Hi, I download a view from Airtable. When I open it in Numbers, the “,” in the price disappear. For example, 15.95$ becomes 1595$ When I open it in Excel, it doesn’t read the csv and puts everything in one column. How can I correct this? Thank you

Hi! I have some customer data that includes the date they signed up & the date they canceled. Each row is a customer. I want to calculate my customer retention and have done it using google sheets. My current solution uses a column for week1, week2, week3…etc a series of IF statements to determine if the customer was retained (1) or churned (0). Then, my summary row at the bottom can tell me my churn rate. What I’m wondering is two things: how can I transpose those summaries from being spread across columns to something I can chart in Vega lite. OR Is there a way to avoid creating all of these extra columns and running these cumulative summaries in JSON/Vega lite

Hi all, I think my AirTable is getting too many refreshes notifications in less than 5 minutes. eg 10 times in a row. I’m working on a table with 8 collaborators, but not all of them are online at the same time. It’s so annoying that I had to come here and ask for help. Even the app for Windows 10 or the web version for Chrome has the same issue. Regards, Jesse

Okay. So I have excel-brain and am getting frustrated with Airtable lol. How would you organize this? 1 Department 6 Sub-Departments 1000s of records that move between the sub-departments with demographic info, actions done for the record, and licenses associated with the record in all 50 states tracked? We need to track all this info for each record and then fluidly move the info as the record moves through the sub departments.

Would it be possible to see two images side by side (as in a magazine) in a gallery view? I am working your a magazine project and my collaborators would like to have the two-pages look in each card instead of the one page per card that I use now. I use the Content Calendar in “My first workplace” as demo. Thank you.

I created a view to use for a Pivot Table, and I’ve chosen that view in the Pivot Table settings. For some reason the Pivot Table is pulling ALL the information from the main table, not just the information from the view I’ve chosen. What am I doing wrong?

Anyone else noticing that the “date” field in forms isn’t working? Did I accidentally click something I shouldn’t have? This is happening across multiple bases, in multiple form views. I am able to add a date to the field in the actual record in Airtable, and am able to add a date as a test in the form view in Airtable … but when I go to the live form, the date field doesn’t function. I select a date, and it doesn’t populate.

For some reason the date field will not allow me to select or add a date? Any idea why?

@Justin_Barrett In this situation we are using form stack documents to autofill the forms and we want to be able to have the date be automatically synced when checked and I tired the IF formula but it does not seem to work. Any ideas on this problem?

Hi everyone, I’m creating a script that can be used in conjunction with the Gantt App. Each record has a duration and a pre-defined antecedent or “Preceding Step”. Sometimes, a given record has more than one antecedent, and this is where I’m having an issue in my code. I used recursion to capture all the “children” of a given task, thus connecting them on timeline. Their start and end dates link up, while any other set of tasks could be independent. Here is where I’m stuck: Where the code says “if(!startdate)”, the whole point is to not re-fill in a date with a second antecedent if the date is already complete. (If I can get this to work, I would compare the dates of the two antecedents and use the later one, thus having this new task begin when the latest of its multiple antecedents is completed.) But the IF appears to be letting everything through! Even more strangely, if I run the script once, and the dates are all full, then run it again, the IF statement does work as expected, and

Hello, i need help with integrating with asana. I have set it up using integromat successfully to update a task, mark it as complete/incomplete or create a new task. Now, i would like to create a option whereby, i could delete an asana task when the record that created it in the first place is deleted in the airtable. The flow would that i created a record, which in turn created a task in asana. Now, for any reason, if a delete the record, i would like the task to be deleted as well. I need help with the filter specifically how could integromat recognize the task that should be deleted. Kindly guide.

hi! i have a table called “roles” with role name, company name and a separate table called “applicants” that is a form that users should be able to select a role name + company combination and drop their resume. i have it set up to link to the roles table, but in the form, it only shows the role title, not company. so when a user goes to this form, they can only select the title without seeing what company it is for. how can i have it show both? attached is a screenshot of what it looks like in airtable and what i would like it to look like (in google tables).

Hi, in my base I am unable to view PDF attachments. I am using Chrome. It works on firefox and works for my firends who are also on chrome. I can view docx / images. I dont have any extensions running and have reset chrome to the default settings. Would love some help!

Hello, I am looking to create a script triggered when a condition is met that opens a static URL and Clicks a Button - or any process that would accomplish the same. My Problem I am using Stacker as for my web-app and Airtable (AT) as my DB. When a field is updated in Stacker, the data is being sent to AT, triggering an AT automation that updates other fields within the same record however, AT is sending a RESULT back to Stacker before the AT Automation is complete. This means the data being displayed to my users is inaccurate and the app not usuable unless I find a workaround. I have contacted Stacker, but they are not able to provide a solution - so, I’m now asking here. My Solution Have a script triggered using a field affected by the automation that opens the Airtable update page in Stacker and presses the “Start Update” button. While this would require my users to refresh the page to see the updated info, its the best solution I can come up with until I can move away from Stacker.

Hi everyone, I’m having a lot of trouble setting up a Zapier-Gmail-Airtable integration. Basically, I want to be able to do the following: Create a PDF of an email that is sent to a holder Gmail account (will only receive the emails that I want and forward to the account); Find a record in Airtable that matches on email or sender’s name Update the record in Airtable I was wondering if anyone has done this particular setup before or otherwise has experience with using Zapier to PDF an email (this is where I am struggling the most). Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi, We have a base set up where we track our agents appraisals, listings, sold properties etc. The appraisals tab is currently set to be viewed by everyone however I need to hide it from everyone that has read only access so only administration (editor and above) can see the tab/views. Is there a way we can do this? I can’t remove the agents as we have automations running where I require them to have access to the base and I can’t remove the tab completely from the base because that then affects our agent dashboards in apps. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Sarah
