Hello Airtable Community,I hope this message finds you well. I'm currently working on a project where I've implemented a referral code system in Airtable, and I could use some guidance on handling potential duplicates.Here's a brief overview of the situation: I generate referral codes in the format "Four letters of firstname, -D, and last 2 digits of the phone number." For instance, if I have a user named Johnathan with the phone number ending in 19, the referral code would be JOHN-D19. If i have another user named John with the phone number ending in 19, the referral code would also be JOHN-D19. Now, the challenge I'm facing is that I want to avoid assigning the same referral code to different individuals. To achieve this, I'm looking for a solution to identify and handle duplicates. Here's the logic I'm aiming for:Identify Duplicate Referral Codes:If the referral code is duplicated, proceed to the next step.

Some photos I upload into a table appear sideways both in the table view and expanded cell view, even though the photos themselves are upright in the upload window. I tried to rotate them 90% so they appear sideways in the upload screen, but then they rotate 180% to still appear sideways in the table facing the other way. Help?

I would like to build a library of follow up emails that are stored in a table that will go out to customers at different times depending on where they are in the sales process.  I would like to personalize the emails and provide some other specific information specific to their account.   I envision it as it being kind of a form letter with variables situation For exampleDear {Customer First Name}We have you scheduled for service on {Service Date} arriving between {Start Time} and {End Time}.We look forward to seeing you{Sales person name}There will be 5-10 different emails so I would like for these to be stored in a table that can be easily changed or added to and can be run through a single automation.   I would appreciate any thoughts on how this could possibly be accomplished.  I"m open to using formulas, automations, scripts..  Thanks in advance!

Hello, probably this topic was discussed here in several ways, but cant find final solution for us. We need to make payment list and as some of the payments are made every month, once click on checkbox, that was that particular row in table payed, it will automatically make copy of the row to next month. Any idea how to do this please? Thank you!

The Problem I'm HavingThe below image will probably tell it best. I have a chart that appears to have duplicate x-asis labeling. Ideally, this data would have a single value per month, but it is duplicating upto 5 times for a given month. What I've DoneI suspect this may be a UI issue because when I scale my Chrome browser to 150x, I get a single x-axis value.This solution doesnt work for me because I have multiple stakeholders who view this data, and explaining to them to fine tune their monitor until theyu get their desired row count just wouldnt work. My QuestionBesides adjusting the zoom ratio of my screen, are there any other solutions you can suggest?

Hi, is there a way to make the row height larger than the default using the mobile app? I have my row height set to x-large on Desktop so I can see the pictures that are attached to my rows; is there a way to adjust that setting on the iPhone app?

Unsure of the best approach so I would love some suggestions on this;Background & current process;We book training sessions for clients. We currently create one Airtable record for each session to set different dates for them. Each session (record) immediately receives a confirmation email (triggered through Zapier) once we change the status to 'Confirmed'. Sessions are linked to a Company.One issue with this is that clients often book multiple sessions at once, so upon confirming them in Airtable they will receive multiple confirmation emails that are almost identical (only the date/time changes). we currently use Google in order to sign on to our airtable. the company is migrating to Office 365 mail boxes. once we have finished migration to office 365, we cannot keep using the google sign in option…but, we can login regularly. question is, do we keep all the data of airtable in the new account? or is it all gone ? :frowning:

Hey guys,I am trying to pull reports of hours worked on a project to total up all hours worked that month across all projects, the individual project monthly hours, and calculate the percentage each project used from the total monthly hours. Let me break down my set up.Table: Project Tracker - contains all over all project information. Linked to Hours TrackerTable: Hours Tracker - where coordinators input the daily hourly information by the project they are working on. Projects can be worked on from anywhere from .5hrs to 8hrs and people can work on multiple projects a day. Hi,I've tried using automations to "find records" but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I have a platform where we assign people from our "Staff Directory" to different stations of an event. I want to have a linked field that adds anyone assigned to a station to a general "Staff Assigned" field that I can pull e-mails from (already have that part setup). How can I have "Staff Assigned" update as each field is updated? Is there another or better way to do this?  

I have a formula that pulls text from another field. That field is a link to another table. Airtable is creating quotation marks around the text if the text contains any punctuation marks. Is there a way of stopping this??

