Hi, Wondered if anyone could help with this…I have the following fieldsTitle, Sub Title, Series Title and Series OrderThen I have a full title field where I want to bring those together depending on which of those is filled in. So, if there’s a Sub Title, I want the Full title to show {Title}: {Sub Title}. If there is a series title then I want it to show {Title}: {Series Title} {Series Order} (as an aside, if I could get the series order in brackets that would be amazing, but I suspect impossible because brackets are part of the formula). And if neither Sub Title nor Series Title have an entry then I just want the {Title}. I don’t think there’ll ever be a case where we have a series title and a sub title so I’m not worried about that for now. At the moment I have:IF(  {Series Title}, {Title} & ": " & {Series Title} & " " & {Series Order},     IF(      {Sub Title}, {Title} & ": " & {Sub Title},      IF({Series Title} = BLANK(), AND({Sub Title} = BLANK(), {Title}

Hello all,I was looking in the forum, I didn’t find anything really matching this query, so here I am.Idea: have a single dropdown menu to choose an option and once it is selected the user clicks on a button to display a form (form associated to the option selected on the drop down menu).Notes: initially, no intention to use anything outside portals interface, I know there are tools out there, really good ones, with a lot of interesting features, but right now I want to know if I am hitting a portals UI limit or if there is a solution or kind of solution available within the AT platform.I am just asking if someone got hit by the same idea/issue and found a solution. Hey. Thank you in advance or your help on connecting data between two tables. Linked records does not seem to apply here, but maybe I’m missing something. I am using Airtable to track disciplinary data for a school. We have two tables, one to track Pink Slips, and a second to track historical Disciplinary Cases. The first table “Pink Slips”, is where new pink slips are entered, using a primary field of a sequential ID assigned by Airtable for each new pink slip. One of the fields in this table is “Student ID”. The second table, “Cases” contains a historical record of all disciplinary cases (some resulting from pink slips), akin to a court case, with all data related to the resulting actions, dates, etc… The primary field in this table is “CaseID”. All of the data in the “Cases” table is imported from a school database, and also contains a “StudentID” field. For reasons that i would rather not get into, the two tables cannot be merged into one. I have an editable linked field in a record detail. How can I set the display order when selecting the record to link to?

Hello all.I’m looking to have a column (field) of field agents run/process once a week on a Monday morning. FYI these agents a prompted to go out to the internet and retrieve x information. There are no automation options specifically to do this - am I missing something or how else can this be achieved?Currently I’m thinking about having an automation that changes a field in each record (say make it today’s date), and that is something the field agent is monitoring to kick it off and run. Feels a bit hacky, but if anyone has better ideas please let me know. 

Someone on my team ran into an issue on a form where their selection on a rating field is not being retained visually on dark mode. See example of dark vs light: Thankfully the value is still being retained by the form on the backend, so this isn’t a game breaking bug, but it is definitely an annoyance for the people on my team. While this is probably a known issue, I figured I’d report just in case. Hopefully this is a simple fix. Thanks!Josh

I could really use some help!I want my formula to return the correct Ship Deadline taking into consideration the time the order was submitted. If it came in before 4:00 pm on a weekday, it needs to ship the next day. If it came in after 4:00 pm on a weekday, it needs to ship in 2 weekdays.This screenshot shows that order 5014021 came in at 5:15 pm correctly shows it needs to ship 2 weekdays later. But for some reason, order 5014020 that came in at 7:15 pm on the same date is showing it needs to ship in 3 days instead.I can’t for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong. Formulas are not my strong suit so I use AI to help write them. Any advice here would be very much appreciated. I’m working on building a custom interface page that allows me to choose certain records to send out emails for. I started with a blank interface page and have built what I need to see data wise on the page, but I’m running into the issue of setting up a button to run my automation. I choose “Trigger an automation” when placing the button… but then it tells me that the source is unconfigured. I’m not able to choose my automation until the source is resolved. When I go to choose a source, I’m given no options.So I thought I might need to turn on my automation first. I went in to try to turn it on, but since my trigger is a button being pressed and it’s not connected to a button yet, it won’t let me turn it on. So I’m running into a roadblock on both ends.Does anyone know how I can configure this properly? 

Hi all. I have an automation that creates a doc in Google Docs as one of its steps. It’s triggered by a button press in an interface. We run it 20-30 times a day. 90% of the time, no problem. However, 5-10% of the time it randomly fails to create the doc with a very nonspecific error: When we re-run it with the same data and so on, it runs successfully.The workaround is simply pressing the button again, which is fine, but I’d still like to know what is going wrong. Is there any way to see more information on this error? Or, has anyone else encountered a similar issue?-Natalka

