Hey Everyone!One of our tables has maxed out on automations, so we've been using synced tables in another base to outsource some work to; we are routing client emails from there and have recently started noticing that when a user has not opened up that synced base for awhile and kept it active things are happening with a multiple hour delay.An old thread where another user had this issue had the following information from customer support:When the base is inactive the base will not sync. The base will sync as soon as a user access the base. One workaround to keep the base active without a user active in the base is to create an automation set to trigger at a scheduled time (when users are not active on the base). I would like to know, if I am paying for team program in different account, does it applies also for the fact that if I changed the functions of airtable base for example one year ago, and need to put the airtable in original state which was one year ago, can airtable support make that copy of the base that was changed one year ago ?

I have an Airtable form link but I'm not sure what base it's attached to. Is there a way to find the attached base without going through every single base and table in my workspace?

I have a Customers form and I want them to be able to add their pets. When I click +Add under Pets, I just get a list of currently entered pets. How can I actually add one? Thank you. 

On April 4 my entire base disappeared.  We had been using this to track our inventory for the entire business since October of 2021.  I immediately contacted support and have still not heard back.  It has been 3 weeks.  This data was extremely critical for our business because it tracked all of our inventory.  I am hoping that the support team will be able to recover the data.  This happened to occur at the same time that Airtable released changes to their user interface, so I am not sure if that is related.  Please help!  Hopefully Airtable can access a "snapshot"  but I am not able to see them because they are accessed within the base, which is gone.

Hi, I’m trying to find a way of calculating the difference between two values within the same field but in different records within the same table as per the image below. I have read many similar questions and answers but they always appear to be over complicated, although most have been from a few years ago. I am hoping therefore, Airtable might have introduce a simple way of carrying out this calculation and hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction.Just to clarify what I’m trying to achieve, I am tracking the weight (plus lots of other info) of our new puppy and want the ‘difference’ field to calculate the difference between his current weight versus his previous weight.

The timelines in airtable are not overly functional for what I need. I need to view up to 50 timelines on the same screen, each with multiple records. As you can see, I am only able to view a few things at once.Partially there is a base design issue here, but for other reasons I don't really want to redesign the whole base to make viewing easier.So the UI doesn't quite work for me here. I need something that can condense the vertical height these take. E.g. thinner lines, or being able to overlap them, or being able to "summarise" the total time frames on the sub-grouping.Does anyone have any suggestions for a better app that plays with airtable?  

Is there any way to give base user permissions to access only selected tables in a base, not the the whole base?

I would like to set a checkbox to checked based on if another field has a number in it. Here is the Function I have in a Field called CheckChain. IF({Chain Amount} = BLANK(), Chain = 0,Chain = 1) The field Chain is a checkbox, and the field Chain Amount is how many times tire chains are applied. I am using this as a check to be sure the Chain checkbox is checked, if someone forgot to check it and entered an amount.

I'm looking to create a form with fields for a project lead like name, title, affiliation, and email. What's the best way to allow for multiple project leads? Ideally, a user could click a checkbox to 'Add Additional Project Lead'. There's no limit on the number of leads. Any advice on using repeating fields for this? Basically, trying to determine if I can somehow not have to replicate each field an ungodly amount of times with a checkbox between each conditionally showing the next bunch of project lead fields conditionally based on the particular checkbox (nightmare).

I am trying to build an order system with several tabs: Orders at vendor (I buy from 1 vendor) Orders from customers Customers Products An order from a customer has several products and might have more than 1 from each item. And that is where I get stuck. How can I add more than 1 of an item when there are multiple items? If it was just 1 item more times the colums would be product & amount, but that wont work. I feel like I am missing something obvious…

I have a string of text that I want to break into two separate strings of text. Here’s an example: This is an example string of text / I want to break it into two separate strings of text I want all of the words that precede the “/” to be one string of text. And then I want all of the words that come after the “/” to be a separate string of text. I want to completely eliminate the “/”. I have emailed and used the contact support feature and have not gotten a response. I need to have tax removed from an invoice before my institution can pay the balance. Has anyone else dealt with this? Why is there not a phone number where we can reach a support person?