Hi all - I have a table in grid view that I’m trying to group and then sort alphabetically. The table is: Grouped by StateOrProvince from First-Last Sorted by StateOrProvince from first-last No matter how I group, sort, etc. I can not get the table to group/sort alphabetically by State. Does anyone know what the character limit is for the length of URLs of photo images exported in CSV files? Is there a way to limit the URL size/length?   

first off: recurring issue: where can i report bugs?the record history seems to give wrong information when the change in the record was an addition of a linked record. the record history should say "[USER] created this ['record' or custom name for record as per table settings]" but it does not respect the table settings of the related table and does not use the custom name of the record of the linked table.i.e. i have two linked tables, one called "products" and one "sales". the tables are set up so that records in the "products" table are called 'product' and in the sales table are called 'sale' (for example in the footer of the table when summing up etc).when i create a record in the sales table say 'sale #5239234' related to say the record 'GREEN APPLE' on the product table, the record history of that 'GREEN APPLE' records should say "[User] created this sale" and display the change in the link-field. instead it says "[User] created this product", but i crea

Hi all, I’m currently trying to set-up a pie chart via Airtable’s ‘Blocks’ function. Is there any way to choose my own colour for each of the segments? The default colour scheme that my pie chart is using is completely contradictory from the labels of each of my segments - and I can’t find a way to change it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. I am in Real Estate and have created at table for all my transactions.  Some date fields are calculated based on a formula.  For example, a Loan Application is due x# of days after contract date - it can vary based on the contract.  I am creating a template that lists tasks based off that calculated date.  I create the template and choose a relative date but the calculated date is not listed, only dates that are manually entered (vs. calculated) are showing.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?  

Hello! I'm trying to create an email automation to go out to my team on a weekly basis that would display our top three social media posts by engagements within a certain timeframe. I've figured out how to set up the email and created a view filtering for that timeframe and sorting by engagements. I've seen there's not really a way to limit a view to a certain number of records automatically, but I wondered if anyone had any workarounds or ideas for setting up this email to go out without the entire list having to go out each time and without me having to go in and manually change something in order for the email to go out? Tall order, but appreciate any help.

Hi, I'm currently on a free plan with five editors. We are considering upgrading to the Premium Team plan. But wnat to clarify if $20 a month means we can retain our five editors from the freemium plan. 

Hey guys,I am trying to find a way to relink Personnel records on a base with synced tabled from 2 different bases in order to limit interface views off Airtable accountsBase Personnel - All Personnel info including airtable account using the User Field typeBase Project Tracker - Overall project information including Personnel like producers linked to record on a synced table from the Personnel base. Airtable accounts are a lookup field.Base Asset Tracker - Synced to Project Tracker to assign assets, pulls over information like producers. Also synced to Personnel base to assign assets to people. The synced Project table on the asset tracker currently pulls over the producer information but obviously as a single test field with the producers in a string out. Obviously I can't change the field type to relink to the Personnel synced tab

Hello all My script below, looks through records in a table to find any records that have a field value that matches the record that kicked-off the script (automation) when a button was clicked. The field used for the condition is a Single Line Text field (Tracker Cycle ID). The actual value being compared is passed into the script via input.config (matchCycleID).  I do not get an error but the script does not work as intended and the script editor tells me "This condition will always return 'false' since the types 'string' and '{ readonly matchCycleID: string; }' have no overlap.(2367)".  I would assume the value of the field being passed into the script via input.config is a different type of 'string' than the value in the record being compared (record.getCellValueAsString('Tracker Cycle ID')). &nbsp

Hello AllI send automated SMS to a list of contacts that is present into another table with the lookup function.My problem is the phone numbers are displayed with a coma as a separator (see picture below) and my sms provider does not recognise it. I would need to have  semicolons instead of commas Can you please help me with the syntax in case I would have some formula / rollup ?thank you 

Hello,I, like many here in the AirTable forums, have dealt with seemingly "random" file deletions. One of the issues with this bug is that it is often sporadic. However, I have recently refactored one of my cloud processes that processes data from a record, generates a data file (application/json type) and puts it back into the record. I have a consistent set of records that I can run this process on, and I can literally watch my process write in all of the files, and then anywhere from 1-20 seconds later I see the files deleted  realtime! I know that my code is doing nothing to actually delete the files, and you can even tell from the record history that something is awry because the original file write is by our "Software" user and it specifies the Users token, and then the deletion is also done by the "Software" user but no token is specified (see attached screenshot). I feel confident that I have no old API key based processes that would be doing this action. 

Hello community!I have a problem, which I've been unable to resolve myself.I have two different tables, of which one table contains different entrees (table 1), which get combined in the other table in groups (table 2).Now, in the first table (table 1) with different entrees all entrees have a name connected to it.But in the other table (table 2) that groups these entrees the name should also be shown (rollup from table 1).Now the problem is that the groups of tables exists mainly from entrees with the same name. And if I show the name through rollup, I see the name many times, not just one time. I would like to only show the name once if the entrees all contain the same name.Hope my explanation is clear.Does anyone know how to do this?
