Is there a way to link a primary field to another primary field in a different table?
Hello the Community, I’m sorry for this stupid question, or, at least, a question coming from a beginner… but didn’t find my answer since days! I have to manage a coaching data base, where I follow each appointment with the Coachee’s Name, the Coach’s Name, the date of the appointment, the debriefing etc… And I would like to create an indicator showing the number of coachings done by a coach since the 1st of the current month. I don’t want a count since the past 30 days, but since the 1st day of the month. For example: we are the 22nd of Jan and I would like to count the number of coachings done since the 1st of jan… not since the 22nd of december. And of course, I would like to have it in an automatic way to follow it each month. Thanks a lot for your help!
I have a table of sports events with an Event Name and the Event Hosts. The Event Host field I have set to Link to Another Record. This auto generates a Lookup in the next column. The data for Event Host is stored on my other table (tab) called Clubs. The Event Name data even appears on this Clubs table now that it is linked. However, my Vue prints what is in the Look Up column but with square brackets. How do I remove these square brackets? Or have I got things set up wrong? <ul class="results-list" v-for="record in records" :key="record.id"> <li> <span class="text">{{ record['fields']['eventName'] }}</span> <span class="text">{{ record['fields']['clubName'] }}</span> </li> </ul> My Airtable and the output from Vue is as in the attached images .
Hi, I’m using the page designer block to design labels to print from a work order database. I want to be able to print a quantity of labels based on the number in the QTY field so each individual item has a label. I’m guesing there’s no way to do that directly, so another alternative would be to either internally via a script or code or using zapier turn my original database rows: into this: which could then be printed normally. Can anyone help me here? Thanks.
Dear community, I’m working on making a simple interface using a table with one record where each field is a button field. The button for a field runs an app script to do something. For example, create a new record in a particular table. For the script that creates a record in table NNN, i’d like the script to tell the browser to switch to that table with a particular view that is set with a filter that will be showing that newly created record. I have searched high and low as to how to get an app script to do my bidding. I ran into someone saying that all you can do is to output the URL you create and tell the user to click on that URL. I tried adding code to use window.open(myURL, _self) but the editor says “Cannot find name ‘window’.(2304)”. So the “window” object is not accessible from scripting app. I tried to see if anything, base, table, view, had window as a member. No love. How can this be? I have a URL that will open (and does if you output it from the script so user can clic
I’m working on a recipe production database. I will have a table for all available ingredients, and another table with recipes that uses ingredients. When writing a recipe, i have a linked field where the author can pick ingredients in the recipe table. Problem is of course specifiying the amounts of ingredients in the recipe. With this method, I can just select what ingredients a recipe contains, not what amount that exact recipe contains of each ingredients. I was looking for some tips on this in the airtable “recipe organiser”-template. Here there is a recipe QTY field in the ingredients table – however, in the samples each ingredient is only linked to one recipe. Seems a bit superficial? In my base, same ingredients will be linked to many recipes. Probably the case in most recipe databases. The Recipe QTY field, of course varies between different recipes so the ingreedient cant be re-used ebtween recipes with different amount of say potatoes or cucumber. Is there any way of doing t
I’ve created a form to accept job applicants into our airtable ATS. When I try to test it, I can fill out the first few fields, and then when clicking on the 4th entry box (enter linkedin profile link–link field, not required) the form goes completely blank. The whole thing disappears. Any clue? Also: happens in Chrome, not Safari. Safari works as expected.
Hey community, I wanted to give a proactive heads up that we’re currently experiencing some downtime for some users. Our engineers are actively investigating the issue, and we’ll have more updates as soon as possible. I would recommend following this incident here on our status page for updates, but I’ll also update this topic once the issue is fully resolved.
Hello Everyone, I want to upload an image to airtable base and when I fetch a base using airtable api I want a base64 version of that image instead of url. I am directly uploading an image via airtable ui not from the api Is it possible to do that in airtable? Thank You
Is there a way to export the list of billable collaborators a workspace owner can see in workspace settings? I’m looking for a way to pull a csv listing billable collaborators and the bases they have access to, similar to the workspace settings page, just in an external file. I posted this same question in October, but it was closed without being resolved. Existing Airtable Links [Shared Calendar View] are no longer updating on Google Calendar ie this is totally unrelated to the normal 24hr+ Google timelag ! Any New Links that are created, although accepted by the Google “add new calendar” option, does not contain any information ie events. I have rebooted PC, reinstalled Chrome and even created new Calendar views with new “Shared Links” and even that hasn’t helped. Any ideas ?
