I’ve seen versions of this post, but not this specific issue, and I can’t ever get Airtable support to answer my help requests so putting it out there to see if anyone has a fix! In the “Next Renewal Date Calc” field, I want to add 90 days to the adjacent date in the “Current Period Start Date” field, but only if there is data in that record. Otherwise, I’d like the “Next Renewal Date Calc” field to be blank. However - it appears I’ve got one of two options. Don’t do an if / then statement, just do a date add formula in Next Renewal Date Calc, and then it shows an error in the records that don’t have an adjacent Current Period Start. However, it shows the date formatted for human eyeballs. Write an if / then statement, which returns data as expected, leaving dates only in the fields with an adjacent Current Period Start date. I have a big table (Main Table) with lots of linked records to various other tables, lookups etc. The Primary field of Main Table is Calculated. I made a new Table, added a secondary field, and tried to link it automatically by pasting in the 100 primary fields from Main Table. But only some records will link up, w lots of fields staying blank. Exact same result when I paste in as single line text, and then convert it to a linked field. I CAN however, link each field manually to the ones that wouldn’t automatically link. I tried looking for certain circumstances in the Main Table that were unique to those that wont link up automatically, and cannot find any trends. I have the highest permissions, and fields are not locked that I know of. Maybe some sub-field is locked that is causing the issue? A little unnerving because I am going to rely on some big linking operations to get each of my annual work cycle’s started. Thanks!!

I have a base that has about 50 fields that are connected and are used to calculate things. I would be super helpful to have something like a tree that shows the relationships between these cells. For now, I’m just trying to order them correctly from left to right, but every time I need to make a change that has an impact on multiple calculations, it takes a while, Anyone knows what I mean?

I am trying to ingest records that include formatted text from another database into Airtable. I have tried converting the formatted text to markdown and packaging it in XML so I could use the XML import app to add it to my base, but when I try to map the element containing the rich text to a column with rich text enabled, that column is not available in the picker. I hope that the API allows for creation of records with rich text, but - before I spend time writing the code to try to do this, I wanted to confirm 1) that I did not make some kind of error in the XML import app or in configuring the relevant column in my base that precluded that method from working and 2) that the API should allow for this functionality. I tried searching the documentation in the help center, but found nothing describing any limitations to or methods for importing rich text.

I am a newbie to Airtable. I want to generate a report from a base. The Page Designer app will only allow me to report one record at a time. How can I get multiple, filtered records to show on the report?

Hello guys, I’ve been using Airtable for 6 days now and my boss ask me to arrange the raw data that he gathered into Airtable(in grid view? The ones that is looks similar to excel) and there’re a whole bunch of columns that I have to scroll left and right in order to fill things up and it’s kinda slow me down. so, I’m not sure that the Airtable can zoom in-out in grid view? I want to see those columns as much as possible .thank you

I have created a Base on my iPhone. It appears the same on my MacBook Pro. I created a second base in the same workspace on my Mac. It only appears there not on my iPhone. How can I get it to appear on both devices?

We’ve encounter an issue with one of our bases on airtable, the ‘over limits’ pop-up appeared next to our project name. We have a Free Plan, the record limits it says 1,200 records per base, but our total record used is 247 records. We’ve tried rearranging our columns but the ‘over limits’ pop-up still shows. I am new to Airtable, and am building a very simple database for a school to allow families to find the necessary books assigned to their students’ classes. I like the Gallery view for this, but when I set up a filter so that a parent can simply select the course from a drop-down menu, I am not given the option to select comparison values for that filter. The course names are controlled vocabulary, so I should be able to give the user an alpha list of courses to choose from. If this doesn’t work, then there’s no point! Thanks.

Okay, so what I am trying to do here is move a project from my “client projects” table into a “completed projects table”. I thought I could do this by creating a “single select” and when the single select “done” is selected, it would disappear from “client projects” and move into “completed projects”. However, I have been unable to make this happen. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am a lawyer and I use Airtable to analyze facts for litigation: i.e. I list all of the relevant facts (like a chronology), then link them with people, issues, etc. In the Airtable, I have a field listing the source for the fact. I use a “bates number” – a unique identifying number stamped on each page of a document in litigation. Most bates numbers look like this XYZ-ABC-000123456. Is there a way to have the computer take the bates number field from Airtable, find a document that has the same bates number as the filename of a pdf (e.g. XYZ-ABC-000123456.pdf), and add that file to the attachment filed of the record? I can point the tool to the particular folder that has all of the pdfs. Many thanks

Has anyone had issues with a base dissapearing?? I have a base that is suddenly not available anymore. Is there a history feature where you can see if a base has been deleted accidentally, and is there any way of recovering that base? Thanks!

