Hi, newbe to Airtable which is great, except a few nigglesI've set up an Interface for Mobile and viewed it on iPhoneIn Kanban view in the iPhone App it only displays a list of #RecordNumbersWhen you click on a record number then, sure, you can see the whole record, but I want the Client Name field displayed, otherwise the user has to carry a list of #RecordNumbers vs #ClientName with them to know which is whichCan I do this?
Hi Airtable Community, I have two questions regarding the interfaces. How / where can I set who can share an interface? I don’t want everyone to be able to share informations. Can I set that certain users / user groups can only see certain pages of an interface? Thank youBestMirko
Hello,In the photo below some of the names in the linked field are cut off. This is extremely annoying and I cannot figure how to get the entire name to show. On the desktop this is less of an issue (2nd photo) but I think it has something to do with the formula and the line break in the Pallet ID field. In the base, the pallet id and materials fields have no line breaks in the content. Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying and inconsistent line break? Or just show the full name? Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi thereAs in the title, the error "Cannot access this data" has started appearing on some Interface pages.I have base access and am not seeing this issue. The issue has only occurred for collaborators with Interface-only access. It's happening on Interface pages that were created as Lists and Grids.Duplicating the page with issues fixes the issue.
Hi everyone,An interesting Restriction / Bug I've found but unsure if anyone can help?I have a basic list view that lists Tasks, with associated Subtasks as drop downs by using the 'Levels' setup. With this basic, 2 level setup I now can't Group my Tasks by Status? Anything I add in the 'Group' option on the right (no matter where I have selected on the window) only affects the Subtasks that are nested, not the parent TaskAny ideas? Thanks!
Hi all, I have the following issue:I have 3 different Interfaces: WorkTeamProduct RelatedEach with multiple Views. The "Team" Interface is more like team internal. So I want to share the "Work" and "Product Related" Interface with most of the company via a link. However, as soon as I select more than one Interface, the "Invite by link" option is gone. Is there a way to do it? A colleague with the free plan mentioned that he is able to share multiple Interfaces at the same time. We didn't figure out what is different though. Would be little bit annoying/confusing if everything has to click on 2 links. Single Interface selected: Multiple selected:
Hello AT community, Can we embed Airtable interfaces (dashboards) to website or Notion for exemple ? Thanks
I designed some simple list based interfaces for my database. when loading them in app on android or iOS, I get an error message:"this page is not currently supported on mobile. open the page on desktop to view it"Not sure why this wouldn't be supported. each page is just a list element with some filters. a couple use groups, and a couple have a filter element. apps are all current (6.4.0 on android & 10.7 on iOS).
I have a ticketing system built out in interfaces. Id like for people to have ability to "thumbs up" an open ticket. Almost like a community voting on which feature I should add next. Ideally, would love to only let each user vote once per record id but I know thats alot to ask for. Is there a way I could accomplish this via a clever button or something? On an Interface page I just display a grid of open tickets, and would be great if you could just click a Button field inside of the grid to vote up on it.
We a long term property rental company in Thailand and we keep getting requests such as need additional towels, pillows or something broken to be fixed in rooms or cleaning to be done. We are a remote team and our housekeeping/technicians will fulfill these requests. Unlike normal hotels which have a dedicated staff within their properties, we have taken multiple rooms in multiple properties on lease. Hence a dedicated staff for each property is not economically viable. I want to create a form for each of our customers who would wish to get the services we want. These services can broadly be classified into three types at the moment:1) Need some supplies (like towels, iron boards, drying racks, coffee maker, etc.)2) Cleaning of rooms to be done3) Something broken/not working to be fixed (like Wifi, AC, TV, water heater, etc.)I have attached a pic which depicts the workflow. Need help in preparing a schema as well as a form which can establish the above explained objective
Hi everyoneI have an Interface built out that has a record picker with fields and such below. I'm wondering if theres another way to get a user to that page and pre-fill the record picker. If I let users just expand details via a grid/list/gallery it's not as in-depth as if I use a record picker + regular page combo, so I want to get users there another way. I tried using ?prefill but it didnt work. Maybe someone knows of a workaround? Wish you could connect a filter to a record picker, but ya can't. I'm just trying to make charts and graphs and have more than 2 buttons in a grouping 😭
Damien
Hello everyone,I tried out the project management template and found some functions that I couldn't find in the normal Interface Designer. Do some templates simply have additional functions that cannot be replicated? For example this sorting function: Or the ability to call up a form without being redirected to a new URL.Or the option to choose between list and timeline. I would love to have these functions.BestMirko
I have some interfaces that would be so much cleaner and user friendly in the new interface formats if there was a way to show summary details, and then add a button action that opens a side sheet for detailed view/editing of additional data.Is this possible, either through current feature sets or workarounds? I know i can open a side sheet if there is a linked record to click on, but in some cases there is too many linked records so i want to hide them and be able to open sidesheet exposing all details of those linked records as a view. Adding them as a view within main interface makes it clunky.
