I wanted to make a Siri Shortcut that lets me upload a screenshot to Airtable. In my Airtable I have these fields: Screenshot ID (autonumber) Screenshot attachment Descriptive text I got pretty far but either the webhook doesn’t allow images or I’m doing something wrong. I set up the shortcut to make the webhook request using the “Get contents of URL” command in shortcuts. Under “Request body” I selected “Form” and then told the shortcut to send the screenshot and some text to describe it. That seems to be the only way shortcuts allows files to be sent out, the other options are text only. When I test the integration in airtable, it works as long as I’m not trying to send an image. It fails when I test it because the test is sending text into an attachments field. When I run the shortcut with the image included, the api request fails & it says: Multipart upload was specified but is not supported When I run the shortcut as text only, it works and the descriptive text is insert

Dear ones, I need help. I’m using a filter on another system that searches the result based on a certain date. If I inform the filter as follows. Date = “2021-06-25”, The expectation is that I would return all the rows that appear on this date, however filtering this way I have no return. If I use the Date filter >=“2021-06-25”. it works, but it brings me back not only the lines corresponding to that date but all the other dates ahead.

Hi folks I have two tables: One is called “Products” the other is called “Product Components”. As you can imagine there is a (1:N) link between them, so a Product can have multiple Components. Hi all. I have a base with 12 tables. I would like to create a table which will list links to all the other tables in the base, to ease navigation. I can get the View link but that opens up in a browser. Is there a way to create a link to a table that then goes to the referenced table within the desktop app? Thanks in advance. Shaun

so i was recently messing around with how to link records together and i accidentally clicked on Do Not Show again box. i use to be able to select the records i wanted by category. is there a way that i can restore the do not show again pop up?

I’m trying to send an reminder to email a record to a Slack channel when a Reminder Date is 14 days prior to current date. I’d like the Slack message to automatically populate the record’s name and email but I can’t see to get this to work.

I’m still pretty new to Airtable, and I’ve searched for this info to no avail. I’m trying to understand the core reason(s) for using multiple workspaces. In our business, we have multiple clients with very different setups and data. I need to be sure those streams don’t cross. If we can share the bases within the workspace without granting access to everything, is there a reason why I couldn’t use one workspace and build out a base for each client?

Hey, can anyone tell me if features available to upgraded users (Plus, Pro, etc.) will be visible to non-upgraded users in a certain workspace? For example, If a certain base contains Gantt charts, a pro feature, will a “free” user who the base is shared with be able to see or interact with the gantt chart? I am looking at to build a system which will allow me to keep track of the walkthrough I do with my teachers as a school principal. I have one tab with all the teachers, one tab with all the standards we are looking at. My goal is when I start a walkthrough would be to: Select the teacher Upload medias Add notes in 3 boxes: description fo the observation, area of strengths, suggestions Rate the selected standards (probably 5 maximum for one walkthrough), and add a note next to the rating What would be the best way to design this ? My issue is on the standard as for ONE ENTRY (one walkthrough for one teacher), I can see how to deal with the medias and the three notes, however I don’t see how I can select the standards I want to rate and rate them. If you have done think kind of design or you know a template that could inspire me, I would love to see it.

I am trying to figure out how to translate the in-airtable-ui filters into a filterByFormula method in the request via fetch. I can’t seem to find any docs and some related questions kind of seem like people are figuring these out somehow so I feel like I’m missing something. For my exact example, I’m trying to replicate "where fieldName contains string" in the Airtable UI. I’ve seen some conflicting opinions between using FIND and SEARCH, but neither have worked for me yet. I’m hoping to find something that outlines those available options, similar to how there examples for CURL (and an unofficial CodePen for generating them)

I’m building a research project library and I’d like to create a multiselect “see also” column at the end of each record where we could select any of the other records (projects) in the base for people to reference. Whenever a new project is added to the library I’d love for that project title (from the title column) to appear as an option in this multiselect list. I’ve seen how to link records from another table, but wondering if something like this is possible within the same table. Thanks!

Hello! Airtable noob here, we are just integrating the software into our company’s workflow. Is there a way to track or view all the times someone has been tagged as a collaborator, across all tables in a base? We currently have one table for projects and a linked table for tasks. I would like to be able to create a view where I can see all the projects AND tasks that I’ve been tagged in. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hello I would like to create a field where when data is imported into AirTable, that it would input the current month as written into a specific cell. like “7/1/2021”, for any entries entered in that month, I want this one cell to enter 7/1/2021, and not update any previously entered rows.

Hi, I currently have my IT-inventory in Airtable. I would like to upgrade this with a kind of lending/borrow system. Where the employee’s can scan a QR code and take the (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc…) device and I know who took it. And when they afterwards return the device and scan again, it shows in Airtable that it’s returned. Is this possible in Airtable or is there something that already exists?

I’m working on a base that makes some currency calculations and I’ve noticed that when you have an amount that ends in a 0, e.g. £10.50, the zero at the end won’t show up in markdown that I’m using in automations. It will show as £10.5 instead. For any other amount that doesn’t end in a zero, you will get the two decimal places. The same happens whether it’s a formula field, a number field or a currency field. I could probably correct this with something like IF(RIGHT, 2=".", {Number} & “0”), i.e. add a zero when the second from right character is a decimal point, but that seems like an ugly way of doing things. Any advice?

I see a form view to collect data from users. I see a few form-oriented addons, but they are for printing forms. Is there a way to create a form-oriented view of a table where users can update the table and add rows?

Hi all! I’m developing a script that triggers when a new row is added to a table (it makes HTTP call to retrieve more data, and add to the missing columns). I’m currently using “When record is created” as a trigger, and it works well in cases where the entire row is added to the table at the same time through other automations, or copy-paste. My problem is with written inputs. So if a user writes the data manually, the script triggers too soon, before all the columns are filled in, thus with only partial inputs to my HTTP call. What’s the best way to overcome this? Intuitive I thought the trigger would work so that when a user is adding the row, it fires only when the focus goes away from the added row.