Not sure this is the right category, but… Is there a keyboard shortcut to check a checkbox? it’s incredibly annoying when doing data entry to have to switch to my mouse to check off a box… i’ve checked the shortcuts menu and don’t see it, searched the forum here and don’t see it, but i might not be searching on the right combination of words? any clues on this would be great… i’ve tried spacebar and enter and shift enter and a variety of other possible, intuitive solutions but none of them seem to do the trick. if it’s NOT a thing… then @airtable dev… could it please BE a thing! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:
I have a database of innovators in the US that are working to create alternative methods for medical research and testing. I would like to display this data base in a table on our website. This table should be easy to digest and should be able to include a photo of each innovator or their company. I’m currently trying to work with AirTables to make this happen. Does anyone have a tutorial that would help? Does anyone have an interest in helping a non-profit to learn how to make this happen?
I’m trying to figure out a way to set a default to a Date field. 90% of the time it will be Today, however I need to be able to manually edit (override). Am I missing something obvious? Thanks -Stan
My “List Records” calls take about 1 second each to complete (5 fields), which suggests I may be able to make new calls before even receiving the previous ones. If I make 5 API calls and haven’t received them back after 1000ms, does this mean I can make 5 more new calls while still waiting for the old ones? Or does it base it off of request completion, in which I’d either have to wait until all 5 completed, or 1 second after the first one completed? Thanks!
I synced Tabla A in base 1 with Base 2. In Base 2 I now see the synced Table A. On Base 1, I added a new field in the original table A. I tried to add this new field on the synced Table in Base 2, without success. How can I solve this?
Hello I saw somewhere that we could easily connect our airtable data to facebook / google audiences. However I don’t find any other options than zapier. Can we connect our tables to facebook / google audiences directly? If yes how?
I’m curious if anyone has any insight. I’d like to have Airtable driving a BI dashboard and haven’t found any particular ones that seamlessly integrate with Airtable. Anyone have any suggestions?
I’ve only been using airtable a few weeks but have not had this problem before on the daily task of copying data from Excel to Airtable. I haven’t deviated from the steps that have always worked. But yesterday and today, when I copy and paste into airtable, I get this message: "An error has occurred. Refresh this page." I’ve refreshed and tried again multiple times. Thanks for you help.
I am trying to create a “master calendar” for multiple teams within a department. I have shared the appropriate tables from multiple bases and created one “master” base. Now I need to create a calendar that shows all dates from all tables in the base. Is that even possible?
Hi, I’m trying to send data to google sheets using Airtable’s Scripting Block App. I have previously worked with using scripts in automations (ie Trigger → Run Script), but I have never used the scripting block by itself. We run an education service and therefore have to keep track of our students in the different school terms. Currently, the system appends a row to google sheets whenever a new row comes into the required table, which is then (unrelated) used to update a google form. The idea is that every couple of months we purge the data and add some new data. To summarise my questions: How can I edit the google sheet using the scripting block such that we can perform the operations above (Purge & Add Data)? I’ve seen that this is possible from Google Apps Script, but is it possible from the Airtable Scripting Block App? Thank you!
I created numerous databases on my Ipad. I wanted to import a CSV file, so I went to the windows version and imported the file, and created a database. When I went back into my ipad, the new database was there from my computer, but it deleted all the databases that I created on my Ipad. How do I get these back?
I think this is a view question, but maybe not. I have built a calendar type application for my business to schedule events. Each event can have multiple meeting times, and I have set up each meeting on another table that links. I’m trying to improve the workflow for creating a new event and it’s associated meetings. Is there a way to create a simple view for adding new records and error checking that I have input the minimum? The problem with the form is that I cannot also make the linked meetings all in one go, so it is seeming tedious. Any ideas for the best views (and workflows) for creating a new record with it’s (linked) children? Since the events don’t have times I cannot seem them on the calendar easily – that would be an amazing way to trigger the creation of events and all the meeting times, but that seems very tricky. Thanks!
Hello Community, I am new to Airtable and so far have only used grid/gallery functions for collecting survey submissions. I am wondering if any of you use Airtable for file storage and management? If so, what is your experience? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
