Interface Designer

When I click on the "Interface" button I am guided to a page that has two links, "tell me more" and '"start building" but when I click on the "start building" button, I'm shown a graphic describing the three steps but no path from there to actually building a database. I notice that my top bar (see screen capture) is different from the one shown in the "how to..." video, FWIW

We have built a nearly 20 interfaces.  Is there a way to alphabetize or even group them?

Hello there! Someone figured out a way to add a predefined horizontal line to a chart? I’m trying to create a dashboard in Interfaces and one of my charts could use a fixed horizontal line to indicate a threshold value I’ve been looking everywhere and I see no way of adding it to the chart Thanks!

I've got an interface showing a list of all customers who we are awaiting information from.How would I go about sending those customers an email, when I click a button to do so in an interface? I don't want to do it automatically when they enter a view because there's a manual review step beforehand.I thought I'd found a solution via the sendgrid extension but it looks like that's only possible via data tables, not interfaces. I also tried triggering an automation via a button click but I could only get that to work with the record picker (i.e. one record at a time), rather than in bulk.I feel like I'm not seeing a relatively obvious solution here!Any guidance appreciated.Thanks

Hi there,We currently have a candidate pipeline interface that looks like this:The numbers are based on a formula that outputs the stage based on the latest date set, so the 11 candidates in stage 2 all have the latest date added as 'Stage 2 start date'. As soon as we add a date to a candidate to 'Stage 3 start date', it will add take 1 of stage 2 in the interface and add 1 to stage 3. Here's the database view of that, where you can see the formula and the some example date fields: This works well, but: now we want to be able to add a filter where we select a date, displaying the pipeline from that date, so how many candidates on that day were in each stage.Does anyone have a clue how to get this, let's say, historical snapshot

Hello,Can I use the Interface Designer to build an HTML Template to copy/past into Substack ?As you can see it is bery basic but it seems the ListView lack of configuration:How to hide the Table Header ?How to combine Title + URL into a Link ?Is there some kind of HTML Template that let us decide how to display a ListView Record ? Or may be I should create a script that write the HTML into an hidden field that I display (seems overcomplicated)

Hello,I have a base for our sales CRM. In the CRM I have 3 key tables:DealsTasksReportsEach Tasks and Report is linked to a Deal. In Deals we have a field "Owner" which is a User field. In both Tasks and Reports we have a linked field "Owner (from Deals)".I want to create a dashboard for our weekly meeting with one filter to select one or more users from the "Owner" field and then based on that I have 3 grids one each for Deals, Tasks and Reports display records based on the "Owner" filter. (the next step after I solve this would be then to filter records based on a date field, but I believe this isn't going to be a problem).I can't find any way to cascade the filtering from the Deal Owner to the Tasks and Reports.The only way I can mentally come up with a model that would work is if I had a table "Owners" and linked the Deals to an Owner. Then I should be able to use a record picker to select the

I'm using a multi-select field to capture grade levels taught (Pre-K - 12th) and added this data into a chart in an Interface. When sorting Ascending or Descending (the only options), the logic of the sort seems to be treating the numbers as single digits and sorting them based on the first digit. (ie: "10" is read as "1" then "0") Is there a way to get this to display grades 1-12 in order? A similar post questioned if this was a bug....and surely it is some type of logical but sorting numerically seems quite basic. 

I am trying to add numbers and percentages to a chart. I know there is a similar post here, but this is from 2020 so I wanted to see if this feature is now available in Airtable. Any help on this would be appreciated 🙂

Hi! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated - I'm having a data vis problem in one of our table interfaces. We keep records of individuals we've helped (Stronger Storytellers) and the ideas we've helped grow (Good Ideas) and we tag each record with any number of our 7 impact areas.I want to create a visual e.g. pie chart that shows the total number of Stronger Storytellers by impact area, and Good Ideas by impact area. Currently, rather than including every Stronger Storyteller (we have 1498 on record as of right now) it will total the number of records instead (currently 524) which means the visualisations don't accurately represent our impact areas. TIA for any tips on how to approach this 🙂

HI Everyone, I'm looking for ways to sort a Donut chart so that pieces are in order of percentage i.e. smallest percent to largest. Doesn't seem to be possible. I've created a view, sorted and then copied from view but doesn't seen to change.  Any advise greatly appreciated  

Is there any way to display elements from different tables (from the same base) in the Interfaces record view?

Seems like it should be easy. I want to display the "Ending Balance" field from my most recent record. The summary type for monetary records doesn't have an option for most recent record. But the date record does have that option. So I can display the most recent date, but I want instead to display the Ending Balance for that record. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

I've been creating Interface pages with automations successfully for the past few days, and as of this morning, suddenly when I create new pages/elements, there are no tables to select as a source when setting up new elements. It's like they've all vanished. My existing elements still work fine, but I just can't move them or add new ones.Screenshot attached of what I'm seeing using a button element as an example. I've confirmed that I have Creator rights in the base. Any ideas out there what I might be doing wrong?

Hi.I would like to point that Comments and Revision history are a great feature that makes Airtable excellent collaborative tool, but they should be available in the same form on Interfaces like on Bases.My team switched from Bases to Interfaces and first thing they noted that is missing is the Revision history and ability to choose between watching and not watching comments.We are exited to see this features on Interfaces soon.

Hi! We’re trying to make a customer facing interface. The basic idea is that based on the clients last name and unique code (inspired by miniextensions portal), the client can only see records related to them. The issue we are having is as follows: Users can change the filter types at any point (‘is’ and ‘=’) When the filter values are empty, it is possible to see ALL records and thereby raises a privacy issue. Our interface looks like this: Our questions: Is there any way where you can override a filter? For example, initially the filter set on the ‘Record Picker’ elements allows no records to show, and then when the front-end filter is used, it overrides the internal? If not, is this on the roadmap? Is there a way you can lock in the filter types? I understand that interfaces are still in beta testing, so

I'm consistently getting an error when using an Interfaces List View. When I want to create a record from a list view I'm trying to use the "add record" (or in my case add tasks) button at the bottom of the list.However I continue to get an error "You are not permitted to perform this action." Which doesn't make sense as I'm the creator of both the base data views and the interface. Am I missing a setting that will allow me and my fellow Interface Editors to create tasks directly from within the List in the interface?  

Not sure I even know how to ask this question... hopefully screen shots will help..I have two tables Clients and Contacts. I'm trying to figure out how to edit the new contact screen that comes up when I add a new contact from a Client record as below:1. When I add a new client I want to then add a new contact so I click on the new contact button below:2. And I get the usual list. but the contact is new so I click the new contact button at the bottom:3. And get this screen below which doesn't have half the fields I need.How do I edit this screen?   

Hi Community,I have a todo list with due dates.I also have a view sorted by due date with all todos for the specific todos.If I create an email send out to me every due date eve, it sends for each todo an email. same with the designer, if I want to print.How can I get all todos for one due date in one email / print (list).? Thank youTobi

Is there a way to have bar chat values display on the chart itself the way it does in something like Google Datastudio or Tableau?

I am building an interface for Contact records and their respective Notes. There doesn't seem to be an issue as long as I use the same page to display both. However, if I use a separate page to show the Notes I don't see a way to keep the Notes relative to the current Contact record. How can accomplish this need? Is there a better way to design this use case?Thanks!

Hi everyone!I have some issues with a table in interface. When i select a record in a replicated table in Interface the preview have only have a list on the name of the records. (img1)Instead of when i select the data directly from the database. This is important for me because sometimes there are records with the same name but with different details (ie. color of a fabric) (img 2)There are ways to make the selection of the details identical?
