Hello Airtable experts,I've noticed the following issue and would, of course, like to resolve it. Maybe you have a solution for me. I have some interfaces set to grid view because I import data from Excel using copy and paste. However, I've noticed that the page is very sluggish in grid view. When I switch the page to list view, it runs smoothly.Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello,The question is fairly simple.I have an Interface page with a button that updates a field called “X” (basically an on/off checkbox). However, I would also like to record which user triggered the button and when it was triggered.Updating the checkbox itself is immediate using a button with the “Update record” action.My questions are: Is there any way to also capture the portal user’s email, ID, or any other unique identifier into another field (let’s call it “Action X triggered by user”) using the same “Update record” button action, or would I need to trigger an automation and run a script? Same question for storing the timestamp when the button is clicked. Notes: I tried using a single line text field for the user, but the value is not dynamic and must be predefined in the Interface button settings. Hello, community. I’ve already submitted my request via the Airtable form, but I wanted to ask if any of you would find this useful as well? Maybe some feedback on this would help draw attention to it. I think it would be great if we could save and select presets of an interface’s settings. For example, I want to see a specific type of task here that I need from time to time. Having a saved setting for this would be great. What do you think?

We’re looking at turning on AI for our Enterprise grade account and expect that we wouldn’t burn through the monthly quota of 25K credits per Editor licence, but given we haven’t trialled anything, I’m really just stabbing in the dark as to what our usage would be.We would use it for sentiment analysis, researching on the Internet, document analysis (which is more heavy on the credit usage), a lot of Question/Answer and also reporting anaylsis through Omni I’d imagine.I just wanted to see if anyone out ‘in the real world’ was finding they were bumping into limits and need to restrict usage or whatever.Cheers, Dan.

I have two tables:InvoicesTime Invoices has a project, start date and end date.Time has a project, start date and hours. I’m trying to find all the time records between the Invoice start and end dates for a project and assign them to the invoice. But when I try to find the time AT only allows static choices, not dynamic. How can I make this work?

I sometimes wonder why I still pay airtable money. For an application that claims to be good for time planning it’s mad it still doesn’t seem to be able to do time and date maths properly. I am in UK (so GMT/BST) - I want to have a date field and a separate time field, and to be able to combine these two into a calculated dateTimenothing I have tried seems to work reliably for this without jumping the date back to UTC Has anyone found a solution for what should be a trivial task?Thanks Richard

Hi!I need to track attendance for different cohorts put on throughout the year. Each cohort has multiple sessions and multiple attendees. When attendees are linked to a cohort, I would like to automatically create attendance records for every session linked to that cohort. Attendance statuses will be updated manually later. I am having trouble setting up the looping automation. I have never set one up before and I am getting stuck. Hi everyone! I hope I explain this correctly since I’m not an Airtable guru. I created an Airtable automation with Gmail and completed a project yesterday. I want the client to receive an automated email confirming completion of the project today. Images of configuration and results are attached, but the email hasn’t been sent yet. I assumed it would have been sent by now and it hasn’t. I’m CST and currently it’s 10:55am. Am I missing anything?

I have three Tables. - Commit Items, Invoice Header, and Invoice Detail. Lets assume that For Commit No ACB001 there are 4 Records in Commit Items Table with many records for other Commit Nos.. When the invoice is received for Commit No ABC001 and entered on Invoice Header table with Invoice No and Commit No ABC001, I would like automation to grab four records from Commit Items table and create those 4 records + Invoice number in Invoice Detail table. How do I achieve this? Just a reminder, I am new to AirTable.

I’ve imported several tables into AT. They each had a day field (no time element). I just noticed all the dates are +1 day from what they should be. How is this even possible?More importantly, how do I fix it?

