Base Design

I have limited knowledge of AirTable and JIRA integration and I am trying to view each row in their own respective "Sprints," however, some issues within each sprint overlap. How can I separate the additional sprints from each row and have issues move over from one issue to the next if not completed in the current sprint? I can provide additional information if needed. Thanks!

I have a Payment Interface with a Form that creates a new record in my Payment table.  There is a field for Dues Amount and another for Donation Amount.  Both are define with a Currency data type, and with a Default Value of $0.00.  In most cases only one of these fields will be updated by the User.  The problem is that the default value is not being applied to the field the User fails to update.What am I missing?  It appears that the Default Value feature that is available when defining the field characteristics (e.g., name, data type, default value), doesn’t work properly.

I'm trying to create a list with 3 levels and nested records on level 1.Nested records in lists view are records that link to records in the same table.So, I assume they're supposed to work like child records.But, in lists view, they still show up in level 1, as well as in the nested record area. And, as far as I can tell, there's no way to filter out the child/nested records.Has anyone figured out a way around this?I want to filter out nested records so they only show below their parent record, but not in level 1 records.I realize that this might be hard to understand, so I attached a photo.I feel like nested records should work in reverse, somehow.Nested records should refer to their parents, not their children, if that makes sense. Maybe I'm just not understanding how this is supposed to work.

Hello, Airtable fam!We have reached our 50,000-row max and need 100,000 for our dataset for a grant-funded research project. Is there any way to get more rows without upgrading to the Enterprise plan? We do not need any other features that come with Enterprise, and as a nonprofit, we can not afford the plan. We just need more rows. Is there an "Enterprise Lite" plan?Thanks all!C

Hi everyone, I have a table with a button field. Sometimes I need to click the button for one record, and sometimes I need to click it for multiple records. Is there a way to select all the buttons and have them activated. Sorry if my question doesn’t make sense. I’m just trying to save myself from hundreds of clicks.

I'll give an example to explain what I'm trying to do.  If I have employee x and I have 2 separate tables which schedules employees for a specific day, lets say 6 March 2023.  Is there a way to ensure employee x is not selectable as an employee in table 2 if they are scheduled in table 1 for 6 March 2023 already.  I already have 4 tables separating 4 different sets of instructors, which links to my schedules for my teams of students going through training.  At any given time I have 8 teams of students which all overlap each other on the same day.  So to make life easy for scheduling purposes, I want to ensure if employee x is scheduled on lets say Team 1, can I ensure employee x is not selectable on Team 2 schedule.  I hope I explained this well, and thank you for your time.

Hi,I have an airtable database that captures information from a tally form.One of the fields in the database is date created which is a formula and is the date when the form was filled in.Anyone can fill the form and I want to capture the time zone of who is filling in the form.Can airtable capture the time zone (of the person filling the form) together with the date and time of when the form was filled?I want to sent email reminders with automations based on the timezone of the specific user and creating different automations that work well with the different timezones will not work in my case.Thanks  

Hello,I am new to AT and am trying to create a Gallery view of my data. I can see how to enable rich text formatting in my long text fields, but I am wondering if there is a way to apply that formatting globally to a field instead of cell-by-cell. For instance, I would like all of the Project Names to be bold and h1 (# in markup), but I can't see how to make that happen. Thank you for your help! 

I have a base set up with a few tabs - one is vendor tracker with 30+ columns and another is a payment tracker for those vendors. I have multiple views set up of the vendor tracker (for ease of viewing and not seeing the 30+ columns) - contracting, payments, etc. and have linked columns so the records pull from the payment tracker. All works fine in the main view, however, when I go into any alternate views I lose the ability for the linked records to auto-populate.Any ideas? 

Hello.I've been using airtable to create a database for equipment files in a research facility.Now I would like to use it to organize our team weekly tasks calendar. Some of these tasks are performed on equipment that is in my first database.We are a team of 17 co-workers and most of the tasks need to be performed every day of the week in a set of locations (rooms). We always assign each task-location to one or 2 co-workers. There are some tasks performed only in specific days of the week in specific locations. Altough the tasks-location combo for each day of the week repeats between weeks, we keep the assigned co-worked in a rotation basis and this assignement is done on the week befire, to take into account their availability.I need help creating a base were we can have our tasks weekly calendar connected to the equipment database so people can record the maintenance/cleaning procedures performed in each serial number, and at the same time to generate a

I've built a task list table, and have some recurring tasks that comes with sub tasks in another table that are linked.I am hoping that when my Task is completed, airtable will create the exact same task, except to change the dead line based a formula field, and link up to a new set of sub tasks also created once this main task is done.I am doing this because I want to keep record of when the records were completed, using the last modified date field.Is this possible?

