tate, then Amber Dextrous, then Trisky Business. So everyone's interfaces have all the information in that order.

Hi guys!Is it possible to have URL in primary field? So that the URL is hidden behind some text (rich text formatting). Like you can do in other fields:So now I have this:One field is brand and the other is model (here I added URL). Primary field is brand + model. When I embed this view into my blog post, reader needs to click on the primary field and from that it opens up window where he needs to find it and click on URL one more time. I don't want that additional step (click) and honestly I think that reader won't find it quickly. Or it can be confusing.Is there a way to add rich text formatting in primary field?Thanks!

Hi! I'm a flower farmer, trying to teach myself Airtable.I wanted to keep track of my tulips from year to year and set up a base. I need suggestions on how to organize this better!  Each type of tulip might have a different harvest date from year to year, and its possible I might buy it from a different source from year to year. Maybe I like one company's bulb over another, etc.   I think I'll add a price per bulb as well, which will change from year to year.   Should I set up a new table for every year and then bring that data together? What makes the most sense?  My main goal is to be able to see the big picture of different bulbs to help me decide what to order in the future.  Any advice is super helpful for this newbie!!Thanks!!

Hello, attached is a screenshot.  I am interested in having "time sheets" as a view that is linkable to a project.  I have made this work using lookup fields, but this seems to only display the first 4 columns from "Time Sheets".  I tried creating a separate view and only showing the column want and selecting "Limit record selection to a view", but that does not work how I thought it would, that will only filter out results.  Is there a work around? Basically i am looking for my formula fields that total up hours to appear on the project, which is on the far right side of my time sheets table.  Appreciate your help.

Hi Airtable Community!I've been tasked with creating a CRM for Events invites and attendance tracking and would love any input on best ways to proceed. So far I have a "Contacts" table and an "Events" table, which are linked based on who got an invite to what event. The problem is, for certain events, we also want to track who RSVP'd and who attended the event on a contact by contact basis so we can reach out, follow-up after, etc. We ideally want to keep the base as clean as possible. I see two potential avenues (and am leaning towards the first) but would love other ideas that might be more straightforward/simple for those who aren't familiar with Airtable to navigate.create a new table solely to track RSVPs and attendance. This table would pull in the contact and the specific event they are attending so that every record is "Contact - Event" and tag accordingly with their RSVP status. Views for each event can then be created to summarize attendance.

I have a table of all USPS zip codes and their respective cites and states. It has over 33,000 records. I would like to be able to use it in another base without having to copy it into the other base which causes it to go over its record limit.Is there a way to do this?Thanks, Scott

We currently pay about $3-4k/year for a "training platform" which as far as I can tell, is just a file storage front end that you can upload PDFs of certificates to and then launch a couple videos or slide decks from which are followed by short quizzes. When you complete the quiz, the training for those embedded vids/slides is recorded as complete.I have not come up with an approach yet, but is there any decent way to replicate this functionality in airtable? I have an org chart that's looking good except for one thing: the lines that connect the name cells are in a faint blue that is all but illegible. The help bot gave me irrelevant advice, so I'm trying here. How can I configure the color of those lines? It's unusable like this.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to select several tables at once to move them? For example, when creating new tables, they are automatically placed at the very end of all existing tables. We have a lot of tables in our base, and I often have to create more, usually many at a time.  If I need them to be located at the beginning, or at the top (of the table list), it can take time I don't have time to move them one by one. It seems like it would be a pretty basic function that you would be able to select more than one table at a time in the table list and drag them up to the top of the table list, or select more than one table's tab and move them over all at one time. I've done searches, but cannot find an answer. What am I missing? Thanks.

Hello Airtable CommunityI have a base with several tables (one for each department) to plan their content. So print, social media organic, PR etc.Each team has 1-3 interfaces. Now I want to synchronize the most important information from all these tables into one table in the same base. I want to have a comprehensive content calendar to see at a quick glance who is working on what. Unfortunately, synchronization only works over different bases. But then I can't display everything in one interface and the employees would always have to switch bases.Does anyone have an idea for this?Best regardsMirko

It’s slightly similar question to the previous poster actually. I have a field which has numbers in it. If I do this (grouped by field), it shows a very neat view which also contains SUM of each group. The question is. How do I get this sum to my other table? In my screenshot, that will be how do I create a record on other table which has my [400x600] text and ‘30’ integer in it? Is there a very easy solution that I miss? Thanks

Hi, My boss has created this sheet. I manage airtable automations and things around it.So whenever he opened the account from his side, the sheet results shows some of the incorrect values. But whenever I open Airtable from myside it always shows me the correct values in the sheet.Attached are two screenshots of same table where you can see it is showing the red I marked showing different values.I asked him to open with different account but still he has issues and I am not having it.Please help, it's been a week we are having these issues. I have turned off all the automations but still this error doesn't resolve.
