I have a very large, dynamic number of opportunities with a dynamic number of positions available in each opportunity. I want to limit the number of Form submissions to the total number of slots, depending on the opportunity. When registration opens, it’s a mad rush because the spots are first-come first-served. The number of opportunities are too large to monitor manually, and I don't want to deal with the headache of an automated email that says, "sorry, please try again." Its a potential for too many unhappy customers. The Form is currently accessed through a button in an Interface, and I'm curious about the Record > Button: Rules > Visibility feature. Thinking I could hide the button to limit the access to the form (that's half of the challenge), but every time I click on the Visibility toggle, Airtable prompts me to upgrade without an explanation of how that would help. I've reached out to Support but haven't heard back. The rabbit hole took me to Fillout,
Trying to import via CSV file Multiple Select Values. I want to import Value1, Value2, Value3 as three separate multiple select items. If I separate the values in the cell of the CSV file with commas I get one item “Value1, Value2, Value3”. is there some delimiter i need to use between seperate values? Thanks.
Looking for some help with the new Form Builder tool.I have upgraded a couple of forms for external users and all seems well expect for one thing (so far) - I am not able to manually sort a Linked Record type field. In the old form design (created in Data) we would use "Limit record selection to a view" and that view would be sorted the way the data should appear eg. by date, earliest to latest. Now we don't select a Data view but put filters on the field, as you would in Interfaces. I cannot locate a Sort function to go with the filter. Is this an oversight in the update? Or is there something I'm missing? Any one else found this to be a problem?Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am trying to create a form (must be a form to avoid licensing/orgfencing issues) that a seller will use to nominate 1-n users. I figured I would use conditional text to add the next nomination (i.e., if they fill in the first nominee -- more than one piece of information -- the option for a second would appear, and so on).Is there a way for a single form to create multiple records in my table?
Hi There! I'm currently using Airtable as a mini database for my designs without images. I'm a novice Airtable user and am using it a glorified spreadsheet, but I know it can do so much more! I would like to add all the images of my designs to Airtable, sort the images (drag and drop, if possible) into collections (without losing their associated data), and then, export them into visual templates.I'm a surface pattern designer. My templates of each collection show each pattern with some general information like title and SKU along with the title of the collection, and how to contact me.I don't mind exploring help articles, but I'm not even sure if what I want to do is possible or where I would begin. Any support or suggestions are welcome. I'm currently using a free version of Airtable and am aware that this might require an upgrade due to both storage and functionality.
Hi,I've been using the new airtable form builder. In order to identify different form users, I created a Form Source field to be pre-filled with the user type, and created a custom link. When the field Form Source is visible, there is no problem - the right data is pre-filled in the field. But when I hide the field in the form settings, the data is not populated. I remember this working great in form view previously, not sure why it is not working using form builder. Any solutions?
HelloI am trying to use Vega-lite extension for my data set in Airtable and I used existing JSON specification as a basis. Here is the JSON that I used (https://vega.github.io/vega-lite/examples/waterfall_chart.html)What would be the reason why the numbers on the bars won't show in my case? Here is how it should look like:In my case it looks like this:
I've already seen several other posts about this so I assume I am not alone. We have been using Airtable for 4+ years and we simply want to switch to Enterprise to add capacity. I've submitted the contact form at least 4 times now. I would happily throw money at the problem if only they would let me.Has anyone successfully been able to do this or is everyone seemingly ignored by Airtable?
Hello All,I am new to Airtable custom extension development and I am trying to build a custom extension for testing purpose. My qurey is that can we route from one component to another component using react router? And if yes can someone give me demo code for it using any three components,
Hello community, how would you go about exporting a table or even base's field names and IDs? In an ideal case, I would sync on intervals a sorted list of all fields and their properties, similar to how it's shown under manage fields. Thanks!
First using airtable but profecient in Python, SQL and some JavaScript/Vue3.js for house needs. I dont consider this a "complex problem", but havent been able to crack it in Airtable env. only.I have a scenario where i want to dynamically control form field visibility based on "boolean" values from another table. I am aware that form defaults to communicate with one record at a time given the table it belongs to.I have a table named "application" and another "analysis" and fieldsnames are generally the same. once "application" has a PDF file attached, analysis makes a "lookup" and a python script executes 16 rather complex regex patterns and saves the output as boolean values, could be "1 or 0", "yes or no" and "ja or nej".From the analysis output, the idea is/was to use these booleans as a condition to manage visibility and nothing else. Because, as you can see in the bool_update_flow.png attachment, the users are to upload specific images. If it is, can i utilize a JavaScript in order
Hi all, New to Airtable and trying to find a way to do the following:We have an existing base with all projects as a furniture staging company. These projects are based on addressesEach project has inventory associated with it in a separate Excel doc at the momentWe want to now add the inventory associated with each project in Airtable without having to manually add each item one by one to each projectThe excel would have the project title + associated inventory in individual rows. Is there an easy way for the import to recognize the project title (address) and then easily "assign" the inventory name and QTY to that project title?
Hey all, just trying anything at this point, I have an airtable Team account that was made forever ago, and was grandfathered into the $10/mo plan. I accidentally aded a billable user but then removed them, but the system kept trying to bill for it, and not my account is cancelled, along with the money I have already paid, and the $10/mo plan I had.I have emailed half a dozen times now over a month and no response, and my account is going to get shut down.Anyone here that can help?