I sometimes wonder why I still pay airtable money. For an application that claims to be good for time planning it’s mad it still doesn’t seem to be able to do time and date maths properly. I am in UK (so GMT/BST) - I want to have a date field and a separate time field, and to be able to combine these two into a calculated dateTimenothing I have tried seems to work reliably for this without jumping the date back to UTC Has anyone found a solution for what should be a trivial task?Thanks Richard

hi all, i am sure this should be easy and i cannot get it to work i have a products table {product id} and {product name}a menu table which pulls the product name using the product idand an orders table which lookups the product name from the menu i am then trying to concatenate in orders the product_name and qty into one string {products}&" ("&qty&")"{products} here is a lookup field i’m expecting Bread(1)but instead get 2(1) 2 is the product id i’ve tried formula, arrays and rollup function thank you

I have an automation that runs from a button on a blank interface. I’m trying to fill in the qualifying Billing Sheet [Link] field with the value from the current Billing Sheet on the blank interface. The automation runs correctly, finding the matching records in the Invoice Task-Hours table. But it won’t link them automatically. I tried linking to the RecordId and to the Billing Sheet Title field. No dice. Note: the Billing Sheet Title field is a formula, if that matters?  

I’m invoicing time records by project, by month. Each time record has a “Time Task” which comes from a linked lookup table. There’s some 42 time tasks and more may be added in the future. When creating a monthly invoice I want to summarize the hours for each task utilized by that monthly collection of time records for each project invoiced.e.g.5/1/2026 2.0 hours Preparation5/19/2026 1.3 hours Preparation5/21/2026 1.0 hours Preparation*Total Preparation 4.3 hours 5/8/2026 1.5 hours Development5/8/2026 5.8 hours Development*Total Development 7.3 hours I only want to show the * totals, not the actual individual time records.Ideally these totals would simply go into a separate table linked to the invoice.I really don’t want to use a third party tool like Make or Zapier. How can I go about doing that?

Airtable Community, I am looking for AI use cases for Project Management. We at Kalypso use Airtable primarily for Project Delivery. We manage health reports, Stakeholders, Assumptions, Schedule, RAID, Scope, Deliverables, Meetings, Etc. Most of the AI use cases I have seen demonstrated are more Marketing focused. I am looking at the AI Plays for “Operations” and some of those are helpful. I am hopeful others in this community have found or innovated for Project Management, or “Operations” use cases, to benefit from AI and are open to share. Regards,Jason Knighten

Will the dataset still be available to other workspaces (all under the same account), or is a dataset limited to just the one workspace it is created in?

I had a database from another location that had an existing {Item#} field. I want to keep and continue from the last existing Item# with autonumbering. The problem is that when I change the Item# field to autonumber, it renumbers from 1. Is there anyway to change the field to autonumber and then revert the original numbers?

Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to use Webhooks for a while to create a simple link that will allow my University’s Data Team to click a link to let us know that a query has been created. The Data Team will not use Slack either, so I’m basically trying to do an Actionable Message, but automating sending an ‘actionable’ link through our Microsoft Teams Channel.I have the Webhook examples below.The formula automatically generates the RecordID into the Webhook so that when it is sent, the RecordID appears in the Params. However, I can’t get that information to go into the Body, so I am not able to use the RecordID in my “Update Record” automation. (AirTable recommends using ReqBin for webhooks/testing, so that’s what I’m in) With University Guidelines and permission issues, I am only able to do this through AirTable and not any 3rd party tools. Do you have any suggestions on how I can do this? Thank you!

I have a multi-select form field.If they click Paid Social, I only want to show the questions related to paid social.If they click on Organic Social, Employee Advocacy, or Executive Advocacy, they get other set of questions.Additionally, can I hide all the questions until the preferred channel is chosen?

I am trying to create a task management database for a small farming operation. Each year, many tasks will follow the same pattern of dependencies, duration, and time between. I currently have 4 tables: Plants: As I add plants to the list, I can generate tasks for the Task table with an automation that pulls tasks from the Templates - Task List table. Templates:  Lists the different available task templates.  Templates - Task List: Lists the different tasks associated with each Template. Also links dependent Predecessor and Successor tasks. Tasks: The final output table, where tasks from the Templates - Task List table are added when the automation from the Plants table is triggered. At the beginning of the program, the student fills out a form with 15 questions (competencies) of the type (Never, rarely, sometimes, always), and at the end of the program, they fill out another form with the same questions. The goal is to validate, by student, whether there has been progress in competencies or the evolution of competencies among the various students.I already have the table with the students' data; how should I create the tables for this project? Maybe you have a solution for me. I have some interfaces set to grid view because I import data from Excel using copy and paste. However, I've noticed that the page is very sluggish in grid view. When I switch the page to list view, it runs smoothly.Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello,The question is fairly simple.I have an Interface page with a button that updates a field called “X” (basically an on/off checkbox). However, I would also like to record which user triggered the button and when it was triggered.Updating the checkbox itself is immediate using a button with the “Update record” action.My questions are: Is there any way to also capture the portal user’s email, ID, or any other unique identifier into another field (let’s call it “Action X triggered by user”) using the same “Update record” button action, or would I need to trigger an automation and run a script? Same question for storing the timestamp when the button is clicked. Notes: I tried using a single line text field for the user, but the value is not dynamic and must be predefined in the Interface button settings.
