Hi, I have used the field with the “link to another record” option and I was wondering whether it was possible to link to two different records? The information I’m looking to link is distributed over two different tables. Thanks

I have previously granted someone on my team access to a base within our project workspace. I now would like to grant them access to the entire workspace but am having trouble figuring out how to do so. I can’t be the first person that has done this before, can someone help me identify what I’m missing? Thanks! I have tried sending them a new invite link for the whole workspace, but it is not granting them access when they click the link, they only see the base they already had access to. I then tried deleting their access to the base and sending the link to the workspace again, but now they don’t have access to anything upon clicking the link. This is very frustrating!

Morning all. I have a base I’m working on that calculates overtime, It also compares the overtime shift worked to an employee’s scheduled shift. I have a set of DURATION fields for each employee - Mon Start, Mon End, Tues Start, Tues End… for all 7 days of the week. Based on the day of the week our OT shift works, it shows the appropriate day’s shift. I’m pulling the start date of an event from one table (Overtime Events), the employee’s normal shift from another table (Employee Data), and the calculation is in a 3rd table (OT Shift Data). I’m trying to concatenate the DATE ONLY from when an overtime shift begins, and the DURATION field from the employee’s info, to create one date field I can use for other calculations. None of the date/time formulas seem to give me the results I’m looking for. Can anyone please offer any advice?

Hi, Can I save data from an external entity (REDCap in this case) into Airtable using an API? My ideal data workflow would be: from REDCap into Airtable. then from Airtable into SharePoint (via a Microsoft SQL Database ideally).

Hello! :slightly_smiling_face: I am in the midst of setting automation about email reminders. I’ve read about “trigger email reminder on specific date”, and I’ve successfully created email triggered by google calendar event (I set it on 3rd every month). The thing is, I need to set 2nd automation: when there’s no record created between 5th date of the month before until 5th date of this month. For example, when there’s no record created from 5th January 12.01 until 5th February 11.59, there must be an email sent to remind my team to create a record). May you help me with what function or anything I can work with? Thank you in advance!

I’m looking for a way to automate filling a airtable form link multiple times . I have to manually submit a request each time which is frustrating. I intend to submit a list of text /hyperlinks (in a file such as CSV preferably ) and then automate submitting it to a given form. The form is one time accept only and one needs to re-open the given link and submit the given text/hyperlink. If not possible for a form how can I submit it to a table let’s say?

Hi, I’d like to have a view that shows only the records that are created when a form is filled out and then sent. I sometimes add records mannually in a table, but most of the time the records will be created by someone (client) that fills a form. I’d like to have a view for only those records. Does that exist ? Hi everybody! I am trying to visualize/compare the number of people interested in each type of movement class on different days and times, so I want to make a bar chart of the information within each Class Type record. For instance, I would like to get a bar chart comparing all of Flow Yoga’s field values in the first row of my table (see screenshot below). This is very simple to do with something like Google Sheets, but I can’t seem to find a way to do it with the Chart App. Am I missing something? Thanks so much! -Allie

I am creating a calendar using dates from records. The records are all associated with different statuses depending on their life cycle. When someone clicks on the record in the calendar, it expands to show ALL of the fields - many or which are not relevant depending on the records status. Is there a way to hide fields in calendar view (the same way you can do in grid views)? I understand you can hide and show fields per record, but this is impossible, I have too many records which switch between different statuses. Please tell me there’s a solution that I am missing…? Also how does the calendar view decide what fields to hide? The number of fields hidden does not correspondence to any other view I have created??

I’m currently creating a web app where I’m pulling data from Webflow and Memberstack using Zapier. I have 2 separate tables. Table 1: On this table, I have a list of provinces each as a checkbox field. So if a real estate agent is licensed in a province, that province gets a checkmark. So if they’re licensed in Ontario, the “ON” checkbox field gets checked. Table 2: On the second table, I have a list of requests where there’s a province single select field, so if a request came from Ontario, “ON” gets selected. Right now, I need to have a reference field that assigns these requests from table 2 to the real estate agents that are licensed in the matching province. So if Request 1 came from Ontario, all real estate agents from Ontario should get assigned that request. Can anyone help me with this please? Totally stuck right now

