Hi everyoneI’m really pleased with this Airtable system I just built for project and team management. and launched in my store on gumroad today.It works by having two interfaces connected to the same base: one for the project managers, one for the team. The manager enters basic employee data, including their contracted hours, and assigns them to projects. Employees can then see the projects to which they’re assigned in their own interface, interact with each other through the chat, log any expenses their projects have accrued, and submit reports. They can also “clock in” and out again, which timestamps their entries and tracks this data with the time assigned by the manager for each project. When a project has multiple people assigned to it, the time assigned for working on the project is divided equally among them (e.g. a 30 hour project assigns 10 hours to each team member to working on that project). The idea is to encourage collaboration and accountability for teams

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, but Airtable is a perfect platform if you want to set up a simple message board for a team of people. I built this interface to do just that.You can post messages, reply to conversations and edit your own messages. One automation and a few tweaks to the settings and you can allow users to edit or delete their own messages, but only reply to those posted by others. Conversations are added to an ongoing "log" with each message so you can easily keep up with any discussions.

Hello all,I have 2 different bases one for Employees and one for Equipment.  I have synced the Employee table to the Equipment table to assign Employees to different pieces of equipment linked to the sync data.  I see the new fields in the synced table in the Equipment base, but I don't see the Equipment showing up on the Employee base.How do I get it to sync back to the original base? and show in other tables that based is synced to.Thank you in advance for all your help.

Hello, In my Airtable's "PEOPLE" Table, we stored many people's name records—more than 15,500 records. I aimed to identify those name records whose spelling is the same as any particular person's name. I developed the following scripting codes using the Scripting Extension in Airtable. When I tested it with another table with a small number of name records, less than 10, it worked well. However, when testing the code with a table with many people's names, the script's running was not complete. This issue could be related to the large number of records in the Table. Please note the following regarding my "PEOPLE" Table: 1) Table name: PEOPLE, 2. Primary field name: English Name, and 3. "Duplicate Name" is a checkbox field, which means if a tick is created for any name, that name has more than one record. Posting this in case this can help anyone solve an issue or in case there is anyone who can think of how to do it better. I was asked to create a corporate event calendar that housed all 5 corporate event calendars in a single base and included 3 specific items:Enforce all event times have a time zone of PSTAllow easy All Day or Continuous All Day MeetingsCreate recurring events that can be created daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. Additionally there was a caveat that one calendar type needed to include weekends while the others did notTo solve for this I created a single table called Internal Calendars and included the following fields:Event Occurrence - Single Select that allows the user to pick the type of scheduling for their event(s): All Day, Continuous All Day, Conference Event, Recurring Event and HolidayStart Day - Date field used to select the date an event will start.Start Time - Single Select that has times in 30-minute intervals.&nbsp

I am trying to use Airtable to consolidate all the ways we manage your ad inventory (we are a publisher of websites). Ideally, I would like a form where ad sales rep can enter all information when a campaign is booked, and see in a calendar view what’s available or not. Once entered, the campaign would trigger deadlines (for client to give brief; for writers to create content; for client to give final approval, etc…) and notifications and reminders would be sent. If you have experience with this kind of thing please respond here.

I want to create a table that matches waivers (from Jotform) and money transactions (from Square) to show a client has checked in and checked out, to verify payout for the tattoo artist who worked with them. From my limited knowledge of Zapier and other programs I have used I think this is possible but I haven't used airtable before and I am trying to get something set up before the new year and the learning curve is too much for me to figure it out right now. Is something like this possible? And can anyone get it up and running for a one time cost? Thanks!

Need help with building a data base to collect building information. Basically, to create a program that uses forms to collect information regarding sites inspected such as space/room, materials that may contain environmental hazards, quantity of the material and then identify the samples collected (matching to the materials identified). Then provide reports from the data collected (on custom forms). I have started the process, but would like feedback and expertise on best practices. In addition, learning how to use airtable a bit better including, airtable database structure,  scripts and organizing data to provide table reports.I plan to do the work with support from someone who knows airtable much better than I do. Thank you.

We have a grid view generated, which shows us the percentage per column (it is a room occupancy rate).We would like to get a total occupancy rate per time period calculated. But we have no idea, how to approach it.Does anyone has an idea how to do it?

Hello 🙂I am creating a scenario in Make(Integromat) to resize images, and compress if they exceed 5MB in size.Bellow is the screenshot of the scenario I have created, but it is not working as expected.   I use HTTP to check the resized image size in MB  From here on, I am no longer sure what I did wrong, but Get multiple variables does not give me the resizes and compressed image. If the scenario received two images, one being resized and other compressed, I get two same compressed images.  I would really appreciate help.Thank you, Pjero 🙂
