Google Cal sync/ Email Digest timezone issue

Hello! I am trying to put together an email digest that shows start and end times that are synced to my base from Google Calendar. My Google Calendar is set to Alaska time, and the times show correctly within my base. However, when my email digest is sent, the times have been converted to UTC. I have seen the threads about dealing with this through formulas, but because my dates are synced in I can’t modify those fields. Does anyone know how to address this? Thank you!

Import and Map to Linked Records

Hi there, new to Airtable but familiar with relational databases. We want to import a CSV on a regular basis and then from the mapped data, have it fill data that is already in a lookup table. The specific problem we want to solve is this: We have a CSV file with a list of courses and instructors associated with the course. If the course in the CSV is SOWK 600 we want to import into our Fall 2021 table and have it link to the Courses table and the faculty table. Can that be done? The relational database side of me says it can but i cannot find the appropriate terminology for Airtable.

Integromat cant fetch linked record field data?

I am using Integromat to build some fairly complex summary reports. Things are going well - but Integromat cannot seem to serve up info from Linked Record fields - instead - shows some sort of alpha-numeric ID tag. A lot of my data is represented by linked records, and I’d like to not have to make duplicate fields that strip them down to string text. I have an Integromat ticket in, but curious if anyone here has run into that. Was excited to get Integromat approval from our IT dept, and was hoping it would be the silver bullet that it seemed, but this is a major issue… Thanks!

Gallery View and Page Designer - unexpected records

I’ve got a few records for a different project that are displaying in both Gallery view and in Page Designer exports. I made sure to filter only those for the correct project but they are still displaying. Is there something I’m missing?

Document can't be downloaded?

We save a lot of documentation in Airtable, mostly spreadsheets and PDFs, using the Attachment field type. Oddly however, one document has no download link, and we just get an error message saying “Attachment download URL is unavailable”. Has anyone seen/resolved this before? Is this recoverable?

Disable button if there's no email address in record

I need help applying conditional logic to a ‘send email’ button. I’d like for the button to only be active for records that indeed have an email assigned. But right now ALL the buttons are active even if there’s no email address on the record. See this screen shot: Anyhelp is greatly greatly appreciated. I can't release a custom app

Hello, I have a problem to deploy custom app. The problem is executing the block release command. Tried with block version 0.0.63 and 0.0.64. Allow users to enter data to specific records in table(s)

Current situation is as follows: user signs up through a (Airtable) form on our website and enters a table and gets a record ID. In the onboarding process that follows we would like to allow our users to change/add data to their specific records in our tables. Can anyone please help us figuring out how we can automate this process? Currently we have to manually add the asked information in the right table. Thank you!

How to added numbers in a field if its a certain number

I am trying to create a survey. And the survey has 4 options for each question A B C D. For A its 1, B is 2, C is 3, and D is 4. Each is summed for a total across all the fields in a record giving a total for each record. What I want to do now is count the number of As, Bs, Cs and Ds across the record and I can’t seem to do that ;-( Should be something like sum if Field 1 = 1 and Filed 2 = 1 and Field 3 =1 … And then another with Sum if Field 1 = 2 and Filed 2 = 2 and Field 3 =2 … And so on for each record so I get the total number of A, B, C and D. But I cant seem to do that does anyone have any idea how I can do this? Thanks in advance

How to track collaborator's comments in "Activity"?

Hello, i want to see only those strings which have collaborator’s comments in “Activity”. Another option is to restrict adding comments to “Activity” for collaborators. Is it possible to do using an airtable functional or any of apps?

Extract All Dates Linked to an Item

Hey Everyone: I have a table that houses 260 records. Each record represents 1 Song. I have a rollup in that table that has every date I have practiced that song in my set lists. Set lists are individual records that track each show and adds the song in the position played. I want to take that list of songs and the date rollups and create a new table that has all the songs listed one by one by date played. I know moving forward I can do this by automation as the records are created, but how do I do it for everything in the past?

Embed a Gantt view on Page Designer

I would like to have a gantt on the report I run using Page designer. At the moment I am taking a screenshot of a gantt view and uploading the image as an attachment. Is there a better way? This seems unnecessarily cumbersome.

