Hey y’all – I am working on a local school board campaign and looking to map both the precinct locations in our district as well as our yard sign locations to make sure we’re balancing visibility across the district. I’ve got a Precinct table with address, # of registered voters, # of voters in our universe, etc. as well as a Signs table with address, location type, sign size, etc. I’ve already created an Map app block to display sign locations which is working great, but I’d love to pull in the precinct locations onto the same map block so that we can visualize around those locations. Is this possible? Suggestions on how to do it? My clunky workaround is that I’ve just been adding the precincts in as sign locations and making them a different location type and color coding the markers, but I’d love to have a cleaner experience that maintains the precinct name from the precinct table. I might be overthinking, but would love suggestions!

When I embed a gallery in my website attached PDF preview is blocked by browsers. No problem when previewing in Airtable itself. this only happens when the gallery is embedded.

For some time now I use the attachment field to store images, and I had “show attachments in reversed order.” option toggled on. Now, I want to toggle off “show attachments in reversed order.”, but keep photos in same order. How can I accomplish that without doing it manually, since I have a loot of files and reccords? How do I ensure that when I make an AirTable entry that it will actually save? I’m pretty annoyed and upset because I’m trying to study the Bible chapter by chapter (I have the free plan for Airtable and so I can put all 1189 chapters in one base in the end) but by the time I was on Chapter 4 (of Genesis) I put all the information I wanted in three different rich text fields and I thought it was weird that no preview was showing, but when I clicked on the entry the information was there. I’ve only worked on this base on my iPad and so I doubt it’s a syncing issue but when I came back to it today to review and continue along with Chapter 5, most of the information from Chapter 4 flat out wasn’t there… Has anyone had this issue of losing rich text formatted entries? Is there a way to get my information back? I don’t understand what’s happening here.

I have one table that is a Roster of team members with various fields of data pertaining to each record. This table is imported for certain fields and other fields are manually imputed. The data on each record set has the potential to change at any given point. Changes are done manually. The second table is Synced data from an external source that contains some of the same data that is on the first table. I would like to setup a Validate field (checkbox) on the Roster table, this field will be checked if multiple data points (4 or 5 fields) matches exactly from the 2 different tables. Is there a way to compare this data across 2 different tables and if all matches correctly check the validation box? Additionally, if data changes in the Roster and now is different uncheck the box? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to use Airtable to help me speed up the processes of responding to multiple RFP’s. Often a same or similar question is asked on multiple RFP’s. Rather than make a database I’d like to use Airtable to categorize and log the questions and answers that I often re-write from scratch each time. I would like to do a quick search in Airtable and and pull already answered questions or document content and pull it into a blank RFP template to partially automate the response process, and quickly access the questions Airtable database. Is this possible? Has anyone done it? Any know templates to start from? Hello everyone, I am really impressed with Airtable and want to roll it out to our team. However, I want to get some questions answered before presenting. Every job we do has an assigned number to it. I would like to use the autonumber feature in order to assign numbers to our jobs. However, we need to be able to customize this. For example, not starting the autonumbering with 1. Also, we have different prefixes for each type of job. Some of them include MISC, R, and P, and some have dashes. The jobs look something like this: P3765, MISC-377, R451. We need a numbering system to create new numbers so that we’re not duplicating numbers, as this would be a nightmare. Regarding that, I’d also like some sort of error message to pop up if someone tries to manually enter a number that’s already been used. Can the autonumber feature handle something like this, and if so, how? Thank you so much in advance.

Hello- I know I have seen some threads on this topic before. Is there any progress with being able to annotate and comment/draw/add shapes/call outs directly on a PDF. Are there any apps that can support this, I found this, Image Markup - Apps - Airtable Marketplace but don’t look like it’s supported anymore. Anyone know when Airtable will enable this feature for PDF image mark ups? Thanks! Scott

When I create a milestone with the End date at 05/09/2022, it is displayed on the timeline bar at the top at 05/10/2022. We have an Airtable form accessible through our public website. But we do not know which base or table it was built from. The person who built it is no longer with the company. Without have to sift through many bases and many tables, is there a simple way to determine where this form-view lives?

I pay for a plus account. I would like to allow multiple people on the free account plan to edit the base I created. I want them to be able to add attachments, data, and info. To edit the base that I created as a plus subscriber, do the free subscribers need to pay for the plus plan?

:bomb: Airtable is dropping public url support for attachment in an upcoming update that will take place in Nov 2022. This basically mean all urls to all attachments uploaded prior to that date will cease to work, and all attachments public leads uploaded from there will only work for a “few hours” (would be great to know exactly how long, by the way). Hi all, Sadly, I need to migrate away from Airtable due to the lack of a scale plan that makes any sense. I’m a Pro user and we are right up against the 50,000 record limit. It has been extensively discussed elsewhere on this forum that unfortunately Airtable does not offer a sane upgrade licensing next step, and for me there’s nowhere to go but out to market to find a new platform. The support team actively advised against the Enterprise plan because we only need more records (lots more records!) not more users or more bases. The enterprise plan cost is laughable anyway for a small business like ours, and would only provide us with additional 50k records, which we’d outgrow in several months anyway. So I’m looking for a much more scalable alternative that can offer some or most of the user friendliness of Airtable, and can support a simple(ish) migration. There is a field {Profit} (Currency), another {Contribution} (multi-select) field that records the employees working on a particular sale. Now in another [Employees] table, I want to display the total share of the profit they are taking depending upon which sales they were involved in. For example in Table 1, if a sale of $100 is made by Employees A and B, both should earn $50. If a sale of $150 is made By Employees A, B and C, all of them should earn $50. And in the Employees table, I want to write the sum of their profit. So it depends upon the Employees that I add in the multi-select field in the row of that particular sale. But how can I divide the profit among those employees only?

Hello again all, I believe there is another topic titled “Using Automations to Check a Box When Record Matches Conditions”. (I posted there but got no answer) That thread seemed to have strayed a little off track. Because while “Update Record” IS a condition that ‘could’ be used, it’s only one option. And the steps seem to be different for each “Action Type” selected. So, if someone could walk me through another one, like “When a Record is Created”, I would greatly appreciate it! So, WITH A SCREENSHOT (please), can someone please explain how to use an automation to check a box? I’m putting true, false, one’s and zero’s everywhere and nothing is working! I am trying to convert a string column to a date. I’ve used DATETIME_PARSE(Date) The formula works for some records, but half of them return an ERROR. All of the dates were pasted from the same document, so they are not different in any way. I tried to put in the date manually (which I would like to avoid since I have over 450 records), but it doesn’t fix the problem. What am I doing wrong?

Good Afternoon! I am attempting to use the remove duplicates scripting app to remove the older record of a duplicate. I chose the date created as the comparison field but the script is currently removing the newer of a set of duplicates.