At this point we are trying to create magic and we are in WAY over our heads… Heres our issue… We have all of our data structured in multitude of google sheets, and all of the data is in airtable… We also have a website that dynamically connects to airtable… We are tracking an esports league and 13 teams as of now, and need some things to track top 5 stats, player season and lifetime stats, as well as something easy to keep updated so we can eliminate sheets since the website connects better with airtable. " GraphQL error: Either you don’t have permission to read from this data source or it doesn’t exist. Hi there! I’m fairly new to using airtable in my workplace. We track quit a bit of packages from various couriers - UPS, DHL, FedEx. Does anyone know if there is a way to easily link the tracking details from a specific courier’s website into a base so that parcel updates appear within a field? Thanks in advance!

I have a template set up in Page Designer in one base that took a lot of time to build out. We had to restore an old version (just a few days older, the template still existed) of the base as a new/separate base, but the app configuration didn’t transfer over. I don’t want to build it out from scratch on this new base, is there a way to transfer my Page Designer settings or copy them from the old base into the new base? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize my contracts and their extensions. For example: Company A has Contract Alpha and Contract Beta. Initially, Contract Alpha was to be complete on 1/30/2021, but Company A has chosen to extend their contract to end on 2/10/2021. The extension to the Alpha contract will have a different PO number, budget, etc. so they will have different ‘internal codes’ that we use to track the progress, deliverables, timeline, etc. What I’m looking for/trying to figure out: The best way to have the contract extensions be set up like a contract and subcontract(s) relationship so that they are ‘nested’ somewhat like this, but in Airtable form: Company A Alpha Contract Alpha contract extension 1 Alpha contract extension 2 Alpha contract extension 3 Beta Contract Beta contract extension 1 Beta contract extension 2

Good day all! New Airtable user here. I’m experimenting with Airtable Pro to gain some functionality over Google Calendar for planning complex jobs across multiple manufacturing departments within our facility. I’m using it as a glorified calendar and I’m trying to get over a couple hurdles I cannot figure out. I need to export about 12 different Google Calendars into Airtable, which I’m able to do by exporting each Calendar as an .ics file, and importing that file into Airtable. Here’s where I run into two MAJOR hurdles. I need to be sure I maintain the NAME of each Google Calendar as it’s imported into Airtable, into a field titled “Department”. For example, I have a Google Calendar named “Material Arrival”, and I have a department in the drop-down menu titled the same. However, when I import the .ics file, I do not get an option to map the Google Calendar’s name to any field. Nor do I seem to have an easy option to automatically set the Air

Hello the community, my table has a list of projects (one line per project) with monthly income and a number of months, thus calculating the yearly income per project (one column for monthly amount and one column for number of months) and per year if i sum all the lines. i am trying to create a view so I can visualize (in a dashboard) my forecasted revenue per month that includes all projects. The problem is that my table does not provide in which specific months the monthly revenue applies. I also have a column with project start date and a column with project end date but I am not sure how i can use it to capture a monthly revenue per project. i hope my explanation is clear enough. Hi there! I am having trouble finding an easy way to clean my base of deleted records from a source file. Context I am using a base to monitor projects for an innovation program. Each project has an unique ID. These projects come from exports from an external platform (CSV files). I then import the data into Airtable to manage these projects easily, very regularly. However, if a project is deleted on the external platform (and thus does not appear in the “master” CSV file), I can’t find a way to delete it automatically in my Airtable base. Need I can easily import new projects using the unique ID but I can’t really find a way to compare the “master” CSV file that I use for the import with my “slave” database in Airtable. I would like to figure a way to detect (using the unique ID) the records that have been deleted from the “master” CSV file but are still present into my “slave” base. Is this something tha

I have previously granted someone on my team access to a base within our project workspace. I now would like to grant them access to the entire workspace but am having trouble figuring out how to do so. I can’t be the first person that has done this before, can someone help me identify what I’m missing? Thanks! I have tried sending them a new invite link for the whole workspace, but it is not granting them access when they click the link, they only see the base they already had access to. I then tried deleting their access to the base and sending the link to the workspace again, but now they don’t have access to anything upon clicking the link. This is very frustrating!
