I have a column in a table formated as rich text. I want to auto populate other cells in the same column with the same rich text in the first cell when a status in another column changes from “empty” to “is not empty”. I update a record once a response is received and need to auto populate a check-box set of data in another cell once the status is updated. Other option maybe? Batch update rich text? Anyone know how to do this? Thank you!

Is there a way to open apps setup in airtable, using the airtable mobile device? I use the time tracker app in one of my bases and I want to be able to track time on the go also

Hi there. I have a database with multiple tables (tabs) but I only want to share one of them with my customers and I would like for them to only be able to have access to edit one field within that table. This would allow them to keep track of inventory and work done while having it synced up to my database. Is this doable? Thanks Brad

Hello, We want to recover the data we have in Google Data Studio to integrate it into Airtable. The data has to be synchronized between the two, meaning that when the data from Google data studio changes, it has to change in Airtable as well. Ideally, the data should be in real time. While Airtable does EVERYTHING we need it to do – we can’t use it because it is not Hipaa compliant . Can anyone recommend another platform as good as Airtable? We have a very simple flat database used for tracking surgical data There are 15+ fields Some text fields Two date fields Several combo Felds Several check box fields ** One attachment field that can accommodate multiple attachments ** We have multiple views to look at the database and allow users to EASILY filter by DR and date, and edit/print the records. We would like to be able to customize the input form more – but it is great that it accessible from all the different views The search capability from multiple views is nice too. The ability to see many fields in the horizontal view is great and the ability when printing to shrink the font size to fit data horizontally is huge. Hello Everyone! I use AT to generate a complicated cost and quotation document for our business and a part of that step is copying and pasting data from AT to a google sheets template. Recently when pasting data, random rows will not paste properly. In the same table and view columns will paste in different orders. Check this link for an example I sent to the customer service team. Hello I am monitoring many projects at one time on a base. I have different pages/tabs on my base that categorise the projects from imminent, current and completed. I have filtered the entries of the projects by name of the project on each page/tab so that I can follow the allocation of spend of each. Once the project is complete I want to move all those entries on the “current” page/tab to the “completed” page/tab. I have tried to copy and cut as you would usually do on excel and it doesn’t work. Please could someone help me. Thank you

Hello, I’m trying to import accounting from a CSV file in Airtable. In the CSV file the number is formatted like this : 3240,50 (European format - Three thousand two hundred forty Euro and fifty Cents) When i import in Airtable it become : 324,050.00 (US format) (It can change depending on how i set up the decimal on the field) The result is a wrong number so i can’t use it as it is. I’m quite new on Airtable so i hope to find a quick fix. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

I am using Airtable as a database for a sports team. Ultimately I will be placing this data on a website. I need to be able to track player stats in a table, and then career stats in another table. Is there a way for two tables to talk, and automatically add the career stats? Lets say I have three tables… Teams… Player (Current Season)…And…Player (Career Total) Can current season and player communicate? Is there a good way to organize this data? I am very new to this… Any suggestions are helpful…

Don’t see a lines/polygons feature in Map App (I’ve asked support to verify) to group sites by geography. Anybody built or integrated a 3rd party app to do that?

Is there anyway to customize how Airtable sorts alphabetically in grid view? For example, I’m sorting names with accent marks and AirTable puts the (e.g., Sáblan sorts last after Sanchez rather than first).

Not sure if I am using the right terminology but… I want make a link (term?) to an Excel file on our company network drive. I just want to hit link and have Excel file open. No plans to load data into Airtable (at this time). This file is update regularly by various users who sign into our company system.

Most of them are working perfectly, however some emails are not being received even though the automation actually ran. I can’t figure out the issue. Is it a problem on the receiver’s side ? Hi all, I deal with a lot of 3D geometry files in a manufacturing context. I’d like to be able to provide automatic thumbnail previews for my uploaded .STEP, .STL, and/or .SLDPRT files. Can anyone recommend a way of doing this? I see that the 3D Space App supports manipulatable renderings of .OBJ files, which are quite similar to .STEP files in a lot of ways. But it’s too much work for us to upload .OBJ files in addition to .STEP - I would need to find a way to automatically convert between the two formats in Airtable. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Alternatively, I was imagining there could be an app that deals directly with .STEP files. I wouldn’t even need 3D renderings, just a static thumbnail preview would be enough. Has anyone heard of a solution like this? Thanks all, -Z

I have a base I’m using to build an equalization table. It has to do with providing fair overtime based on overtime worked and opportunities not worked. I thought I had the sheet working well, until today when my boss threw a wrench in the works. I have to subtract where a normal shift overlaps an overtime shift to get total overtime worked. One table contains employee data, including their normal shift start and end times. The other table contains details of an overtime shift that was worked. If I have a user who works 7A to 3:30P, but got called in for an overtime shift, and he worked 5A to 7:30P, I need to make it so the formula will automatically subtract the normal shift time from the shift worked. (I know, this one is easy, it’s 8 hours). Not all employees work the same shifts, and I need to be able to automatically subtract whatever part of their regular shift overlaps the shift that was actually worked. Good afternoon folks. I have PRO account with several bases our department collaborates with. I have one base in particular that my boss and I have access to, me as Owner, him as editor. One field is a single select, and he is not able to add new values to the choices by typing into the field. I have gone so far as to select specific users to allow editing to the field, I’ve made it so editor and higher have rights to enter data… no matter how he tries, he can’t add a new value. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello! Here is my situation. I have 2 tables. Table A Populates based on information submitted by the client. Fields include: name, email, subdivisions they live in, a description of a problem and an empty field with the name of the ambassador of that subdivision. Table B Has information about the ambassadors responsible for client of certain subdivisions. Fields include: name email and an array of subdivisions they are responsible for. I want to autopopulate the Ambassador field in Table A with the name of the ambassador responsible with that subdivision. The program would need to look at the subdivision name in table A, then check which ambassador has that subdivision in table B and then fill the empty field in table A with the name of the appropriate ambassador. I am hoping a IF (Find) would work but I can’t think of how to look into other tables I tried by automating update record. I was trying to update a record if a record was created and add the name of the appropriate ambassado

Hi everyone, I’m trying to have the view name in my row. Basically what I’m doing is I have all these views each with a unique filter, and when a user enters the view I would like to display the name of the view he entered in the row. I tried doing this with automations but the limit is 25 and my views are more than a 100. I can do it with zapier but it would be very time consuming, do you think there might be another way?

Hi Everyone, I’ve been encountering some strange bugs in my bases all day, which is pretty unusual for Airtable. Some other staff members in my company have also reported things going wrong, so I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or knows what may be causing it? So far we have had- Linked records disappearing Search function not finding records that are definitely there Formula not working properly on some records (but not all) for no discernible reason and with no consistency across records Can anyone advise?

I want to get the referral credit and I want them to open my shared base. Is there a way to do that in one link? If not, what process would you suggest?
