Hi everyone, I desperately tried for 3 days to solve this problem, could you help me ? I have 2 forms I ask my clients to fill. each form fills a separated table in the same base. Form 1 and Form 2. to do the folllow up I would like to create a “follow up table” to see which companies filled form 1 and form 2, and to be able to send reminders to the companies that just filled form 1. I tried with automations ( find records based on the company name) but it did not work. I would like to have a " follow up table" with the name of all the companies that filled either form 1 and form 2, and being able to see in the fields Form 1 and Form 2, if they filled both. ( the ones that just filled 1 form would receive an automated email if I manage to create the automation :slightly_smiling_face: )Could you help me ? thanks a lot !

Hi guys, Recently, I ran into some weird cases while trying to copy-paste a formula field cell values. When I’m pasting the content, I’m getting the string with quotation marks at the beginning and the ending of the text, while in the field itself I’m not seeing them. Example: You can see there are no quotation marks in the cell itself, but when trying to paste the cell value, I’m getting: “Text text text” Any idea on how to avoid these quotation marks?

I hope this is the right place to ask this. I’m hoping to figure out an easier way to handle a data type in my base. Basically, a lot of the data we use has cities in our area for different purposes (Address for the student, parent address, school address, things like that). So basically we have 5 different fields that are basically of a “City” type. To import into our system, the city names have to exactly match what is in there, or they won’t import. To accommodate this, I made the city list a dropdown selection. We have a ton of cities we serve, and it seems every year we get new ones. Unfortunately, that involves updating the attributes for not only 5 fields, but due to confidential data regulations, those same 5 fields across multiple bases. Is there some way to sync the dropdown selections for those city fields to a master list somewhere? This way, if a new city pops up, we can push it out to all of the bases for our customers, or if we find out someone put in a city name and spe

I’m trying to have a central calendar of sorts fed from a few different sources, and while I’ve used sync to great effect to make that calendar, my one hangup is in entering new events/dates into that calendar. To illustrate, let’s say I have an “Events” calendar and a few other misc calendars. For example a “Holiday” calendar. They are all synced into a “Master” calendar. What I would ultimately like to be able to do is add a new event while referencing the “Master” view. Say, for example, I am looking to schedule an event but want to make sure it isn’t going to fall on a holiday. I’d ideally like to be able to schedule right on the “Master” calendar. But it seems like that isn’t possible, and instead what I would have to do is go back to the “Events” calendar and add the event after referencing the “Master” calendar. Am I missing anything?

I would like to make it so members filling in a form can select their name or their organization’s name from a list in the database using “+add”. But I only want them to see an alphabetical list of member names and not information in any of the other columns. So I created a “member name only alphabetical” view in the database. Then on the form, I selected ‘limit record selection to a view’ and chose “member name only alphabetical”. But all the hidden fields are still showing up. I only wanted the alphabetical names to show. What am I doing wrong?

I’m guessing if it was possible it would have something to do with using typescript but I have not been able to figure it out. I did download node and tried to install the airtable npm but kept getting a “connect EBADF” error. Not sure if any of this is actually gets me closer to my desired goal but this was just me attempting things.

Is there a way to trigger an automation when a record is removed from a view? I know there is one from when a record enter a view, but I need the opposite and my random tests have not been working!

Hi, I have a time and date stamp being created in a field (Last Modified Time) for a field that we use to say when an Estimate can be made - sort of a “Clock starts ticking Now!” timestamp. The original field that the Last Modified is watching is filled by a Zapier workflow. I then have a second field that gets time and date stamped (Last Modified Time) with when we check a box for when a user says the Estimate is done. Lets say the 1st field has a date and time stamp of 8/1/21 2:30 pm, and the second field has a time stamp of 8/2/21 3:34 pm. How do I calculate the difference between the two? The goal is 48 hrs, so if the total came out as hours I would be fine with that. I currently have tried the following formulas but it seems to be related more to the fomatting allowed by AT but that is just a guess. Hey all, I’m struggling to create a view… For context… the table in the screenshot below is an integration that copies every email from my gmail account into AT. I’ve grouped this particular view by “subject line” for the purpose of “batching together” subject lines that have been sent twice or more. My Q is - how do I create a filter that ONLY shows the groups that have 2 or more of the same within them? In other words, how can I create a filter that shows only the emails (subject lines) that have been sent two times or more? Thanks! Christopher

I have been messing around with formulas for two days, trying to figure out how to put a checkmark in the column if the post date is today or after. So, for my social media posts (which I don’t have automated from Airtable, I post them using another platform), once the time has come and gone that the post should have gone live, I want the formula column for that record to have a check box. Hi! I am trying to set up a field to automatic track the day of a meeting. This meeting is the last Thursday of each month. I found a formula to automatically populate the last day of each month but I can’t find/figure out a solution to change that date to the last Thursday. I created a formula field to merge three date fields into one. No record has more than one date, so I wanted them all to be in one place. However, when I used concatenate, the dates are very long, so I’m trying to use DateTime_Format for all three, but I keep getting Errors. I’m not a programmer, I’m trying to update a record based on the conditions selected. I’m battling to understand the ‘await’ function. I believe it’s a promise and that it splits the code until the conditions are fulfilled? I kept getting an error if I put the await inside the if conditions. Hi all, I am trying to combine text from two fields using Concatenate (and that’s simple enough) but when I try to add a Substitute formula to shorten one field’s text, it doesn’t work. I’m trying to import a large spreadsheet to a new table. The spreadsheet has about 8.5k rows and about 30+ columns. I’ve tried to import it via both the Google Sheets and Excel importer and in both occasions (on several attempts) it shows the correct data/sheet to import but on clicking ‘Import’, it just hangs on ‘Importing your data…’ with a spinning circle (and a greyed out background). I’ve even left it for 24hrs and it’s still on the same page. I’ve cancelled and started again several times and the same thing keeps happening and there’s never any evidence of even a partial import (it never even creates the new table). Can someone please advise only I’m not a enterprise client (I’m a Pro Client) so they’ve advised I contact the forum. Is it possible to access a base outside of a base in which an app is installed? That is, if my application is integrated in one base, can it use something similar to the useBase hook on outside bases to which I have access?

I’d like to have a zap that takes a new lead of ours and creates/updates them in a base we have for leads. Within this base, we have a multiple select column that indicates the source of the lead. As leads can enter our world in many ways, we are looking to capture all the ways they’ve interacted with us prior to arranging a sales call, or becoming a client. I have no issues creating a zap to do this, EXCEPT when it comes to the source field which is the multiple select. Is there a way to ADD to the list instead of having the field wiped of what is already there and only showing the source provided by the zap that just completed?

I have created a form under one tab, when I add another tab could I duplicate the form I created before under the first tab?
