Interface Designer

Hi all - I've noticed a new issue in interfaces. When I add a text element, it does not expand to show multiple lines of text. In the screenshots below, see that I've added a text element containing a bulleted list with two lines. They both appear when I'm clicked into the text box (although the blue box only surrounds the first line), but as soon as I click out of the text box the second line disappears. I cannot find a way to resize it. Didn't the resizing used to happen automatically as more lines were added?I feel like this has just started happening recently. Has anyone else noticed this issue?Thanks,Kelsey

@Phil_Rose @LarsJohnson I'm not sure who to direct this to, so I hope one of you can help.I need to get some idea of what is going on with the changes that seem to be going on.  I have a interface designed for a client, and finally have reached the point were I am getting to have them upgrade their production account.  To get ready I needed to make some final changes based on their feedback using my test account.I needed to add some list pages with sidesheets that are where some fields are made editable.  The ones I have on the existing test interface were easy to format and allowed resizing of the fields as well as positioning several on a line.  A partial section looks likeWith the changes that have been made all I can do is stack the field

I have two tables in my base - Organisation (Fields: Name, Company Tag, Industry tag, location, Okay to fund) Funder (Fields: Name, Company tag, Industry tag) My interface needs to do the following: Select a funder from the investor table.Select the location country from the organisation table. I have developed an interface and published to regular users, having two different tables. However, currently, it only permits users to search within a single table. Is there a way to enable users to conduct searches across both tables from this interface? 

Anyone else having issues with the Interface Designer? Mine is so laggy I can't even use it. 

HiI am new on Interface, and I need to know it the thing I want to do can be done and how.  I have a database with thousands of records o cases we are working on.  I need to be aware and in control of several situations, each record is about a case and every case needs start with a formal notification to the a 3rd party, so in the table there is a field with the notified title and 2 posible answers yes or not.In my interface I want to see how many cases have not been notified,  I know I can create a Page in the interface with a record summary and a filter, an then create a button on the interface to open the record summary page.  But, what I want to do is not only see all the cases that are not notified, but also have the possibility to open each record in a diferente page, and work with the record, like edit the fields.  Is that posible? 

I'm using sidesheets in Interface Designer and want to add sections/groups for organization. Maybe it was luck, but I do have one sidesheet with sections that I cannot reproduce. View the screenshots. One is my base, and the other is from Airtable documentation.How can I add sections to a sidesheet when they are not available?

Hi All, I would like to create a button for the Airtable Interface which adds 6 months to today's date. Upon pressing the button, I want the date field to be updated to today's date + 6 months.Is this possible?Would love to hear your solution for this!Thanks!

Hi, I am creating a chart that shows Purchase Orders grouped by status, but I am getting a group for "null." The status field is a drop-down single select with the 3 options below.  I've confirmed that the status of all records is not empty. I have also tried manually adding a filter to filter out records where the status is empty, but I still get the "null" group. How can I get rid of the "null" grouping in the chart?  

Hello everyone 🙂 Working on learning Interfaces, which are pretty neat! I have a pair of lists that I am bringing in with some fields I need NOT editable by the user, but some that are (see image, only the 3 arrows show the fields I want editable)Is there a way to do this without adding extra fields that are something like formulas to show name etc? I'm sure it is something very simple that I am missing!Thanks!

Hello!  Is it possible to make a URL that opens a specific date on an Interface with a Calendar? You can link to specific dates on Calendar Views by adding "?date=YYYY-MM-DD" to the end of the URL. Is the same functionality or something similar available for Calendar Interfaces?I've looked through a bunch of help pages, and can't find anything that mentions it one way or the other.--The first issue I'm trying to solve is that when you search for an event on a calendar interface, you have the ability to open the event details, but not the ability to jump to that event on the Calendar (this is the only thing I miss from Google Calendars, but I miss it a lot). The only option is to navigation arrow click through weeks/months until you reach that date, which is extra annoying if the date happens to be years in the past or future. I could potentially fix

Hello,Is it possible to combine multiples of identical x-axis values in the interface chart?I have multiples of identical x-axis values and I want to combine those values into 1 bar.I could make a special summary table with a roll-up but then the person using the interface would not be able to filter the records the way they want, so I need the chart to show all the records and be connected to the accessible filter element in the interface.

As of this morning, Grid Elements have been showing an error message:"No Records found for [email address] that match current filters. Remove filters to see more results."Tested with List Element instead and that's working fine.  Any idea when this will be fixed? My team relies on Grid elements to access their workflow.