As some of you may know, I’ve spent the past year, at least, battling a debilitating physical condition. For the last few months, this expressed itself as near-disabling reflected pain in my arms and shoulders that made working at a keyboard – or focusing on any task more complicated than rereading genre fiction – virtually impossible. Although the condition was finally diagnosed mid-November, complications (a two-month pause to reschedule surgery with an in-network physician amenable to my insurance provider; the scorched-earth arrival of Covid-19) pushed my surgery back to April 10. Is it possible to hide or display certain fields in a table based on the value of another field? Basically, conditionally. For example, let’s say a table has the following: Field A Field B Field C And I want the following display options Field A: Always visible Field B: Visible only when field A is marked “Present” Field C: Visible when field C is marked “Absent” How would one do this?

In airtable, I've programmed a calendar with dates and times for specific events. How can I fix this?

Hi everyone,My team and I are trying to create URL previews for AirTable share links. The URL preview extension works for other URL types, such as Google Sheets, but we are seeing "No preview" when we select a cell with AirTable share link. It's the same issue whether the share link is for a base or for a table view.While looking through online documentation, I saw that the format of the link that's generated for us is different from the format I see in the documentation. Ours is in the format "https://airtable.com/app[random-string]/shr[random-string]/tbl[random-string]" or "https://airtable.com/app[random-string]/shr[random-string]",  while the online documentation shows the format "https://airtable.com/shr[random-string]".I'm not sure if that is the cause of the URL preview failing, but was wondering if anyone else encountered

Hi all, any help appreciated.I'm creating a Matrix and trying to use the bulletpoint "Unordered List" and check box style "Task List" options when creating the content. I am copy/pasting the syntax directly from the Markdown cheat sheet and it is working for *most* cases, but randomly not for others and I have no idea why. I've tried deleting and re-entering, typing out rather than pasting, deleting the record and starting over... There seems to be no reasoning - that I can see - for the random times it goes wonky. I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm going to try my luck. I have a table with a lot of columns, and lots of records.  Sometimes, I need to find a particular set of records.  Considering I have say 100 columns,  I then need to locate the column. I use the "Find" feature to search for the column name, which locates it.  However, if I then have to move around the dataset to locate certain rows, I might need to move horizontally within the view, to locate certain information. This makes me end up losing the horizontal position of where that column is. Considering that there is no concept of a column index, I cannot say "Column Name" is Column Index 50 in this view, and then I can easily scroll to it.  I need to remember the scrollbar position, which is very vague.I'd appreciate if you have any advice on this matter. When I check off some of the tasks in my task list I get "An error has occurred" and I get logged out. This is happening for other users too. I did a hard refresh, cleared cache, tried from an incognito window.... Nothing. It happens in the interface and in the data view too. I think maybe ones linked to automations, altho the automations seem okay. I also tried cloning the base in case it was just corrupted. Same thing.

Is there a way to convert an existing Project to a Task? We are cleaning up/re-organizing our system. There are 4-5 existing active Projects (with notes, dates, details) all for the same client... these should really be Tasks under a single Project. I just can't recreate these as Tasks under a new Project - too many notes and details. Is there a way to move those 4-5 Projects under a new Project, making them tasks? keeping all the existing information?Example: Cat Photos, Cat Bio, Cat News Release, Cat Petting Event have all been entered into our system as Projects. I would like them to be Tasks under a single Project named Cat.Help!

Is there a way to filter a table that has been grouped and totaled (sum) by the group's total? 

Hi,I'm a relatively new Airtable admin. We have a user who can log in using SSO, but when he does he gets an error message saying that his free trial period is almost over. Since we have an enterprise account, I would think he shouldn't see that message.His account looks ok to me in the airtable admin area:(I covered over his real email address for privacy, but it looks like the rest of our users - uniqueid@dartmouth.edu.) I've tried signing him out of all sessions from the button shown, and had him log in with a different browser and a private window. None of those things helped.I opened a ticket with Airtable support, but I thought it was worth posting here as well. Any thoughts on how to fix this?Thanks and have a good day,Joe MontibelloMana
