Hi Airtable users I have a problem that I’m hoping you can help me with? I have a base with equipment to be maintained. There are several hundred different makes and models in the list and several hundred of each of these makes and models. I have a second table that contains thousands of parts. I would like to connect the parts in base 2 to the equipment in base 1. I would like to be able to choose a make and model in base 1 and be able to select items from the parts list (now only showing thie selected make and model parts) and click on the parts I need. It would be grat to pull in the part number and price from base 2 also. I realise that my request may be hard to follow but if you can help, THANKS Sean

I have a situation. I would like to create a workspace with a lot of bases, that I need to concentrate to only one base with Sync changes. I would like to know if it is posible and if it is, how would it be?

Hi there, I’m creating two tables with one linked field that connects the two. In gallery view, I want users to be able to use the linked field to switch between the gallery views of the two tables. Is there a way to do this? I found an old question on the same thing but I wasn’t able to view the replies. How someone know how to do this? Many thanks! Becky

Hello, Is there a way to have the conditional color setting to be applied to a collapsed group? Actually, it is only applied when the group is fully expanded. A workaround could be to copy reformated data to another table with a script automation. But it seems to be difficult. Thank you in advance for the help. Regards,

Created a survey form with a single select option. The options are long and I can’t view the entire text. Is there a workaround to this? Thanks.

I have a phone-log table with times of phone calls organized by date. Sometimes there are multiple calls to the same numbers for each date. I have a field that shows the length of the calls. Is it possible to TALLY or ADD the total duration of all calls to one number? Right now my calendar looks like: 0:05 0:18 0:03 0:28 1:05 0:04 When I would prefer to just have one entry saying: 2:05 – Is this possible?

I was able to open an account last summer without trying and both are Creator’s plans. Wondering, are they still available? Was anybody able to get one recently? (FYI - Creator’s account is like Pro account without collaboration features.)

So I have a table that has all the clients on it, I then have another table that shows the sessions for each client. When I look at the shared view I would like the session notes to show up but instead it only shows the autonumber from the link. Is there anyway to show the info from the link records ?

Hello! I cannot figure this out, would be grateful for any help. I embed a view on our website and I want to include a button that will send an email to the collaborator named on the record. However, I can’t seem to get the URL to incorporate the collaborators email address. When I use the ‘owner/collaborater’ field in the URL it won’t save. I then added a new field (consultant contact) with the collaborators email and used that field in the URL code, but the email it creates uses the name of the field (i.e. consultant contact) in the “to:” section instead of the actual information included in that field, i.e. the email address.

If someone khow or been need something like this: I need have a master view, and in that view set a fields, and/or filters, groups, sorts, and widths for each field, and then the new views take that settings. This will would very useful when we have a lot of views and every view have the same configuration. Without that, We need set each view

Someone else set up our database - so I am not an expert - what’s happening is that the person doing data entry seems to be adding empty rows (not a problem) but also managing to delete a few records here and there. Because of that I am concerned it will repeat. We have a unique identifer for each piece of data but the data itself can change - it’s a tenant database so the names will differ. I don’t know how some of the data disappeared, but is there a way to protect the identifiers so they can’t be deleted at any time. Thanks in advance, Maggi

Hi! I’m trying to create in the same base a master table (that could later help me to create a dashboard by apps) with tables that are synced from other bases in the same base. For the purpose of giving you a bit of context, 3 teams have their own base where they list their projects, start-end dates, etc. that I compile on my own table by syncing them. So I want to aggregate that information that I can see from each team in one table avoiding copy-paste the data. Does somebody have any clue on how to do this? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone I’m relying on using the TODAY() formula to mark fields true or false if a date = today. The trouble is, the formula is not working as I expect. Although I can clearly see the date is today, the formula shows FALSE, and if I change the date to yesterday, it becomes TRUE. I am based in Asia, so I expect there is a conflict of timezones somewhere? Does anyone know how I can correct this? Thanks

Is it possible to connect an email to an airtable record? I have emails that I want to connect to a record in a table 1) for reference 2) for me to click on and take me to that chain. I will take either, or, both! The format of the email can be flexible - could be PDF (I know I can I export email as PDF and add, but I would like something more dyanmic, if possible.) My email system is gmail.

I have a base that contains two tables. Table 1 Meeting Schedule - Table 2 Meeting Type - Meeting schedule allows me to select a meeting type and assign it a date and populate the purpose, outcome, previous notes and attendees. I now want to use the Meeting Schedule link created in Meeting Types to identify the previous and next meeting. I am currently running a rollup that finds the dates of those events, but I am not able to actually link to the record using that information.

I changed from Free to Plus (annual) on 2020-07-13 and the workspace has [2 billable collaborator] at $120 per collaborator per year, for a total of $240 per year. I remove 1 collaborator on 2021-03-30. Will I receive a refund? What is the refund amount? When will I receive it? Does the refund be returned to my credit card account?

Hi, I am trying to consult a business which organizes house sales. Nowadays they do most of it on paper. Go to the house, fotograph the items, stick on a label with a number, which they generate on a spreadsheet, where each line is an item. Sometimes even paste in the foto in the spreadsheet. I am a filemaker developer but for this client I think Airtable could be better to start with. No… I understand Airtable but am not very savvy. My first problem is already… HOW do I print a simple Label? I mean somentihgn wit ID00023 or CLIENTX00023 on it… might even with Barcode? Do I already have to use the API and use ZAPIER and go into another software suite? Hints?

Hi there, I am trying to use the Matrix app, but I can only see the matrix when it’s fullscreen. No matter how wide I make it, it isn’t showing up. Anyone have any ideas on how to view without making it fullscreen?

Hello, I am looking for a way to enter the current time in a (duration) field in the web forum form by a single click or pre-filled (so it can be at least easy edited), as well as the current date for a date field. However, I can’t find a way to make javascript executable in the form. I need this because I want to log phone calls and there I also need the start and end time of a phone call. Thank you.
