I am having major problems all of the sudden with a link field automation that uses a date. Let me start by saying if I copy and paste my date from one table into the link field it works fine. If I try to do it via. Automation I keep getting an error that says this field can not accept that input. Seems to be a recent problem. Any help? This is breaking a ton of stuff for me.

Hello! I have been struggling with a project recently. I am trying to basically take a list of names or emails from two separate Rollup fields and combine them, removing the duplicates. However, Airtable seems to be having trouble combining ARRAYJOIN(), ARRAYFLATTEN(), or ARRAYUNIQUE() in any way that works for me. So far, my only solution was to use some nested IF statements and concatenation to force it to work to an extent, but the fields get messed up if both columns I am pulling from are not blank. I have tried a couple of different suggestions from other posts, but I would appreciate if someone could point me in a good direction.

Hi, I have the basic ‘project tracker’ base set up to track all my clients, design projects, and tasks. It works great, I love it (mostly). The projects tab has a nifty ‘tasks’ column that grabs shows linked records from the ‘tasks’ tab. When I add a new task in the tasks column, they show up in the tasks tab as well. Or, vice versa, if I add a new task in the tasks tab, they will show up in the appropriate project on the project tab. My tasks tab is grouped by project, which is helpful for obvious reasons. What I don’t understand, is why I can’t add a linked record in the ‘tasks’ tab, that pulls the client for a particular task based on its project. I’d like this, so then I can group the view by client (as well as project). So the view would show client as the main grouping, then projects (with their tasks) as sub-groupings within client. Each project has a defined client, and on the clients tab it has no trouble telling me what projects apply to which clients.

so i was recently messing around with how to link records together and i accidentally clicked on Do Not Show again box. i use to be able to select the records i wanted by category. is there a way that i can restore the do not show again pop up?

Has anyone entered their credit card information, but the payment screen doesn’t allow you to submit it?

Hi! I have an excel VBA tool and I’m inclined to use Airtable as the tool’s back-end database (db). Based on the user’s input text (string), I’m looking for Airtable API that will loop through all fields and return if text is present in the db, else return NULL. Now, I’ve looked at the Airtable GET API documentation but the request parameter is based on recordID, so that doesn’t suit my requirement. However, it looks like can work with filterbyformula.

Hi there! Is there currently a way to filter the rows in a table by comparing two fields? I’d like to only show rows where a value is not equal to the value of linked record. I am able to display them next to each other using a linked row, but the filter function seems to require a static value to compare with. Am I right on this? Thanks, Till

I’m trying to send an reminder to email a record to a Slack channel when a Reminder Date is 14 days prior to current date. I’d like the Slack message to automatically populate the record’s name and email but I can’t see to get this to work.

I know that the answers to the survey (the data) are stored in the Grid View of Airtable, but I wanted to ask if there are some ways that I can visualize and build the data for clients who did not take the survey so that they can manipulate and examine the data in the Grid View? Hello! :slightly_smiling_face: I have a database for products and in there I have two tables Products and Variants. I would need a new record to be created based on multiple select fields. At the moment the script works perfectly if a record needs to be created based on one multiple records field. But in my case, I would need up to 3 fields to be counted. E.g. I have a Product A that has 3 color options + 4 sizes + 2 add-on options. When I run the script, it needs to create 342=24 new records in table Variants. The current script doesn‘t allow to create 24 records at once based on different fields. Is there an extended script available that could fit my needs? Or what could be a solution for it? Thank you!

Trying to attach photos from Google Photos. In my Attachments field, I choose Add Attachment. In the next screen, I’m presented with a number of options, including Google Photos (at the bottom of the list). Choosing this, the next screen offers a blue Connect to Google Photos button. Clicking that brings me (eventually) to my Google accounts sign in window. I choose an account (I’m already signed in). I’m brought back to the same Google accounts sign in window. No further progress is possible. Similarly, if I try and use a URL from Google Photos, a blank document is put into the cell. Is there an issue with integration to Google apps, or am I missing a critical step?

Hey, can anyone tell me if features available to upgraded users (Plus, Pro, etc.) will be visible to non-upgraded users in a certain workspace? For example, If a certain base contains Gantt charts, a pro feature, will a “free” user who the base is shared with be able to see or interact with the gantt chart? Hello, I have 3 rows like this… companyA: US companyB: CA companyC: US, CA But I want to be able to group by territory so that I see… CA companyB companyC US companyA companyC Is that possible? I.e. to have single rows such as “companyC” appear in multiple groupings because of the multiple attributes it contains? If not, the problem is that I’d have to create 2 rows for companyC which is annoying if you want to apply a company-level comment to the row. Thanks for any thoughts, Daniel

Hi! I’m trying to use automation to input a duration in a duration field from a text field but it doesn’t seem to work (i.e. after automation, 08:00 in text field appears as 0:08 in duration field). Is there anyway to make this work?

Hi there team, I am trying to sync 20+ tables from base A to a single table in base B. Does anyone have recommendations on how this can be done without an Enterprise plan? It would ultimately result in the table in base B to have all the records from the 20+ tables in base A combined under one table (like a master table of all the records). It is important that the records within the table in base B automatically match any changes made to any record found in the 20+ tables in base A. The reason we want to do this is to be able to create a Airtable form in which the user can select a record from the complete list of records found in the 20+ tables in Base A. So it seems my airtable account is two different emails. I have two different emails but they all go to the same inbox if that makes sense so I’m seeing if there is a way to merge these accounts as I don’t want to restart with my other emails. Plus I have credits on the other one and a pro plan. Any help is much appreciated

I have a simple table called “Imported table” where Field 1 is merchant category and Field 2, 3, 4…10 are merchant names. I am looking for a JS function with merchant name as parameter and if present in the database, can return the corresponding Field 1 name. One option that I’ve been trying is filterbyFormula as REGEX_Match and loop from field 1 to 10, but can’t seem to figure how to complete the function. Appreciate any inputs on this or better ways to do this.

Hi! I am really stumped and hoping someone can help. I am trying to add a lookup field that filters in my budget from another table. Here is my first table, you can see I have the linked record (idk why it’s empty) and the lookup field for budget, but it is empty. Here is the other table I am trying to filter in from, as you can see there is budget in every column (sorry for the narrow screenshot, private info cropped out) Am I misunderstanding lookup fields? Any insight is appreciated!

Dear ones, I need help. I’m using a filter on another system that searches the result based on a certain date. If I inform the filter as follows. Date = “2021-06-25”, The expectation is that I would return all the rows that appear on this date, however filtering this way I have no return. If I use the Date filter >=“2021-06-25”. it works, but it brings me back not only the lines corresponding to that date but all the other dates ahead. What is the right way to filter an exact date in the airtable?

I would like to generate a new Multiple Select field that contains values found in a series of Checkbox fields. Currently the Subject of each row is marked as a Checkbox. There can be one or more Subject values for each row. Can you help me write a formula that tests a series of Checkbox fields and generates values in a Multiple Select field that match the Name of the Checkbox fields? Hi, I currently have my IT-inventory in Airtable. I would like to upgrade this with a kind of lending/borrow system. Where the employee’s can scan a QR code and take the (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc…) device and I know who took it. And when they afterwards return the device and scan again, it shows in Airtable that it’s returned. Is this possible in Airtable or is there something that already exists?