Strange Characters in CSV Export File

When I export values from a table I get three weird characters at the start of only the first line which contains the field names. My first line looks like this Member,Forename,Middle Names,Surname,DOB,Address 1,Address 2,Town,County,Postcode,Home Phone,Mobile Phone,ICE Contact,ICE Number,Email Address,Occupation,Qualifications,Interests,Disabilities Is this a bug?

Form Shares Blank

I’ve been sharing my form for a while with no trouble, but after making a small change today it won’t share anymore. Generating a link, previewing or pressing “Open Form” all lead to a blank browser tab. Any tips would be very appreciated :slightly_smiling_face:

Failed Logins Attempts

Does any know if Airtable tracks failed Logins by a user and locks their account if a maximum number is reached? And do they lock the account and sent any type of email or notification to the user for them to know that someone might be trying to access their account. I am trying to understand what happens if someone tries to access our companies data if they figure out one of our users email address. Thank you

View entries from multiple tables at once

I have a small farm and use Airtable to track the animals. I have a table for their basic info (name, dob, etc), one for weights (used every time we weight them), one for any treatment(s) they get, and one to track breedings. I’d like to be able to have a view where I can pull up an animal by name, then see all the other associated records regarding it from the other tables. If I pull up animal “Bob,” I’d like to then see his weights and treatments in the same view (by most recent). I’ve tried searching these forums and the web to see if it’s possible, but have come up empty. This view would normally be used from a mobile device.

iOS app very slow to load

AirTable on my iPhone 8 lags a ton. My coworker shares the same bases, but his app opens and loads normally on his iPhone XR. I have tried reinstalling the mobile app, but I have not resolved this issue for a month.

Airtable File Storage instead of Dropbox/Box

I’m hoping someone might be able to help me understand if Airtable can be used effectively for file storage and organization instead of Dropbox. The reason for using Airtable is because I want to be able to tag, filter, link and otherwise organize files in a way that I believe can’t be done with Dropbox. My specific use is real estate data, so for example, I’d like to be able to organize PDF files (e.g., market reports), each of which would have its own record/row by different variables that can be dictated by the field/column (e.g., City or State) and also link those files to other records (e.g., a contact or a property related to the record). It doesn’t seem like this is an intended use with Airtable, particularly given the 20GB limit for a Pro user, but Dropbox (which I currently use) and its competitors don’t seem to offer the same dynamic ability to organize files, so I’m hoping to figure this out with Airtable (or find out the best alternative). Is there any reason I can’t or s

Commas breaking apart imported survey responses (Zapier)

Hi all, I’m using Zapier to send survey responses from Alchemer to Airtable. To help with filtering in Airtable, I match each survey question type to the corresponding field/column type in Airtable; so a likert scale (or other radio button question) is mapped to a single-select field, a checkbox question is mapped to a multi-select field/column, and open-text questions are mapped to single/long text field/column types. My survey makes heavy use of ‘Other - write in’ fields, especially in the context of multi-select (checkbox) questions. Commas are often included in these write-in fields, either by survey respondents or by Alchemer in how it formats data. However, either Airtable or Zapier (I’m not sure how to tell which) appears to be seeing the commas and using them to break apart individual responses into smaller pieces that then get entered into Airtable incorrectly. For example, if someone writes in “Planes, trains, and automobiles” into the “Other - write in” option of a checkbox

Chart showing extra values on X Axis

I’ve created a line chart with records group by year, but the output is showing extra X-axis values that don’t exist. For example, my data has years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, but the x axis of the chart is adding interim values of 2017.5 between 2017 and 2018, 2018.5 between 2018 and 2019, etc. How can I suppress this output? It looks very unprofessional.

Y-axis label not appearing on scatter plot

When using two numerical fields to generate a scatter plot, the y-axis label does not appear unless “Aggregate” is selected. This means that in order to show the label, you have to select “Group by…” and choose a unique field (because you don’t want things to be grouped) and then select Aggregate, which results in the y-axis label being prepended with an aggregation method (Sum, Min, Max, or Mean), which is not an accurate portrayal of the data that is being charted. The label should simply show up without any aggregation and just contain the name of the field.
