Hi, I work a lot on my board to avoid my user is able to change some data. I use Airtable to manage the sales and stock of my shop. For that I lock view, give specific permission and so on, but I just noticed that a user can create a Grid new view which gave him access to edit/delete any field he is not supposed to be able to, when he is on his “limited view” I have created for him. So basically, anyone can just create a grid view, change my orders/stock amount or so, then delete the personal view and that’s it, my data are corrupted. Do you know a way to avoid specific users to create a new view ? Thanks, Sébastien

I have an airtable db and want to sync this to the WordPress custom fields I’ve created. That everytime the data inside of airtable is updated, it syncs with the WordPress custom fields and the fields are updated. Is this possible? How would you do that?

Hello, I manage a team of 6 peoples working on a data base to organize their task.Each collaborator have theur own Kanban view like this : I don't know why but since 1 week my new collaborators don't have the bue cross to add a new task. They are all editors and they can edit other bases and other tabs but not this particular tab.  Can you help me ? 😁

hey everyone,I'm looking for some inputs on how to organize the data efficiently. I'm building a multi-family building and have multiple different vendors like engineering reports, carpenters, drywallers etc.we have more than 20+ different types of vendors and for every trade, we try to get at least 3-5 quotes. this is getting out of hands very quickly and we often times miss data from the emails with so many quotes to go through. I'm looking to put all of this data into airtable to sort out easily. for example, if someone asks me to compare all the quotes for a structural engineer, I should be able to tell quickly what i have received instead of going through all the emails.would really appreciate if someone could point me to any existing templates or if anyone is already doing this. 

My organization has been slowly integrating Airtable into our tool portfolio, and as the bases become more critical and more complex, I don’t see a great way of developing/auditing/version control for bases. Data snapshots and exports can serve to backup the data, but it doesn’t appear that schemas/formulas/relationships are preserved. I’m looking for any ideas to put Airtable development/deployment more on a par with conventional software development, to wit: How do people handle development/acceptance test/production, or do people do that at all? It seems that the only way to do that is simply to duplicate bases and name them appropriately (eg; Mybase_DEV, MyBase_UAT, etc.) Is there any way to audit formula/relationship/schema/script/automation changes? Is there a way to build any kind of development pipeline with automated tests and the ability to fork/revert changes?

Hello,We are using Airtable to do a content audit. We are using a form to capture the assessment data. The auditors must complete the form for each page of content. We have many pages, so they have to complete the form many times. On the form, we ask them to fill in their email address manually each time they complete the form. It currently is a drop-down field. We have had several requests to have this email field populated automatically with their email address. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have read online about pre-filling fields on a form, but it seems to be possible for specific values only. For example, I can pre-populate the name field with the value "John".What I would like is the following:Auditor 1Email address: johndoe@email.comEmail field on form automatically filled in with his email: johndoe@email.com

Is there any way to reschedule several records at the same time? Is it possible to select these and drug and drop?

I have four selections available in a picklist. Each selection has a different set of options associated with it. I want to create a secondary list of options that users can select from that changes depending on their primary selection. For example they choose from:Selection ASelection BSelection CIf they choose Selection A, a secondary option box appears offeringOption 1Option 2If they choose Selection B, a secondary option box appears offeringOption 3Option 4..and so on. How do I construct this?

I use the Typeform integration with AirTable but when sending multi-select data where the user has chosen the “other” option and entered a custom value it doesn’t get added to my AirTable. This uses the Typeform integration on the Typeform website and not the AirTable block so not sure if anyone here can be of help.

I’m looking to reference the name of a field as a string in a formula field and can’t figure out how to do it. For example I have fields {Size} and {Formula}. I have 1 record where {Size} = 5. I want my formula field for record one to display, “Size: 5” and I want it to work dynamically so that if I change the name of the {Size} field to {height}, then result will automatically update to “Height: 5”. Basically, is it possible to reference a field name in a formula? Thanks for your help!

Hi folks, I know how to set up an automation, for example if a record is created it can/could create another/dupliacate record for me in separate table, however this only seems to be tables within the SAME BASE… so, here’s my question: Is it possible for Airtable to create a duplicate record in a table in one base if a record is created in another base? thanks

Does anyone know if it is possible to track the number of page views or link clicks on a shared table view? My office maintains a database as a shared resource for our organization, and are trying to determine the level of usage/interaction.

Considering the main Airtable page (the page that lists our Workspaces etc)...it would be great if it contained a list of recent tables and/or views. Is that possible?Something similar to how Google Drive can list all the most recent docs/sheets etc, which makes it easier to access those resources again later.Some way to quickly access recently used tables would be very convenient. I'm sure I can't be the only one who has noticed this.

Hey Airtable community! I have records with a start/end time field. The field is set to "Use the same time zone for all collaborators" so that, regardless of which time zone we view the records in, the time stays the same. However, when viewing these records in a calendar view, the times are 4/5 hours behind.What might be going on here? It seems that the time zone for the individual calendar view was set to some other time zone, but I don't see an option for how to change this.Thanks for your help!

Hi there!I am trying to find a way to be able to duplicate a project with linked tasks that will create new duplicate tasks instead of being automatically linked to the old tasks.Example I have Project R5 S5 Launch with all of it's tasks (Music, Edit, Filming, Sound) linked and named under that R5 S5 Launch. When I duplicate that project to a new project R5 S6 Launch it currents links all the tasks still to R5 S5 Launch tasks but I would like to be able to have the tasks duplicated and under the new project name as well.  I saw that there might be a script that can do this but I have been unable to find it. Doesn't know have any suggestions? Let me know if you need any clarification.Thanks!

Very odd question. Does anyone know what software Airtable uses for their Forum? I love the look and style of it and would like to know so I can talk to the provider.

I understand that if I share in editor mode a base with someone that has a free plan, this will add 1 billable collaborator to my pro plan. But if I share in editor mode with someone that has a plus plan (10$/month), is that has the same effect on my pro plan and add 1 billable collaborator?Thanks

I have a table "Companies".I would like to setup a form that would show what is already in certain fields in Companies.  The idea is the person can verify the info and use the form to make changes or additions to the existing information.  The people that would receive the form don't have access to the full Companies table because they do not need full access.  But the purpose of the form would be to update certain pieces of info.  Is this possible? 

I'm making up the example, but it's a lot simpler than my actual use case: Let's say I've got a table with a large menu of dinner items. I have a column of food preferences (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc) which is a multi-select field. Now let's say someone points out that it would be a good idea for me to track what options are halaal or kosher. I would like to be able to select all of the menu items that are appropriate and add "kosher" or "halaal" to only those items, without overwriting the current values (vegetarian, etc). What's the best way to do this? I think this would also affect any property that functions like multi-select, most importantly links to another table.

We had someone accidentally make a bunch of edits to all of the fields of 195 records. (I'm not even sure how they did that).when I look at Snapshot - the last snapshot was 24 hours ago. In that time period, we had 35 form submissions. So if I revert back to the last snapshot - I'll loose the 35 submissions.Is there a way I can revert back 24 hours? Is there a way to undo edits to specific records?