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone might have an idea of a way that I can merge multiple tables into one table that constantly updates. Basically I have an accounting workspace that I am setting up and really like. But ideally in a base, I would like to have different worksheets for different revenue and expense categories, but also one sheet that summarizes all of those. For instance, I want a sheet for payroll that has all the information related to payroll (confirmation numbers, amounts, payee, etc. etc.), but then I would like another sheet for say office and managerial expenses and another for travel expenses (not that much of that is happening right now!). Then, I would like another sheet that shows all the expenses (say by date paid) and gives a summary of them (with less detail obviosuly, since details for payroll and travel expenses may not line up). We have a base that lists all of our dealers’ contact information, including state. State is a single-select field, with all states listed, just to make it easier for people to enter the correct state, and also to ensure consistency of the state abbreviations. I created a grid view grouping our dealers by state, which worked fine. However, at the top of the list is an “empty” record – and I can’t figure out why. I looked in the single select list (where you manually input the data) and didn’t see any blank or empty fields. I also looked at all the individual dealer entries to make sure each one has a state selected, and they all do. Any ideas why that empty field is appearing?

I have set-up a sync. In my original base, I have current customer data that I am working with. In my synced table I want to have a historical record of the data for that customer. I have therefore set-up a sync so when the records are deleted or hidden in the source table I “leave the records in this table”. Now everything works well. However in my synced table, I want to delete historical data after a certain period of time, but it doesn’t allow me to manually delete records I get the message “You can’t delete this record because this table is synced from an external source” Does anyone have any suggestions/workarounds?

Hi I have taken over an airtable base from another person. This base has 3 tables, Cost Centres Transactions Summary In the transaction table I have groups of transactions that are linked to the cost centre table. Basically I need a new group with an unused cost centre in it. But if I create a copy of the groups I cannot change its title. I need to change this to an existing cost centre in the other table I have uploaded an image so you can see what I am on about Thanks

My office manager and myself are both owners on the same table which we use to track orders. Sometimes it is necessary for us both to be in that base/table at the same time but be filtering for a different thing (typically customer name). If I have it filtered for last name “Miller”, but in her workspace she needs to filter by last name “Jones”, I lose the Milers and suddenly see the Jones. This obviously doesn’t work for us! This is the reason that I created a separate user for her–I hoped this would solve this problem. I don’t want the same view as a different user, I want the filtered view I select. We both need to be able to make changes to the table so we both have full permissions.

Hi there, I created a typeform that integrats with Table A on Airtable. The integration works perfect. However, when I link Table A with Table B, the typeform integration breaks down and I start to see duplicate records. The first record is incomplete and the second one is complete. Anyone experienced the same issue?

Hi all, I’ve read various threads on permissions etc when sharing Databases. I am still confused if it’s possible for read only users to still be able to filter views or if there is any way at all to be able give people the ability to use filters without having to pay extra on my monthly bill. I think I’ve tried the various methods but every time I make the access privileges read only the filters disappear. For people viewing the data it is only really useful if they can filter it down to what they are looking for. I’m also a bit worried in my tests if I gave someone editor permissions im suddenly going to be billed for it *yikes! Any help would be brilliant. Glen

Hi there, I have 8 Bases with 1 sheet each, where I have partners that are entering Customer Data in different columns. I want to be able to aggregate all theses Bases into 1 Bases divided into 8 Sheets, so I can have an overview on what’s happening / has been updated / created on all those individual Bases, within 1 main Base. How can I manage it? Thanks

Hello. It appears the “sort by” option isn’t working in a couple of my bases. When sorting by the name field (A), it is creating two consecutive lists A>Z. It isn’t sorting them alphabetically as one column. They are not grouped, filtered, or sorted by anything else. Nothing weird with their names, no punctuation or anything like that. Checked two other bases, one is working (only has 43 records), and the other isn’t sorting properly either. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I received a link to input my available times into my organization’s AirTable Calendar, but the page keeps telling me to Sign Up or else I won’t be able to contribute anything. I had already signed in, but every time I clicked on this calendar link, I was unable to add anything link because it continuously told me that I wasn’t signed in! What should I do? Hi all, so my situation is I’ve got a bunch of automations in place for "if consult booked field is empty AND info session booked field is not empty, change the status field to “Info session booked no consult” and the like based on customer actions. But on the free plan I’m limited with the number of times it can be run per month so trying to find a way to make the status field a formula instead. I got this working for if both fields are empty so thought I was on the right track, but can’t work out how to change it for the info session booked field is not empty.
