Scenario Field | Type | Value-------------------------------Amount | number | 100VAT rate | Single select | 13.5VAT amount | formula | {Amount (Net)} * VALUE(SUBSTITUTE({VAT Rate}, "%", "")) / 100 Interesting to see that the VAT Amount value is 14????It should be 13.5, well, mathematically speaking it has to be 13.5 With VAT rate as number, it works as it should be.However the idea is to use single select to reduce human error/workload. Is it possible to get VAT Rate as single select and VAT Amount working together correctly?Any ideas out there? Hi,It seems that the Google Calendar: Create Event requires a hard coded (chosen) calendar to place an event in. We have used a shared calendar for this, but it gets somewhat messy.Hence, would it somehow be possible to have the event placed in a dynamically chosen calendar? Hello, I have a workflow which includes repetitive data input. Simple copy-paste have some drawbacks.I have a table called Orders. Each row is one order which includes product, quantity etc. Each order requires multiple tasks to complete and there is a linked table for that called Order tasks. Orders come in patches with different products but every product tasks are very similar. I would like to configure first order tasks and then copy it to the rest of the orders. The problem is that then there are only first few tasks which are linked to ALL of the orders. Each order should have their own set of rows in Order tasks table.I have tried multiple workarounds but I haven’t found working solution. For example, duplicating rows in Order tasks table makes it very tedious to relink to correct row in Order table. I have also configured “allow linking to multiple records” but it seems to have no effect when copying and still links to multiple records even when not allowed.Is there some kind o

Hello,I am new to junction tables and have pretty much zero scripting experience, so bear with me.I am trying to create a breakdown of call sheets for group shoots and create individual “shifts” in a junction table. The goal is to be able to adjust start and end times for those linked in the shoots and to be able to create a more comprehensive reporting interface to track hours and OT by multiple criteria.I cannot show the actual base, but have created a basic example of the structure and result of Airtable’s junction table extension.Client tab:Franchise: Franchises have assigned POCs for internal notifications. I’m using the same automation with the same attachments, but it only runs a few times within about 5 minutes and then starts failing repeatedly for 20-30 minutes.I’m on a Business plan and have more than enough AI credits, so I don’t think it’s a usage limit issue. Does anyone know what might be causing this behavior?   

I just want to highlight or select 20 views or more at a time and delete them when we move from one school term to the next or one year to the next. Is there now a way to do this? There are some posts about this from years ago ...

I’m an executive assistant who manages a “phone sheet” for an individual in the entertainment industry for someone who “rolls calls.” For those not familiar, essentially I call on the behalf of my boss and then keep a running log of all the outgoing calls placed but not answered, incoming calls not answered, reminders for calls to make at a later date, and then mark completed/connected calls. I use a program called “Phoneslate” that I’m attempting to make a dupe on Airtable. Here’s my question: I would like to be able to enter in someone, let’s say “John Smith,” and then have a column where I can select any of the phone numbers linked on the record. As you can see in the example photos, I would like to add a column between the lookup “Company (from Person)” and “Notes”, where it’ll auto-pop up the 4 different phone number columns and I can select one of the linked numbers. I don’t need all of the numbers listed to appear in the grid, just the one that I would select as the best number

I want to use the Claude - Airtable connector in my team which allows them to create records from within claude. I want to make sure that when they are creating a record, for eg. a Task, they are asked to give all the information that is required for my processes. I don’t see how I can set the SOP when allowing them to create/edit from claude.

It sparked a bunch of ideas for how we could use it in projects at my organization.Now that I am back (after rough flights)! I have enabled all AI models and AI Labs features in our Airtable workspace (we are on a Business plan). However, even though everything appears to be turned on, I am not seeing the “Generate Image” option, nor do I see any image related field agent available. Interestingly, I do see the "Video (AI Labs)" option.Am I missing a step to enable image generation? I am very new to airtable so excuse me if I misunderstand some things.I am trying to use airtable to create a calendar of my bookings.I have two types of bookings. One that lasts exactly 30 minutes and one that lasts several days and start and end time are customizable.Because its a chore to pick a date and time exactly 30 minutes past the start time for my short bookings Im trying to run an automation so that anytime I create a record with no end date it will set the end date field to exactly 30 minutes past the start date.Is this possible?  

Hi,I’m new to airtable and I try to make a script triggered from a button field. I need to get the selected record linked to the button clicked but could not find how to achieve this.I can’t believe there is no way to get the current record id from the script, what am I missing?Thanks.

