Hi I am combining 2 fields (quantity and materials description) using the formula function (screenshot 1). I am then using the lookup field to display in one cell all the materials and quantities for one job in that one cell (screenshot 2). So far so good. I would like to be able to do a nice print out for the workshop staff but in order for it to look less cluttered, is there any way I could program it to display each (material & qty) to be displayed on a new line (new paragraph) within one cell? e.g. rather than 2 x 22mm MDF, 4 x 18 mm Birch plywood, 6 x inset hinges I would prefer it to look like this: 2 x 22mm MDF, 4 x 18 mm Birch plywood, 6 x inset hinges Any ideas gratefully received!

Is it possible when selecting "Link to another record" to be able to connect to multiple tables? I can only see the option to link to one table (multiple records, yes, but multiple tables, no)? Or any workarounds for this?I'm building out a content model and for some of the content types, the source content fields can come from multiple other locations, so I need to be able to reference this in my data model. Thanks!

I usually use linked record for choice option instead of single select, just in case of use with other tables. As my records keep growing, I am worried about the record limit.Does number of choice in single select also count as record limit per table?

Hi there! I'm trying to design a base with a public facing form for camp registrations. I was planning to use multiple select as the camp selections field, so folks can sign up for Camp A, Camp C, and Camp D all through one form. Where I'm running into issues is designing an automation that disables selections when they reach a total. For ex. only 12 people can register for Camp A, so when 12 form submissions come in with that selected, it needs to be removed from the list of options. In a different setup, I've used lookups, views, and table links to create this utility, but that was date/time based, so I could use it as the primary field. I can't use multiple select as a primary though, so I'm a bit stuck.

Hi, My team have being using the Airtable and the Kanban view for almost two years now. We have for a while lacked/cant set up a link between two tickets on the board. Just a simple link, so we don't forget an input or task.Is this possible? and how would i set this up?thanks! BestM 

I am creating a form for our website that I will need external users to fill out. I want to minimize user input error so I have created a table with state names/abbreviations to link to the form. When they start to fill out the state it populates options they can pick, but is there a way to make this look better by eliminaing showing where the data is going (it shows 'Leads' the table where it is going and I don't want customers to see that). Or is there a way to easily upload the state abbreviations that I have in the table without manually entering them all as a single select drop down option?Last question, I love the look of the interface form but from what I can tell this is not something you can share with outside airtable users via our website? Other than having them creative an airtable login, is this correct?

It contains a persons name, contact details  product and product reference, etcSecond table is a list of vendors/suppliers that have that particular product with product reference. The data is not entirely clean (structured) on the "new leads" table as the leads contain messages/text containing the reference number within it. First question: Is it possible to group and filter the new lead table with the vendor list in a way that would show the vendors that could supply to the following lead, using the product reference.Example:Lead Column: New Lead - Hi i am interested in "Item 123123-001" Vendor Column: Reference: 123123-001Would and could i need to use a formula to identify the reference within the l

I have failed at several attempts to create a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) in Airtable. I am looking to have Various Processes that an employee can choose from to create a series of tasks to complete based on that chosen SOP. I have searched in the templates and it doesn’t look like this has been done before. Any ideas how I could structure this? I would also like the ability to add and alter SOPs once they are created. I envision a main table with each employee and a list of the SOP’s they are in the process of and the tasks they need to do.

Hi there, we’re looking for an alternative solution to Jotform. We are wildlife rangers working in African National Parks. We use a Jotform to complete our ‘Daily Station Report’ which includes daily roll call and station statistics. We use ruggedised iPads, we open the form online, go offline to do roll call, and then go online to sync the form (I believe airtable can do same).Our challenge is the insanely convoluted and over complex back end. It takes an entire (frustrating) day every time we want to add a name to the roll call, because of the calculations which add up how many staff present, away, sick etc.We have 64 staff at this park in Zimbabwe, and the Staff Sgt has to read them out and tick the right box (present, away etc). So he can’t write in the name each day, or he’ll standing in front of the rangers for hours! We need a SIMPLE front end (see iCloud link to screenshot of current Jotform) to this, and the ability to EASILY make changes when need