I have a table with a count field that is supposed to count the number of linked records in another field that meet certain conditions. For some reason, the count field is not properly filtering the conditions and is counting ALL linked fields. I am not sure why this is happening as I have set this up properly. I have checked off "Only include linked records from X table that meet the following conditions" where "Status" has any of "X, Y." It is still counting fields where the status is not X or Y.Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix it?
Hi all, I do property inspections and wanted to create a template where I can fill out every time I do an inspection but it can create multiple records. For example, here are the main items I inspect (doors, walls, drains, landscaping, etc) And I would like to fill out a form that can create a different record for each of those items. Is that possible at all? Thanks in advance!
I cant figure out how to get the text to wrap here.
Hi there!I work for a nonprofit that sends frozen meals to families with children with cancer in British Columbia. We've leveraged Airtable to run our inventory and order management, but we've gotten some feedback that families are having a hard time with seeing the dietary restrictions for a specific item on our order form. The order form is set up so that it pulls products from a specific view that categorizes the product into a main, side, etc.Does anyone know of any way to make it so that the families could see the whole text?A workaround is that when they actually add the product it shows all of the information - if they saw something concerning and wanted to remove the product they would just have to remove it and then add another, but this is counter-intuitive and confusing to many people. You can see a video of the cut off text at the following link:https://www.loom.com/share/0e8339922c2043938cf0be2cb86e8732?sid=514be784-1b55-4290-b40a-be013a01027bThis view is on a desktop, but mo
I cannot figure out how to recreate the interactions table in the templates (for CRM) made by airtable. I'd like to make a form that references that table so each time I make a contact with a customer or contact, I can record it in that table. I could try to make a table myself, but I don't need to reinvent the wheel. How to I get that Interactions table into my Base?Attached are screenshots of the Real Estate CRM of the Interactions Table and the Form that goes with it.Thank you!
I’m looking for a better way to save and share images through Airtable. We use ShareX to capture and comment images which we typically share in Slack: hit ctl-printscreen to grab an image, paste into a conversation and hit send. We’d like to use Airtable to document more of those tasks but it’s a hassle to get images into Airtable: browse to the ShareX document folder, find the file, upload, wait… ShareX can automatically upload to Imgur and put a URL on the clipboard instead of an image. It would be super-great if Airtable could show those URL images, page previews, poster frames etc. It would also be super-great if we could just paste images into the attachment field.
Hi, new Airtable’r, I searched around but couldn’t find answer to this! I’m surveying my customers about their opinions on products we’re considering developing. I have a base that contains a table with details about all the potential products, including a field I made customer ratings. I’d like to create a from that displays every product in the table, showing its image and description, and a place to collect their rating for that product. I’d like to be able to use that form to see customer’s average ratings of them. Is this possible? Thanks!
Since personal views cannot be restricted to 1 user, I'm looking for a workaround.I'd like our users to be able to create their own personal views based on a master table.I don't want them to see anyone else's personal views (which AT currently doesn't allow).I need to set up automations based on each user's personal views (so I don't believe we can use interfaces). The solution I came up with was a master DB 1-way automatically syncing with multiple bases, but the problem there is the sync feature is unreliable. AT claims it's an "instant sync" but it is not. Many of the child bases do not get updated data for minutes or longer. I've been trying to find a solution for almost a week but haven't had any success.
A number of other services that I've worked with (Tadabase, Knack, SmartSuite to name just three) have a field type called 'Address'. This streamlines the entry of addresses (by autocompleting) and at the same time validates the address. Is it possible to do this in Airtable? There's an extension in the extension "store" called LOB but I can't get it to work. And that's it. Is there a way to use a Zapier automation for example to do the validation at least, even if it's not possible to help with autoentry? This is a huge deal for my users, who spend a lot of time entering addresses — often making mistakes that cause problems down the road.
Hi there,We are attempting to create some sort of conversion tracking tool for our leads. The fields in our data table that are relevant for this are: Account Type (Lead, Customer, Rejected), and Source. There doesn't appear to be a way we can easily create a table, like in Excel, where we can simply name columns and create formulas in each cell. Here's the table we're attempting to recreate: The issue we're running into is we can't create the majority of the columns seen in this screenshot. Any ideas to help?
Hi all, We use Airtable as our internal operating system but our customer-facing web-app is built using a Postgres DB. So, we’re trying to two-way sync our Airtable base with our Postgres DB. We’ve looked at other tools such as Retool or UI Bakery that allow for SSH tunneling but really don’t want to leave Airtable. We’ve also looked to connect Airtable to our db by way of Zapier but Zapier currently requires us to whitelable essentially all IP adddress for the Eastern US to enable the connection, which we’re not comfortable doing for obvious security reasons. Also, Zapier does not currently support SSH tunneling. We welcome any solutions or suggestions. Thanks, A.J.
Hello!I am trying to sync my airtable to a SQL Server Management Studio Database. Essentially, I want the database to update every time I make changes to the airtable. Is this possible via code? I have looked everywhere on the internet to find a 3rd party solution, but none seem to accommodate for MSSQL, and if they do, they are faulty. Has anyone solved this issue using Python code, so when the code is run, the database updates based on the airtable?
