Is there any way that I can create a block or a way to integrate data from a Forms Pro or Qualtrics survey I’ve created? I see that Airtable has its own version of that but I was wondering if there are any ways to connect to the other programs. The company I work for pays for them so we’re trying to utilize the products. Thanks!

Is it possible to use information from a linked table in a formula? I’ve got an Airtable recording books that I read. In one table I have start and end dates for a book, and the details of the Book (author, number of pages) are in a second table. For some nerdy statistics, I wouldn’t mind being able to create a formula like (End Data - Start Date)/Number of Pages in Book…where the dates are in one table, and the number of pages in another. Is this possible currently in Airtable?

Hello, I’m curious if I need to make a change to ensure the header rows print at the top of every page when using grid view. I have a multi-page document and I’m either getting the header row only on the first page, or in one case only one of the 4 column headers on the subsequent pages. Is there a setting for this please? We are looking to more a chunk of our data into SharePoint. Is there a tool out there that will make this process easier? We looked into Zapier but the only trigger out of AT is Add Record. We wanted to avoid having to export everything to CSV and having to recreate all the relationships between the tables. Thanks in advance, Danny

Hey! I was trying to download the images in from the embedded airtable base on my website and the download button doesn’t seem to be working. When I click download it takes me to another tab and then nothing happens. Can someone please help me sort this as we need to embed it on our main website asap. Thanks for the help!

When I try to use the iPhone app to take photos into an attachment field, the photo takes a while to load and oftentimes it disappears completely! This is really scary for me because I am spending hours in a location where I won’t be again to take photos. After it happened to me a few times, I started just taking photos on my phone and uploading them later on the computer. A few suggestions for Airtable Developers: When you take a photo from inside the app, make sure that the photo is saved to the phone’s camera-roll. At least then, the photo won’t be lost forever. Improve photo uploading feature on the app. Why is the upload time sooo long? Improve the rate of success of upload - it’s is terrifying when a software is unreliable! Allow users to take multiple photos (not one at a time) Thanks so much!

I’m looking to create a field that only shows linked records (or text strings from that linked table) if those records have a specific check mark. Does anyone know if there’s any way to do that? Thanks!

My team is using a base to hold client info for meeting attendees. We are all collaborators on this base. We each have our own sheets for our own projects (meetings) in the base (the first sheet is the database). We have a form in the database that we all send to potential attendees to fill out as a “registration form.” We have been using it for a couple of weeks and all has been going well, but just a few days ago, the form submission email (that we check at the bottom of the form) now goes to random team members and not the team member who sent the form. We have done several tests and have verified that we are logged in as ourselves and that the email at the bottom of the form is correct. As an example…my team member Katie sent the form to potential meeting attendees and she checked the box at the bottom of the form to receive an email when someone submits a form. Hi everyone, I am trying to import an airtable calendar into Outlook using an ics file. However, it appears that the owner of the calendar has everything coded as UTC when it should be in EST. Thus, when I import into Outlook, it tries to adjust into my local time and everything ends up in the middle of the night. I don’t have any ability to change the calendar itself, only viewing and downloading an ICS or CSV file. Is there any way I can edit the ics file itself so that outlook thinks the times are in EST? Though it may not be the place, this leads me to two other quick questions: If I import the calendar, will it automatically update if changes are made on airtable, or is it static from the moment I import it? Also, is there any way I could import only certain events after applying a filter? I can apply the filter I want on the airtable interface, but I’m wondering if I can basically apply that filter to an exported ics. Thanks so much!

I use Airtable to hold content parsed from HTML emails. The html content is in a long text field. I want a Block that I can use to render the message content from those emails. Does this exist?

Hey hi! Ok. So I have a Table with multiple Views, each with a specific criteria of hidden tables and Page Designer set up to pull from various Views. All seems totally normal. BUT… when I attempt to edit a record from within the Page Designer Block using the “Expand Record” button, Page Designer will only ever show me the same specific View. Doesn’t matter what View I select in the Block’s dropdown; whenever I am trying to edit from “Expand Record” from within the Page Designer Block it seems “stuck” on showing me the same (read: wrong) View; a View that has all the wrong hidden fields. I have reloaded the Block. I have disabled/enabled the Block. Any ideas out there? Anyone noticed similar/same ? Thanks C

Airtable is great for project management, but is extremely limited in it’s ability to crunch data. We could use Microsoft Access, but it’s not exactly intuitive and I am hoping to find a beautiful interface like Airtable, but focused on data analysis. Thank you! Paul Warren

As our business has grown over the last several months, we are finding a need to automate some redundant tasks. Is there a way that I could create a ROW in TABLE 2 when I add a ROW to TABLE 1 (When a certain field is VALID)? Furthermore, if this is possible - could I have the new linked row auto populate with fixed fields or information? I accidentally deleted my table when I was trying to delete a view. How can I recover this?

Hello, We use Airtable for confidential information. Is there a way to lock a view so that not only can our team not change the filter settings, but also not be able to duplicate the view? Also, is there a way to create a personal view, but for a group of people? Is there a way to keep people out of certain locked views? Something else that would be helpful is being able to customize the permissions of each user for each view. For example, I would like users to have editor permissions for Views A, B, and C but Read only permissions for Views D, E, and F. I know this can be solved by creating different bases, but because we can not link bases, copying and pasting records from one base to the other would allow the possibility of clients falling through the cracks.

For simplicity, let’s say I have an “Orders” table and a “Contacts” table. There’s a linked field on the Orders table with the customer’s email address. This is linked to the Contacts table, which creates a parallel linked field on the Contacts table that links back to orders. How can I create a secondary field on the Contacts table that only shows orders that meet a certain condition, but also links to these records? I can’t do it with a lookup field, because it seems that once I add a condition to that, the items that populate in that field aren’t “live,” that is, you can’t get back to the target record, it’s just text separated via commas. I’ve tried changing the linked field on the Contacts table to limit selection to a view with the proper filters, but it ignores this entirely and still shows all orders.

How can I create question with image on form?

Is there a character limit in the Formula field type beyond which the formula no longer processes? It allows me to type in arbitrarily long formulas, but I notice that sometimes after a certain point the editor no long suggests auto-fill options when typing in the formula, and when I finish writing a long one, it seems like the end parts of the formula don’t process. Then when I go back to look at the formula, the end part of it is not present in the Formula box, even though I know I typed it in there. (A separate, but related issue - the thing I am trying to accomplish with this is converting a month number from a date field to the month name. So my hyper-long formula starts IF(MonthNum=1,"January",IF(MonthNum=2,"February",IF(... etc. If you know another way I can accomplish this that wouldn’t run into character limits, that’d be great too - thanks!

I need to find a way of creating multiple views of all data from a table. Ideally I would like to create a table and duplicate the table in a way that if I edit the data on either of the tables it will auto update on the other table and I can set up different views and filters for each of the linked tables. I may want to show all tasks for one team member on one table and all tasks for part of the project on another table but be referencing the same data on each of the table veiws. The columns would be the same on each table, better still if you edit the column properties on one column it will update on the other. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Greetings to the Airtable Community! In my SVCS/Tasks table I have two special views. One filters where items are coded as “Task”, the other where items are coded as “SVC” and a status of “SVC YES.” I link to the SVCS/Tasks table in my Events table, using the views above to “Limit record selection to a view.” One column to display the SVC items, the other the Tasks. This was working well, but now I’m seeing SVC items in the Task view and vice versa. I’ve attached some screen grabs to demonstrate the issue. Any assistance/guidance would be most appreciated.
