I have a base with many tables. I’d like the interface to be buttons that if one clicks on a button a filtered list (in kanban form) will display. Can this be done within Airtable?

We have a large database with hundreds of records tracking IT equipment. I want to be able to find if person X used to have a monitor. They may have returned it and as we are tracking the equipment by serial (not the person). That monitor has now be redeployed to someone else so the current user field has changed. So if I search for person X nothing comes up. However, in one of the records, in the history, will be a record of that person’s name. But I do not know what record. How can I tell the search to dig deeper than what is currently shown? Thanks

Hi - I plan on making my table viewable by the public. I’d like to see how many unique visitors and total views on the table. Airtable Support team said this is currently not a native feature - anyone found a workaround for this? Thanks for the help!

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and looking to set up a contract tracker which also can work out income per period using formulas based on stated dates. Any advice on which template would best accommodate this? Have looked thro the templates but don’t see much financial analysis in there so I’ve set off using the ‘Business Contract Tracker’ template for now. Any advice on which might be better before I invest set up time would be much appreciated. Ad

Hi, I have created a form view for a table but when I test the form, the responses aren’t captured in the table. I’ve looked through all the documentation and I can’t see anything that gives direction on how to make it active, or if you even need to do that. What am I missing?! Thanks.

Hi there, so i have a question related to a monthly/yearly payment and how that works with collaborators. I noticed that I could pay for a Pro subscription for let’s say a month or year - and then from there, invite others to my workspace. How does this work with collaborators if i already payed for a year? If i’m already collaborating on a workspace with somebody and then i want to upgrade to Pro, then i have to pay twice the amount, but i pay before i invite someone I only pay once? That seems a bit odd. Could someone clarify this for me? My “problem” is that i do all the setup for a friend of mine. I designed his workflow and he just works with a mobile app to fill the data. But i’m not sure if i have to pay for 2 people each time? i’m not really using it anymore after i do all the setup, just maintaining a bit for some improvements. I like to stay the owner and he the editor so he can’t change important stuff.

Is there a way for me to remove myself from a base which someone has shared with me? I no longer want it to appear in my “bases shared with me” section

Hello, We are using Airtable to manage video editing tasks. We have a workspace for every video editor, and in every workspace there are multiple projects for the clients the editor has. In every project there is a column with Due Date for the video. Is it possible to create a project, that would show all submissions based on the Due Date? In this table I would like to see Tasks that are near the Due Date and tasks that are late. When video is confirmed and final files are uploaded, we remove the Due Date, so I would only see the videos that are still in progress. All help will be appreciated, Thank you!

I have created a formula referencing key dates that returns the values of “Past”, “Present”, or “Future”. I would like to filter a view showing only “Present” or “Future” records. I also want to filter out any record where the status is “Rejected” I can do (PPF means Past, Present or Future): Where PPF contains Present Or PPF contains Future This satisfies my first requirement. But I’d like to add: And Status is not Rejected But it only allows another “Or” statement, not an “AND” statement Alternately (preferably) I’d like to be able to say: Where PPF contains “Present” or “Future” Perhaps my syntax is wrong, but the filter for text fields doesn’t seem to offer boolean operations like this. My work around is to have a single-select field rather than formula where I can just choose “Past”, “Present” or “Future”. This allows me to choose the “is any of” option in the filter. But then I have to update these fields manually when the dates come and go. Suggestions?

I have employees fill in an Airtable form to submit time they work on each billable client/project. To save them time I want it to automatically fill in that day’s date. But by chance, if they enter time a day late I want them to have the option to change that date if needed. I haven’t been able to locate the answer to this quite yet, although I’m sure it may be out there. Thanks for any help to this Airtable newb!

I sure would appreciate a Dashboard system for Views, to match the Dashboards available for Blocks. If I have 4 types of Views, and each of my 50 people needs to see them, and it’s easier for my 50 people to have these as distinctive Views rather than consolidated into one… I’d really like to have a Dashboard for each View type, rather than a single list of 200 Views. While I’m at it - copying the configuration of one View to the others would be greatly enhanced if we could do it in the opposite direction - starting with the “Template” View, apply its configuration to all 50 Views of that type at once. Would increase time-savings and reduce errors.

I have my base sorted by the primary field, which is single-line text, alphabetically from A-Z. Everything is working fine, except for a single record that is stuck at the top - which begins with the letter “L.” I have tried re-inputting the cell, but to no avail. All the other L records are where they should be, save this one stubborn one. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I am trying to add the 501st field (column) to a table I use for planning work, and for more than one hour now I have been getting the message “An error has occurred: Sorry you have exceeded the usage limits for this base”. See screenshot I am on a pro plan and nowhere near my record limit. This is frustrating because it is impeding time sensitive work. Anyone have any idea how to solve this? Sometimes I succeed in adding a few columns, but when I refresh the page as instructed in the error popup, the new columns disappear.

