Hi there, I would love your help with making an IF THEN formula. I am importing my expenses from Mint. There are two columns: Amount: $ Transaction Type: Credit or Debit The amounts are all positive, and the “Credit” or “Debit” lets you know whether the number should be considered a positive or a negative number. I would like to have the following statement turned into a formula: In a new column called “True Amount” : If Transaction Type is Debit, Multiply Amount by -1 Therefore, if I spent $100 and earned $50 the numbers would look like this -$100 $50 and sum to $50 Now they look like: $100 $50 and sum to $150 which makes no sense THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hey everyone, To manage a safe workplace in a studio, individuals receive a tracker each day to measure their interactions. The end goal is to assess anyone who has qualified as having “close contact” with another person. These trackers measure interaction events per the above image. How do I total up multiple records to provide a summary of a device and display it in a concise format? Yes, I can group by day, by unit, and then filter and sort the data, but the QTY of records I get at the end of a day is quite large, and this will end up being slow and messy. I am really after a quick 40,000’ view summarising any individual that exceeds a total duration of 15minutes of contact… Ideally, I get the totaled summary of the device and put it in a chart, but I’m struggling with getting a quick summary or rollup of the totals at this point. Hi Everyone! I’m looking for some help using the page designer app. I have it set up to generate 900+ reports which are linked to the main table using a button field. My report length is not consistent. Some of the reports will only be one page while others will be over 10 pages. Does anyone know of a way to set up the page length to vary as a function of the table length? Right now I have page designer set to a custom length of 10 pages but this will cause extra blank pages to be at the end of each of the shorter reports. I could manually go through and print to pdf to remove the extra pages, but with the number of reports I am generating, this would be a very time consuming process. Any ideas would be appreciated!

We are currently creating a base for potential new partnerships. Wishin the base I have 2 separate forms for Stage 1 and Stage 2. How do I link the forms so an applicants stage 2 application doesn’t create a new field but attaches to their current record? I don’t want them to see what other applicants are in the process.

I am being billed for a collaborator who I added, but whose account does not show up in the edit collaborators dialog, which instead shows the message: “This workspace also has 1 base collaborator not represented above.” So I have no way to disable, delete or otherwise lower my monthly bill, even though the collaborator account is no longer in use, or needs to be changed to a different persons. Any suggestions?

Hi all I am brand new to airtable. I watched some videos and read some. I need to hear from experts if I can use airtable for my project. Here’s what I want to do: Search from a website for a specific entry in the database I dont want the user to see any entries before he searches If the search turns up something, then the option to only view/download the data in Pdf And if its a paying member, the ability to ADD a line of history to the record. Please note, not change the current data but add some more lines to the table. If search turns up nothing, then the user must be able to create an entry(or line) in the table which can then be later updated/added history by other users. All users must have access to all the data but only be able to see what they searched for All approved users must be able to add to the history Hope you can help or point me in the right direction Thanks a mil

Hi! I hope you could help me… A person who is no longer a part of our company created a base that we cannot find anywhere. The base was shared with several users, and until December we have been working with it. The person left the company in June, when her email was disabled. But it seemed not to be a problem, as we were able to work in the base for 6 months (from June to December). The problem is that now the base is not in any of the accounts it was shared, we are not able to find it. How can I get it back? It is not in the “trash” folder either. I’m looking for a formula that will return the smallest 8 of the last 20 items recorded. Here is the formula that I use in Excel to retrieve the information from a table: =AVERAGE(SMALL(INDEX(Golfer[Index],ROWS(Golfer[Index])-20):INDEX(Golfer[Index],ROWS(Golfer[Index])),{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8})) Any thoughts that this is/can be supported in AirTable?

Hi AC, we are using Airtable for employees to submit their vacation dates. They provide a start, as well as an end date of their vacation, so that we are able to accept or decline their inquiry. We have to replace every shift with another employee and can only do so untill a certain count. Lets say 10 replacements per day to keep every thing running. i would love to find a smart solution, where Airtable already suggest a decline, because 10 relplacements where already accepted on that certain date. How to i go from a tange between to dates to counts on a specific date?

Hello, I’m new to Airtable, so please forgive me if the answer to this is obvious. I’d like to create a table and give people access to a filtered view - but not always the SAME filtered view (I understand I could do that by simply giving them a link). Example: let’s say my table contains details of recent films. I have fields with an age rating, the category of film (suitable for families etc.), the language etc. Is there a way to allow people to fill in a form listing which criteria they’re interested in (let’s say PG, comedy, French), and based on their replies, sharing that particular filtered view? But on another occasion, they might fill in different answers (let’s say 15, family films, English), and thus get access to a different view? I don’t want them to see the full base, or to have to apply filters themselves. I have a membership site where I could embed pages. Thank you for your help! Sophie

Hi there, I am trying to create a link between my “Handover” table (which has a unique ID for each transaction of multiple items) and individual “Inventory” Items (which have been coded uniquely as well). What I would like to have happen is that as soon as one or multiple items are handed over, it adjusts the value of the specific “Inventory” items. The Primary Columns are different for each table. Can anyone help with this?

Hello! We are two people collaborating on the same dataset, however, we use it for different purposes and we want one shared table with information that we maintain, and two other tables, one for each of us, on which we can maintain additional data for each record of that main table. Here are my questions: What is the best way to do this? I can add an empty table and have a field that links to another table, but I need this to be my primary field (which doesn’t seem to support linking), and I also need records to be added automatically to the “clone” tables when they are added to the main table. I tried using “sync tables” but I can’t figure them out. When I add a “synced table”, I have to select a shared view, but there is nothing to select, I’m just stuck on my main table with some options missing in the toolbar and I have to actually refresh the page to get them back… Is there a way to do this (all tables in the same database) with the free vers

We have volunteer events that we need to reoccur on specific days of the month. For example, Zuma Ranch has volunteer orientation on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. How can I automate the date to update to the next Tuesday it will happen so the date updates on the listing? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hello! I need some help. When working with Zapier to connect Airtable and Asana, I am running into an issue that just started happening. My Zapier automation is failing on the last step (3. Update Record in Airtable) with the following message: The app returned “You are not permitted to perform this operation because the field or table has been configured to limit who can perform this operation”. I have no fields that would be causing this issue and the table itself is not restricted (everyone in my base is a creator). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello, Just one quick question about Table Sync. Since we are new to Airtable and just started exploring it, trying to build our workflows and see if it can fit our needs, we thought to start utilizing this sync from the start for updating and maintinging some shared information. Basically, we wanted to have on “Global” base where we could put tables with our clients, contacts, suppliers etc. and then sync those tables to other bases for our other departments. This way we won’t need to make separate tables for each department and would have single point that needs to be updated and maintained. Question here is, there is no way for people in those other departments to update for example client list from their base (where they would have clients table synced from “Global”), only option is to update existing fields with button column option?. They would need to have access to “Global” database and directly add new client in origin table? Idea was to restrict

I’m back to using Airtable after a relatively long hiatus, and in my OLD bases, I could copy a row of data from my “TASK - CURRENT” tab, and move it to my “TASK-COMPLETED” tab (same base, identical data fields, etc.) by selecting the row, hitting “CTRL+C”, going to the Completed Tab, creating a new row, and hitting “CTRL+V”. I’ve tried everything, including going back to my OLD bases and doing exactly that. I can’t, however, find ANY way to copy/paste or move a row to a different tab within this NEW base. Would love to call support, but… Any info would be MUCH appreciated!