We use Airtable Interface to match caregivers to clients based on required skills such as Alzheimer’s care, hospice experience, and Hoyer lift. Multi-select fields are the best structure for this type of data because they are clean, scalable, and easy for our team to maintain.In the Interface, we use multi-select dropdowns such as “Skills and Experience” to narrow down caregivers. However, when selecting multiple values in the dropdown, the behavior uses OR logic instead of AND.For example, if we select both “Alzheimer’s Care” and “Hospice Experience,” the results show caregivers who have either skill, not those who have both.In real workflows, we often need to find caregivers who meet multiple required criteria at the same time, such as Alzheimer’s care and hospice. Hello !We have a list of contacts for each entity that we work with. Within this list of people, there are 1-3 people who are designated as authority contacts.I am trying to automate an email to send out periodic reminders to review their information. With a single auth contact, I have a working automation with links personalized to each person.This becomes harder when there are multiple auth contacts. I need the email to be sent to the group of people rather than individually. If I use a token to pull the URL value for the record, it’ll show duplicates of the URL in the email body. Anyone know of a way I can rework this or add to it to make sure that only one of the records’ values displays?

I would like to see the date instead of “5d ago”.  Is that possible?

Jotform integration can only add new records to Airtable; it can’t update a record, correct? I have a table with a couple of hundred records (name, email, etc.) and want to send out a Jotform survey to everyone that will automatically populate each record with their answers. This is currently impossible without some third-party go-between, as far as I know. Is this not a basic function of databases, being able to update the records? If I can create a simple three-step solution in Zapier to update records from Jotform submissions instead of adding new ones is there any reason Airtable can’t do this natively? I could do it in Filemaker thirty years ago.

DescriptionWhile participating in the Let’s Play Hackathon, I encountered what appears to be an inconsistency in how Airtable Interfaces render record detail layouts across platforms.When a Record Detail layout is configured to open in Full-screen mode from a Gallery component, the record still opens as a sidesheet panel on desktop, even though the layout is explicitly configured to use full-screen.Interestingly, the same configuration works correctly on mobile devices, where the record opens in full-screen as expected. This creates inconsistent behavior between desktop and mobile environments.Because the Interface Designer provides a clear configuration option for full-screen mode, the expected behavior is that this layout preference should be respected consistently across platforms.Steps to Reproduce Create an Interface in Airtable. Hi,I’m trying to use linked records in a “When record is created” automation to create records in a repeating group, but I don’t understand how to get it to work.I googled and reviewed Airtable’s support documentation (https://support.airtable.com/docs/repeating-groups-of-automation-actions), but that was less than helpful. It confirms linked records can be used, but doesn’t open up how to do that.The background is that I want to create Invoice Header and Invoice Line Item records in separate tables based on one order record with products as linked records. First a new order triggers creating a new Invoice Header record, then this triggers creating a new line item record for each of the linked product records.(I first tried to create both the header and the line item records in one automation, but that didn’t work because one cannot have repeating groups inside a conditional step. Hello! I’m trying to create an automation that allows me to add someone to a collaborator field without replacing any data that is already in the field. Is this possible? That is, if 3 people are already in the collaborator field and I want to add a fourth via an automation, can the fourth be added without removing the other 3 that are already in the field?

I’m a newbie to Airtable/Fillout, coming from another app builder.I run a small school charter service on weekends, between schools and home towns.  My clients book their kids on the app. Currently I calculate the trip dates but I think a table with trip dates is easier to use. My problem is: The booking form needs to get the first available row from the dates table - the table has 3 columns for date home, date back to school and trips completed.(Clients book for both weekend dates at once, just selecting 1 or both dates.)In my still-current app the users table is the logon validation table and its data is accessible everywhere in the app. There the dates are calculated in columns but then also checked against long weekends dates an school term dates. A lot of columns thus. So if I can get the first Date Home and the first Date School from the TripDates table where the Completed “cell” is empty, I can get rid of the calculations.The problem obviously is that there is

I have a base that tracks work request tickets. One of the fields I initially built in was a ‘Priority’ field, with options of Low, Normal, and High. Having used this base for several months, nobody has ever selected Low and a wide majority have selected Normal, with a small handful of High.I’d like to change this field to a checkbox for High priority, and we can assume the ticket is Normal otherwise. Is there a way to change the field without losing the data that’s currently there? Can I somehow convert the ones that had selected “High” into having a checked box?

I work for a small nonprofit and am trying to build a base to track our required legal filings. I have tried generating formulas and/or automations to help create an auto updating due date field but nothing that I have found to try is working. The base has 2 tables, one with list of the required filings and one with the submissions, linked to the proper required filing. On the required filings table I have a field with the current due date, a rollup showing the most recent submission date, and a single select field for the frequency of the required filing (annual, etc). I want the current due date to update when the year in the most recent submission and the current due date match. The new due date would be based on the single select field where Annual = advance 1 year, Biennial = advance 2 years, Quinquennial = advance 5 years, and One-Time = remove the date.  For example, if our Form 990 has a current due date of May 15, 2026 and is due annually, when we add the filing listing that i