Hi there! We run various festivals and events, and have a base of around 400-500 volunteers who help us out on these events. For our last event, we moved all volunteer management over to Airtable which worked like a charm. I have all my volunteers in one table (with their personal data such as emails, phone numbers, food allergies etc.), and in another table I have the available time slots from our last event, such as "Ticketing on July 2nd from 0900-1000". I used a form under my Volunteer-table to fill the vacant time slots for our last event.Now, I've set up the time slots for our next event in a third table, and would like to reach out to our volunteers and ask them to sign up. However, I already have most of their data, so ideally, I would enable them to update their records with their chosen new time slots. If not, I would get a lot of duplicate records. Are there any way to do this? Ideally I would also enable the volunteer to update some of their record dat

Hi all...I'm sure this has been asked before so apologies for asking again. I have searched but any article I think might give me the guidance I need ends up getting confusing...possibly due to my lack of understanding but I think at this stage, my best option is to ask myself.I've created a purchase order system and it's all working fine except for one thing. For the purchase order number, I want it to be "Year-Cost Centre-Number" with the number component being a sequential count of previous orders for that same cost centre. That sequential count is where I'm running into bother - so far all I've managed to achieve is a sequential count of all purchase orders which works, but it's not my ideal set up. My base structure is:Purchase Requests table - this is the main table and is meant to manage the whole purchase order processCost Centres - table of all cost centres, linked back to the Purchase Requests table

Hello eveybody, I am wondering if it is possible, when we want to add a new record (in a linked record field) not to have the possibility to select from an existing record but only to add a new one. Indeed, we are using in some cases this functionnality for part of the tram to link some procedure or consultation to a specific case (we go legal work) but the team seem confused when the list of existing consultations appear. We would like to give them only the possibility to create a new entry. Is it a possibility? I am also wondering if the preview of the record can be limited to the name of the record and not to include all those many information (also confusing the team a lot).  Thanks in advance.  

I am building an inventory management base for my business and am running into a design problem:1. I have a table for parts.2. I also have a table for assemblies. Each assembly record has a field that links to multiple records from the parts table.Simple, however, I want to be able to say how many of each part goes into an assembly. Parts go into different assemblies in different quantities, so that data can’t (and shouldn’t) be stored in the part record.How can I say one assembly uses 2 of a part and a different assembly uses 3 of that part. (And I need a table of all the assemblies.) Hope that makes sense! I would appreciate any solutions.

I have a base that stores plant information, including photos of each plant in an attachment field. I use a formula to put the attachment URL into a field. Here's what I do with that information to create a web map of my plants:1. Download a CSV of a table that contains the relevant data, including the attachment URLs.2. Upload the CSV into ArcGIS Online to serve as the data for a web map.3. Use the Attachment URL field data to display the plant photos in map pop-ups. Hey Airtable community,My service business has multiple income streams, ranging from one-time to ongoing projects.I am attempting to create a table that can total both one-time revenue and requiring revenue for the month that income comes in. I am having a hard time getting my head around how to do this.I first have a date column with the date the project started and then a formula column that formates the date to just the month so that I can group by month.Currently, I'm only accounting for one-time revenue. I was thinking I could create another date column with automation to duplicate on the same day every month for recurring payments. From here, I don't know how I would total both one-time and recurring payments in a given month?Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I run a small company that makes products using parts from an inventory and sells them to vendors. I'm trying to achieve the following - I receive an order, I enter the order as an invoice which includes all the information about which products are ordered, the database checks the amount of raw parts I have in stock and tells me whether I have enough to make the products in the order. Currently I have few tables with junctions between them - a table with a list of parts, a table with the details of products and what parts are needed to make them, a table with a list of products with each product as a one line entry. Then I have invoices and a junction with invoice detail which use the product information. Currently I am using a one line entry to indicate whether an invoice is yet to be made or completed, I want a system that will tell me which parts I need to complete an invoice and then whether I have enough, which parts of the order can be made ok and which