Hi all,We have a marketing calendar table which links a CAMPAIGN to individual DISCOUNT records in another table. Each CAMPAIGN has 4 or 5 DISCOUNTS in successive panels, and so we have 5 linked records from each CAMPAIGN to the DISCOUNT table, labeled Panel 1 - Panel 5. I would like to have ideally one field in the DISCOUNT table corresponding to the date of the associated CAMPAIGN, but I can't figure out how to aggregate the multiple PANEL fields into one single lookup. Is this possible?I've tried Concatenate & run into issues with datetime format, as well as issues concatenating empty records). I'm sure there's a way to set it up with IF functions that might work, but figured I'd see if there's an easier way!For context, I know this might not be the most technically "correct" way to set this up, but I'm trying to convince my team to get on board with Airtable by replicating the functionality of a Google Sheets calendar they were using and adding in some a

My nonprofit is using an Airtable base to support and manage data from youth teams that are conducting service-learning projects. I have a table called "Teams" that holds all the data about each team. Then I created a form through Fillout.com where they can create new records in a table called "Project Plans." The first thing they do when filling out the form is to select their Team name, i.e. a field in the Project Plan table that links back to the Teams table.The problem is that before I understood how linked records work (creates a field in the table where it's created, but also a corresponding one back on the table that it links to),  I would notice the new field in table it was linking to and thought- what the heck is this extra field here? And then deleted it.I now need to create lookup and rollup fields in the Teams table, but have broken the link by deleting the corresponding field there. Hello, I'm brand new here. Air Table was suggested as a good option for what I need to do, but I need some guidance. (I can do basic things on google sheets or excel.)We're creating a church directory. We've gathered info from families, and someone typed them up in a doc... (Kicking myself for not having made a digital form to begin with!)What I will need to end up with is a database of families with adults and children, mailing address, phone and email (sometimes both for 2 adults), and birthdays and anniversaries. Also, a place to check if they will have a photo in the book, and a place to check that we've verified their info to be correct before including it in the directory. I will need to output 3 different things:The names of the family members to go under their photo. (Family name and individuals with adults named first)The directory contact info listing (Family Name, individuals, contact info)A calendar list of birthday

I need to track what resources are needed for each area of a project. They are similar - ex. XXX at Y quantity or ZZZ cut to A' by B". I need to link the resources needed with each project area.  Any ideas on how best to set this up? THANK YOU!

I am a project manager for a consulting company. We have a bank of questions we ask during our client interviews. I'd like to be able to create a process where our consultants can select specific questions from the master list based on the role of the person being interviewed and then be able to enter the specific answers to those questions for that interviewee. So, Consultant selects a subset of Interview Questions and enters the responses to those selected questions on the Interviewee record. Is there a way to do this in single base?

I have a huge database of contacts. I would like to group and categorize these into households/families.My initial thoughts were to group by last name. However many contacts share the same last name yet aren't in the same household. Similarly, some households have different last names.I've currently got a separate "single select" field called "household/family". THis does a good job at seperating the records; I'm not able to count how many options are being used though. Is there a better way to do this?Much appreciated on any ideas! Thaaanks

Hi guys. I made a connection with Make, so I can transfer every incoming email from certain accounts to a new data row in Airtable.The problems are the attachments. I am showing you in the pictures below how I would like them to appear and how they actually appears. We need every attachment to be shown in a preview as a separate file.. The Make-support thinks it is Airtable-problem, so I am grateful for any suggestion.Regards, Imelda

Hi I am a newbie to Airtable so please bear with me.I have been using JotForm to collect timesheet data from employeesand one field contains team members i.e. could be more than one team member in a single field and appear to be space separated in Airtable - in the JotForm itself this is a multiple select for each team member present that dayHow can I view/split this to make individual timesheets for each member listed in that cell i.e. duplicate the view for each one of those team members please?  This would then enable me to share each team members timesheet with them individually?The team member field looks like this:ThanksKalpesh 

Forgive my ignorance!  I have a column called Tickets.  I ultimately want this column to tell me how many tickets to each event AND separately, the number of tickets for the attendee for each event.  At the bottom of the table, I want a total number of tickets to a venue, despite there be multiple events at the venue.Do I have to create multiple columns to get this?
