Hi, all. My company has a base that we want to share with a client so that they can fill in information for campaigns we’re running for them. They have their own paid Airtable account. How do I share the base with them without having to necessarily pay for their access? Thanks in advance.

Hi Community, I would like to build an application with Airtable as backend that can be used to comply with environmental regulation. The user logs in, specifies details about his/her company (e.g. CO2 emissions) and gets a dashboard of the companies performance. The questions can be quite complex and therefore users should be able to log out, and continue the work at a later point. I am a bit lost when choosing the right architecture. I’ve tried a lot already and my current approach includes Webflow as front-end website, Memberstack for user registration etc. I’m not sure how to accomplish smart forms that are live synced with the AirTable backend. I tried to use Zapier but the integrations seem to be unidirectional. The functionality is similar to https://www.stackerhq.com/. Hi, Is there a way to ‘freeze’ a view so any newly created records don’t enter it. I’ve got to download a load of data from the table and run them through another software and then re-upload the results. I’m hoping i can just paste in the results but i new records enter the view that weren’t included in the original download then there might be a race condition. Thanks in advance

Hi Airtable Community, Although I figured out a lot and learned to do amazing things in airtable [we use it as our CMS for our online magazine] I need some help with this situation: Here is a screenshot of parts of our database: We need an easy way to find where we can add interlinking to our articles [so like in wikipedia that keywords link to other articles]. Think this way: Article XYZ is about ‘emotional self-care’. [e.g. line 5 in the screenshot]. Now we want to find where in all our other articles we mention ‘emotional self-care’. If we find this keyword/anchor text in an article, we know we can insert a link to the article xyz there. I would approach it like this, but don’t know if this makes sense and is possible: The main text of the article is in column ARTICLE_BODY. And we have a column with the keywords/anchor texts we are looking for [column int-link-anchor]. Is it possible to build a function/or script that would: go through each main text and look FOR ALL the keywords [

Hi all, I haven’t used Airtable before but I’m currently looking for a backend system that I can link to my Adalo app. My app will be selling event tickets that have a limited capacity. Some events will be popular and and may have 300+ users trying to purchase around 300 available tickets at the same time. Using the Adalo internal collections the problem arises if 2 users click ‘purchase’ at the same time as the available tickets are only reduced by the quantity chosen by user1 but both user1 and user2 have the items added to their cart. Obviously this is very problematic and we more users the issue will only get a lot worse. So, my question is - Can Airtable handle concurrent orders and keep the database up to date? Thanks, Ash

Why can I only “go to record” by the 1st column? I need to be able to go to a record by entering my customers name which I need to leave in the 3rd column. Thank you!

Hey everyone, Sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t find anything. I am still a beginner. My Problem is the following: IF({Laufzeit (Monate)}= BLANK(),"", DATEADD(Vertragsbeginn,{Laufzeit (Monate)},“Month”)) It works, but the result it is no longer shown as a date. I guess because it could either be a date or a text, it doesn’t recognize it. So what I want is to have an empty cell in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” ist empty and the calculated date as a date in case “Laufzeit (Monate)” is filled. Could anyone help?

I can’t seem to both calculate and format a date in the same cell. I add 55 years to a date of birth to come up with a 55th birthday (call this cell 55bday). That returns an ISO date that includes a time. I can, in another cell, use DATETIME_FORMAT and reference cell 55bday to remove the time. Can I do that all in one cell?

I want to trigger a zap when a date in Airtable equals the current date. Looking at the triggers in Zapier (New Record; New Record in View; New or Updated Record), I don’t see a way to do that. For example, if I have an Airtable comprised of people and their 21st birthday, could a Zap trigger when the date of the 21st birthday matches the current date. I’m having a hard time seeing how any of the three Zapier triggers could do that.

Hi, I see that a few people asked about editable shared grid views in Fall of 2020, and the general consensus that it could only be done with software like Stacker, but that it was on Airtable’s upcoming features. Does anyone know if it is now possible to share editable grid views yet?

Hi folks, I’m an Airtable rookie trying to do something fairly complex… thanks in advance for the help! My main table has a list of projects (films) with several additional fields, the most relevant being Completion Date, Revenue, Team Hours Dedicated, and Quality Score. I’m trying to create another table (or series of tables) with a monthly scorecard which automatically calculates the following metrics on the first day of each month, only for projects which were completed in the last 90 days: Total Revenue Average Team Hours Dedicated per project Median Quality Score I’ve been trying various combinations of IF statements, DATEADD, etc., but am making little headway. Any ideas?

So I have a little project Im working on currently, Currently im using the Zendesk Beta and im trying to utilize the “Assignee” which is email addresses. I want to have a formula that can replace the email address that’s in the assignee to another table that has my employees names (also includes their email) so I can have a formula that replaces the data with that name instead of an email (I know you cant edit Sync Sources thought this would be best bet type of solution). Any help would be awesome im fairly new to AirTable still learning some of its tricks and features.

Hi! I checked through the community posts but can’t seem to find the answer. Is there a way to use automations to insert multiple records into a linked record field? Context: I am creating an automation where in an employee can update their leave application via airtable form. The automation works if the employee is only encoding one date. However, since the field allows a multiple linking of records they can select multiple dates as well. This is where the error comes in. Is there any work around?

I’m prefilling a link in a button field to an adobe webform. It works perfectly if I click the button on desktop, but on mobile it encodes the # that adobes requires as is and doesnt fill the form. Is there something I change in the button? Its useless if mobile users can’t use it since most of the team uses their phones vs desktop. Hey there, we’re just starting using Airtable a bit more intensive than in the past. One of the biggest issue we are facing is performance when switching between tables. Our customer table only contains around 3000 rows of data but it takes 3-5 secs at a minimum to load each time we switch to other tables. There are connections to another table with around 8000 rows which are linked to the customers but I can’t believe it is checking these connections on every reload/switch to other tables, is it? If so the problem would only get worse with growing numbers and we could just stop using Airtable again. Any other idea?

I created a form (or survey) successfully and embeded it on a web page for my university class, but it is cut off. Not all the questions show, yet the submission button is there at the bottom as it should be. Any suggestions? Thanks KGB

Can you use automations in airtable to automatically extract a csv of a view in your base? I have a views that I’d like to have extracted automatically without having to go into airtable each time to do it. Can this be done? Thanks!

Is the a way that a non collaborator can take some (but not all) fields from an existing record and create a new record from it that then can be edited, using some sort of form, button or automation?. Ie Can I have a name, address, email address duplicated but not the various date/$ amount and various notes fields? We have a table that includes customer name and address and payments made and often we have to pay the same person more than once but with different amounts and for different reasons. I realise if we had known this from the start we could have created a seperate customer table but we are to far down the road to go back and change that. Thanks in advance
