Hi, I created a form in airtable so people could populate their information directly for me into my grid view. However when I sent the form, people had to ask for access - which access do I grant them? And they were asked to create an account - I did not select ' see who submitted a response to the form' at the bottom so not sure why this has happened. I have made everyone an editor but am now being told that I have too many editors for the free plan. Have been looking around but there seems to be no simple answer to this? Thanks, Lucy
When I remove all filters and show all fields, the "Download CSV" option is not available when I open options by clicking the view carrot. What am I doing wrong? - Thanks in advance.
Hey,I've started using Airtable recently and have now run into two issues, that stopp me from really using it fully. One of them is:I use Airtable to track deliveries. We get orders which usually contain a series of Deliveries, 99% of the time containing identical items but with different order numbers and delivery dates.I'd love to have one form where a I can put in such orders, which fields to put in as many orders as needed, each creating their own issue upon submitting the form.Is that possible with Airtable and/ or Fillout for Airtable??? Second problem: I need to have items for the deliveries created. I have Inventory items, that already exist. But since items within deliveries get serial numbers, notes, etc., I can't just use them, I need to create ´Delivery Items out of Delivery + Inventory item. In a form I can pick the inventory item, but I've not yet found a way to a) create the Delivery Items from the form and b) link those to the Delivery, so I don't have to do a
Hi,I have a tracking system for a number of different projects that are continuously added into the base. Each project goes through the same steps/actions.One major challenge I am facing is how to track the progress of each step/action for each single project? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys!In my company there are 25 employees and I'm just beginning to build a base. We want to have all information about our employees (picture, name, email, phone number, address, birthday, start of the contract, number of days for holidays-leave etc.).We will also track time - work sheet (when someone gets to work and gets home, also when someone is on break) - we are thinking to track this with NFC (phones or cards).Additionally we want to send leave request via Form (for our director - he then approve it via button in his email and we get signed request on our email). And correct number of days (how many holidays you have for the following year). My question is, what is the best way to build base for this type of information? How many tables (how to sort them)? The main issue is with the work sheet. Maybe something like this? https://www.airtable.com/templates/employee-scheduling/exphSbhght6yyULC9So employee table, work sheet table, leave table. Also a big request to every
Hello, I want to have a merged table consisting of entries I manually created plus entries with the same data structure that i fetch from an external data source via API.The external source could be updated in the future and ideally I'd want the records in the table to update as well. Is that possible? Help is greatly appreciated 🙂
Hi.I am new to this so sorry if this is the wrong place to post.I have tried to searched for it, but could not find it, so if anybody have a thread about it, please guide me in the right direction 🙂We have just started using airtable for our small business, and have made a table for our orders. Is it possible to create a new table for a monthly summary of our orders? both for number of orders and for a total sum?
Hi,I've got a scenario i'm trying to solve with the interfaces... To give you some background information: i'm working a a project which involves taking care of incoming documents: tag them with info like sender, assign them to the correct project and type of document (bill or letter), amount to pay, etcI created a table called "Document", a table called "Sender" and a table called "Project".The document table has a column "Sender", which refers to the linked table "Sender"The document table also has a column "Project", which refers to the linked table "Project"I created an interface which has a record view on the document table, which filters all "untagged" documents. When you click on a document from the record view... fill in the sender and the project... one should see a list of recent documents that have the same sender and project... in order to detect potential doubles (=same document sent twice). Is this doable with the current interface? So in short: I select a document, i
Hi, I was wondering if airtable offers securing a particular table in a base using a password. I want to use the table to store tokens and hence want it to have restricted access. Any other suggestions on how tokens of third party services like Box can be secured safely in airtable? ThanksChandrika
Hi Everyone,I am sure this is a common question, but I can't seem to find it... When staff join they have a 3 month/6month and 9 month review. They then have their Annual review (which is always 1 year after their 3 month review). They then have a mid term review and an annual review. My question is...Is there a script/formula that takes the last date entry in Person A's row and creates a date that is 6 months after it so I can then run an email automation 2 weeks prior to that date to remind Person A their review is coming up. In my example below (DATE FORMAT IS EUROPEAN) As you can see Person B has been employed longer so they are further down the chain they have just had their Y2 annual review and so their Y2 mid term would be 6 months from then (ie 22/7/2024).Person A's however is still in Y1 and has just had their mid term so they are due their Annual review on 6/5/2024.So each row will be a different person who will have different dates as they will be at differen
When I link table entries to another table I get these boring gray boxes with the linked record. It gives me no information other than the name. It would be great if I could, in the formatting tab of that link, choose a view from which it should get the color information. Example: When I have tasks with a complete field in another table and I link these tasks in my project. I could create a color coding in my tasks table: Done tasks are green. In Progress tasks are yellow. Not started tasks are red. Now in the project table, in the link column, I would say: Take the colors of this one view that has the colors. Now the grey boxes would be green, yellow and red, depending on their color in the other table and I would have a huge informational boost at a glance. See this mockup.
Hi guys, I was wondering if it is possible to change the linked fields inputs in different colours like they are shown in the original table (that had the field type “Multiple selection”). It is a shame that the linked field inputs are all grey. If you can help me out with this one, would really appreciate it.
Hi, does anyone know how to copy fields of a form to another form? This in order to avoid adding the fields manually
I work at a nonprofit organization that is also a neighborhood association with dues paying membership. Currently, we have all programming participants in a main base that links them to events and other things. The records serve as almost a "client profile". I would love for the airtable database to also help us facilitate membership payments through Zapier and maybe even Stripe? Essentially, enabling folks to make a membership payment through Airtable OR allowing for their membership payment information to be filtered and recorded in their "client profile" in Airtable. Is there a way to do this? Does Airtable have an extension that will assist, or will I need something else to make it happen?