Hi guys,I’m building a CRM within Airtable and need to create a two-way sync between Airtable and Google Calendar so if an event is created/updated/deleted in one, it automatically updates in the other. This is the current setup I have: A separate ‘Meetings’ table for events created within Airtable and a separate table that’s integrated with the Google Calendar (on the interface, it will all just be one calendar). I am trying to create an “Update Record” automation so if an event is updated in Airtable, it updates in Google Calendar but I’m running into some issues and with the vice-versa automation.The trigger runs successfully but the action always fails:Always the same error processing the actionHas anyone done a two-way sync before and can please shed some light on how to achieve this? Thank you!

In the interface I have a list with two linked levels. Level 2 (parent) only has a handful of records. One of the records in Level 2 has over 4000 Level1 (child) records. When I open that parent record to vie the child records it is extremely slow and the slowness makes the application largely non responsive - until I move to a different parent record or some other table in the interface.  If I simply open another list in the interface with only the one child table, all 4500 records open pretty much instantly. What's the best way to handle this?

Many of the staff only need to view their tasks and record certain information in a couple of processes.I’ve designed a form for this purpose.On the other hand, the Interface contains multiple administrative views and queries.Currently, we only have one editor user and one viewer user.Unfortunately, I can’t get the staff to have access only to creating, editing, and viewing their own tasks.I’ve tried embeds, iframes, HTML… in many different ways, and nothing works. Hi guys,I have been trying to format my gmail body using html tags but i am not getting my desired output. The formatting looks awfl when sent to customer. Extra spaces have been added above & below the text despite setting the padding to 0. In a rich-text enabled long text I can use [] to create a check list.Trying to create a checklist by default in an automation using the same function but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there anything different I need to do if this is a capability? If not i can look into adding it to a script that I have earlier in the automation.

Hi,How can I change which fields are visible in the “Click to see underlying records” drill-down in an interface dashboard pivot table?Automatically I get “sum” and “link to cost centers” but I’d need to show something else.  Airtable instructions claim that you should be able to do it, but I just can’t see where to do it. “Underlying record detailsIn the User actions section of a dashboard visualization there is the option to allow end users to "Click to see underlying data" from the interface page. This option is per-visualization, meaning you as a builder have the granularity to toggle this on for individual dashboard insights. I’m an executive assistant who manages a “phone sheet” for an individual in the entertainment industry for someone who “rolls calls.” For those not familiar, essentially I call on the behalf of my boss and then keep a running log of all the outgoing calls placed but not answered, incoming calls not answered, reminders for calls to make at a later date, and then mark completed/connected calls. I use a program called “Phoneslate” that I’m attempting to make a dupe on Airtable. Here’s my question: I would like to be able to enter in someone, let’s say “John Smith,” and then have a column where I can select any of the phone numbers linked on the record. As you can see in the example photos, I would like to add a column between the lookup “Company (from Person)” and “Notes”, where it’ll auto-pop up the 4 different phone number columns and I can select one of the linked numbers. I don’t need all of the numbers listed to appear in the grid, just the one that I would select as the best number

 This thing is extremely annoying and interferes with editing the table. The only way I’ve found to disable it is to turn off Omni for the entire base. Is there any simpler way?

Hi,I need to pad a number to a fixed amount of digits (8), i.e. prepend with leading zeros when the significant number is less than 8.This is easy enough to do for integers with a substitute formula:RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8)However, in my scenario I have decimals and that doesn’t work, since a number 10.00 will count as 2 digits while 10.11 counts as four digits. Hence the padding will be off.I can replace the decimal character for the decimals with something else than .00, but the .00 ones still counts as two digits shorter.SUBSTITUTE( RIGHT("00000000" & {Test SUM},8), ".", "")The above substitute/right formula gives this result. The .45 decimal number is otherwise right but has one leading zero too little. The .00 number is off by two positions to the right (should be 00012300). I tried to come up with a way to treat the integer part and the decimal part separately, but could not find a way with LEN/MID/LEFT/RIGHT to split up 123 and 00 to two separate parts. The de