1. Say you have 2 pages in Airtable interface (page 1 and page2)2. The actions a user needs to take are located in different 2 grids, respectively located on page 1 and page 23. Currently we need to set the filter manually in Page 1 and again manually in Page 2.Is there a way/workaround to retain the filter parameters set up in Page 1 when navigating to Page 2?Apparently we cannot pass parameters to filters via URL parameters either 😕😕
If I have Filter Tabs enabled and I click 'Add records,' if I don't manually populate the fields that the filter is using, the record is filtered out of view immediately after it is created. It might be useful to have the fields and values specified in the current tab's filter automatically applied to the new record I created, at least as an option. I think in many cases this would be a more intuitive behaviour for users.
I have a dropdown in an interface form to select a record - is there a way to sort those records? Right now they are sorted randomly...
Hi! Below is a screenshot of what my current interface looks like, and the two fields in question are highlighted yellow.I thought these two fields would allow my team to add new contacts and update existing ones respectively. However, when this form is submitted, a new row is created regardless of which client option my team fills out. Rather than new information being linked to an existing client through the use of the drop down menu, a new row is created. Is there a way to make this distinct function for each of these fields?Thank you!
Hello everyone!I'm looking to sell the tool that I created in Airtable as a subscription to other people. Or potentially as a one time sell. What would be a good way to make this available to them? I don't want others to be able to see the code that's the basis of the tool. I also don't want to pay a lot for each individual user (which I know some interface tools are expensive). What would be the best suggestion for this? Or is Airtable not the best platform for it?
Is there any possible way to run Data Fetcher from the Interface?I have created a Button following this info https://help.datafetcher.com/advanced-options/run-request-from-button-field but this resides in the data which is not ideal. I want to be able to fetch the data on demand with the click of a button from the interface without ever opening the data. Is this possible
I have a pie chart with a lot of values but a large quantity of them are '0' in certain slices of the data. Is there a way to hide/remove the '0' values from the legend?
Hi!I am testing airtable to see if we can use it to accomplish our needs and have hit a snag with this Project Profiles interface. I created a spreadsheet that feeds the interface, each row is a "project" but I need to display associated data at the bottom of the interface in table format. There is a way to do this by linking to a separate table, but I don't see a way to set the tables as an intuitive 'child' to the given project so that the process is more automated.
See this?It displays a grid view of records from a specific table. The tab labeled "All entries" is unfiltered; under "More," there are other tabs available showing the same data with pre-set filters. I have no idea how I got those tabs to be available and I cannot find them anywhere now. What I really want is to have different tabs displaying data from different tables according to a record picker selection. The first table is "Clients," and the others are all linked to "Clients" and have different items that are related to specific "Clients" records (billing, events, job histories, whatever for each Client in Clients). Being able to pick a Client and have one interface page with multiple tabs for those other tables would really streamline what I now do with separate interface pages in which I have to select the same Client over and over again to work on one client but in different interface pages. Suggestions are welcome - thanks.
Hello, I find it difficult to work with time frames in Airtable. Am I missing something?Example:Let's say I'm selling cars and with each sale I add it as a sold car record to Airtable with its details.Manufacturer: AudiType: A6Date: 22/3/2024Price: 50 000 €Condition: NewNow I have a DB of all cars sold in last 4 years and I would like to make an interface where I would filter variables (type of car, condition, ...) and timeframe it was sold in to see my average monthly sales of cars that corresponds with my filter. So basically I would know that based on data from last 24 months, I've sold avg. of 0.8 Audi A6 per month.Any ideas? Thanks.
Is it possible to only show certain fields to certain users? For instance, if someone is logged in and has an email that ends in @whatever.com, we can mark that field only visible to those users.Any other suggestions would be welcomed!
