At the office where i work, we use airtable for almost everything. However, the current notifications when being mentioned in a record are terrible. Is there a way i can make airtable audibly notify users when they’re mentioned in a record or someone comments on them? I asked airtable directly but they said i could use mobile notifications which doesn’t make a sound on the computer and they also mentioned turning on the chime block. Which, doesn’t have that feature, only when new records are added. Can someone help me find a way around this? Recap, I want my computer to make a loud sound when i’m mentioned in a record.

I’ve got a table of collaborators. I’ve got a table of projects. And I’ve got a table of documents. Each document is linked to a project and a collaborator. I need to know how many documents are assigned to each collaborator, broken down by project. So Collaborator 1 has 2 documents for Project A and 1 document for Project B, Collaborator 2 has 1 document for Project A and 3 documents for Project B, etc. I’m trying to figure out how to do that. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am Pro table premium with the annual plan. I would like to onboard one team to help me with my Airtable database data, but I don’t want to pay another annually; I would love to spend the other account as monthly due for only contract base. Now my question, If adding one collaboration, does that mean that I have to pay him annually as well? Or I do not understand the plan instruction yet. What would be the best solution in my case? We have set up several calendars for various streams. Now we would like to create a new ‘mothership calendar’ to be able to view all the events in the individual calendars in one place. Is there a way to do this without having to link to each event?

Here is an interesting integration I found. I use the Clipto app for some time although I am disappointed it takes them for about 2 years now to create an app for iOS. I thought the project is going to be abandoned but then suddenly they got this on offer now - a Zapier integration. https://clipto.pro/#/zapier So in this scenario you copy the text on Android device (copy menu) or computer and by doing so it would trigger a Zapier workflow, which could of course mean updating Airtable for instance. I could imagine creating a workflow that would enable me to fill in the Airtable directly by copying text while browsing a web page or looking at any document on a mobile device or computer. It could be I copy first the name, then the phone number, then email, maybe address etc… and the Zapier workflow could fill in Airtable for me. So I just wanted to share… I can’t tell you how it works though

I can create a chart app or a pivot table app but I would like to create a chart from a pivot table view. Does not necessarily have to be an ‘app’.

So I have a list of companies and their products. In order to let users add companies and products, I have to have a record for each. Example: Is it possible, in card view, to show only one card per company, but have all that companies products on that card? As opposed to one card for each record? (Having 10 Company A cards with one product on each card). I need random people with the link to be able to add companies and products and the above grid view is the only way I can figure out how to do it with a form. Airtable team, I’m a novice user and have benefitted GREATLY from Airtable. I am currently the only Airtable user in the company and I use it for planning tasks for production in a manufacturing facility. Nobody else sees this calendar, yet. I have reached a point that I need to be able to put the Airtable Calendar View up on display on our factory floor on a 50" 4K monitor, for the rest of the team to view. Especially for when I’m on vacation or otherwise not at the facility. However, it’s imperative that this is a “View/Search Only” access. I don’t want anyone accidentally moving anything, or having access to AirTable using my login credentials. I definitely want them to be able to scroll through the upcoming weeks, and perform searches for various criteria. I just need to be sure that there cannot be any edits made to any of the calendar entries, and no new entries added. How can I do this?

Good morning everyone, I have a question for managing multiple projects. if I set up my space by dividing the tabs by: Projects-Task-Managers-and counting hours, when a project ends, can I “freeze” it and not view it anymore? working with many projects that last one or two months I need to keep track of all my projects but I don’t want to delete the records every time a project ends. I know how to prefill a form via HTTP GET queries… But is it possible to prefill a form via HTTP POST fields instead so that the prefill data I’m submitting isn’t put into DNS logs or seen by MITM?

Hi, Im using Integromat to create new records in one of my tables. In this process I also provide a dropbox link to “upload” an image to airtable. The .png is added as attachment but the preview of it is never available. If I reupload the same .png file manually the preview works. There are some older threads here about temporary problems with certain airtable services that led to bugs with previews. Is this still a common problem? Is there a work around to fix the automatic image upload? Does it has something todo with the duration of the validity of the provided url to the image (e.g. a preview service revisiting the link later to generate the preview or sth.)?

Hello all. May I check if the following is possible with Airtable and in-built Automation. Trying to use a Main table input to create a new record into a new table. However it will be created in a “selected” existing table base on Input field condition. E.g. IF “Group1” THEN Create at Table1, IF “Group2” THEN Create at Table2 I asked the same question to support and they suggested Script approach as below. " While our create record action is set to a specific table (making what you’re trying to do impossible for a single automation), you might be able to do what you’re looking to by building a rather complex [Run a script Action]. This is an advanced corner of Airtable – you’ll need knowledge of JavaScript to be successful here." If this is true, was wondering what Script resource is needed to accomplish this.
