Base Design

Does anyone have a database with all cities in the world? I'm hoping to use it so that people can select/search from a drop-down when selecting their location when filling out a form. I found one with all countries here.Many thanks in advance!

I have a Yes or No question in one column. I only want to enter data in the following column if the answer is Yes. If the answer is No the following column remains blank. So what I am looking for is the following:Caregiver Field: Yes or No.Caregiver Name: If yes, enter name of caregiverIs it possible if the answer is Yes, enter name of caregiver in the following column, and the next column would allow to enter a type of relationship. I have two tables: Tenders and Companies. Each record in the tenders table is a tender (contract) between a governmental entity and a company. The tender table has a column "keyword" which is a way to group similar tenders.I'll try to explain my problem with a demo base. Hi,I'm trying to create a new table using CSV file with field name and data type only, without sample data using Airtable interface, not API. For ex, Field 1,Field 2,Field 3text,number,dateThe expected output is a table with three fields named “Field 1”, “Field 2”, and “Field 3”. Hi, I am new (1 week) to Airtable.I have a Base with 2 tables. Table 1 has 1 Company field. Table 2 has 2 fields : Company and Database.Table 1 is filled with 200 records.Company1 / Database1Company1 / Database2Company1 / Database3Company2 / Database4Etc.....When I choose the Company Company1 in Table 2, then in the Database field I only want to see the records that are linked to Company1, namely Database1, Database2 and Database3.Is this possible!RegardsMichel

My company current has a pro plan.  Is there a way to group users by either creating another table or is Airtable planning on releasing this feature to pro plan users?

The column name is too long and doesn't move to new lines when I shrink the column. Can you suggest a way to move part of the name to a different line? Thank you for any suggestions!

Good day,I have a column named Final report type (Link to RPC) wherein if this is the company, then this should be the report type that should be seen. However, there are instances if the company is seen 2 or more times, the report type is not being disclosed (see screenshot). I would like to ask if this would be done via an automation script? or a simple editing of the field column? Thanks

I have a linked record field. What I want is the ability to then breakout these linked records into different fields, essentially different departments.However a lookup field on the primary field returns text, not the blue link field.This means I lose the ability to click into that record with added details, or navigate using interfaces. Any thoughts on making this possible?  

Can I filter and see results from all tables in a base?I’ve attempted to make a master table and link files to records from other tables but when filtering from within the “master table” it doesn’t search inside the linked record so it always pulls up as no results found. Is there a way to do this? Even being able to duplicate a record and apply it to a different table instead of only duplicating within its own table would be helpful to save me time copying and pasting every field. I am using mobile and I know it doesn’t have all of the options as the desktop version which is a bummer. But that’s possibly the source of my issues if these capabilities already exist in your desktop model. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Aside from filtering between tables I have no complaints and absolutely love the product.

In the free version of Airtable, I created a single select field, now I want to change it to a multiple select field. Is that possible?How do you do it?

I'm looking for help calculating a team's weekly capacity on projects that have a bucket of hours spread over multiple weeks (i.e. Copy = 20, Design = 40, etc.). Currently my reporting pulls in the entire amount. Ideally Airtable would automatically spread the hours out so if the above project took four weeks, each wee would have 5 hours for copy and 10 hours for design.Alternatively, I would be happy with formulas that would take into consideration remaining hours left on a project during a specific week. So if someone reported that they were 50% done with a project, the above project would have 10 hours of copy left and 20 hours of design. This calculation would need to be updated as the project progressed.

Hi,I already posted regarding this but thought I would try again to hopefully get fresh eyes on the issue.Our Company emails out individual records using the iOS app. The email previously displayed the record in a  table format, however now it is emailed as a hyperlink - which then directs to the table on the airtable website.Can someone please help with a solution to change it back to sending the email as a table. This change only arose since the latest couple of app updates.Thanks!

I'm new to AirTable but not automation. I've hacked together my Pipeline with Google Sheets and Zapier + a lightweight CRM. It still works okay, but I see an upside in moving to AT. It will be nice to have different views for the different employees based around primary role. Any suggestions or questions I need to be asking, would be very much appreciated. My biggest challenge is how to design my lead tracking base. Newbie to Airtable! 3 days old 🙂 I have a table where I capture list of all the work I am doing.  There is a numeric unique ID that is in the first field and the record has a number of columns Unique ID.  Col 1.  Col 2.  Col 3. Col 4. Col 5 I created a table which has the following fields and a form submission will populate this table XYZ1   XYZ2     XYZ3      XYZ 4 ....etcXYZ1 is linked to Col2. So when I create a form and try to use a drop down to select a value for XYZ1, I was hoping all the values in XYZ1 will be displayed but what is happening is the entire record is getting displayed rather than that field alone and XYZ1 has Unique ID value rather than the Col2 value. How do I get to the below stage.When i submit the form, XYZ1 field should show me all the values in field Col2 and then display on that col in XYZ1 &nbsp

We've added Interface-only users to our AirTable Interface. How can I prevent users from adding them to the full Base?  The Base contains sensitive data that Interface-only users should not have access to.  I've noticed multiple times that Base users have invited Interface-only users to the Base.

Hey, all!I was wondering if there is a way to gain the sum of values based on column data. Here is what I'm looking for:I have four tables--materials, packets, procurement, & purchase orders. I link the materials to the procurement table to populate all the details of the material. I link the packet to that line item to signify what I'm charging to (it has job info and everything). Then I need shipping and receiving to check the items in so that we can determine that everything from a given packet has been received which is being validated by the purchase order. What we currently have to do is check every line item in as received. This is rather tedious, and all I really want is to determine that everything on the purchase order is being received. Additionally, if I can solve this, I would love a sum of how much of each material I have in stock for a given job, not a given packet as there are multiple packets per job. I have a base where there is load list table that depicts every load on a power system (e.g. motor #1 of 10 hp). I have an instrument list table that depicts every instrument on the site (e.g. flow meter). I want another table that has all the inputs/outputs (IO) for the control system (an I/O list).An example is analog input from a sensor or digital output to a motor.How can I set up this IO list that it links to both the load list and the instrument list as needed? The IO list should have all the IO from the entire site, which means it will have IO for devices on the load list and have IO for devices on the instrument list.I can set it up so there are linked fields in the IO list, one for load list and one for the instrument list, but then I have one blank on each row (as the IO is either from the load list or instrument list). Is this the best way?

Hello, trying to set an advanced filter and it's not working.  Thinking I'm perhaps missing something obvious?  Looking to filter for projects that I'm working on and which are not "done" or "abandoned" or blank in their status.  See screenshots of my filter and what is currently displaying on the base (currently still showing done/abandoned items).  Thanks for tips/suggestions!Alex