Good day fellow AT'ersI can copy paste multiple company names into an empty field of 'companies' in the interactions table. The result is that AT will add for every company a new interaction. For example, if I paste 3 companies, AT will add 3 new records of new interactions. This is great, but what if I want to add the 3 companies automatically into the field? I can do it manually, but if there are too much companies this is not feasable.
I know this is a duplicate of this post, but I’m not allowed to add to comments to that one, because it’s locked. I always have to delete those columns when creating a new table. And I always like to rename the first view as “Main”. It seems minor, but it is rather annoying, and I make new tables all the time. I am a web developer myself, and that allows me to say the following: I don’t feel this would take too many person-hours to fix. (That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong.) Just wanted to throw a vote that this gets implemented at some point.
I am looking for some guidance on how to move our progress invoicing to airtable. We have been using Airtable for a few years now and it works great in having everything centralized. Mainly using it as a custom built CRM.We are working on multiple projects simultaniously and need to submit progress claims to each of these projects monthly. Each project would have a minimum of one accepted Quote attached. Sometimes it has multiple accepted Quotes due to change orders...I have set it up in a way that whenever a quote is accepted it creates multiple line items in the Tasks/Line items table. One for each of the line items within the accepted quote. We then invoice a percentage of each of the line items at the end of every month. Question is:How do I set this up correctly to be able to do this the best way? Essentially I will need to pull the line items applicable for each approved quote within any given project and then apply a value for the qty (0.5 = 50% works well I think)See below s
Hi,Being somewhat new, I have a couple of questions about sharing views.I have a base for a book club. It has a Members table and a Books Read table. The Books Read table contains Date, Title, Author and Member who proposed the book. This field uses a link to the Members table itself. Works good so far.First question:I'd like to send an email to the members with a link to the grid view. I click "Share" from that view and copy the URL link, then add it to an email. Will that URL link change if I add records to the table, or if I add fields to the table? If not, I can continue to use that same link, right?Second question:Assuming the link doesn't change, I created a QR code with QR Tiger for that link. I'd like to embed the QR in the body of the email, along with the pasted link, so the recipient can either click/tap the link or use their camera to access the grid view. Is there any way to store the qr code itself (a png file) in the
Say I have this Base A. As I have more and more Tables added to it, I want to split it to twoBases A and B to better separate my workgflow. Is there a trick to make a table in base B keep linked to a table in Base A? I understand I can use Synced Table to achieve this somehow? My plan for now is to duplicate Base A and rename/make "Base A Copy" into Base B, and then delete the unrelated tables in each base to split them. Ie, in Base A, Tables 1, 2, 3 stays and 4, 5, 6 gets deleted; in Base A Copy (ie Base B) Tables 4, 5, 6 stays and 1, 2, 3 gets deleted). But Table 4 is linked to Table 1. Is the only way manually relinking everything? Thanks so much in advance.
Would it be possible to disable database snapshots, delete/clear out database snapshots, or configure snapshots to ignore specific fields? The way database snapshots currently function undermine any meaningful data deletion or redaction strategy for an active base. Our organization uses an automation to redact certain fields in our database for any record over X days/months old. While this automation cosmetically redacts the data, the original, pre-redacted data is preserved in the database snapshots. As database snapshots are not able to be deleted separately from the base they're attached to, the only way to ensure that redacted information is not preserved is to duplicate and then delete the database. While a workaround exists (duplication+deletion), it's tedious, creates broken links, and makes operationalizing a data retention policy difficult. As a base admin, I would like to be able to either disable database snapshots, exclude certain fields from snapshot functionality, or delete
Hi there: There are two records with to dates, I need to use the DATETIME_DIFF function, but it only works If I have the fields side by side, not in two diferent records. How can I work this out?
As others said, attaching facebook selfies to Airtable is not popular at work. But attaching sample pictures to records from web search *IS* one of activities enterprise customer employees do often.N-O-T a good choice. https://air.tableforums.com/t/web-search-in-adding-attachment-pictures-no-longer-avail-from-jan-30/1045
I have a fairly niche-type issue that I've not been able to figure out; for context, I've created a check in base optimized for a team of supervisors to check in/out staff using the Airtable mobile app. I have 2 tables linked together, where one represents 1 record for every shift (named "All Shifts"), which is linked to a table (named "BA Data") that houses the staff info of whoever is scheduled for a shift. I would like for my Supervisors to be able to open the linked record (aka "BA Data") while looking at the "All Shifts" table and be able to modify a "Current Location" field and a "Lead Notes" field (both are housed in the "BA Data" table). The navigation to do so seems to work just fine, but when a user opens the linked record from the mobile app, it appears that the Sort is defaulted to newest to oldest fields, in the order they've been modified; I know this because when I converted the oldest field to "Current Location" in order to bump it up to the top, the oldest fi
HiI have two tables Customers and Orders. They are linked on CustIDI want to be able to find the latest order date (Order Date) for each customerAny ideasThanksMike
I have a payroll base that tracks timesheets and commissionable transactions for our employees. It includes the following linked tables:EmployeesTimesheetsThe Employees table includes information for name, address, email, etc. Additionally, there is a Straight Time (ST) Hourly Rate field. We have thousands of records in the Timesheets table from daily entries submitted by employees. The submissions simply consist of:Employee NameStart Date/TimeEnd Date/TimeFormula fields calculate the number of hours worked. To calculate ST Gross Pay, a lookup field displays the ST Hourly Rate from the Employees table. That is multiplied by the number of hours worked. We recently decided to give an employee a raise in his ST Hourly Rate. My problem is that if John has a ST Hourly Rate of $20 and I change it to $21 then, based on the present calculations in the Timesheets table, all my historical records reflect the new $21 rate, which is not accurate. It was suggested that I create a Rate History table l