I have 2 users under 1 account/ 1 email address. I thought it was ok because 1 user is the power user, and the other user seldom uses it (mostly checking and editing if there are mistakes). But I am billed for 2 users now. I am okay with this. However, since I’m being billed for 2 users, I’d like to specify 2 email addresses as well so there actually 2 users and can be clearly seen in the Activity. I’ve been emailing Airtable about it but no reply. Do you know how to do this? Thanks!

I’m trying to return minutes difference between a field EXP_RETURN and ACT_RETURN in a formula field RET_DIFF. Formula is: DATETIME_DIFF({ACT_RETURN},{EXP_RETURN},‘MINUTES’) The EXP_RETURN field is a formula: DATEADD({OUT AT}, RIGHT(DURATION,4),‘minutes’). This field adds a number of minutes to OUT_AT to calculate the EST_RETURN result. ACT_RETURN is an entered date and time field. OUT_AT is an entered date and time field. But my result between a calculate EXP_RETURN of 6/23/2020 8:00PM and ACT_RETURN of 6/23/2020 7:48PM should be 12 minutes, however the result is 0:04 (RET_DIFF formula field is formatted as a duration). Stumped and any help would be helpful.

I’ve created a bar graph to show my sales by fiscal year, grouped by quarter. Sorting the fiscal years into the correct order is a cinch. However, the order of the quarters isn’t as easy. I’d love for it to display the quarters in order of Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4. Instead, it’s going Q3, Q4, Q1, Q2. I’m guessing that this might perhaps be because Q3 is at the beginning of the calendar year, but who knows.

Hey Community, I am trying to figure out a way to create a field with the created time that has the possibility to still customise the values. I thought of a formula like: IF Time is not edited, then use Created Time. Thanks, Mikko

Please help! I cannot figure out why the first task is just repeating in the Next Task column (To Do Tasks table) when I run the script. It was running perfectly and then I must have changed something in the Projects table - No Tasks view(?). I don’t see where the mistake is though. I saw a post that showed an answer that delivered almost everything I wanted and I have pasted that in below. That post has been closed hence starting a new one. However please could someone advise how to adjust the formula so that the entry is only removed from the current year and moved to the following year once the day has passed (rather than on the day itself). For instance, using the formula below, a birthday on 27 June 2020 will disappear from the 2020 calendar on that day and appear on 27 June 2021. I would like to delay that until 28 June so I can still see the current event on the day itself (27 June in this case). Here is the formula from the previous post that I would like to adapt. Apologies for not crediting the person who posted this formula - I have navigated away from the page and can’t find it at the moment. I tried messing about with IS_AFTER but I am not sure if this is the right way to do it or how to insert that successfully into the formula if it is. DATETIME_P

Hello, I have a table with a list of categories. Another one with a list of people. I want to create a capacity table where I can have a percentage value for every category for each people. Ideally every other column will be linked to the categories tables. The layout will be like this: Categories table: Name | Other columns People table: People | Other columns Capacity table: People | Category 1 percentage | Category 2 percentage | Category 3 percentage | Category n percentage | Total capacity (sum) How can I make this work? I have a zap set up to fill in a checkmark but it’s not working. I have used “true” “checked” and “1” and none seem to work. My zap is working correctly and connecting but what I have set up to fill the spot isn’t checking the box.

I have one field that I would like to generate from three other ones: First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name. My current formula includes a space after each cell so that it reads Jane Doe Smith versus JaneDoeSmith. The problem I have is if the middle name field is blank (I always have the first and last name of the person), I get a double space between the first and last name. I’m certain there’s some sort of If/Then formula I should be using, and I’ve looked at online resources, but I’m having a hard time getting it to work (I get the invalid formula error message). Tried this: CONCATENATE({First Name}&IF({Middle Name}<>""," “&{Middle Name},)&IF({Last Name}<>”"," “&{Last Name},”")) Thanks!

Sorry sure there is something simple I am missing - I have a table which is essentially people rating how excited they are about different themes for a summer playscheme for disabled kiddies because I needed everyone to vote the columns are the themes and they have a rating of our 5 for every person who has filled it in - is there a way to create a chart to show which theme has the most votes? On the chart block, I can only find a way to make it from the different people and not the theme scores am I being silly?

Hi. I’m running a CRM with all my contacts, in which I have a “last contact column”. I also have a different table, for meetings summaries. The two tables are linked by the contact’s name. Is there a possibility (probably some kind of a formula), to update the last contact’s date whenever I insert a new meeting summary? Thanks a lot, Daniel