When I @mention someone on Interphase and they get an email notification to link them to the base to see the comment, is there a way to link them to the Interphase via that notification? I’m running into a bit of trouble with @mentioning someone and they’re taken to a gridview instead of the Interphase view. My gridviews and my interphase shows different fields so when they’re taken to a grid view, they don’t see the necessary information/fields.

Hello everyone!I ran into a problem which I currently have no idea how to resolve.I have a script using an API call which logs the user into external system. This is not an automation script, but the script from a scripting extention. This is because fetch() function behaves differently and only passes authentication data when used in scripting extention. I can run the script pressing a field button in a grid layout.Data grid:Now I need to provide the user with an interface button that would finally resulted with logged in state. But this seems not as easy as it can be imagined. It is not possible to directly call a script with a button action as it is only capable of running an automation script, not scripting extention.Interface:

Hello --As of this morning, when my team logs onto any interface with search enabled (on a grid), it is almost instantly searching the table for that user's email. I do not have "Viewer's records only" selected, and when I am in the editor view the search bar is blank. It's almost like it's trying to treat the stored information from the user's browser as a login (note: it is happening across multiple browsers).It has happening across multiple interfaces and interfaces that pull from multiple tables. I don't know if this is a known issue, or if there's some global setting I didn't know about that I've accidentally toggled.Thank you 🙂

So I have a table called "Dealerships" and a table called "Services". Each record in "Services" has a date, an amount, and a link to "Dealerships". I'm creating an interface that will aggregate these, so I can know the amount that came from each "Dealership". I know I can do this with a Rollup, but the problem arises when I try to use a Filter element in the Interface.I have a "Dashboard" page and a "List" element sourced from "Dealerships". This list contains both the Dealership name and the rolled-up amount.I need the user to be able to select a date range via a Filter and have the Rollup be updated to only add up the services that match those dates. I haven't been able to find a way to do this. The closest I came to a solution was to use 2 levels in the List, which actually DOES filter the services in the 2nd level but does NOT change the value in the Roll-up accordingly.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible to create a new record from within an interface's form lookup field?I'm running into an issue where I need to be able to use a lookup field in my form, but often need to create a new lookup field record on the spot.  See below image with what I need, but must not be an option.  

Is this simply being overlooked right now by Airtable? Currently we "add new records through a form".  However, the form lacks the capability to "create a new record" for a lookup field.  However, I noticed, that in an interface, if you turn on the ability to edit/delete records in-line, then you get the ability to create a new record directly from the lookup field.  Seems like this is something that just hasn't been rolled out yet?  Editing/adding records inline, isn't a great solution for our workflow, so really trying to figure this out! I have the calendar working and syncing with all my accounts. I am looking for a way to align the appointments in columns based on with email the appointment is made with. Currently all appointments get aligned left and if there is a opening in the schedule, those appointments shift left and are no longer aligned top to bottom.  I only care how it looks on the public shared calendar.

Hi, I've put together a few Interface pages that I'm very happy with. Dashboard pages allow you to add various elements together in the same page, but for any other page type this option disappears.Is it possible to add an element to, for instance, a List page?My use case is to add critical information/instructions at the top of the page, or a button to submit feedback specifically on that page. I would simply put my List in a Dashboard page, however doing that removes the ability to use filter tabs, which I need. (Yes, I'm aware of the ability to filter lists in a different way in the Dashboard, but I specifically need the tabs, and the option to "Collapse all by default"...neither of which are available in the List element in Dashboard pages.)

I would like to create a user portal where our Board Members can login and read displayed information from a base and respond some basic questions (Yes/No, Check mark, comments) that would become linked records. I've found a way to add the reviews inline while viewing a Record View, but ideally, the option to add would be at the top of the field (and possibly hiding the other reviews written, or displaying them in another place), and it would automatically capture the User Name. Moreover, I would like it to be able to show which of the records that person has not yet reviewed. Is there a better way to do this? Possibly via integrations/extensions, or better yet...free forms!I feel like I don't know the terminology well enough to find what I'm looking for, but surely it exists! 

I'm hoping this has an easy fix because it's a pretty simple use case! I have a table where each record is a task. Each task may have multiple contributors. I have a field that indicates the month the task will be completed as well as a field that shows who the key contributors are (Multi-select field). I need to create a view where each contributor can see all the tasks they are to work on, further broken down by month. The problem is that using the grouping feature, there doesn't seem to be a way to have a single records included in multiple groups. For example, if Sally and Roger are both contributors on a Task 1 in September, I'd need that task to be included in Sally's list as well as Roger's list and NOT in an aggregated grouping called "Sally and Roger".
