Hello to all Airtable fans!I am making a game on Airtable. It's a football manager or a football club simulator. When I started the development, I set a condition for myself - the game will be played using only the built-in functionality of Airtable - data, forms, interfaces, automations, scripts. No external integrations that take the game's logic outside. Developing this game for me is primarily about exploring the limits of Airtable's capabilities.The gameplay is quite primitive for now - you can buy/sell players, conduct training, send a team to a game, match generation, stadium expansion.I am now recruiting players for the first test season.Registration requires an Airtable account (I will share interfaces). Hi!I've been building a platform called powersync that aims to provide easy-to-setup real-time functionality on top of Airtable. Besides an existing `schema changelog` engine that allows to track changes to fields and tables in an airtable base, the platform now also offers these bi-directional airtable record -> slack message flows.On the powersync side you select a base, table and a condition for sending messages to slack. But as opposed to native integration, the Slack message also updates if the Airtable record updates. And there's an option setup editable fields and custom flows on emoji reactions.I'd like to do more in this area, perhaps a configurable AI chatbot to do CRUD operations directly from Slack. Did you know Airtable custom interfaces could generate SOUND 🎸🎸🎸?For sure, I didn’t. In fact, when thinking about what to build for the AT Community-Led Hackathon, I tried to find something that would really take Airtable to its limits.Something that shouldn’t be possible (and I could always go back to basics for my final submission). I have been testing out the recent Display names for linked records feature and realized that there is a flaw in the design although Support confirmed that it was working as intended. What I’m seeing:The linked record picker correctly shows the configured display name.The linked table’s Primary Field is populated for all records.Visibility conditions evaluate correctly at runtime.However, when configuring Visibility Conditions on forms or record detail layouts, the selected linked record values appear as “Unnamed” in the configuration UI. You can search for the ‘Display Name’ that you configured in the field during configuration but after you select those values, you get ‘Unnamed’. From my experience Unnamed is when a record has no data in the primary field but in my scenario it does. It only displays the Unnamed when you enable the ‘Show display name instead of primary field’. Impact:It’s not possible to review, audit, or troubleshoot visibility logic, because the conditions are unrea

Ever since Airtable changed their Attachment URL expiry window to 2 hours, I had to setup automations using Make to upload files to S3.This worked great, but I recently build a custom extension to get this to work without using Make.So, I started building an Airtable extension to bridge this gap. The goal is to keep it all inside the Airtable UI (see the screenshot of what I have so far): You select your attachment field. The extension mirrors the file to a permanent bucket in the background. It writes the non-expiring CDN URL back to a field of your choice. I’m still polishing this, but I wanted to see if anyone else would actually find this useful compared to the current Zapier/Make methods.Is "reduced friction" enough of a reason to switch, or are most of you happy with your current S3 setups? If there's enough interest, I'll keep pushing to get this ready for a public release.

I faced this problem as we had to track daily metrics for each employee, which ended up generating dozens of records a day.  This became a problem pretty quickly for obvious reasonsAs a workaround, I ended up setting up a system to archive the old data while leaving the original base alone, and the steps are pretty much:Create a new base for archiving purposes Create a synced view and sync it to the new base In the sync settings, toggle on ‘Leave records when they are deleted or hidden in the source’ Create a heartbeat in the destination base This is important as syncs only happen on bases that have activity on them Set up an automation in the main base to delete the old records---1. Create a new base for archiving purposesI’m pretty sure everyone knows how to do this one, so I’m just going to skip it heh 2. It worked great at the time, and they were really happy with it. But this week, SuperAgent might have officially changed my mind. 🤯I’ve been back in the "vibe coding" lane within Airtable; the Omni upgrades of late are producing some stunning interface results. Now it was time to test out SuperAgent. I fed it a dataset I know inside out: the Product Ops Confidential Product Operations 2025 Salary Survey. Hi, We’re currently running our business using a software package called Squeegee, but we’ve reached the point where it doesn’t allow us to scale effectively. We’re now looking to build stronger internal systems using Airtable and modern automation tools. Really impressed by an initial test use case! From a basic prompt on a very broad topic - Changes Over Time in the UK Pay TV Market - the AI generated sections and market analysis were on point and factually accurate in nearly every area - a vast improvement on other common AI tools.More impressive still was the quality of the final report - the interactive visualizations are way ahead of anything else I’ve trialled to date. It’s useful to see the sub agent tasks and reasoning, data sources etc.I managed to make a couple of corrections to reports with further prompts, although even a simple text change seemed to take a few minutes (I’d be curious how many credits a simple change like this would take). An ability to make manual changes to the reports to quickly tweak would be great - perhaps this is do-able via the download option but as yet I’ve been unable to get the .json files to recreate the web based report (probably due to my own lack of knowledge in this area, but a “how to” gui
